Today I want to talk with you about How to start facing your fears to create massive results in your life.   All of us have challenges and fears in our life that we are faced with from time to time.  Sometimes these fears are minor and sometimes they can become extremely debilitating.  Either way, we only truly grow and succeed when we face our fears.  Most of us have heard the phrase:   True Success and Growth is created outside your comfort zone.     I love this statement because it reminds me to focus on the opportunities that are presented to me whenever a challenge or fear is put in my path.  I have experienced time and time again the success and fulfillment that as come into my life by facing my fears and “leaning into what I fear most”.   There has never been a better time to learn and act on this principle than now.  Our business, social, and economic environment is placing many fears in our path and I believe we can use this as an opportunity to Learn more about Ourselves, Grow our Success, and Create an Amazing Life of Fulfillment and Prosperity.  But it will require some Bold, Courageous and Intentional Actions on our part.  I hope this message might inspire you to do just that…   The Time I Walked Away from $250k. There have been many times that I have had to face my fears in difficult situations and life events.  However, I can think of one in particular that really pushed me to a new level.     I was twenty-nine years old and had built a successful sales team for leading online stock education company.  I was doing very well financially and had built a team consistently generating me over $250k per year.  More importantly, I was married and had 5 kids at the time.   I had built a relationship with an individual that owned a small events company doing about $20M per year in revenue with about 20 employees.  This individual had presented me with the opportunity to walk away from my “cush” “job” and become the CEO of his company.  I’m not sure what he saw in me, and I certainly did not feel qualified for the position.  But, I was faced with the challenge/opportunity to walk away from a already built $250k per year to earn a commission (on on profit) of helping him to grow his company.     I certainly saw the potential, but it was a thought that literally terrified me.  I had worked very hard to create the level of success I had created (from the ground up) and knew that it would require some serious “heavy lifting” to jump ship and move to the next level with this offer.  I spent many long, stressful and thoughtful days considering the offer.   I knew that I wanted to go to the next level.  The opportunity appeared to be sound but I would give up a solid (bird in the hand) income for an upside that was not guaranteed in any way.  To say I was scared to make the move would be an understatement.  But ultimately, I chose to make the move and I have never looked back.  In hindsight, that move is what gave me an incredible amount of experience, success, relationships and life skills.  It was a bumpy ride (which we can cover at another time), but we were able to grow the company to over $200M in net collected revenue with over 300 employees in 5 short years.  This was a perfect example of leaning into my Fear in order to Grow and Create Success.   What do you Fear Most? So the question I have for you is, “What is it that you fear right now in your professional life?”  Is there an opportunity that you have been considering or presented with?  Is there a skill that you have put off learning or developing?  Is there a personal passion that you have wanted to start building a business around?  Are there investing opportunities that you don’t feel qualified to start learning and doing?  Maybe you have some current challenges or problems in your life or business that you simply don’t feel qualified to deal with.  Maybe you have a relationship or a family matter that you can’t seem to get up the courage to start working on.  Regardless of what the fear is that is present in your life, I can promise you that your “Greatest Accomplishments”…Your Best Life…is waiting just beyond that challenge or fear.   See, I believe that your Fear is there for a reason that will benefit you.  Maybe it’s your gut telling you that you need to address it.  Maybe its your subconscious mind identifying to you an area that you can learn and grow from.  Don’t get me wrong, I believe that fears can be real (in life and especially in our minds), but I also believe most FEAR is something we create to avoid problems in our lives…simply put it is "false events appearing real."  Maybe another way to look at FEAR is to see it as an opportunity, or a Highlighted area for Growth rather than a red flag to run away from.   Either way, you were meant to do great things and can only accomplish your best life by addressing the road blocks holding you back from Greatness.

How to Manage Your Thoughts14 Apr 202000:14:59
Today I’d like to talk to you about Managing Your Thoughts.  I know that each of us is spending much more time “inside our head”, because of the limited interactions we have on a daily basis due to the effects of the Covid-19 Virus.     I want to use a Favorite Book of mine as a reference (and a recommendation) for this discussion.  I highly recommend the book Managing Thought by Mary J. Lore.  The subtitle is Think Differently. Think Powerfully.  Achieve New Levels of Success.  I think this book will definitely help you accomplish those goals.  I also agree with the Author that the book will help you to:   Rethink your path to success Refocus your goals and priorities Reframe your negative thoughts Reignite your creativity Revitalize your energy Restore your sense of purpose Reclaim your peace of mind   This book talks about a process for Managing Your Thoughts, but the first 5-6 Chapters (which I will re read on occasion) really help to set up the argument that You are Not Your Mind.  We’ve talked about this before on The Daily Mastermind, and it was (frankly) one of the most listened to Episodes Ever.  I believe this is attributed to the fact that we all get “stuck inside our head” at times.    But, I really want to talk about managing your thoughts this week because I am just as concerned and aware that most of us “don’t manage our thoughts”.  In other words, when we are not actively managing our thoughts, our lives are still being affected.  Managing Your Thought is not just a topic for people focused on Personal Development.  I believe everyone should be consciously working on their thoughts because everyone should want to live a life of happiness and fulfillment.   So, lets discuss this more using some key ideas I have learned from this book:   Now is the only reality that exists.  I love this thought because to influence your life, you must be present and accomplish this in the NOW.   Buddha said, We are what we think.  All that we are arises with our thoughts.  With our thoughts we remake the world.  (in the present)   There are 3 Keys to Success in Managing our Thoughts 1-self awareness 2-self mastery 3-being on purpose   We’ve been taught that our Actions Drive our Results, but this is not entirely true.  I’ve mentioned this several times, but our Thoughts and Beliefs are what affect our thoughts.  That is why our Results are Truly driven by our Thoughts and Beliefs that drive our Actions.  (Belief Cycle)   I love the idea that when we are INSPIRED is when we Achieve Results.  The happiness, thankfulness, vision, purpose, and wonder of possibly is what drive Creativity and Results.   So, the question we really need to ask ourselves is whether we are Driving our Thoughts, or are we plagued with self-doubt, fear, and worry.  Are we Reactive (autopilot) or Proactive with our thoughts?   Eckhart Tolle said, “Thinking has become a disease.  It is not so much that you use yoru mind wrongly…you usually don’t use it at all.  It uses you.  That is the disease.  You believe that you are your mind.”   We need to Understand and Acknowledge that we are NOT our Minds….   Our Minds or Brains are Tools that are observe, sense, store, retrieve information.     The key way of using this tool is to be aware of our minds and the awareness empowers us.   This is the KEY…when we STOP to become Aware, we SHIFT our minds from the Hypothalamus to the Frontal Cortex of the Brain.  This allows the CEO of our mind to take over and create many more solutions.     I recommend Practice, Practice, Practice of just NOTICING your thoughts.   Another key point to understand is that when we CALM our minds we are far more productive.  We all know that our average daily thoughts are in the neighborhood of 60-100k per day.  Creativity literally goes out the window when we are so overwhelmed or overloaded with thoughts.  This is why is it so difficult to get things done when you are forcing yourself to come up with solutions during stressful times.  Trust me when I say I Notice and Experience this often.     The biggest Solution you can have when this happens is to literally STOP what you are doing and take a break, go for a walk, do some exercise or meditate.  I know from experience that this is very had to do in the moment, but when you are aware of your thoughts you will recognize this situation and act on it.  Try it and see how much more productive you can become when you give you mind a break and create a calm, centered and creative mind.   Another key thing I like to remind myself of is that we are also not our Feelings.  Our minds and our feelings are just a reflection of things going on in our world.  BUT (and I emphasize this) our Feelings are an incredible tool to help us Manage our Minds.  They are a great indicator as to whether or not we are “on purpose” and moving the right direction.  When our thoughts trigger negative or difficult emotions, it is a great indication that something is wrong.  Maybe we are not aligned with the best version of ourselves, and maybe we are not moving in the right direction.   When this happens, STOP and become aware of your Emotions.  When you take a step back and analyze your emotions, it is a powerful way to take control of the situation and rather than let it get the best of you.  I do believe we need to allow emotions to take their course rather than fight them, but its true that you can deal with them much better when you are not reactive and controlled by your emotions.   Now, just the reverse can be true with powerful positive emotions.  Plus, Powerful Positive Thoughts and Emotions can be a real catalyst for Inspiration and Creativity.  That is why we always talk about Positive Affirmations or Declarations.   This is a way to turn Weak Thoughts and Emotions into Powerful and Productive Thoughts & Emotions.     Love, Gratitude, and Forgiveness are far more powerful than Anger, Resentment and Blame.   Saying things like “I am successful” are far more powerful than “I want to be successful”.   Saying I “should be” is not as powerful as saying “I choose to be”.  Does that make sense.   Be aware of your Thoughts, Feelings, Emotions and that awareness will Empower you to Create Massive Change and Results in your life.  Now, I don’t time to really cover all of this book I am referring to, but there is one other example I’d like to highlight.     The author refers to the process of Managing Your Thoughts like that of Pruning a Tree.  In order to truly Grow a Strong Tree, you must Start with Purpose, Prune the Tree and then Cultivate it Daily.  T Harv Eker also talks about this concept when he says “The Roots Create the Fruits”.  In other words, you can’t just “let it happen”.  You need to consciously and specifically decide what you want and cultivate and nurture those results.   I want to encourage you to pick up a copy of this book and I will do my best to find a time to interview Mary Lore and maybe we can get into more details on the actual “Process” she goes through in the book.  She covers many topics in depth that I think will help you go through eh process of managing your thoughts like:   identifying thoughts that waste time, energy and money identifying destructive and diseased thoughts how to shape your thoughts how to ask powerful questions making powerful statements daily cultivation how to manage your energy and spirit and many many more ideas   Ultimately, I there are many examples, studies, stories and descriptions that I feel can really help you to lock in the knowledge and wisdom contained in this topic throughout the book.   With that said, I want to (once again) encourage you to Empower yourself by learning to STOP and become AWARE of your thoughts each day.  Practice it this week.  Watch what happens when you make that action to notice your thoughts. Notice how much more objective you will become, and notice how much more productive you will Monday we talked about What’s Driving Your Behavior…    Today I want to talk to you about the topics of Pleasure or Pain? …this is a topic that really helped me…and still work on to this day.   NOTE-Consumers in the Marketplace shifting to Pain… So its very important to “UNDERSTAND HUMAN BEHAVIOR’ …This will affect your business life …More importantly it affects your personal life   Tony Robbins one of best teachers of this...    He is known for topic of teaching how to use our Personal Power   Question:  What stops us from using our power?   Answer:  Human Behavior controlled by FEAR   Better put…..We want to avoid Pain, Rejection, Failure    If you Dig Deeper we ultimately are DRIVEN by (2) PAIN or PLEASURE   We know what to do... We know what we want... Then why don't we do it? Why don’t we follow through? What prevents you from taking action?   ANSWER…Two forces keep you from Your Goal….PAIN or PLEASURE   Let me give Examples: Ladies…why do you put on makeup…pleasure or pain Gentlemen…why are you afraid to approach a Woman…pain or pleasure   When we don’t take action (use power)…we procrastinate Procrastination is the opposite of Taking Action…   Why do we procrastinate?…pain or pleasure… We believe “not taking action” is we have less pain than pleasure   Ultimately the PAIN outweighs our PLEASURE   Key #1 You MUST learn how to control the two areas FOR RESULTS in life …it will affect your ENTIRE life…You KNOW this   Example… -diets or losing weight *why do we eat bad foods….PLEASURE outweighs PAIN -finishing your work project or homework *why don't we do these…Procrastination...PAIN outweigh PLEASURE -sleeping in…pain or pleasure -relationship, connecting….pain of rejection vs pleasure of connection ..every area of your life follows this pattern   *Avoiding PAIN is always HIGHER than Gaining PLEASURE...   KEY #2 We are wired to “avoid pain”…we will do anything to avoid it we will do anything to avoid the pain of taking action or pleasure of associate …this is the POWER OF DREAM BUILDING…more on that later   So…we need to learn to how our behavior is DRIVEN so we can change it -does that make sense? Assignment: Identify What your Motivators or Demotivators or actual Drivers are… Identify Behavior patterns that are not in alignment with what you want… …write them down specifically this week...   KEY #3 Major Factor Influencing these two Emotions: Understand that your Beliefs…Experience…PAST creates your ultimate view, belief and reaction to these two things (pain and pleasure)   Example …relationship sabotage….still driven by pain and pleasure …success ceiling at work or business… …past failures in personal, business, relationships...   George, What is a Solution to this problem of Pain and Pleasure… Robbins says you need to learn to Recognize and Influence the Pain or Pleasure you connect to your Goals or Things you want in Life…   Key #4 CREATE LEVERAGE with Pain or Pleasure …YOU DO THIS BY CREATING A POWERFUL “STATE” …more on this Friday, but I want to unpack a few more things …we must “understand why” to really make change (awareness) …then we can create the change and take control   NOTE: as a Marketer or Business Owner, you will increase your results when you learn to associate or influence the Pain or Pleasure People associate with your Product…   Example… Companies like Coke, Pepsi associate with Music Artists   Asset Protection Company…Lawsuit, Taxes, Protection Real Estate, Stock Investing, etc.   ROBERT STUBERG….principle…we need to learn to Make our Goals a MUST How do we do this? I can see now, looking back, that this has been both a blessing and a curse at times.  It has lead me to accomplish some amazing things, and it has robbed me of the joy in the present on more than one occasion.  Personal Development has also helped me to identify and magnify my strengths, and it has helped me to identify and sometimes dwell on my weaknesses too much.

My Mentor, Friend and now Partner Robert Stuberg has always taught me that our Thoughts Create Our Life.  You’ve heard me say this many times.  I’ve also learned that our thoughts are determined by the Questions we ask ourselves in that little voice in our heads.  You know that one I’m referring too.  The one that you constantly talk to…or maybe argue with our go back and forth with.  

But here is something else I’ve learned…

The key to influencing your thoughts and questions you ask yourself, is to identify the Presupposition that exists behind all questions and thoughts we have.  Let me give you an example.

I often ask myself “How can I do this Better?”.  In other words, every time I accomplish something in my life (personal, professional, or business), I am actually presupposing that what I’ve done might not be good enough.  As a result, I am rarely happy with the work I’ve done…even if it is light years ahead of the average.  And, even if it is more than good enough to accomplish what I am setting out to do.  

Maybe you do the same thing in areas of your life.  Many your thought are driving by questions that you ask yourself that have Horrible or Unproductive Presuppositions. Do they have benchmarks that are unattainable.  You have to start changing your perspective, your filter, your presupposition.  For example…

What are the questions you are asking yourself...

Am I good enough?…you are good enough

What are they thinking of me?…who cares what others think

Why is my life so complicated?…maybe so you can get stronger

Why does this always happen to me?…maybe that’s a good thing

Why can’t I catch a break?…because you would be weak

The problem with this is that we set ourselves up for failure from the beginning.  We create impossible benchmarks for ourselves, and even though we are probably progressing in our journey we simply don’t recognize and appreciate it enough.

The Solution (spoiler alert) is that:

We have the ability to Create and Control the Presupposition that ultimately determines the question and the thoughts.

By simply making a conscious decision to rearrange the source of our questions (the presupposition), we can influence the entire process and create a different outcome.  This in turn will create much more happiness, fulfillment and success in our lives.

Now I know this is easier said than done which is why this leads me to what I want to talk to you about this week.  Maybe I’ll be talking to myself, but most likely we all fit into this discussion to a certain degree.

This week I want to unpack this conversation of What Drives Your Behavior and Activity.  I want to offer a few suggestions on how you can break it down and reprogram how you frame your questions and thoughts in hopes it will multiply your results.

So, Here are the things that I want you to dig into, and we will discuss each of these areas in more detail on the Daily Mastermind Podcast throughout this week.  Episodes 196-200.  Can you believe we will be at 200 Episodes?  Anyway, here are the key areas:

Are you focusing on Pleasure or Pain?

Most of us are either chasing pleasure or running from pain.

Identify which one is influencing your decisions and actions daily.

Find a way to move toward Abundant thoughts for better results.

Are you operating from a place of Abundance or Scarcity?

When we struggle we are usually operating out of Scarcity.

The best solutions start with Abundance and Positive Thinking.

Scarcity usually builds up over time and takes effort to break down.

What is "Your Story” you are telling Yourself and Operating From?

We all have a story we tell ourselves…it drive the source of our questions, thoughts and results.

What are the Presuppositions and Stories we tell ourselves?

Am I good enough?

What are they thinking of me?

Why isn’t this good enough?

Why is my life so complicated? or why is this happening to me?

Why can’t I catch a break?

That person has it easier?  or they get all the breaks?

What are Your Limiting Beliefs and How can You Get Past Them?

Tony Robbins and many others are well known for this topic.

Take the time unpack and learn what limiting beliefs you have.

Really dig into the limited beliefs and why you have them.

Then, find a way to rewrite that story and limited belief in a way that serves you best.  There is always a way to rewrite the story.

Remember, that you are the author, main character, sometime the villain,  but most certainly you are Always the Hero of your Story.

Find a way to Become the Hero of Your Story.  Make the decision that you are only in chapter 5 or 6 or 7 of a 20 chapter book.  Maybe you are moments from the “turn of events”.  Maybe you are right in the middle of the drama.  Maybe you are in the middle or end of a second or third turn of events or dramatic chapter.

But you absolutely know that the Story is far from over.  The happy ending can always come.  The Hero will always show up.  The Events will most certainly turn in your favor.  How do I know this?  Because you are the Author.  You write the Ending.  So write it.  Put some serious thought into how you want the Next Chapter to go.  You don’t have to write the Ending.   That’s the secret.  You literally don’t have to have the entire book figured out.  You just need to know the next chapter…and know that that Chapter is going to be a turn of events in your favor. (unless you want a little more drama first haha) Sometimes that makes for a bigger come back.  

You are not Suffering from a Set Back.  You are Setting Up Your Come Back…Guaranteed.

I truly believe that if we want to change our lives, we really need to dig into the problem and work backwards to the source of our creation.  Your thoughts are determined by the questions we ask ourselves.  Our thoughts have a presupposition wired into our minds and actions.  We can Create and Control the foundation, values and presuppositions we choose to set on ourselves.

Ok, so this week we’ve been talking about how you are spending your time during the Pandemic and “slow down” in your life.  We discussed 5 ways to unleash your potential in your Personal Life, Your Business Life, Your Motivation Levels and Your Finances.  Today, I want to go through 5 Ideas I brainstormed for you to Unleash Your Potential in Your Lifestyle.  Obviously, I would love for you to come up with some of your own ideas, but these are here to “jump start” your thought process and possibly inspire ideas of your own…got it?

Ok, so what do I mean when I say Lifestyle?

Lifestyle & Happiness

Well, the truth is I have always pursued and loved the idea of creating lifestyle while you are traveling on your journey to success. 

I used to think that lifestyle was a destination at the end of a long road of hustling and working hard.  I worked and worked to create a life that I thought I wanted.  

Maybe you’ve heard this phrase before…."Live today like others wont so you can live tomorrow like others cant.”  If I’ve learned one lesson it is that THIS IS A HORRIBLE IDEA. Why would you wanna grind, hustle, set aside your life so that you can “ someday”, “ maybe live” a life you “ dream about”?

I have learned over time that a truly successful person thinks I can have BOTH.  Sure, you need to hustle, grids and “ outwork” your competition.  But you can absolutely find ways to create Lifestyle, Happiness, Fulfillment and Joy along the road to success.  The key is to make the decision to create lifestyle NOW...each and every day.  

You need to 1)have a strong vision for your future, 2)work like crazy to achieve it, BUT 3)be grateful and enjoy the present.  I have said over and over….

"Don’t let your vision of the Future Rob you of the Joy in the Present"

Here are just a few ways I think  you can create some lifestyle (or a better life) while on your epic Journey toward Success in your Personal and Business Life…Remember this key…

Life is a Journey.  The key is to Enjoy the Ride, Create Great Memories, Grow Yourself Along the Way, and Accomplish Big Things.  Is this easy…NO…but thats why you are listening and thats why we are talking about this.  You can start today to make these changes.

Now those of you that know me probably think that I am going to give you some really cool travel, luxury, cars, watches, custom suits and tech type lifestyle ideas, but it might surprise you to know that I think (and I know) that the best lifestyle is the one that creates peace of mind, amazing memories and once in a lifetime opportunities to grow and challenge yourself….and yes, a few perks and travel as well.

So Here we go...

Daily Gratitude Ritual

The number 1 way to create a life and lifestyle is to LOVE YOUR LIFE…Thats right…LOVE YOUR LIFE…and this takes a daily focus on gratitude.  Try to make it a ritual.  Make it a daily practice.

And guess what…this is also the quickest way to eliminate fear, depression and anxiety. (explain)

Simplify Your Life

There are a couple ways that you can feel like you are enjoying an amazing life.  Keeping up with the joneses will constantly keep you wanting and needing more.  Whereas recognizing what you currently have will help you to create an appreciation for what you have accomplished.

Let me explain.  Entrepreneur A moves into an amazing neighborhood and can barely afford the house at the low end of a neighborhood (just because he or she wants to “live the life of the wealthy”).  But because everyone they surround themselves with has more, they are constantly feeling “not good enough”.  Thats why people like Gary V tell you to stop buying dumb stuff to fit in.  

Entrepreneur B buys a really nice house in a neighborhood where they are at the top end of the spectrum.  Well they feel like they are “achieving” and creating an amazing life because they surround themselves trying to aspire to be like them.  Does that make sense.  Its all perspective and its all “how you set yourself up for lifestyle and success mentally”.

Now before I get people blasting me with questions on this, let me clarify a little.  I am not saying downgrade and I am not saying surround yourself with people less fortunate than you to “feel better”.  I am simply saying that your perspective determines your lifestyle.  I know people with very little “toys” that live an amazing, happy, flexible and free life.  

Trying to impress others and push yourself into a scenario you cannot afford is NOT the way to create lifestyle.  Being smart and following your own gameplan (not others) is the way to create a Great Life.

Simplify your life, the things you have, the pressure you put on yourself, and you will reap the “lifestyle benefits” for sure….

Guided Meditation

I firmly believe that if you mind creates your life and it determines your filter on life, then the #1 way you can create an amazing Lifestyle is to control the MOVIE you are playing in your head.  Its impossible to do this when you are trying to cu through the chatter of people, environment, social media, pressures, etc.  The only way to do this is to learn to slow down your thoughts and focus your thoughts on your vision and gratitude for what you have.

Stop letting your mind lead you around and “push you around”.  Take the ball and learn to let the expectations and things go.  Just LET GO.  I have only been able to do this through Mindfulness and Meditation.  (explain each)

I’m not an expert on mediation and certainly struggle to slow down my thoughts, but you MUST look into this further.  Its probably a lifetime process and I will get some amazing people to teach you more on this podcast in the future.  For now, go to the Daily Mastermind Mobile App and at least start with some meditations there.  They are free.

Get Rid of the Clutter

Another way to create lifestyle is to get rid of stuff you dont use, need or value.  You would surprised how much more free you feel.  And, bonus is you probably could use that to buy stuff or pay for experiences you DO VALUE. Let me give you an example.  I have owned so many different cars and motorcycles in my life, I look back and shake my head.  Everytime I have purchased a Harley Davidson so I can ride with buddies, it ends up sitting in the garage without getting much use.  I later sell it and use the money to pay for a trip to Hawaii (several times over) lol. 

Obviously (referring back to our earlier podcast on finances) this was an expense not an investment. I no longer make those types of dumb decisions.  Now maybe you are different and you would drive the harley and create amazing experiences driving up the canyon, but you do YOU.  Get rid of the dumb stuff you don’t use and find ways to use it on lifestyle memories you would value.

Simplify your life….reduce the clutter, get rid of dumb stuff.  You don’t everything you’ve convinced yourself you need to be happy.  Just think about it.  That’s all I’m suggesting.Create a Memory

This brings me to the final suggestions that I have to create a Lifestyle.  Let’s have a little fun with this.  I believe that best lifestyle is one that creates memories that you will have for the rest of your life.  It doesn’t require money to create a memory, although money does make for some amazing memories.  Money has been able to help me plan trips all over the world. Money has allowed me to travel to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, and all over to all different types fo destinations.  Money has allowed me to own and drive all types of cars, toys, etc.  Its even allowed me to enjoy custom suits, expense watches, etc.  I (personally) I really like that kinda stuff…not gonna lie.

BUT, and this is important.  Many of those things I dont even remember.  I do remember, however, a trip I did to Orlando Universal Studios I did with my 8 kids.  I do remember cramming into a mini van every time we went to eat, etc.  (yeah I did say mini van lol).  

I do remember the time we had a Marvel Movie marathon at home.  I do remember sitting at Jarons baseball games, or BBQing in the back yard.  Some of the best memories (and lifestyle) you will create don’t require a single dollar to spend.  You just need to make the decision as to what is important for you and start to create experiences.  Make it a goal to create 1 new memory every single week.  Get creative…

Now I know that you might be thinking…freak George, I cant even go out of the house right now with this virus.  Or you may be thinking this will be the most boring summer ever if I cant hit the movie theater, but I’m telling you right now…that is a decision you are making.  There are a ton of things you can do right now, inside your house, that will create amazing memories.

This week we are talking about how you will spend your next few weeks and how it will contribute to your results the year and much more…   Monday we talked about 5 ways in your personal development. Tuesday we talked about 5 ways to unleash your business. today I want to talk to you about 5 killer ideas for increasing your level of motivation and inspiration in your life.   Motivation & Inspiration One of the biggest questions I normally get asked is “how to get more motivation”.  These days Motivation seems to come in limited supply because we are dealing with a lot more than normal in our lives.  But the truth is that motivation is always limited.  This is why it is so important to develop and instill habits in your life.  Habits will take over when motivation fails or runs out.   There are a few ways that I have found to increase my motivation level, but I can tell you it takes work and focused effort for sure.  Here are a few ideas and activities that can really help you increase your motivation and stay more consistent with it.
  1. Create a Vision Board
    1. list out everything you want, desire, intend to create…stretch yourself
    2. find visual representations of each item…all areas of your life
    3. create a poster board, screen saver, mobile images…everywhere you live and work
    4. look at it all the time.  don't let it become routine.
    5. visualize whenever possible.
  2. Get a Accountability Partner
    1. accountability creates responsibility
    2. find a partner that shares your goals
    3. find a partner with expertise or mentoring background
    4. create a structure to report and hold yourself to milestones
    5. set benchmarks outside your comfort zone
  3. Structure a Tight Schedule
    1. schedule will force activity
    2. make sure you balance productivity and activity
    3. bigs rocks first.  then smaller rocks.
    4. concentration. preparation. recovery (CPR)
  4. Find Your “Go To” Tools and Resources
    1. create a book of power
    2. create a motivation playlist
    3. create a inspiration playlist
    4. find pictures of past that motivate you to change
    5. identify the speakers, podcasts or YouTube for YOU
  5. Surround Yourself with Positive People (PP#4)
    1. energy is contagious
    2. people with positive filter on life
    3. people with ambition and drive
    4. people with success background for belief transference
    5. have your core mastermind group you can go to when needed

    1. start to communicate with your audience to create community
    2. start to communicate with your relationships (partners, employees)
    3. be authentic, real, and relevant 
  5. Network Your List
    1. when was the last time you made a list of friends, family, associates
    2. your wealth is in your relationships
    3. value your list as an asset…reach out often

25 Ways to Unleash Your Potential   The Pandemic associated with Covid-19 has created a lot of mixed emotions for entrepreneurs around the world.  People are feeling isolated due to business shut downs and temporary layoffs.  Social distancing has eliminated your ability to network, go out to eat, or even see a good movie.  Life seems to be going at a really slow pace when you truly look around.   But, your interpretations of the current environment, and your perspective on how you will use this time could ultimately determine the trajectory of your next couple years.  Regardless of how long it takes for us to get a handle on this unexpected and difficult change in our lives, you can be certain that things will eventually go back to normal.  I recommend you spend a few minutes and decide what position you’d like to be in when that happens.   Will you need to ramp back up your business, motivation, and energy.  Or will you already be primed and ready to capitalize on all the opportunities that will be available to you.  Are you using this time to relax, catch up on sleep, spend more time reading a good book.  Or...are you using this time to set yourself up to make up for lost time.  This year can still be an amazing year for you regardless of the temporary shut down and slow downs.   Your current situation is not a SET BACK.  It's a SET UP for a COME BACK!   The key is to prepare yourself personally, emotionally, financially and much much more.  I recommend you use this time to truly start to Unleash Your Potential. Wayne Dyer write a blog a couple years ago called Manifesting 101:   masterming the art of getting what you want…   I thought it was Amazing content and I'd like to share it with you today.  Here are the 13 Habits to get you there... Habit 1: Believe You Are an Infinite Spiritual Being Having a Temporary Human Experience You are not your mind.  You are the consciousness utilizing your mind…. Better put… Quote Wayne Dyer — 'We are not human beings in search of a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings emersed in a human experience.’ Remind yourself that you have greatness inside you and you are more than the sum of your experiences THUS far in your life.   Habit 2: Become the Observer of Your Thoughts Your thoughts create yoru life… You become what you think about… Become an expert at monitoring yoru thoughts... Habit 3: Release Your Imagination from Current Limiting Circumstances What you believe got you were you are now… It will take stretching yoru beliefs to get you further… outside comfort zone... Habit 7: Reconstruct Your I Ams Your inner dialogue determines belief, action, etc. Start with I AM not I WILL… Start from a place of Determination and Commitment I know your subconscious might not believe it….BUT, you dont need to believe to motivate yoruself to action to create it. Habit 8: Be Patient & Banish Doubt Replace Doubt with FAITH With faith comes patience.  Its not IF its only a matter of WHEN Stop focusing on the timeline and start focusing on strengthening yoru trust, faith and belief in the process. The watch what begins to happen…attraction of resources and people. Habit 9: Align Yourself with the Feeling of the Wish Fulfilled Robbins….Create Emotions consistent with feelings that you have accomplished what you want… Then imagination kicks in.  This is the fuel to go next level... Albert Einstein made this astute observation: “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”  Habit 10: Take Stock of How Natural Your Dream Feels to You The time it takes your desire to become reality is directly proportional to the naturalness of being it. The more natural an experience your wish feels for you, the faster you will create it in your life. Conversely, the more unnatural a state of being feels to you, the longer it will take to achieve. The key word to contemplate is “feels.” If being healthy, prosperous, happy, successful, strong, intelligent, and so on, currently feel unnatural to you, naturalness may yet be achieved by persistently using your imagination and your subjective attention to make this feeling stick. If it is your burning desire to become a professional basketball player, ask yourself how natural it feels to you to be on the court, competing at the professional level. If this feels unnatural to you, you may eventually, with persistence, achieve this wish fulfilled, but only until you have become so aligned with that experience that it feels completely natural to dunk a basketball and sink a free-throw. This is why my partner Robert and I always talk about leading with yoru unique talent... Habit 11: Phrase Your Intentions as Given Statements When you place an intention in your imagination, do not allow a question mark at the end of your pronouncement. See your statement ending in a grammatical exclamation point. “I bring this into my reality!” is easy to say if you’re already living from that declaration in your imagination and have assumed the feeling in your body of that wish being fulfilled. T Harv Eker feels strongly about Declarations rather than Affirmations…I like this for the simple fact that you are “declaring” yoru intentions to yoruself, others and the universe. Habit 12: Choose Your Reality with Love When you attempt to manifest from a place of selfishness or potential harm to anyone else, you invoke the ego. The ego is always about winning, overpowering, being better than others, accumulating for the sake of feeling superior, achieving adulation or recognition, improving your status, and so on. So the secret is to feel yourself as already being and having what your desire, and to keep the entirety of it all wrapped up in a spirit of love. Always weigh your choices on the scales of love. Selfishness, Self centeredness, and Lack of Genuine Gratitude will keep you from getting what you really want in life. Habit 13: Know that What You Already Have is Enough Dahli Lama….The Secret of Happiness (and success) is learning to WANT WHAT YOU HAVE, not to HAVE what you WANT. Practice Gratitude and Appreciate for Everything…even the little things. I have learned in life that you will not get more of what you dont appreciate in the first place...   Bottom Line…Manifesting is more about Becoming than Receiving. YOUR LIFE IS ABOUT TO CHANGE "What the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve”     -Napoleon Hill   This week we will be concluding our 12 week series on the Prosperity Pillars for Success.  This is one of the most exciting Pillars, and yet it one of the least understood or practiced.  Here it is:   Prosperity Pillar #12 I Visualize and Manifest My Life.   I know that there are a million different strategies, techniques, theories and ideas when it comes to visualization, manifestation and the law of attraction, but my goal is to simply inspire you this week to spend more time consciously creating your life.  I believe that is what visualization and manifestation is all about.     This week I’d like to talk with you about several techniques and strategies you can utilize to Visualize and Manifest your best life.  I will draw on thoughts, experiences and tools that I have used and learned from experts like Wayne Dyer, T Harv Eker and many others (along with my own experiences) to help inspire you to create new levels of Awareness and Belief in the practice of Visualization and Manifestation.   Lets start with Visualization…   VISUALIZATION Visualization is simply a practice that helps your mind to crystallize and believe what you want to manifest in your life.  What your mind believes, it will achieve.  Visualization alone will not create the life you want to create.  It simply helps you to increase your faith, belief and awareness of what you want, so you can attract it into your life.  However, Visualization along with doing the work to Manifest or Create your life is a powerful combination.   Visualization is a skill like any other skill.  You need to work at it and build up your ability to clear your mind and picture what you want.  It requires commitment, consistency and persistence. Visualization Techniques Here are a few steps and ideas to help you build your Visualization skills in order to create Your Best life.  I’ll spend some time as we go throughout the week talking more about each of these items.  I recommend you set aside some specific time this week to work on your Vision if you want to Manifest it into your life.
  • Find a Quiet place to Crystalize your vision in vivid detail.
  • Create intense emotions around your vision.
  • Create "I am" statements that your vision is a reality.
  • "Act as if" your Vision is a Present Day reality.
  • Create a vision board for better clarity and focus.
  • Constant “dream build” and expose your senses to your goals.
Now remember, ONLY actions, consistency and persistence will help to bring your Vision to Reality.   This brings us into the overall topic of Manifestation, and there is no one better than Wayne Dyer when it comes to explaining this topic (in my humble opinion).   One of the reasons I love Wayne Dyer is he talks about specific actions you can create but also touches on the mindset, values and beliefs you must work on to Attract Your Best Life. Over the past 11 weeks we have covered the 12 Prosperity Pillars that I personally believe capture most of the most important principles for achieving Health, Wealth and Happiness.  They are all principles I have learned from mentors, thought experts and truly successful people I have met along my journey.  But they are all put into practice with this last Prosperity Pillar.  I believe that learning to have Vision and Manifesting what you want is the ultimate step in “actively” creating your life.   I have tried to always tried to keep Dream Building and Vision as a cornerstone in my life.  It's what gives us hope for the future.  It’s what gives us something to continually work towards.  But most importantly, it's the promise that we can "Live the Life We Were Meant to Live.”   I challenge you to put this Principle into your life.  I challenge you to spend some time this week getting crystal clear on what you want.  Then, I promise you that your days will seem more driven, more passionate, and more focused.  I am planning to do exactly that and my hope is that you will as well. I want to recommend a book to you…   Of course I read a ton of Business, Marketing and Entrepreneurial books.  But when I really want to do some deep work on myself, I will almost always pull out a book called The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer.  This book truly helps to bring me a simple perspective on how to Identify, Influence, and Manage my Inner World.  You know…that Voice you hear inside your head.    Its the voice that constantly talks and won’t be quiet.  It’s the voice that wont turn off to let you go to sleep. It’s the voice that many times plays your opponent, the pessimist and the doubter when you are faced with challenges and obstacles in your life.     Well, I am here to remind you that you are NOT the voice inside your head.  The reason I love this book is that it creates a very simple way to understand, recognize and deal with your Inner Voice.  It helps to doing many things that include:
  • Creating Conscious Awareness
  • Understanding Your Energy Levels
  • Letting Go of Past Experiences Holding you Back
  • Strategies and Perspective to Move Forward in Life
  I’d like to point out a few of my favorite statements I’ve highlighted in this book to give you some tangible nuggets and encourage you to read it….especially if you have extra time on your hands right now.   Here are just a few of the powerful statements I have learned and enjoyed from the book:

  These are just a couple key thoughts that are important for you to understand when it comes to the battle for your mind (which occurs every single day).  We all, everyone of us, experience this.   Here is a specific strategy that I have implemented…try it.   When you are dealing with something difficult, stressful or overwhelming, I recommend you try to just simply identify the emotions and label them.  By turning your mind to the logical side of being the observer of your thoughts, you become empowered over your thoughts and shift into a different part of your brain.  It is in this state that you can maintain a much greater influence over your thoughts and therefore shape them.   But remember, you cant fight your emotions and experiences.  The best thing to do is always to recognize them, embrace them and then let them pass.   Anyway, I wanted to give you these thought and this recommendation to take you into the weekend. I’ve had several discussions with family, friends and partners this week, and a common message seems to be surfacing.  People are working from home.  Kids are not in school.  Restaurants are closing their dining rooms.  Theaters, Malls, Stores and Businesses are shutting down temporarily.  As a result, people are bored, slowing down and “waiting” for things to change.    Sure there is less traffic, and maybe you need to go through the drive through when you go out to eat, but thats not what I want to talk with you about.   Most people are feeling trapped, isolated, and even unproductive.  Yes, I think it is amazing what communities are doing to create social separation, virus awareness, and even increase hygiene in attempts to flatten the curve of the Covid-19 virus.    BUT, how you identify and perceive this current economic slow down is very very important in my opinion. After all…your perception of circumstances in your life is everything…Its your reality.  I’m not talking about whether you stay positive and optimistic or not.  I’m talking about whether you are buying into this momentum shift and the slow down in how you are living your life over the coming weeks.   Are you looking at this as an opportunity to take a vacation or sleep in a bit longer, or are you taking this as an opportunity in your favor?…a time to shine...   You see when you are trying to create your best life, you need to recognize opportunities to get ahead when they are presented.  Rather than slowing down and taking a break, you should be capitalizing on this opportunity to double down on your talents, infrastructure and gameplan.   Let’s not forget that we are playing at this game of life regardless of what is going on around us.  The battle going on inside your head doesn’t stop.  Time doesn’t stop.  The anxiety, stress, or even depression that many of you feel doesn’t go away.  Your health, relationships and finances don’t have a pause button.  Hopefully there are many ways that government, local businesses, and those around you will pull together and help communities and individuals out.  But, it’s up to you to make sure you are healthy, strong and moving forward with your life.   Don’t be the person that is waiting on “circumstances” to change.  Don’t be the person that feels powerless to change your own economy.     Bottom Line...Don’t wait around for things to change…Be the Change.   I’m suggesting you use this time wisely.  Create opportunities in your life in the midst of the challenges.  Find areas of your life you can improve and expand upon.  Sure, it might be tough and resources might not be readily available, but you CAN set yourself up for massive success and momentum if you focus on the right things while EVERYONE ELSE is taking a break.   Let me give you some examples of things you can really Double Down on during the next few weeks…   Get clear on what you really want in life. (it can always get clearer)   Double Down on your Daily Rituals. (add some new ones, get better, use the silence)   Catch up on Work and Business Projects. (work on the important not urgent you rarely get time for)   Get ahead of the Competition with new Strategies.  (when they sleep you build)   Create, Innovate, and Build new Business Models. (pivot)   Remember what I said a few weeks ago when we were talking about Abundance Thinking verses Scarcity Thinking.  You have to start from a place of solution. Rather than thinking there are less resources, opportunities, money, and people to work with, you need to identify and start thinking about the super long list of opportunities this gives you to improve your life.   Spend more time with your kids and key relationships.   Develop your mindset and filter on life.   Use this time to get in shape and eat healthier.   It's my hope that you will take a good hard look at the time, money, resources and goals that you Have instead of the ones that you Don’t have.  Then, start moving forward today toward your goals with even more commitment, passion and resolve.  If you do this, I promise it will put you ahead of the curve and much closer to the life you Want you were meant to live.   Enjoy your day and I’ll talk with you more tomorrow.   George Wright III

Today I woke up to an Earthquake…   Can you believe it?  With everything going on in the world, Utah had a 5.7 level earthquake today.  Pretty interesting, exciting, crazy and unexpected to say the least.  So far there are no reports of injuries, but it certainly left me feeling a sense of relief and motivation at the same time.   You may be wondering why I say motivation.  Well, the truth is that we only get one life.  This is not a dress rehersal.  So the key question is, “are you living your best life?”  If not, then you need to ask yourself a few questions:   Why Not?   Do you know what your best life looks like?   Have you spent time contemplating what you want out of life?   Are you playing at a level 10 each and every day?   What does a high level of achievement and productivity look like to you?   Today is Wednesday. We are part way through the week.  Take this moment to evaluate if you are moving in the right direction at the right pace.  Obviously we need to do this often but Today is as good a time as ever.   Today is the Day…   the day you start moving forward in the right direction… the day you continue to develop the best version of yourself… the day you decide to let go of the past baggage you’ve been dragging around… today is the day you reset your goals…. today is the day you recommit to the life you want to be living… today is the day you accept that you are the architect of your life…   today is the day that you commit core Values like the 12 Prosperity Pillars that are timeless advice shared from thought leaders all around the world.   I Create my Life. How to Practice the Law of Vibration

I want to talk to you today a little more about the Law of Vibration, which is the first of two laws connected with the Law of Attraction.  Now remember, I am no expert here, but I’ve learned a few things from some pretty big thought leaders, so I’m going to share with you what I’ve learned and seen happen in my own life.

 

The Law of Vibration (simply put) states that everything in the universe is made up of energy and that energy is constantly moving and vibrating and being attracted to similar energy levels.  So, if you want to attract a certain kind of energy you need to create a life that resonates at the at the same frequency.  Remember….this is science based and also common sense to a degree.

 

We know that when your day goes bad it usually gets worse (if you let it).  We know that “birds of a feather, flock together”.  We know that positive people will be around positive people.  Get the idea?

 

This law is like the law of gravity.  It is governed by universal principles.  It exists whether you believe it or not and whether you can see it or not.  Because you are part of the Mastermind Community, I know you are already bought into the idea that We Create Our Lives.  Our lives are a direct reflection of our minds, our programming, and our VIBRATION/FREQUENCY.  In order to create the life you’d like, you must condition your mind to have thoughts in alignment with your objective.  

 

BUT…you must also raise the frequency and vibration in your life to resonate with your Ultimate Life as well.  You cannot hang around negative people and expect to create positivity and abundance in your life.  You cannot say one thing and then do something else and expect things to go your way.  

 

So how do you Raise your Vibration?

 

There are a couple ways I’ve found to raise my own vibration that I want to share with you. Then, I’ll take you through a few steps and exercises so grab a pen and paper.

 

First, you can consciously program your mind and your life to move to a higher frequency or vibration.  You do this through your daily rituals and practices.  Meditation, Affirmations, Reading, and Visualization are all examples of this.  Most of you have experienced a time you were looking to buy a specific item like a car and so you did some research on the item. Then, before you knew it, you were seeing that car or item everywhere.

 

This is because when you program your thoughts, your RAS (reticular activating system) in your brain kicks in.  You’ve basically programmed your brain to sort through your 100,000 thoughts per day and find and attract to you what you are looking for.

 

Second, you can definitely raise your vibration in your life by learning to create the right emotions.  Now most of us feel that emotions are some type of involuntary burden we have.  Events in our lives create positive or negative emotions.  And this might be true for most people, but not you.

 

We talk all the time about being proactive and not reactive.  Rather than acting to experiences in your life to create emotions, you need to learn to be proactive in creating “the right” emotions to bring you into (what Tony Robbins says is) an Ideal State.  A state that places you in the right vibration that is in alignment with your goals and the emotions you want in your life.

 

Example…close your eyes and think back to one of the happiest memories in your life. Maybe it was a family event like a marriage, birth of a child or being with your parents.  Maybe it was a time you received an amazing recognition for an achievement.  Sit in that moment and recall the vivid details of that moment and you will begin to feel the emotions of that moment.  That is because our brain embeds and registers memories in this way.  The bottom line is that we can create the emotions we want at any time in our lives.  We do not need to wait for something or some event to happen in our lives.

 

Like my partner Robert Stuberg always says, we are ultimately looking to create emotions in our lives and I’ve just shared with you a very simple way to do just that.  Best of all, when you create the right emotions in your life, you will ATTRACT the same type of emotions.  

 

And most importantly…

 

When you create and add emotions to the thoughts you have for your Ultimate Life, you truly resonate and attract the things you want because you are deeply connected to those thoughts and ideas.

 

I’m not going to spend a lot of time on this, but let me suggest a few amazing thought leaders on this topic you can research and then give you some steps and exercises you can do.  Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, and Joe Vitale are all individuals that I have learned from on this topic and would be great sources for you to learn from as well.  Noah St John is also a guest I’ve had on the podcast so you can go back and reference that episode for great content.

 

So, now let me list for you a few key steps I feel will help you with implementing the Law of Vibration into your life.

How to Change Fear & Doubt into Positivity16 Mar 202000:11:57
Well its been a pretty eventful last week or two…   Many people around the world are caught up in Worry, Fear, Doubt, and Uncertainty.  But as I start my week, I am grateful and excited to talk with you about Prosperity Pillar #11.  This Pillar can truly help you to maintain a focus of Positivity, Optimism and Hope during these Uncertain and Confusing times.  So let's dig in a bit.   I Attract Success Prosperity Pillar #11    As I’ve gone through my life, I have learned many lessons on how to stop chasing success and learn to leverage the many resources available to us to Attract Success into my life.  I’d like to share a few of those things I’ve learned in order to help you do the same.   Jim Rohn has my favorite quote of all time…   Success is not to be pursued.  It is to be attracted by the person you become.   Learn to Stop Chasing and Start Attracting Success   When I started my career in business (at a very early age), I felt the best way to create an amazing life was to work super hard and make a lot of money.  This definitely got me quickly to levels of success I had only imaged I could achieve.  But, like many of you, I realize that there was something missing and I wanted more.  I wanted to have a life that made me happier and created more fulfillment.  So, I started to live my life in a way that made me happy.  I traveled and acquired many different things that you would typically associate with success and happiness.    Again, I simply wasn’t satisfied with the happiness and fulfillment I was feeling.  At one point, I wondered if maybe I just wasn’t hard wired for happiness.  But when I heard the Jim Rohn Quote and started having some very specific conversations with one of my Mentors, I realized that my approach to life, success and happiness was the problem…not me.   You see, I realized that I was chasing success too hard and I needed to learn to attract success, happiness and fulfillment into my life.  This was not something that would be easy for me to understand or accept due to my driven nature, but over time I have seen (time and time again) that this principle is a key to Happiness in my life.   So, now I have adopted the Mantra, “Take Action and Allow Space for Attraction”.   This has allowed me to really benefit from both hard work and leverage of resources in my life.   The Universal Law of Attraction   The Law of Attraction is a principle you’ve probably heard of before.  Many books and talks have been given on the subject.  The law of attraction says that our lives are impacted by Universal Laws just as universal and proven as the Law of Gravity.  Its estimated that the law of attraction has influenced over a billion lives since it has been reintroduced as a major concept in the marketplace.  However, most people don’t really understand what it is and how it works.     I encourage you to check out training from Bob Proctor, who really simplifies and breaks down the concept of the Law of Attraction.  He says that LOA is governed by 2 laws (not just just one).  The first law is the Law of Vibration.  The second law is the Law of Attraction.  Most people miss the first law which says….   The law of vibration is one of the basic laws of the universe. It decrees that everything moves, nothing rests, and we literally live in an ocean of motion. This is because everything is made of energy. Your body is made of cells, and cells are with molecules and atoms. What created atoms and molecules are the energies vibrating at different frequencies. When you think, you activate your brain cells, and you set up a vibration in your body. When you move your eyes to read this sentence, you activate your brain cells to do it. This also means that the vibration you are in will dictate what you attract into your life. If you are constantly worried and troubled, you will attract a lot of bad energy. And what you fear will come to you. This is why people often said, “You will become what you think about most of the time.” I’ll talk more about this later this week, but for now I’ve seen the Power and Effects of this in my life and if you really think about it…You have too…   Everything in Your Life is Made of Energy   I wanted to mention one other things I came across on this subject.  Albert Einstein, one of the world greatest (proven) thinkers of all time was quoted as saying…   Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it.  Match the frequency of the reality you want, and you cannot help but get that reality.  It can no other way.  This is not philosophy, this is physics.   I thought this was very interesting to hear from a Science based Thought Leader.  But, the more I study quantum physics and success, the more I realize that most solid beliefs and Laws of Success are based in BOTH Science and Philosophy.  So, I highly recommend that if you want more Success in your life that you start to understand the principles, laws and forces that are working to shape your life.  You cannot just randomly go into the world everyday hoping to create something if you don't understand what could be working against you or FOR YOU.   Attracting Success Requires a Strong Mindset   There are few Mental Principles and Strategies I’ve learned to adopt in order to really apply this concept of Attracting Success.  I’ll spend more time on these throughout the week, but here are just a few of the Principles I have adopted:  
  • Success Requires Uncertainty (life happens for you not to you)
  • Surround Yourself with Positive People (energy will affect results)
  • Learn to Change Your Paradigm (reframe negative situations)
  • Focus on the Questions, Not the Answers (open your mind to possibilities)
  • Start from Solution and Abundance (lack creates lack, solution creates solution)
  These are just a few of the principles that come to mind right now, but I hope they inspire you to think about areas that you might improve as you move toward Abundance, Success and Ultimately Become the Best Version of Yourself.  Remember, that progressing in your Personal Development is one of the Proven ways to Increase Your Happiness and Fulfillment Level.     We must always be Growing if we want to be Happy.   Have an Amazing Week and I’ll see ya tomorrow with more thoughts and lessons from my Mentors and Life Experience.   George Wright III

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to host a Private Training with a friend and partner named Scott Estill, who is a sought-after Speaker, Author and Lawyer specializing in Tax Reduction strategies. Finding Joy in the Little Things… I woke up this morning around 6am, which is pretty late for me.     Yes, I’ll admit that I was saving up my energy for my 3 year old grandson who was being dropped off for the day.     Most of you know that I hit the gym around 6am so you’d think it would be far easier to just hang out at home and watch some cartoons and eat gogurts.  Well…you’d be wrong.  The amount of energy it takes to keep up with a 3 year old has reminded me just how flexible and laid back my daily routine really is…and that is saying a lot.   However, I am always excited to take some time off to enjoy the simplicity and wonder of someone so young and disconnected from the problems of the world today.     It wasn’t always this way for me though.  I can remember raising my kids (who are now grown up and gone) and always feel the pressures of business, finances and life weighing me down.  This made it very hard to concentrate and enjoy the time I spent with them.  In hind sight, I definitely lost out on a lot of quality time and enjoyment.  Now dont get me wrong.  We have lots of memories of trips, events, and life, but as time has gone on I have learned to enjoy life much more along the way.   So I wanted to just remind you to do the same…enjoy your life.  Don’t be so caught up in achieving your goal that you don't take time out to live a quality life.  If you work hard and create discipline in your life, you will certainly accomplish your goals and still be able to enjoy the process along the way.   Here are few thoughts, ideas and suggestions I want you to remember:  
  • Don’t let your vision of your future, rob you of the joy in the present.
  • Learn to love the journey so that you can have BOTH.
  • Make it a priority to create Memories in Your Life.
  • Take a Mental Inventory often of the Things you are Grateful For.
  • Slow Down and Be Present in Your Life.
  • Appreciate and Nurture Your Relationships.
  • Stop Worrying about Things You Don’t Control.
  • Love What you do or Make a Change.
  • Smile...
  Try to remind yourself every day and every week that you only get one life.  This is not a dress rehearsal.  You get one life, so make sure you are LIVING IT.   I have a little plaque in my office that has the serenity prayer on it, and I’d encourage you to follow its advice.  It is timeless wisdom to follow.   GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE THE COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS I CAN, AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.   Every single one of us has greatness all around us.  There are people, opportunities, memories, experiences and everyday things in life that you may be overlooking or taking for granted.  I encourage you to slow down and learn to love and appreciate what you have.  Happiness truly comes from learning to want what you have rather than have what you want.  AS Ed Mylett says, Blissful Dissatisfaction is a good thing.    And as my grandson continues to remind me…even a Disney movie watched for the 23 time can be fun and exciting.  haha.  Have a great day.  Talk soon.   George Wright III

I came across a recent article by Leo Babauta on the Zen Habits website and I felt is was very applicable to our focus this week on Daily Rituals.  So, I wanted to share parts of it with you today.  I hope you enjoy the Value Bombs in this... ... From Leo Babauta… Before I started Zen Habits, I was in a place in my life where I had a beautiful family, but I was stuck and dissatisfied with myself. I knew I wanted to change things — my health, finances, job, way that I was approaching life — but I didn’t really know what I wanted to do about any of it. Most of the time, I just ignored all of this, and distracted myself. I didn’t have any clarity on what I wanted or what I needed to do. This lack of clarity is felt in all of us very deeply, so that it shows up in how we talk, how we hold ourselves, how other people feel us. It affects our relationships, our jobs, our health. Then I got very clear that I needed to change. And clear that I wanted to quit smoking, start running, become vegetarian, start waking earlier, and start writing more. I went on to do all those and more. Clarity helps us to focus, to take action, to feel energized. A lack of clarity causes stress, inaction, a scattered focus, relationship difficulties, confusion on teams. Some examples of areas to find clarity in:
  • Your mission in life
  • Your morning routine
  • Your financial plan
  • What you need to do to improve your relationship
  • How you’ll get healthier
  • What others expect of you; what you expect of them
  • How a meeting will be run
  • What your boundaries are in each relationship
As you can see, this is a pretty broad topic — it can apply to every part of our lives. And we don’t have to be perfect, and we don’t have to get clarity on everything this week. It’s something to bring awareness to, that we can improve over time. But the more we find clarity, the more we’ll have focus, calm, motivation. How to Get Clarity OK, great … we want to get clarity in our lives … how do we do that? I’ll share some things I’ve learned for finding clarity:
  1. Create some space. When we’re unclear on something (how we should reach a goal, for example) … most often we put it off instead of getting any clarity. Instead, try creating some space to get clarity. Carve out an hour. Half a day. A weekend. (Depending on how big the thing is that you need clarity on.) Then do the things below. But carve out the space.
  2. Journal, iterate. Write about what you need clarity on — it doesn’t have to be any solid answers, or any kind of coherent writing. Just let your thoughts pour out. Stream of consciousness. Just give yourself space to reflect.
  3. Meditate & contemplate. Similarly, you can go out in nature and spend some time in solitude. Go for a walk. Sit on a rock. Meditate. See what comes up for you. Hold one question in your mind: “What do I want here?” Or something like that. See if anything emerges as you hold the question.
  4. Talk to others. Share your thoughts with others. Share what you’re not sure about. What you’re afraid of. Hear their thoughts. Just the act of talking it out is valuable — you’re giving space for your thoughts and feelings, and having them heard. Often you can get clarity from a good conversation.
  5. When you have a little clarity, write it down. If you have some kind of answer, any kind of clarity at all, write it down as simply as you can. Two sentences. Putting it down simply helps it become more clear. And then you can start to take action on it.
  6. Take action to get clarity. Many people think they need to have clarity before they take action, but it often happens the other way around. Have the slightest bit of direction? Go in that direction, take the first steps, see what it’s like. You’ll learn more from doing than going back and forth on things. For example, as I started working on my mission, I got clearer and clearer that this is what was meaningful for me, but I also got clearer on how I’d go about doing it. Maybe in a couple years, I’ll have even more clarity, but I’m not going to wait for that in order to take action. Start moving, and learn from that.
  7. Reflect after you take action & get clearer. As you set things in motion, it’s useful to step back every month or two to see how things are going. What have you learned? What’s getting in the way? Use what you’ve learned to get even more clarity. Write it down simply. Take action again.
And repeat.  What areas of your life need clarity? How is the lack of clarity affecting you and those around you? Are you ready to create the space to get the clarity? ... These are great questions to ask yourself.  I truly believe that clarity is a key to creating a Plan and a Path that will lead you to success.  I have struggled with clarity at times in my life. But every time I refocus and reclarify my goals and objectives, I have seen drastic increases in my productivity, happiness and results I was looking for.  Its my hope that this article and this discussion today will help you to become aware and help you clarify your vision for your life. How to Start Meditating for Peace of Mind11 Mar 202000:12:00
Let's face it...one of our biggest obstacles to our success is our own minds. Do you ever feel like you are constantly having conversations with yourself (inside your head)?  I definitely do, and sometimes these thoughts and conversations  are pretty stressful.  But I’ve learned that the minute you realize that you are not your mind, then you become empowered to make some changes in your life.  You have to remember that you are NOT your mind. Your mind is simply a tool.  But, that tool (left unmanaged) can work against you as much as help you.   Research shows that most of us have up to 60,000 per day, and I can tell you from experience that most of those thoughts are unproductive and unmanaged.  That is the primary reason that I started to meditate.     Meditation is the #1 way I have learned to manage my thoughts and become more productive with my life.  Now full disclosure, I am definitely NOT an expert on meditation, but I would love to share some thoughts, tips and ideas with you that might help you to benefit from meditation like I have.   So, Why Should You and I Start Meditating? Meditation has been proven over time to create amazing to those that choose to practice it regularly.  It is not just an ambiguous or hyped up thing?   Here are just a few of the benefits you might receive from meditating:
  • Less Stress & Anxiety
  • Better Quality of Sleep
  • Better Health & Vitality
  • Increased Productivity
  • Focused on Present Moment
  • Increased Quality of Life
  Bottom line...there are so many benefits that high highly recommend you start some form of meditation.   What the Difference between Meditation and Mindfulness? When I first started meditating, I did a ton of research.  I started to realize that there were many different styles, techniques and trainings for meditation.  However, one of the main distinctions I found was there was a difference between Mindfulness and Meditation, and they both serve a purpose.   Mindfulness is the practice of learning to focus on the present moment.  You can do this by focusing on your breath or a stationary object or simple noticing your 5 senses.  Mindfulness is also something that you can practice throughout your day, and will definitely help you to enjoy life more.   Meditation is the process of “letting go”.  It involves learning to take your mind and body into a different state of consciousness where your and mind and body can get super creative and productive in healing, relaxing or producing results in many areas of your life.  It can be described as a 4th state of consciousness that is not waking, sleeping or dreaming.     Just knowing the difference in these two things helped me to get started, and I hope you will take the time to research a bit on your own as well.   Here are some Tips, Strategies and Techniques that might Help You…
  • Start with Just a Couple Minutes- It might sound simple but staying consistent is important so just start with a few minutes and increase it over time.
  • Do it First Thing in the Morning- If you start your day with meditation you will set yourself up for success and will always get your meditation in each day.
  • Don’t Worry about How you Feel- You don’t have to be in the mood to meditate.  Like working out, you are meditating for the benefits and not because you need it in the moment.
  • Find a Quiet Place- When you start I think its important to find a quiet place and minimize distractions to set yourself up for success.
  • Start by Breathing or Counting Breath- You can start meditating by simply closing your eyes and focusing on or counting your breaths.  
  • Do a Body Scan- Another relaxing technique is to simply close your eyes and notice, relax and focus on one specific body part at a time.  Start at your toes and slowly work your way up your body till you get to the top of your head. 
  • Notice the Senses- Your mind cannot normally focus on too many things at once, so when I have been stressed I will sometimes close my eyes and notice all 5 senses to distract my mind.  Try this one for sure.
  • Don’t Worry about Technique- Please don’t worry too much about what Style, Technique or Practice you start.  This will keep you from Starting a Practice.
  • Notice Distractions and Simply Refocus- When you become distracting with random thoughts (and you will), simply notice the thoughts and bring your attention back to focus…no worries.
  • Follow Guided Meditation if Needed- Sometimes it helps to use a guided meditation or one with music and sounds of nature.  We have many of these for free inside the Daily Mastermind Mobile app you can use.
  • Take a Course- There are also a ton of free ebooks, courses, and mobile apps you can use for meditation.  Take the time to find resources that work for you.
  • Make Upfront Commitment- Most importantly, I encourage you to make decision and a commitment UPFRONT to start and stay with a meditation practice.
  Those are just a few ideas and lessons I’ve learned over the years, so I hope they help you.  Now let me give you a few of my favorite resources and people I feel you can look into for more information and help with meditation.   Resources for Meditation Success   The Daily Mastermind Mobile App- the mobile app has many different FREE meditations that you can use on the go.  There are tabs for guided, unguided, affirmations, sounds of nature and 10 min or 30 minute sessions.   Calm or Headspace Mobile Apps- these two mobile apps are the most popular and they both have free or lite versions.  They also have short 7 days introductory courses on how to meditate you can use to get started.   Wayne Dyer- I love Wayne’s approach to meditation and he has tons of audios, books and stuff online I encourage you to research and use.   ZenHabits.net- this website blog is a very simple, practical source that I read from time to time on subjects of Meditation, Lifestyle and Simplifying my life.   Zivameditation.com- Emily Fletcher is an expert on Meditation and really simplifies that concept of Mindfulness, Meditation, and Manifestation.  I have benefited from your courses a bunch.   Transcendental Meditation- This is probably the most popular form of meditation and many experts, celebrities and people I know have benefited from this type of meditation.  It is a type of meditation that offers courses locally around the country and involves the use of a mantra that you repeat while meditating to stay focused on clearing your mind.  Check it out.   Anyway, that is my basic thoughts, ideas and tips for you with meditation.  Overall, I feel like you can really talk your Daily Rituals and Your Life to a whole new level if you start a DAILY practice of meditation, and its my hope that you will Try this or expand your current knowledge of meditation to increase your Quality of Life.   Until tomorrow, thanks for reading and have an amazing day.   George Wright III

Daily Rituals for Success Last week I gave you some of my recommendations for daily rituals like books, podcasts, and mobile app.  But this week I’d like to dig a bit deeper into daily rituals and give you some ideas and thoughts that might help you to create a winning formula for success on a daily basis.  I hope you will take these tips and ideas and make them your own.  Find a way to spend time planning out your daily rituals, because you can really level up with the right plan for your day.   Setup Yourself Up for Success The most important thing you need to realize with daily rituals is that you must set yourself up for success, or your rituals will become a source of frustration and disappointment.  We have all had big aspirations when we set a new goal or new years resolution.  We have also experienced the disappointment when we dont follow through due to circumstances outside our control of due to a lack of motivation or will power.  So, its critically important that you set yourself up “in advance of each day” to make it easy to follow through on your rituals.   Alexander Graham Bell Said, “Before anything else, Preparation is the key to success.” You can set yourself up for success by preparing the night before, scheduling your rituals into your day, and even making sure the time of day is the most likely time to eliminate distractions.  Also, keep in mind that starting your day with rituals is preferred in order to get you moving on the right path, but you should schedule time for your rituals when you are at your “best” in order to be most effective.  Many times you will have routines and ritual that you do throughout the day.   I personally begin my day with morning rituals and end my day with a different set of evening rituals.  This helps me to start my day out right and also end my day by winding down.  The I do this, it allows me to create more energy in the morning and relax for better sleep in the evening.   Choose the Right Rituals The next thing you will want to do is choose the rituals that are best for you.  Each of us struggle with different things in our lives, and I always try to create daily rituals that will help me to overcome challenges I have, as well as build up my strengths and motivation in key areas of my life.  You can create daily rituals in all areas of your life, including but not limited to your Mind, Body, Spirit, Relationships, Finances, Business, Investing, or Lifestyle.  Create rituals in areas of your life you feel you might need the most help in or will help benefit you the most.  Ultimately I feel your Daily Rituals should Motivate, Inspire or Educate you so that you can Create a Better Life.   Here are just a few example of Daily Rituals you could choose that I have personally benefited from over the years….
  • Prayer
  • Meditation
  • Affirmations
  • Workouts
  • Reading eBooks 
  • Listening to Audiobooks
  • Listening to Podcasts
  • Nutrition & Supplements
  • Family Time
  • Gratitude Practice
  • Journaling
  • Studying or Education
  • Date Night
  • Music
  • Sleep
One more important thing I want to mention.  Try to create a short list of rituals that align with your goals and objectives in your life.  If you need to acquire a new skill maybe add that to your day.  Or, if you are like me and don't enjoy getting up in the morning, then an early morning workout is exactly what you need to get your body moving each day.   Quality and Consistency over Quantity Remember the goal is to create rituals that help you in your life to stay on track and create healthy habits.  Its more important to have just a few key rituals that you do consistently, than to have big list of rituals that you never seem to get done.  I used to make a list to accomplish a ton of items each day.  I wanted to make sure I crossed off the boxes in every single area of my life.  But, I found that having a short list of 3-5 rituals in the morning and 3-5 rituals in the evening is the best for me. I have stayed far more consistent with a couple of core things to focus on and stay consistent with.     I like what Tim Ferris say when he said that he has 3-5 rituals on his list, but considers it a “win” if he just a few of them done.  Don’t overwhelm yourself with a long list of items.     Remember, Consist Effort is the Key to Success in Life… So many people start out trying to do anything and everything they can do to make change in their lives.  But, they dont stay consistent.  They don't stay consistent because they burn out and they don't find a way to make their goals and desires a part of their everyday life.  You need to create ritual that are part of your lifestyle and then you will be far more consistent for the long term.   Make it a Routine If you make your rituals part of your daily routine, you will create strong habits that will last a lifetime.  Plus, you will also have a structure to guide you through your day.  Let me give you some examples of what I mean…   I always workout first in the morning in order to get the blood flowing and get my mind awake.  I’ve tried to study or meditate first in the morning, but I just think better (therefore more productive) when I meditate after a workout.  Also, I always find that I can get far more accomplished (in less time) if I get my blood flowing first and then move on to other items on my list.   Another example is that I like to journal and read at night, because it helps me to wind down my mind for better sleep.  Now this doesnt always work cause my mind almost never shuts off.  But, when I journal at night, I can recognize my accomplishment or reflect on what I am grateful for and it helps me to acknowledge that I am moving forward and I can relax more.  So, find ways to place your rituals in your “daily routine” so that you accomplish more and it also helps guide you through your day better.   Create Accountability I want to talk with you about creating more accountability in your daily rituals for a few different reasons.  First, having some accountability will help you maintain your consistent until it becomes a habit.  Second, having accountability will help to motivate you when you are not “feeling it”.  Finally, having accountability is a way for you to openly commit to yoru rituals rather than keep them to yourself.  You see, many of us don’t want people to know that we are committed to our goals and dreams of creating success, losing weight, learning a new skill, because we are afraid of what people will say if we fail.    Guess what?  Who cares what other people think.  Having daily rituals if for YOUR benefit, so find a way to hold yourself accountable so that you WILL follow through and you WILL have more success in your life.  Rituals are not a contest and there is no such thing as Success or Failure with your rituals.  Its only about creating habits for success while Living Your Best Life…Period   Track Your Rituals With that said, I do feel it can be important to track your daily rituals.  You’ve heard it before and I’ll continue to say it…   What you focus on Grows.  And what you Track you will Focus On.   So, grab yourself a planner or a notebook, and start to record your rituals.  You can even use your Mobile Device by just keeping track in your NOTES app.  There are also plenty of mobile apps you can use like the Strides App for setting goals and lists each day.  Most of the mobile apps I use for rituals also send me reminders and track my progress or “streaks” for how many days in a row I’ve been consistent.  Apps like I mentioned last week are great for that.  (Calm meditation, Day One journal, Daily Mastermind, Audible, etc.)   Make Adjustments Also, do your best to create a routine but not get to a point where you are on autopilot.  Take time once per week to identify if you are making progress toward your goals or if maybe you are hitting a plateau with your workouts and learning.  Always make sure to create adjustments in your rituals, your routine, and your daily activities if you are not making the progress you desire.  It's great to create, track and maintain daily rituals, but you want to make sure that they are helping you to accomplish your goals and desires.   Create a Win I have one last thing that I want to talk to you about with this topic of daily rituals, and that is this…   Have patience with yourself.  It's not a contest.  Don’t let your rituals become a source of frustration or disappointment.  I used to really get down on myself when I didn't make it to the gym or forgot to write in my journal.  Rituals are there to help you to become the best version of yourself, not to help you become more critical of yourself.  This is HUGE.   Ultimately, if you are able to do even a couple of your rituals each day I encourage you to Mark it a Win in the Win Column of Your life.  Your Goal each day is to Create a Win for yourself.  The more wins you create the better you will feel, The more confidence and self esteem you will have, and The more you will Develop into the BEST VERSION of YOU.   George Wright III
How to Overcome Stress and Anxiety with Structure06 Mar 202000:10:48

If you are a passion-driven Entrepreneur like me, you probably deal with stress, anxiety or even depression at times. These are really difficult periods in your life and can ultimately affect you and the people around you. So, one of the best way I’ve found to deal with this is by creating structure and routine in your life. 

Sometimes we need that structure to "Power Us" through the times that our discipline fades...and everyone has times their motivation and discipline fades…trust me when i say Everyone. :)

I learned a long time ago that Your Routine will keep you moving forward towards your goals and help you to navigate these rough times. 

This is why I CREATE DAILY RITUALS.

(Hopefully u noticed the all caps of that statement which is prosperity pillar #10).

I want to encourage you to maintain a schedule and routine long enough that it will become automatic and more of a habit for you, so you won’t need to rely as much on motivation. Creating positive HABITS is an important benefit of long term application of your Daily Rituals. 

But here is one additional Secret I have also found that has helped me the most.....

You Must Create Structure, Tools, and Resources that make it easier to stay consistent with your daily rituals, otherwise your routine goes out the window when your motivation does. 

I’ve been asked many times about my daily routine and rituals, and I will cover that in more detail next week. But, I’d like to just share with you just a few recommendations of Books, Mobile Apps, and Podcasts I currently use as a foundation (for me) on a daily basis. Then, next week I will dig in deeper to my routine and ideas I have for you to Power Through your difficult days. 

Here are just a few of the key resources I use on a Daily basis:

Books

Successful people are constantly reading.  I like to listen to audio books when I work out or want to unwind for the day.  But, I highly recommend you actually take time to sit in a quiet place and read physical books as well.  It helps you to stay grounded in the present moment and you retain much more information when you do read a book.  Here are just a few of my recent favorites:

 

  • Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill- this book will always have hidden secrets and treasures and you can never read it too often.
  • The Happiness Equation by Neil Pasricha- this book really has opened my eyes to ways you can really increase your happiness levels.
  • High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard- this book has a very simple and effective way to increase your productivity and focus.

Mobile Apps

Let's face it, we are on our mobile devices all the time.  So, you might as well make sure this tool is a force for positive influence in your life right? Her are a couple of key apps I use right on my home screen, and they have both Free and Versions:

  • Calm Meditation App- this app has amazing for reminding me to take a minute and relax, focus, and breath when I am grinding the the long days of building a business.  I have really started to use the Sleep Meditations and Stories when I (like I’m sure you have) nights I cannot get my brain to shut down and allow me to sleep.  Works every time.
  • Day One Journal App- writing in my journal has been a key daily ritual for me.  I can track my moods, memories and accomplishments. After all, “A life worth living is a life worth recording”, says my partner Robert Stuberg.  This app will even send me reminders to enter a quick thought throughout my day.
  • Audible Audiobook App- I love audible because I find it helpful to also listen to fiction and or current event books while I workout or exercise.  I used to always just read business, investing, and success books.  But, I’ve found over time that my mind is much healthier when I shift it to the creative, right-side on occasions, and it allows me to be much more relevant and personable when having conversations with friends, family and partners.

Podcast

If you open up the Podcast app on my mobile phone you will see quite a diversity of podcasts because I listen to various experts depending on my mood or learning needs at the time.  I highly recommend occasionally searching new podcasts so you dont get too routine or isolated in the type of people you listen too.  But, here are a few of the core podcasts I consistently listen too:

  • The Gary Vee Audio Experience with Gary Vaynerchuk- this give me motivation, business nuggets and a kick in the butt when I need it.  Plus, I really enjoy the variety of this podcast with speaking events, meetings, interviews or community questions Gary uses.
  • The Mike Dillard Podcast with Mike Dillard- Mike will consistently deliver solid business and personal content that I use in my business and he is always interviewing Proven, Successful People on practical things you can use in business.
  • The Ed Mylett Show with Ed Mylett- this podcast also give em constant motivation and inspiration while delivering a massive amount of content and value.  Plus, Ed interviews a wide variety of speakers, athletes, and experts in business, health, and happiness.  I relate to a lot of the experiences and business that are discussed on this show.
  • Joel Osteen Podcast- a week doesn't go by that I don't tune into the inspirational and  important messages that Joel and Victoria offer their listening audience.  I met Joel one time at an Exclusive Resort I was staying at, and I cannot tell you how genuine, happy, and selfless this guy is in real life.  He truly made me feel like he cared and didn't even know me at the time. 
  • The Brain Warrior’s Way with Dr Daniel & Tana Amen- this is a very short and sweet podcast that literally explains the science about why your Brain is the most important tool that affect your health, wealth and happiness.  I needed to really learn that my BRAIN is not my MIND but it definitely is a tool for me to use in achieving success.  Dr Amen constantly gives strategies, tips, nutrition, and many many other golden nuggets for success in winning the “Battle of Your Mind”.

And Finally…(shameless plus)…I highly recommend the Free Daily Mastermind Mobile app on iTunes and Google Play.

I literally created this app for myself and the people i care about.  It is totally free and has more resources on it than anything in the entire industry of Personal Development and Financial Education.

How to Become Obsessed with the Path not just The Goal05 Mar 202000:08:25
Quote of the Day… Failure is Success if We learn from it…Malcom Forbes   Most of my life I have heard the phrase, “Success is a journey not a destination”.   This has always been difficult for a passionate and driven entrepreneur like myself to understand.   Sure, I have adopted and heard all the statements and thoughts that are continuously kicked around.  Thoughts like:  
  • learn to enjoy the ride
  • find joy in the process not just the end goal
  • focus on the little things because one day they will become the big things in life
  But, I have also found that the the end GOAL is what motivates me the most.  The reward, recognition and personal satisfaction of achieving more has been the best driver of actions and results in my life.   So, its been difficult to reconcile how to continue to Dreambuild and Create a Vision of the future, while finding a way to create Passion for the Present Moment and the “Process” in the meantime.   Maybe you struggle with this as well.  After all, I have even promoted the statement...   Don’t let Your Vision of the Future Rob you of the Joys of the Present Moment.   But just the other day I heard a Thought on another Podcast that really rang home for me on this topic, and I wanted to share it with you today.   The thought was this….BECOME OBSESSED WITH THE PATH.   It was just a slight variation of the idea that we should enjoy the process but it got me thinking about a way to truly become Obsessed, Passionate, and Focused on the PATH as much as the End Goal.   Rather than just becoming grateful for the process or finding ways to motivate myself to enjoy the road to new levels of success…   I think a real key for you and I is to actually “build a process” that we can become Obsessed with.  This requires us to be intentional with our focus and focused with our intent.     Looking back I believe there have been many times I have unconsciously created a Path that I could become obsessed with in my life and business, and that has almost always lead me to massive levels fo success.     What I am focused on doing now, and I recommend you do as well, is to “Consciously” build a path that you can become passionate about while achieving your end goals.     There are always many ways to create a result.  What I am suggesting is that you personally craft a Path that you CAN BECOME PASSIONATE AND OBSESSED WITH to get to your goal.   So, How do you do this.  Well, my experience has show me that it requires several key ingredients and then structure and discipline along with it. After all, Creating your best life is going to require a Game plan.   Here are a few suggestions that I have for you:   1-Make sure your path is aligned with your Unique Talent.  This is focusing your activities around what you are "Excellent at" and "Passionate about.”   Too many of us are working a job or running a business we simply dont enjoy or we are not excellent at…just to make a check.   2-Make sure your end goal or vision is in alignment with your actual talents.     It doesn't make sense to create success or opportunity in an area that you ultimately don't want to end up doing long term.  If you do, despite the money and opportunity, your subconcious mind and your heart will constantly be working against you.     I had this happen in several businesses that I made an incredible income with but ultimately was not happy running or being a part of.  Not because they weren’t legitimately helping other people, but because i was not ultimately passionate about the business itself.   Also, I think it is important to also mention a few critical factors you need to add to your Path in order to truly become Obsessed and Successful along the way.  
  • create extreme structure and discipline in your daily schedule
  • create firm accountability and feedback from mentors
  • create detailed tracking and reporting of key performance indicators
  • create periodic evaluations of your results
  • create a community, mastermind, or inner circle that aligns with your vision
  • create incentives and rewards for yourself along the way to success
  When you include these disciplines in your path and daily processes, it helps you to relax and focus more on the present moment because you have a plan and you are tracking all the key areas of your business.   Most of us are constantly trying to stay on top of too much in our life and business.  Put processes, indicators and structure in place you that you can remove the pressure of your entire life and focus more on the tasks at hand or the people you are with in the moment.   It is my wish for you that you can begin to start creating and living the life you were meant to live by helping you to consciously create a PATH that you can become Obsessed and Passionate about.   I hope my thoughts will help you to do that.  They are definitely helping me.   Check out the Daily Mastermind FREE Mobile app on itunes and android.  Download it today.

I had the privilege of meeting Joel Osteen a couple of times, and I truly believe he is a great example of Happiness and focus on creating a great life.  His message in his books and podcasts are consistently about overcoming obstacles and challenges in your life.  However, they are always laced with the understanding and commitment to happiness, gratitude and creating an amazing life of fulfillment and purpose.

Are you Making the Progress You'd Like to be Making?18 Feb 202000:15:18
Yesterday we talked about The Happiness Equation (book) -we talked about 7 ways to be happy right now   But I want to get super practical with you right now…. This is episode where you want to take notes…   See, often times we get in a place where we sorta feel STUCK…WHERE DO WE START -we might be working on all the right things, but we really just need a “hard reset"   So today I want to give you a very tangible strategy for SELF ASSESSMENT and PRACTICAL RESULTS   There have been many times in my life when I have been overwhelmed or even STUCK   Its in these times that my mentor, and now partner, Robert Stuberg would sit me down and refer me back to something he calls the PEARL constellation. -I’ve mentioned this on an episode about a year ago, but I feel its time to revisit it for you.   First let me give you a little context….   Robert talks about how for many years he was trying to develop a formula for “navigating through life”…following the path for success… -this is something we need when we are maybe not making the “process we’d like to make” -we need something to “guide us”, like Milestones or a Compass so to speak   Well Robert came up with 5 words that I believe really encompass the essence of the life we are hoping to experience and he has proven through mentoring thousands of people to be a huge benefit when we are needing direction or focus in life….leading us to ultimate happiness….   The words form an acronym called PEARL.  P…E…A…R…L… P…Philosophy E…Emotions A…Activity R…Results L…Lifestyle   If you are not getting the Results, Happiness, or Progress you want in life I know that going through these 5 times, like Robert did with me, will help you to RECALIBRATE your life and get back on track.     I am going to go through these 5 areas and I recommend you do a self assessment of the areas by rating yourself, now and in the future on a scale from 1-10 in each area.  This will help you to determine where you need to adjust your course, priorities and focus.   What I’m going to do is read from something that Robert Put together called the LIFEHANDBOOK…I’ll give you more on this later but for now, I want to go through these areas in “his words not my own” so you will get the REAL and AUTHENTIC Message behind each area...   Ask Yourself the following Questions… 1-What do I believe about myself or about life that isn’t true? (Philosophy) reference life handbook  2-What am I feeling that I don’t want to feel? (Emotions) reference life handbook  3-What am I doing that I don’t want to do? (Activity) reference life handbook  4-What am I getting or not getting in my life compared to what I want to get? (Results) reference life handbook  5-How am I living my life on a daily basis compared to how I want to live? (Lifestyle) reference life handbook    These are the 5 areas that I believe you can continuously work on, track and progress in to create happiness in your life.  Once again they are the The PEARL Constellation, by Robert Stuberg…   I encourage you to take a moment and go back through this podcast to really dig deep into these 5 areas. I promise that if you do, you will find areas to adjust and refocus in your life and you will ultimately get back on track,  unstuck and create a better version of yourself…   Life I always say…It’s never to late to start living the life you were meant to live and create the best version of yourself on a day to do basis.   That’s my message for today and I look forward to talking with you more tomorrow….
7 Ways to Create Happiness Right Now17 Feb 202000:17:01
I'd like to do something different today....   We are going to talk specifically about Prosperity Pillar #7 and I'm going to highlight a recent book I've read.  I will also give you 7 specific strategies that you can use to generate happiness immediately in your week.   But, along with this episode, I am including my personal notes that I created for this episode so you can see into how I put the episode together for you.  I hope you enjoy... :)   Choose Happiness….Prosperity Pillar #7   let me ask you a question…. Are you addicted to the future?  have you ever thought about that before Yes, your vision of the future is Driving You…. Yes, your future life motivates you… But, does your vision of the future rob you of the happiness of the present? Is your future life continually pushing your happiness in life further and further out of reach?   I have experienced this myself, so i know how it feels.   I had a pretty interesting experience today driving home from my morning workout. I finished what i have to say is a pretty long and hard workout…i was trying to push myself further today. maybe it was to use the time to gain clarity or maybe it was just routine, but it was a good workout. afterward i got in my car and headed home.  i turned on my normal affirmation audio as i usually do and…. i hit the button on the center console of my car so that was programmed to have my seat massager turn on and start a “fast vigorous massage”….i had set that setting in the computer of the car to give me a little relaxation on the way home   then something hit me out of the blue… maybe it is because i knew this week would be about Choosing happiness or maybe i was just in the zone…. but i realized that i was driving down the road literally getting a massage in my leather seats and hadn’t even realized how crazy and cool that really was….i had been taking it for granted because i am usually too consumed with wh ti need to do to go tot eh “next level” or get to that future vision of what i wanted…..   Now side note…i am not telling you this to impress you….on the contrary i am telling you this to impress upon you that  AND LISTEN CLOSELY HERE….if you dont train yourself to enjoy what you have in the present you will be conditioned not to appreciate it when you get it in the future….i know from experience….   now of course i practice gratitude, but how you do anything is how you do everything.   how many times during the day are you appreciating the “little things in life”….. the ability to actually wake up and be alive the gift of health or relationships or freedom of religion or occupation how bout appreciation of the ability to choose what job or corner or business you’d like to start how about the fact hat we live in an age of the internet that that you can learn, grow, accomplish or be “anything” do you enjoy and appreciate the people in your life, the relationships that support you…   or are you too consumed with the future life you’d like to have? the better life…the life you are trying to create…the future vision that isn’t even real….   this reminds me of a quote from the dahlia lama…he said we ned to learn how to want what we have NOT to have what we want in order to get steady and stable Happiness.   I’ve heard this quote before but his time it made me recognize the idea or thought that we need to LEARN how to want what we have….   so i believe that this week id like to focus our thoughts on yes PP#7 I choose happiness, but more importantly i wan to focus on the action of learning to be happy…because i believe that CHOOSING HAPPINESS IS SIMPLY LEARNING TO BE HAPPY AND GRATEFUL WITH YOUR ACTIONS “DAILY” NOT WORDS OR A ONE TIME DECISION…   I mean i have always felt it is a little weird that people would say “I choose happiness” without backing it up with a process, system or explanation of how to do that…so this week lets talk specifically about how to ACTIVELY CHOOSE HAPPINESS THROUGH YORU ACTIONS AND DAILY ACTIVITIES…   so, before i let you go i want to give you something practical to try and think about…. I recently started reading back through a book I’ve read before called The Happiness Equation…i highly recommend it. the subtitle is the actual equation….Want Nothing + Do Anything = Have Everything…. we will discuss this a bit more over this week… but today i wanted to share with you one of the items i pulled from this book.   ya see i have met and been around a lot of very successful people in my life and many of them are the definition of societies success, but they are not happy….i’ve been there…and still am at times in my life.   the reason for this is that we (at times or often) are seeking happiness from EXTERNAL THINGS WHEN ONLY INTERNAL THINGS WILL BRING US HAPPINESS…sure the money, lifestyle, cars, clothes, shoes lol will bring us some shortchanged tterm gratification but not TRUE DEEP HAPPINESS….ONLY POSITIVE EMOTIONS WILL BRING THIS TO US…   as my partner robert stuberg says….WE ARE ALL SEEKING EMOTIONS THAT THE EXTERNAL THINGS BRING US… so the KEY IS TO FIND WAYS TO CREATE THOSE EMOTIONS DAILY…AND WE ALL HAVE THE POWER TO DO THIS   SO…BACK TO THE BOOK…SORRY I GET OFF ON TANGENTS SOMETIMES.  LOL   I’m going to read from page 15 of the book The Happiness Equation…then i’m going to give you 7 ways to be happy RIGHT NOW….so hang with me a little bit longer…   READ CHAPTER 4, PAGE 15…..   So, now let me give you 7 specific ways (from the book) that you can immediately impact your ATTITUDE NAD CREATE THE EMOTIONAL STATE THAT GENERATES HAPPINESS.  some of these you may know but it important that you remember them, practice them and put them into your DAILY ROUTINE….YOUR DAILY RITUALS….   3 WALKS -the american psychosomatic society published a study showing how Michael baby and a team of doctors found tha t3 30 min brisk walks or jogs even improve recovery from clinical depression…yeah depression…   THE 20-MINUTE REPLAY -writing for twenty minutes about a positive experience dramatically improves happiness…why?…because you relive the experience….think about a positive experience…journal about it…relive it and Presto you create the emotions…   RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS -carrying out 5 random acts of kindness per week dramatically improves happiness…it takes the focus off of you and places it on others and makes you feel better internally….probably they single most important thing you can do…   A COMPLETE UNPLUG -teh only way to “fully engage in the present” is to disconnect from the insanity going on around you… -unplug your phone after dinner or before bed…take time off social media or the internet when you are doing something important…   HIT FLOW -flow is the state you are in when you are engaging your Unique ability and challenging yourself.   -we’ve all experienced it but you need to align your day so that you can block time for it more often.   2-MINUTE MEDITATIONS -meditation is a state where you can actually require your brain to raise your happiness levels. -so much on this topic another time, but science has PROVEN THE BENEFITS PRE AND POST MEDITATION..   FIVE GRATITUDES -learning to appreciate what you have brings happiness greater than having what you want. -the key is to practice this…train yourself…journal, notepad, mobile app, etc…i use gratitude app…   Those are the 7 activities you can do weekly….   I ENCOURAGE YOU…NO I CHALLENGE YOU TO DO THESE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS…. -they will ground you -they will train you to focus on Happiness first -they will bring you positive benefits….without a doubt   TRY IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS   THATS MY THOUGHT FOR TODAY.  I HOEP IT HAS INSPIRED YOU TO DO MORE TO PRIORITIZE THE PRESENT MOMENT AND HAPPINESS IN YORU LIFE….   This week i will continue to bring you thoughts, strategies and tips to help you CHOOSE HAPPINESS IN YOUR LIFE..

This week I'd like to focus your attention on Prosperity Pillar #5 which is...I Create an Attitude of Abundance What is an attitude of abundance? -Ability to Truly believe and have faith that there is enough…that your potential is infinite   The challenge is that our Mindset or Blueprints are formed by life Experience which has created Limiting beliefs, so -must change your money blueprint (T Harv Eker)   Your ability to change your blueprint will require Faith, Persistence and Dedication   So, lets Start by understanding one important things...Abundance is a Choice... -because its based on faith outside yourself, it requires a decision to “choose abundance" -I know sometimes its difficult when faced with challenges...   -this just means you must work on it until it is automatic…HABIT   Suggestion...Create Daily Rituals that create Abundance -affirmations, service to others, gratitude…more of these in a minute   First, lets break down the differences between Abundance and Scarcity mindset….   I believe recognizing and outlining the difference will be important to identifying the best approach  
  • With a scarcity mindset, you believe that everything is limited. -your time, money, opportunity, wealth….its all limited.  This make you worry and make fear-based decisions.  You operate and problem solve from a place of “lacking” and limited perspective.  Your afraid of missing out.  Your afraid of not having enough.  You try to save your way into a profit…etc.
  • With an abundance mindset, you believe there's plenty for everyone. There's plenty of wealth, happiness, fulfillment, resources, etc to go around.  You operate from a place of unlimited potential ad always from a place of solutions and the big picture.  You also are willing to celebrate success of others cause you know there is plenty of success to go around.  you drive the profit and upside…not just protect your downside.
I’ve run several businesses and I’ve operated with both mindsets.  I remember a time that I was worried about expenses more than i was worried about driving revenue.  Somehow those times always seemed more of a struggle.  I do not believe its because things were harder.  I still had struggles when focused on abundance, but it was just harder due to my limited faith, belief and focus on the big picture.     I really Love the principle taught by T Harv Eker…we live in a world of duality…. -good vs bad, good vs evil, abundance v scarcity -inner world vs outer world….so it starts with your mindset -we live in a world of Causes and Results -success, prosperity, money, is a RESULT of your mindset -so lets talk about your mindset…because focus on mindset (the cause) will RESULT in Abundance (as a result)...   Abundance v Scarcity faith v fear solutions v problems opportunity v obstacles learning v failure think big v think small proactive v reactive teachable v know it all celebrate success v jealous positive people v negative people   *Do these things and you will create a Abundant Mindset   Also I want to give you a couple Qualities of Abundant thinkers that I believe you should focus on creating in your own life and personality...   Qualities of Abundant Thinkers -Gratitude-learn to want what you have NOT have what you want…. -Appreciation- a great form of practicing gratitude and you must appreciate to attract -Generosity- give what you want to receive (but not because of) -Embrace Change- change is your ability to have faith that “things will work out for your benefit"   Final Reminders…..

Today is a New Day...I know you’ve heard that before, and I also know many of you are struggling with various things in your life   MAYBE YOU FEEL... -anxiety about some upcoming event -maybe your struggling to pay your bills -maybe your dealing with some tough emotional feelings in a relationship or partnership.  -maybe you feel trapped in a business or career that you are good at but not satisfied with...you simply want more in your life.  -or sometimes things may be going great but you simply just have a really hard day, or week or month for that matter. Haha   Well I want you to know that you’re not alone. We all go through seasons and cycles in our lives. And sometimes we simply don’t want it even need to hear that it’s for our good or we will grow through it.    Sometimes it’s simple a time we are looking for a little support and inspiration...   So let me share some thoughts with you today (at the end of the week) that go along with PP #5-I Focus on Solutions and offer you some encouragement and maybe a little reassurance...   A MENTOR OF MINE Robert Stuberg ONCE TOLD ME... -when things are going tough, Don't Forget to believe in yourself -the only thing worse than accepting other people’s limiting beliefs about you is accepting your own.. -or allowing the difficult moments to keep you down.  -he would go on to say “you can do anything if you simply remind yourself that you are unique and have unique talents the world will benefit from”...you are enough... *now these words were always comforting to me and I want to extend the same words to you...   ”you can do anything if you simply remind yourself that you ARE unique and do have value”...and more importantly...whatever you are going through will PASS.    I can hear Les Brown right now...You’re troubles are not here to stay they have come to pass...   You can handle whatever you are going through. You can start to create the life you want to live starting today...   ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS Continue to REMIND YOURSELF  OF YOUR GREATNESS...   I HAVE A SMALL PEN HOLDER ON MY DESK -it holds pens and pencils and things I might need.  -it is a gift I received when I got my degree.  -one day I was speaking with Robert and he reminded me of 5 Key Emotions that would guide me through difficult times.  -I wrote these 5 words on the back of a business card and taped them to that pen holder. They have been with me ever since.    Whenever I struggle (as we all do) I look at those cards and they remind me  first, of the important of stying grounded and second, of the key emotions I must turn to when I need a boost or a little inspiration...   Here they are: 1-Faith  Have faith that you can handle anything Have faith that there is a reason or a lesson to be learned and that tomorrow will bring a new day... 2-Courage Have courage to face your challenges head on and to have the courage to find solutions and not dwell in the problems 3-Resolve Be resolved to finish what you start Be not just committed but resolved to become the best version of yourself and inspire those around you to become better 4-Compassion Don’t forget to have love and empathy for others. Show compassion because you never know the silent struggles people are going through. The private battles. Be kind and be compassionate. When I focus on love and compassion you will attract more of that into your life. Give compassion to receive compassion.  5-and finally...Gratitude This is the best emotion of all. I love gratitude for several reasons. First, having an attitude of gratitude will bring happiness and prosperity into your life. Second, practicing gratitude is the quickest and easiest way to eliminate negativity, depression  and anxiety that I have found.    Try it...   So just a quick review.  Faith, courage, resolve, compassion and gratitude...these are the 5 Essential Emotions I have on my desk.    We all want a lot of different things in life. But I truly believe that we are really and truly just seeking the emotions that the “things” will bring us. We want emotions and experiences that will bring us joy and happiness.  It is my hope that if you will take a moment and think about these key emotions that you too can feel inspired and turn difficult situations or times in your life into moments of strength and growth.    That’s my message for today. What problem are you facing?
  • having issues in a relationship
  • struggling with depression or anxiety
  • trouble finding motivation to pursue your goals
  • struggling with regrets or carrying baggage from your past
All of us are struggling with problems each and every day.  Some big, some small, some happen over and over…   There are several steps I have found in my life that have enabled me to be a better problem solver, and I’d like to share them with you today.  But, full disclosure, this is a life-long process of solving problems…   My goal is to help you develop skills to deal effectively with your problems not eliminate them. The key is to become an amazing problem solver.   Some specific steps we will discuss to help you...   1-Recognize your Problems are an Opportunity (positive) -to grow, to learn or maybe simply Change Direction…   2-Change Your Focus (perception) Filter you view problems with -stop giving meaning and energy to a problem…shift to Solution   3-Believe You Can Change Your Filter or View (nueroplasticity) -create a habit of being a problem solver -it requires consistency, persistency, and energy….Work   4-When Your Dream is Big Enough the Problem Doesn't Matter  -don't let problems overwhelm you -let your dreams overwhelm your problem -requires dream building and clarifying where you are going. -most people don't have a plans so its easy to become overwhelmed with problems   5-Solutions can come from Collaboration (internal/external) -sometime talking out will help you find solution -sometimes others perspectives will help expand yours -be open…be vulnerable…be honest   I am glad you are here with me today.     Please Share this episode and tag me on instagram @thedailymastermind.   I will read your comments and look forward to connecting with you.   George Wright III
