Say What You Mean. Mean What You Say: How to Practice Integrity04 Nov 202500:43:24

Integrity. We want it. We expect it. But do we practice it?

Have you ever felt betrayed by someone whose words didn’t match their actions? Or been promised something that never came to pass? That sting of disappointment isn’t just about broken commitments—it’s about broken character.

Integrity isn’t simply about being good—it’s about being whole. It’s the alignment of speech, spirit, and follow-through. “Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No’”— I recall the ancient words of Jesus of Nazareth. Integrity what makes someone trustworthy, not just talented.

In this episode, we’re diving into the art of integrity: what it means to be untouched, unbroken, and unwavering in character. We’ll unpack its ancient roots, examine how trust has eroded across politics, workplaces, and homes, and explore how Gen Z and Gen Alpha are quietly leading a return to values that matter.

So let’s talk about how to say what you mean and mean what you say—because when your words build trust, your actions build legacy.

Travel isn’t just about crossing borders. It’s about expanding your worldview.

In this episode, we sit down with Brian McIntosh, a Toronto-based travel content creator who’s explored 120 countries and built a platform that challenges the mental barriers keeping people from experiencing the world. From safety and affordability to language and belonging, Brian helps everyday people become confident explorers.
Brian is a Toronto-based travel content creator who has explored 120 countries and built a thriving platform that challenges the mental barriers keeping people from experiencing the world. Since his first international journey, he’s addressed common fears—“It’s not safe,” “I can’t afford it,” “I don’t speak the language,” “People like me aren’t welcome”—with clarity and confidence.

As a leading voice in the luxury Black travel community, Brian’s work has been featured in Travel + Leisure and Essence Magazine, where he’s celebrated for his cinematic aesthetic and empowering message. His authentic storytelling has led to collaborations with over 100 brands, including Google, Adidas, Panasonic, luxury hotels, and tourism boards worldwide.

Brian calls himself a “Visual Architect,” blending an engineer’s precision with an artist’s eye. Through stunning photography and immersive content, he proves that safety is achievable, luxury is accessible, and cultural differences are bridges—not barriers. He believes the world is eager to welcome curious travelers who show up with respect and openness.

More than showcasing destinations, Brian equips his audience with mindset shifts and practical tools—from travel insurance and packing tips to cultural sensitivity and travel hacking. His honest conversations about navigating unfamiliar places, overcoming language gaps, and traveling as a person of color help transform “someday” dreamers into confident explorers.

His mission is clear: to remove the roadblocks that keep people from seeing the world, and to prove that extraordinary travel experiences aren’t reserved for a select few—they’re waiting for anyone bold enough to challenge their own limitations.

We’ll talk about what it means to see the world through a cultural lens, how to travel smart, and why representation in travel matters.

Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or still dreaming of your first passport stamp, this episode will equip you with practical tips and fresh perspective to help you move from hesitation to exploration.

The Healing Power of CQ: How Cultural Intelligence Can Deepen Your Connections & Reconcile Your Relationships with Guest: Loren Rosario-Maldonado20 May 202501:23:29

New times demand new approaches—not just in leadership but in how we connect with others. Today’s relationships, whether in the workplace, at home, or within our communities, require a deeper level of awareness and adaptability—what Loren Rosario-Maldonado calls Cultural Intelligence (CQ).

Much like leadership must transcend departments and titles, Cultural Intelligence enables individuals to break past surface-level connections and understand the nuances that shape interactions in a globally interconnected world. No one comes to the table unaffected by personal experiences, cultural backgrounds, or external influences, and leaders who acknowledge this reality can foster stronger, more meaningful relationships.

By embracing Cultural Intelligence, you won’t just improve engagement and communication—you may also unlock a deeper level of self-awareness and connection that transforms interactions in work, social settings, and everyday life.

Join me on this episode of The Coach’s Corner as I dive deeper into this concept with Loren. Together, we’ll break down the power of CQ and how it helps us navigate the complexities of human relationships.

Loren’s life is a testament to the incredible power of nurturing leadership within each of us, at every level. Her journey, rich with experience, has been a beacon, transforming organizations and setting new benchmarks of excellence across diverse industries. But despite all her accolades, Loren always felt there was a missing piece in the intricate puzzle of her connections and interactions. Cultural Intelligence was that missing puzzle piece.

In her inspiring new book, Becoming the Change: The Power of Cultural Intelligence, Loren invites us into her journey of revelation and growth. Here, she passionately digs into the transformative potential of cultural intelligence. It’s not just about broadening our horizons; it’s a journey to the core of self-discovery. Loren’s book is more than pages and words; it’s an invitation to embark on a deeply personal and enlightening journey, exploring how embracing cultural intelligence can open doors to understanding ourselves and the world around us.

Holistic Leadership: How to Lead for the Whole Person in the 21st Century of Work08 Apr 202500:45:56

New times demand new leadership approaches. Today's leadership calls for a holistic perspective—what I call 'Holistic Leadership: Leadership for the whole person.' This phrase reflects my observations of the modern workplace.

Leaders can no longer limit their influence to work, departments, or branches. Leadership must transcend the workplace and connect to the lives of their teams, as far as those teams allow. After all, no one comes to work unaffected by life outside of it.

To ignore this reality would be naive. We are deeply interconnected as a global village, and the fact that you're reading this proves how connected we are through social media. Leaders who recognize this reality can cultivate the skills required to lead holistically.

By embracing this approach, you'll not only enhance engagement and retention, but you may also achieve one of Maslow's highest ideals—self-actualization as a leader. Holistic Leadership is the way forward for 21st-century leaders. May you lead with the whole person in mind.

For my next episode, catch me on The Online Prosperity Show, hosted by Prosper Taruvinga, where I delve deeper into this concept.

Making Pillow Talk: How to Be Comfortable with the Uncomfortable Conversation with Robin Wilson25 Mar 202501:13:08

Have you heard of pillow talk? If not, let me break it down. Pillow talk refers to the intimate, relaxed conversations shared between partners while lying in bed—typically before falling asleep or after waking up. It's a moment of vulnerability, connection, and open communication, where people feel at ease discussing personal thoughts, feelings, or even lighthearted topics.

But what happens when the pillow stops being a bridge for conversation and becomes a barrier of contention? When it feels like an insurmountable wall separating you from your beloved? How can couples preserve that intimacy?

Join me for this heartfelt episode as I explore these questions with my guest, Robin Wilson.

Robin Wilson is the founder/CEO of a global lifestyle brand, CLEAN DESIGN HOME® sold at HSN, Macy’s, BELK, Wayfair, Bed Bath & Beyond and within every branch of the military – plus a thriving hospitality business. In addition, her firm completes projects for select interior design clientele. Her brand focuses on the whole home categories including mattresses, pillows, sheets, comforters, robes, towels and more home décor items.

Inspirationally, she is the granddaughter of a cotton sharecropper – and today, she is the founder of a global lifestyle brand with products made of cotton.

As an entrepreneur who has bootstrapped her business, she is a “first” in many ways

  • the first Black American global lifestyle brand focused on the allergen-aware consumer
  • a thought leader on ‘clean living’ as author of two best-selling books
  • the first woman in 2008 to license her eponymous brand to eco-friendly kitchen cabinetry sold by over 400 independent dealers nationwide, generating over $82 million revenue

In 2020, she was selected to the INC magazine list of “Top 100 Female Founders” and later that year, the CLEAN DESIGN HOME® rebranding was launched on the ELLEN show for a “12 Days of Christmas Giveaway”.

Discovered in 2005 by Oprah’s team, her firm has had several projects published or profiled in media.

Overcoming adversity, focusing on a goal and a strong work ethic are the foundation to her success. Her intentional mission is to ensure she honors her ancestors, while also helping to carve a path for future entrepreneurs.

Ms. Wilson is from Austin, Texas. She began her career at Mercer Management Consulting in Boston and finished her corporate jobs at Heidrick & Struggles in New York after an IPO provided a windfall – allowing her to pivot and to chase her entrepreneurial dream. Conflict of Identity & Role in the Home: Ways for Men to Discover, Adapt, and Balance the Integrity of Masculinity and Femininity in Their Marriage and Intimate Partnership10 Dec 202401:12:55

Masculinity has been a hot topic lately. It’s been hotly debated how a man should express his masculinity not only outside the home but also inside the home, where it should be safe. Many times, men are left to their own devices as they continue to struggle to connect with women and vice versa.

The key problem of misunderstanding that leads to conflict impacts both men and women. Conflict is not only outside of the home but also inside the home, the place that should be our safe landing spot—our safe space. One reason for the conflict is men who don’t understand their distinct masculinity and its dynamic relation to femininity, all the more with their changing role in our culture and society.

Join me with my special guest, Jeffrey Klubeck, for this important episode as we discuss how men can better understand masculinity, discover its complementary strength with femininity, and how they can better express, manage, and balance these strengths within and with the women they love at home in integrity.

Jeffrey Klubeck is now, an un-retired Professor of Communication (San Diego State University) and author of The Integrity Game® which is evolving into a comprehensive soft skills development company. As a world-class coach, Jeffrey has worked with entrepreneurs and high-performance teams across 4 continents. He is also the founder of Get A Klu, Inc. which serves small/micro businesses and solo-preneurs with productivity and accountability frameworks. Klubeck is also author the Get A Klu in 52 Soft Skills Book series.

The Future is Clear: It's Cloudy - How to Help Parents & Leaders to Rethink Education for the Next Generation05 Nov 202401:06:11

If you’re a parent with a child in high school, you might be wondering what the future holds. As soon as you start thinking about it, the worry creeps in—sweaty palms, biting nails. What will the future be like for them? The days of a clear path are gone. No more straightforward formula for success: Go to university, do well on your tests, graduate, get a job and home. The end. That’s no longer the story. The story has changed, and the ending will be different if our children aren’t prepared for the future.

How do you prepare your children—and ourselves as parents, educators, counselors, mentors and leaders—for an unclear future? If you’re looking for a path, I may have one for you. Join me on this episode with my special guest, Jake Horne, as we talk about "The Future is Clear: It’s Cloudy." Let's make a path for our future generation—our children.

Jake Horne is an accomplished educator, mentor, and environmental advocate with a diverse background in secondary and post-secondary education, non-profit leadership, and alternative energy solutions. He holds degrees from prestigious institutions such as Harvard College, Trinity College, and the University of Hartford, and has founded several organizations aimed at supporting students and promoting sustainable energy practices.

Throughout his career, Horne has worked as a teacher, school administrator, and mentor, and has been involved in environmental mediation and hydroelectric energy policy. His interests extend to organic gardening, beekeeping, and timber-framing, reflecting a deep commitment to sustainable living and community engagement. Horne has also served on numerous boards, contributing to the development of educational and environmental initiatives in his community.

Presently, Jake is focusing on mentoring Gen-Z students in thinking more deeply and broadly about their future in a very unstable world in which they will need to develop and practice the specific skills, social, emotional and intellectual to thrive in a shifting, transformative future that is unfolding. A principle vehicle for accelerating this skill-building is through a set of unique and personal Gap Year designed experiences before heading off to college. As a result, these more experienced students are far more prepared to get the most out of their college experience and life, setting themselves up as more capable leaders and entrepreneurs. Jake has been mentoring these young individuals since 1994, through his work at The Student Compass.

Did You Remember Your Homework: How to best support your Neurodivergent Child in All Stages with Dr. Tiffany Jamieson22 Oct 202401:09:52

When you hear about neurodiversity, what comes to mind? Some of you might think "different." Some might say "I don’t know." Others could even say "superpower." Whatever your answer, this episode is for you as we’ll explore all three perspectives.

As we grow more knowledgeable about neurodiversity, we're uncovering the unique gifts that neurodiverse individuals bring to the table. Many of our top entrepreneurs and business leaders, like Richard Branson, Barbara Corcoran, Steve Jobs, Angela Henderson, and Elon Musk, have openly shared their neurodiversity. On a more personal level, leaders at schools need to wake up, as our children need us to best educate and nurture their superpowers. Otherwise, our children may lack the resilience to become elite leaders like the distinguished business leaders I've mentioned.

Do you know if young or teenage children have superpowers? Well, I guess you’ll have some homework to find out. Join me on this episode with my guest Dr. Tiffany Jameson as we discuss "How to Best Support Your Neurodivergent Child in All Stages."

Dr. Tiffany Payton Jameson is passionate about transforming the way organizations approach wellbeing, mental health, and neurodiversity. With a unique blend of academic insight and hands-on experience, she specializes in helping businesses create inclusive cultures that empower all individuals, particularly those who are neurodivergent. Her approach is grounded in the latest research, but what sets her apart is her ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies that drive real change.

Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to challenging the status quo and advocating for environments where everyone can thrive. Whether she’s speaking to corporate teams, consulting with leadership, or working one-on-one, her goal is to inspire, educate, and equip others to build spaces that truly value diversity of thought and experience. She believes that by prioritizing mental health and embracing neurodiversity, she can unlock the full potential of every individual and, in turn, the potential of their organizations.

Tiffany has a PhD, Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Canyon University.

Talent is what people admire from a distance—it’s the spark, the potential, the “wow” factor. But skill? Skill is talent that’s been refined, repeated, and repurposed for the public good. It’s what people pay to see, hear, or experience—because it delivers value, consistently.

But do you really need 10,000 hours to be great, as Malcolm Gladwell suggests, to earn that kind of recognition?

Join me in this episode as we explore how greatness might be closer than we think—and how intentional practice can accelerate the journey.

Making a Life And Not a Living at Work: Finding Connection & Purpose in the Workplace27 Aug 202400:46:46

I’ve often heard that a company is not a family. While that may be true, it’s the people who make up a family. When you find your people at work and bond like a family, it makes work much more meaningful and transforms the workplace into a space where you can truly thrive.

In today’s world, where opportunities for authentic connections are dwindling, the workplace might be one of the few places left where people can form these bonds out of necessity. But how do we transition from merely making a living to making a life at work, where connection and purpose are integral?

If you’re interested in understanding the significance of the workplace for your wellbeing, you won’t want to miss this episode.

Join me as I sit down with Glenn Akramoff to discuss “Making a Life and Not Just a Living at Work.”

Glenn Akramoff is the founder and CEO of Akramoff LLC and author of Human Centred Team

His expertise is rehabilitating and revitalizing municipal government workplaces and has developed a program that will improve any organization by returning humanity to the center of focus.

Glenn’s life experiences and core values are the center of his purpose. Having worked from seasonal maintenance to City Manager and now consultant and business owner over a 30-year career, he’s observed a connection between fulfillment at work and happiness at home. He has an intense desire to improve the lives of everyone he works with.

Glenn creates environments that are innovative, inclusive, growing, and rich in communication and respect. His Human Centered program empowers teams and leaders to overcome and succeed together.

Keeping Calm When Everywhere Else is Falling Apart - Part 202 Jul 202400:49:55

Remember September 11, 2001, famously known as 911—the day when the world seemed to unravel, and the unthinkable became reality. The shockwaves from the attacks on the World Trade Center reverberated globally, leaving us questioning everything we once knew. Amidst the chaos, our leaders urged calm, but it was easier said than done.

Beyond the headlines, each of us faces our own 9/11 moments—those times when our personal world crumbles. These crises may go unnoticed by others, but they shake us to our core. We search for a voice to reassure us, to guide us through the hysteria. Sometimes, that voice emerges from within—a quiet strength that helps us gather our bearings and make sense of the chaos.

In this episode, we delve into these intimate 9/11 experiences. Our guest, Erika Cheung, shares her remarkable journey, offering practical insights for navigating personal crises. This Part 1 of a 2-part episode. Together, we explore resilience—the inner force that sustains us when external voices fall silent.

Erika Cheung, Executive Director at Ethics in Entrepreneurship

Currently, the executive director of Ethics in Entrepreneurship, a non-profit whose mission is to foster ethical questioning, culture, and systems in startups and startup ecosystems. We provide programs catered to workers, investors, and founders.

Erika is an advisor to several family offices, venture capital firms, and governmental investment programs focused on healthcare, biosciences, and biotechnology companies. She invests a portion of her time building cross-border networks between the US and the Asia Pacific region to facilitate the growth of companies operating in emerging markets.

Her first job out of college was working for Theranos, where she subsequently was one of the critical whistleblowers reporting the fraud case to regulators preventing the company from providing false lab results to patients. The Theranos scandal has been extensively covered in the media. She's working towards obtaining her ACFE-certified fraud examiner's license to educate others on fraud prevention strategies and develop programs to protect business stakeholders from high-risk ventures. She is also an advisor to several whistleblower advocacy organizations to support individuals who may be retaliated against while reporting misconduct.

She is passionate about innovation ecosystem building, development, economic mobility, affordable healthcare, and public-interest technology projects. She is an avid mixed martial artist in her free time and hopes to support efforts that leverage martial arts to empower trauma survivors.

Hope is Not A Plan – But It's A Pulse: Ways Which Hope Can Keep You Going04 Jun 202400:46:11

Oprah Winfrey once said, “Hope is not a plan.” While this statement holds true, it’s essential to recognize that hope serves as our pulse—a sign that life still flows within us. When hope wanes, we risk becoming lifeless, mere shells of ourselves. The will to carry on diminishes, and we find ourselves adrift.

Hope isn’t merely a nice-to-have; it’s vital for our well-being. It keeps us youthful, inspired, and resilient. Without hope, we lose the drive to be our best selves, and in extreme cases, even the will to live.

So, how do we reclaim hope when it seems to have abandoned us? Join me on this podcast as we delve into the significance of hope during these challenging times. Together, we’ll explore how to rekindle that spark and infuse our lives with renewed purpose.

Reviving the Art of the Apprenticeship: Steps to Immersing Yourself in Your Chosen Profession07 May 202401:00:49

In the ever-evolving landscape of education, a familiar concept is making a triumphant return: apprenticeship. Once relegated to the annals of history, this age-old practice is now gaining traction in schools and beyond. Why the resurgence? Because theory alone cannot forge true competence. To truly excel, students must not only study their craft but also immerse themselves in it. Whether molding clay, coaxing melodies from an instrument, or perfecting a soufflé, apprenticeship breathes life into learning.

But here’s the twist: this advice isn’t just for students. Life itself is our big school, and we are all perpetual learners. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a wide-eyed dreamer, there’s room for apprenticeship in your journey. So let’s embrace this timeless practice, guided by the wisdom of mentors like Adam Torres, who encourages us to revive the art of apprenticeship.

Join us for this episode. Together, we’ll learn, create, and elevate our skills—bridging the gap between theory and mastery.

Time is All a Child Hears: How to Make Your Time Count with Your Child23 Apr 202400:50:20

Our children are facing unprecedented challenges, and they need our support more than ever. As the U.S. Surgeon General aptly stated, these difficulties are uniquely complex and difficult to navigate. Despite our best intentions, many of us find ourselves unsure of how to help. There’s no simple solution, and the path forward is far from straightforward. But one thing is clear: it will require time and intentional effort to truly understand and connect with our children.

The Surgeon General reminds us that there’s no map for this journey. The road is winding, filled with unexpected twists and turns. As parents, educators, and caregivers, we grapple with questions: How do we bridge the gap? How do we guide our children through this intricate landscape? The answer lies in recognizing the value of time—the precious moments we spend getting to know our children.

Time is more than minutes ticking away on a clock. It’s an investment—an opportunity to build trust, understanding, and connection. When we truly know our children—their dreams, fears, and aspirations—we can better support them. But if we overlook the significance of time, the crisis will persist.

Join us on this podcast as we explore how to use this time effectively, so our children can truly hear us and find their way in this complex world.

Authenticity – Can You Be Too Authentic? & How Much is Too Much?09 Apr 202400:47:20

Can you be too authentic? If so, how much is too much?

TMI, aka “too much information,” is when those around you feel you’re a little too real. You’re a little too open. You’re a little too authentic.

In a time where our culture encourages more and more authenticity in every sphere we walk, we’re seeing tension at best and backlash at worst for those who are being authentic but not being received well by those around them.

Is it a case of insensitivity from an immature group that demands similarity? Or is it the case of TMI from the one who demands their authenticity?

In this episode, we aim to answer those questions. We want to keep it authentic and real. So join us for this honest reveal.

The Bridge of Discipline: Why This is Needed for you to Cross to Success & 10 Practical Steps to Build It. (Part 2)30 Jan 202400:31:32

Are you finding yourself already losing motivation for your goals? Are you finding that re-reading your goals is not getting you back on track? In this episode, we get into Part 2 and discuss why discipline is important and offer 10 key steps to help you be more disciplined in 2024 and beyond to achieve the goals you’re looking to achieve personally or professionally.

After all, many people write New Year’s resolutions with the hope that this year will be different. They set goals for themselves, only to find themselves writing the same goals again the following year. It can feel like a never-ending cycle of progress and regression. The problem is that there seems to be progress at the beginning, but then the bridge to cross to the promised land of achievements and goals is missing. What is that bridge?

The bridge is called DISCIPLINE. Without discipline, it’s difficult to achieve our goals and see that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Discipline is the key to success. In this next episode, we’ll talk about why discipline is important and how to build it. This could be the difference between solving the reason you’re falling off that horse and how to get back on it and stay there. Remember, discipline is the bridge that will take you from where you are to where you want to be.

The holidays can be a difficult time for many people, and one of the reasons is the feeling that no one sees them. No one acknowledges them. No one recognizes them. It can be a horrible feeling when we should feel seen the most.

In this next podcast, we’re going to talk about how to see each other, how to recognize each other, and how to make sure that everyone feels seen

Grit & Grind – How to Hustle through Personal Challenges, Setbacks & Traumas with Mark Astor26 Aug 202501:11:33

Have you ever felt like you’re grinding hard but not getting anywhere?

Or maybe you’re pushing through personal challenges, setbacks, or even trauma—and wondering if it’s all worth it.

If that’s where you are right now, my guest Mark Astor is here to share how grit and grind, when fueled by purpose, can lead to real transformation.

Mark’s story is one of resilience, reinvention, and relentless advocacy. From the courtroom to the corner gym, he’s lived the hustle—and now he’s helping others fight for their freedom, their families, and their futures.

Mark, an attorney since 1994, was born and raised in the UK and began his legal career as a Palm Beach County Assistant State Attorney before entering private practice. He served as Chief of two County Court Divisions and later worked in a felony trial division, handling thousands of cases from misdemeanors to capital murder.

Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1994, Mark later gained admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida (1995), the District of Columbia Bar (2005), and the Massachusetts Bar (2022), where he opened a Boston office.

Mark holds a BA from the University of Michigan (1990), a JD from Nova Southeastern University (1994), and an LLM from American University (2005).

Some enjoyed it and have kept it after the pandemic. Others have said no way and prefer to keep the two separate. Many in both groups are still struggling to find that sweet spot where they feel they have hold of their life and not being tossed to and fro by work and life.

As the holidays are now here, the pace of work-life will increase. We work faster to get to the holidays. And when we get to the holidays, we move faster to get to the end of the holidays. Finally, we need a holiday from the holidays before we get back to work. How do we pace ourselves? Is there an approach to stay grounded in the midst of our ever-increasing busy world? Is there a work-life approach?

Join me in this podcast to understand different work-life approaches. This podcast may be the thing you’re looking for to lower your blood pressure and increase your joy in your daily living especially during this stressful time of the holidays.
