lundi 7 juillet 2025Durée 42:18

In this special crossover series with the Behavioural Intelligence Academy, we pull back the curtain on the skillset that turns good observers into elite operators.

This episode is your gateway into the world of Behavioural Intelligence what it is, why it matters, and how to start practising it in your everyday life.

We break down the science and strategy behind reading people, places, and patterns  not through guesswork or pseudoscience but with structured, evidence-based observation. Whether you're decoding someone's motives mid-conversation or scanning a room for subtle shifts in dynamics, Behavioural Intelligence is the ultimate force multiplier.

You’ll learn:

🧠 What Behavioural Intelligence actually is and why it goes far beyond body language.

🔍 Simple drills you can do daily to sharpen your behavioural radar.

📚 Key reads to deepen your edge from profiling to perception, decision-making to deception.

All of it, grounded in logic, sharpened by science, and wrapped in the same wit and observational mischief you’ve come to expect from The Deductionist.

Episode 55: The Gabby Petito Incident

Épisode 55

vendredi 15 octobre 2021Durée 01:08:34

In this episode we look at the gabby Petito incident in more detail. From the video that i made on reviewing the body camera footage of when poor Ms.Petito was pulled over it became abundantly clear that there was much too much information to get into during the episode.

This was what formulated the basis for our podcast episode. Me and Adam breakdown the motivations for the behaviours seen and can be confirmed. The important details that could be significant that will more than likely be overlooked. Would it be more preferential to listen to the behavioural details of a girls mother or her ex-partner.

Episode 54: The Anniversary Special! 1 years old!!

Épisode 54

vendredi 8 octobre 2021Durée 01:46:17

This is a very special episode for us! I initially created the podcast to be quite linear in detail and then as it evolved it has become more and more than I ever thought possible. In this episode we take a look back at some of the things that we have been able to accomplish over the last year, in lockdown. Some of the guests, the discussions, the filming and above all, THE WORK! We are so very grateful that you chose to spend your time with us and we are very much looking forward to sharing so much more with you in the future.

Episode 53: Lie Detection Myths Exposed

Épisode 53

vendredi 1 octobre 2021Durée 57:56

Hi Everyone!

In this episode we take a look at some of the more harmful myths surrounding how we are supposed to detect lies. What is the polygraph and can it really tell when people are lying and if not, how many lives has it effectively trashed? Are women better at this than men? Do we look in specific ways when we tell lies and in relation to the rest of our body? Do we say specific words and make specific actions? Did Lie to me ruin our ability to separate truth from fiction? Can we really tell a life story from an eyebrow twitch? or is the truest thing about all of this that there is no pinocchio effect?

Episode 52: Where is Bias from and how can we use it?

Épisode 52

vendredi 24 septembre 2021Durée 01:25:02

In this episode we take a look at where bias comes from and how we can best use this to our advantage. It is something that can illuminate those that we are reading but we should never forget the potential pitfalls that we can face as a result of our own biases. Is it car crash tv and justin bieber that stops you from thinking critically or is it a world of other things? Listen on to find out more about how you can use this information to your advantage in the field.

Episode 51: The Importance of Henry Spencer

Épisode 51

vendredi 17 septembre 2021Durée 01:08:40

In this episode we take a reminiscent look at my wedding and how I kept my training up even during the big day. As my wife got me a lovely message from the wonderful human that is Corbin Bernsen, me and adam have decided to take a reflective look at why Henry Spencer might be one of the most important characters from the hit show Psych when it comes to the development of acute observational skills. Not that Shawn would ever admit that to be fair, although, i have heard it both ways!

Episode 50: Chunking Up Your Memory

Épisode 50

lundi 13 septembre 2021Durée 47:00

Better late than never! The episode should have been out on the friday just gone, but I got married and was on my honeymoon. So here it is!

We are looking at what is (in my opinion anyway) a technique in memorisation and observation work that is very often overlooked - Chunking. What is it? How does it work? Why is useful to us in the world of reading people and observation? Listen on to find out more about how you can use a big pile of coins to help you become more observant of the world around you.

Episode 49: The Problem With Youtube Videos

Épisode 49

vendredi 3 septembre 2021Durée 47:51

in this episode I take a look at a statement that was posed to me by one of my very good friends. Are youtube videos on body language worthwhile and are the ones that are out there, nothing more than self congratulatory masturbation? It is a valid and significant point! One that does need further investigation from everyone! More specifically, everyone who is interested in this field as experts don't exist!
