Staying Visible When Life Is Full: Evolving Your Brand with Ruthie Sterrett + Ashley Wyatt09 Dec 202500:22:34

If you’ve ever felt the pressure to “show up more,” especially in seasons where your time and energy are stretched thin, you’re not alone. In this conversation, Ruthie Sterrett sits down with brand and web designer Ashley Wyatt to talk about what true visibility really looks like for founders who are also navigating motherhood, busy life seasons, and the never-ending mental load of running a business.

Instead of focusing on posting more, this episode digs into visibility from the inside out—building a brand that reflects your values, honors your capacity, and evolves as you evolve. Ruthie and Ashley unpack why DIY branding often leads to confusion, how clarity becomes the antidote to overwhelm, and why consistent visibility is more like planting seeds than chasing instant results.

You’ll hear honest insights about navigating maternity leave, rebuilding confidence after long breaks, leaning into SEO for sustainable visibility, and knowing when it’s time for a rebrand or brand refresh. Whether you’re growing a business alongside raising kids or stepping into a new season as a CEO, you’ll walk away with clarity and reassurance that you don’t have to burn out to be visible.

Unfiltered Fridays 7/21/2321 Jul 202300:43:15

Welcome to our first ever episode of The Consistency Corner's Unfiltered Fridays.  I'm really excited today to have my friend, Kathy, on the show as a co-host, and instead of a traditional interview style podcast that we do a lot here, Kathy and I are just gonna have a conversation.

She's one of my friends, and I had this idea last week. I was actually on a walk, which  we'll talk a little bit about that because she, as a health coach, has encouraged me to walk a little bit more. The idea of these Friday Conversations is that we're going to have in the moment conversations about what's going on in our businesses, our lives, things that I think other female business owners definitely will resonate with and relate to because we're all going through similar paths on our journey as business owners.

So grab a coffee, put your headphones on and go for a walk, or turn it up while you run errands and listen in on a chat between two business building girlfriends.

As founders and CEOs, we know that social media is where our “office” lives—but what happens when the feed feels unbearable? BONUS EPISODE: Feeling Bored with Social Media? Do These 5 Things. 14 Jul 202300:21:45

Bonus Episode Alert! Friday episodes might become a regular thing, but for now I wanted to drop this as a bonus to talk about how I've been feeling burnt out and bored with social media recently.
If you've felt the boredom or burnout too, listen in for what I'm trying to bring back the energy:

**Create More Than You Consume:** This does not necessarily mean creating more social media content, but could involve focusing on developing more engaging long-form content like podcasts, emails, or blog posts. This approach allows Ruthie to serve her audience without being entirely dependent on social media algorithms.

**Use Social Media for Genuine Connection:** Ruthie intends to use social media to interact with people she admires and enjoys. She plans to do this by sending direct messages to friends or people who create content that she appreciates, sparking conversations rather than promoting her own products or services.

**Lean into Long Form Content:** Long-form content (like podcasts, blogs, or videos) can be repurposed over time. It also provides a more sustainable content strategy that doesn't rely solely on social media.

**Take Time Away from Screens:** Ruthie recommends taking breaks from digital devices to stimulate the brain differently. This could involve going outside, taking walks, or reading physical books.

**Audit Who You're Following:** Ruthie suggests an audit of who you follow on social media, and unfollowing those whose content doesn't serve you, bring you joy, or provide value. This action allows the content that truly matters to take center stage in your feed.

Finally, Ruthie reminds you that while social media is a valuable tool for marketing, it isn't the only one. Other strategies like messaging, branding, networking, email marketing, and website navigation can also play vital roles in a business's marketing plan.
- Ruthie also mentions her new offer, the "Done for You Nine Grid", a tool designed to help businesses maintain their social media presence without feeling overwhelmed. You can literally set it and forget it and stop worrying about grid content for Instagram.

Since first diving into entrepreneurship a decade ago, she has published a book, founded multiple businesses, launched a top 100 podcast, successfully sold a brand, and built a multiple-six-figure agency in less than a year. Jordan’s company, Easy Scaling, combines strategic business consulting with done-for-you execution from a team of more than a dozen experts. • How do you delegate and outsource right and how both of those can help us as business owners be more efficient and effective.
  • The best way to work out what you should delegate and outsource is to track your time and keeping tabs on what you're actually doing in a week - and then assess it and make decisions from there.

MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE:
90 Day Planning Process Document as mentioned
Loom video walkthrough showing how to use it

How To Use a Virtual Summit To Increase Your Visibility with Kylie Kelly20 Mar 202300:47:54

Today I'm so excited to bring my friend Kylie back to the podcast, this time to talk all about how you can become more visible as a business owner, through hosting your own virtual summit. She shared so much value about the process, as well as a good dose of honesty about the results she's seen and how summits have fast-tracked everything for her.

In this episode we covered:

  • How Kylie was able to grow her email list really FAST through virtual summits and how she made sure that a summit energetically made sense for her.
  • The importance of showing up consistently - and how you only fail if you decide to quit.
  • How virtual summits can be a powerful tool to grow your audience and the top of your funnel - and fast track your relationship with your new leads.
  • You don't need an existing email list to start hosting your own summits - but the key is to align yourself with speakers that have your ideal client as a part of their audience.
  • The different types of visibility strategies you can choose from, depending on your goal.

Beyond Money Mindset with Nadine Zumot13 Mar 202300:31:49

I'm excited to bring this conversation to The Consistency Corner Podcast - and share it with you! This week I interviewed Nadine Zumot. Nadine is a Money Energetics Coach who empowers her communities to heal their relationship with money so they can lead a more authentic life and embody their life's purpose. This is something a little different for the podcast - but I know you're going to love this as much as I did!

In this interview we chatted about:

  • Why a lot of us are suffering with money fear & trauma - and what that means for us & our future.
  • How important it is to heal any financial trauma that you're suffering from and why Nadine is so passionate about it.
  • Why money wounds go deeper than just mindset - which means that mindset work alone is never enough to heal these kinds of money wounds.
  • What happens if business owners don't heal their own money wounds & how that can show up for them.
  • What the experience working with an money energetics coach looks like and the types of things she digs into with her clients.

The Truth About Outsourcing Social Media (and Why It Doesn’t Always Work)02 Sep 202500:08:43

This was the summer I finally took social media off my own to-do list—and the relief was real. If you’re feeling drained, resentful, or even ready to throw your phone in the lake, you’re not alone.

In this episode, I share how outsourcing my own content changed my business and my life, and what you need to know before you hand off your marketing. Because being “over it” doesn’t automatically mean you’re ready. Without the right plan, outsourcing can feel harder, not easier.

That’s why I created the Over It Index—a simple readiness assessment that shows if you’re set up for success. It reveals your next best step, so you can finally get content off your plate in a way that gives you freedom, energy, and results.

What The Instagram Influencers Aren't Telling You About Marketing Your Business06 Mar 202300:22:18

Oh my goodness - WELCOME to the 100th episode of The Consistency Corner Podcast! I can't believe we're here and I'm so thankful for each and every one of you - today though I want to talk to you about the 5 things that the instagram influencers are not telling you about marketing your business! Let's dive in!

I covered:
- Why we need to understand the foundations and fundamentals of marketing to actually get results on social media.
- My opinion on niching down - and why I agree that niching down is important. When you talk to ONE person, other people eavesdrop (but when you talk to everyone, no one listens!)
- Social media is not a business strategy, it's a container for your message - likes and followers won't convert to sales.
- Stop consuming tips on how to grow your instagram - if you don't have a full funnel fleshed out behind the scenes - it won't lead to results or sales.
- If you're new in your business, you don't need a social media manager - you need a content strategist that will help you figure out how to actually get sales and what strategies to focus on.

Why Likes, Reach and Followers Don't Matter with Molly Knuth27 Feb 202300:47:18

This week on the podcast I'm honored to introduce you to Molly Knuth from Molly Knuth Media! Molly is on a mission to help women in small towns rewrite how they live and work on their own terms. She knows modern women want to grow families, build businesses or side hustles, impact others for the better, and be a positive force in our communities…but they also want to have a fulfilling life along the way.

In the past 6 years Molly has gone from a stay-at-home mom to a freelance social media marketer to a #bossbabe at Molly Knuth Media managing client needs, talented team members, and her husband and four kiddos on their little farm in Eastern Iowa. What she’s learned in that time is that it’s not just about going full force or any one-size-fits-all strategy for success in business or in life. It takes you leaning into your unique gifts, intuition, and goals, and learning about who you are as a person along the way.

In this interview we chatted about:

  • Why we can't use social media to measure our success - or validate us or what we do.
  • Molly shared advice on how to combat that feeling that we've failed when something we share on social media doesn't get the engagement or interaction we were hoping for.
  • The importance of cultivating real relationships on social media - and how we actually do that as business owners.
  • The strategy behind Molly choosing to have two seperate Instagram pages for her and her business and why she decided to do this - and the results she sees keeping them seperate.

Building a Personal Brand with Lindsay Dollinger20 Feb 202300:31:40

I'm so excited to share this interview with you on the podcast - I'm bringing on my friend Lindsay Dollinger!

Lindsay is a high school Spanish teacher who started off building an online business as a network marketer, growing her team and business to the top 1% of the company. She quickly realized teaching business strategy was her passion and started coaching and teaching other women how to build their online businesses in pockets of time without burnout (don't you just love her already!)

In addition to her love of helping women build a successful online business, Lindsay is passionate about living a healthy and fulfilling life.  She values her family, her doggy — Bella, a good book or podcast, an exhausting work out, traveling all over the world, and spending time laughing with friends.  Lindsay loves supporting entrepreneurs (shout out to all the bosses out there!) and is a fierce advocate of many causes.

During this interview we chatted about:

  • How Lindsay discovered her own personal brand when she was still a teacher with a side hustle and how that has evolved over the years.
  • Advice Lindsay has about building confidence in marketing while working in direct sales.
  • How multi passionate women can create more than one business - more than one brand - without confusing their messaging or audience.
