MEGAN HYATT MILLER: Embracing the Unconventional Path
Saison 3 · Épisode 68
mercredi 18 décembre 2024 • Durée 01:02:14
In this episode of The Double Win Show, Megan Hyatt Miller delivers a powerful and heartfelt keynote about her journey as CEO of Full Focus. She candidly shares the lessons she’s learned through leadership challenges, personal growth, and the pursuit of sustainable success.
Drawing on her experiences, Megan offers four unconventional keys for success as a leader. Whether you’re a business leader, entrepreneur, or simply someone seeking greater fulfillment, this episode is packed with wisdom to help you align your priorities and grow into the person you’re meant to be.
Memorable Quotes
- “Most worthwhile things are harder and take longer than we think they should… They’re really costly, and often painful, and always testing the limits of our patience.”
- “These experiences of resistance strengthen the architecture of our character enough to hold the weight of success. Sustainable success demands maturity.”
- “The hardest problems—the ones that make us want to throw in the towel—are often the exact reason we’re in the room.”
- “If you could dare to believe it, problems aren’t a bug, they’re a feature—a feature that grows us up.”
- “You can’t wait until you’ve arrived to start living fully. You have to build the life you want as you go.”
- “The process of becoming is the best part of being human. That sense of reaching for more, of fulfilling our potential, of growing into the kinds of people our younger selves would admire—that’s the heart of a life well-lived.”
Key Takeaways
- Less is More. Growth requires focus and patience. Overextending leads to burnout, but prioritizing what truly matters ensures lasting impact.
- Problems Aren’t Problems. They’re not signs of failure but invitations to grow stronger and wiser. Accept them as part of the process.
- Keep On Going. Success takes time, persistence, and maturity. Stay committed to the journey, even when it’s hard.
- Remember What Matters. True fulfillment comes from balancing professional achievements with a thriving personal life.

BRAD JOHNSON: More Significance, Less Regret
Saison 3 · Épisode 27
mercredi 11 décembre 2024 • Durée 01:02:40
In this episode of The Double Win Show, Michael Hyatt and Megan Hyatt Miller are joined by Brad Johnson, host of the Do Business Do Life podcast, to discuss how to achieve sustainable success in both work and life even when it means defying industry norms. Brad Johnson discusses his journey from financial advisor to co-founder of Triad Partners, showing how he balances professional success with personal fulfillment. Brad highlights how challenges signal growth, advocating for therapy, humility, and embracing the "infinite game" to thrive in work and life.
Memorable Quotes
- “When all you do is deal with money all day, every day, sometimes people can get consumed by it. The pursuit of it… They accidentally build the prison around themselves that they’re trying to break out of.”
- “I can’t buy time back. There’s a more valuable asset on the line and it’s time.”
- “A weekly paycheck is the most addictive drug in the world.”
- “It’s completely different to be a great business owner than to be a great financial advisor.”
- “Your differences are your strengths.”
- “People will not follow volatile leaders.”
- “Every entrepreneur should be in therapy and that’s whether or not they think they need it.”
- “The challenge is the reward for going to the next level.”
- “The biggest thing is if you want to build a business bigger than you, you better focus a ton on vision, a ton on culture.”
Key Takeaways
- Culture Matters: Businesses often underinvest in culture and vision, which are essential for lasting growth.
- Redefining Success: Brad shows how to ensure your business serves your life, not dominates it.
- Integration Over Balance: Treat work and life as partners rather than competitors.
- Lead by Growing: Personal growth, including therapy, is vital for effective leadership.
- Relationships First: Strong connections drive fulfillment and business success.

HAL ELROD: The Miracle of Resilience
Saison 3 · Épisode 19
mercredi 9 octobre 2024 • Durée 01:00:07
In this episode of The Double Win Show, Michael Hyatt and Megan Hyatt Miller welcome Hal Elrod, author of the bestselling book The Miracle Morning. Hal shares his remarkable journey of overcoming a near-fatal car accident, a battle with cancer, and multiple life setbacks—all while maintaining unwavering faith and resilience. He details how these hardships shaped his path and inspired his global movement to help millions create life-changing morning routines. Hal also introduces his powerful “5-Minute Rule” for moving through adversity and offers practical insights for building habits that will transform your life.
Memorable Quotes
- “I can’t change what happened, but I can choose to be at peace with what I can’t change, grateful for what I have, and focus on the things that are in my control.”
- “The more you resist reality and wish it were different, the more pain we create for ourselves. Freedom is in acceptance. Freedom is in being at peace with what you can’t change.”
- “Most people who experience failure probably didn’t stay with it for long enough. They didn’t have the frustration tolerance. So they just gave up and said, ‘This isn’t working.’ And it takes a while to break through.”
- “I love that you’re starting your day with silence—peaceful, purposeful silence to get centered, to gain clarity, to calm your nervous system.”
- “I was prioritizing the impact I could make in the world over the impact I could make in my family. It was quantity over quality. When I had cancer, it was the epiphany that the impact I could make on their three lives far superseded the impact I could make on the world.”
- “The Miracle Morning allows me to focus on the two things I can control: Who I become every day and how I show up. It is ensuring I am fully aware of what’s going on inside me and thoughtful and intentional about showing up as my best for those I love and lead.
Key Takeaways
- The 5-Minute Rule: Allow yourself five minutes to process difficult emotions, then let go by saying, "I can’t change it," and move forward.
- The Power of Ritual: Implementing the Miracle Morning routine (silence, affirmations, visualization, exercise, reading, and journaling) can shift your mindset and set you up for success, no matter how busy or unpredictable life gets.
- Writing Affirmations that Work: Passive affirmations take you nowhere, but written commitments that connect the future you want to the actions you’ll take drive transformation.
- What Matters Most: It took a cancer scare for Hal to realize that changing the lives of his family “far superseded” changing the world.
- Resilience Through Faith: Hal’s unshakeable belief in himself and his faith helped him defy the odds and recover from life-threatening challenges.

Why a Thriving Culture Is Essential
Saison 1 · Épisode 205
mercredi 24 août 2022 • Durée 32:11
Anywhere you find a group of people, you'll find a culture. That's true for families, churches, cities, neighborhoods, and anything else that you can think of that includes more than one person. This idea is especially true for businesses. Leaders need to have a vision for how they want their culture to look and feel. If they don't, you could find yourself surrounded by a toxic culture that not only hurts business, but makes everyone miserable.
In this episode, Michael and Megan will talk about the four ways that culture drives employee satisfaction and operating results.
You will learn:
- A useful definition for company culture that is specific and actionable.
- The value that security (in all forms) brings to happiness and productivity.
- The importance of a person's congruence between home and work.
- How to recognize culture drift in your organization.

What Elon Musk Gets Wrong About Remote Work
Saison 1 · Épisode 202
mardi 2 août 2022 • Durée 35:32
During the heigh of the pandemic, everyone was forced to go remote. But, now that offices have opened back up, leaders and staff are confronted with some challenging questions around a seemingly basic concept: Where should work happen?
Elon Musk publicly drew his own line in the sand when he declared that all Tesla employees must work "for a minimum (and I mean *minimum*) of 40 hours per week" in-person before they could do any remote work. Failure to show up meant that they employees got fired. It's clear that Elon Musk finds remote work to be "pretend" work.
We don't agree with him. We do, however, think that it's important to critically examine the nature of your organization and how both in-person and remote options have their own benefits.
In this episode, you will learn-
- What's best about in-person and remote work options
- How different organizations (and even different jobs within an organization) might have different location needs
- How a hybrid system leverages the best of both worlds and how we use it as Full Focus.
