In this episode, we revisit this Hitchcockian styled thriller, where we'll discuss the benefits of having a movie that clocks in at 80 minutes, how Rachel McAdams's Lisa is a top tier final girl, what Scream influences Craven specifically infuses into the movie, and just our overall glee behind an extraordinarily talented filmmaker doing his job. In this week's episode, we'll talk all about why Pearl is the exception to Zack's "Why Prequels Suck" rule, go over the connections and Easter eggs the movie shares with "X", speculate the plot for the upcoming sequel: MaXXXine, and why the X trilogy may already be the best horror trilogy without being complete, as well as discuss Mia Goth's Oscar-winning potential, and of course, as always, we'll also choose which character we think was most deserving to die.

Stick around as we talk about our first time ever seeing this, our admiration for Bruce Campbell and the Raimis, why we both feel this is a huge improvement over the original, and of course, we'll also choose which character we think was most deserving to die.
| Episode 43 | Child's Play (1988) | 22 Nov 2022 | 01:54:28 | |

In this week's episode, we will discuss everything in the OG Child's Play movie, from the (in our opinions) Oscar worthy performances of Brad Dourif and Chris Sarandon, to the brilliant and groundbreaking animatronics by Kevin Yagher that made a horror icon who he is today. | Episode 42 | House on Haunted Hill (1999) | 15 Nov 2022 | 01:57:43
⚰️ Revisiting the Dark Castle remakes of the late 90s / early 2000s, this week we are talking all about their first outing with the modern day update of William Castle's House on Haunted Hill, originally from 1959. In this episode... well, we basically just have a bitter feud over whether this movie is nostalgic fun or pure trash. We'll touch upon the movie's little details, from its inspired Art Deco style, to its gothic sounding pipe-organ score, as well as discuss the remake trend that this movie doesn't really get credit for kickstarting. And of course, we'll also choose which character we think was most deserving to die.
| Episode 148 | Sorority Row (2009) | 08 Jul 2025 | 02:04:32 | |
🎓 We had the hankering for some 2000s slashers! | Episode 41 | Hollow Man (2000) | 08 Nov 2022 | 01:44:36
🧬 While the Universal Classic Monsters are experiencing a renaissance of sorts lately, with Blumhouse's The Invisible Man in 2020, and a Wolfman re-imagining in the works, we thought we would rewind back 20 years to explore the previous reincarnation of the H.G. Wells story, with the sexually charged, big-budgeted blockbuster Hollow Man. So in this episode, we will take a deep dive into the Academy Award nominated (for it's CGI effects), yet critically panned popcorn flick, to reevaluate the public opinion to see if we can't find something to love about this hot mess of a movie, and as always, choose which character we think was most deserving to die. Spoiler alert, they all do.
| Episode 40 | Scream 4 (2011) | 01 Nov 2022 | 02:08:37 | |
🚪 After an 11 year hiatus, and a seemingly sound conclusion to the original Scream trilogy, Scream 4 (or SCRE4M) quietly sauntered into theatres with little to no marketing. As a result, it received a remarkably underwhelming box office intake which seemed to pump the brakes on any onward momentum for immediate future sequels. No matter how you feel about Scream 4 though, it can be argued that even this franchise's low points, which are few and far between, are way above the cut of any of the other heavy hitting horror franchise (mostly due to Wes Craven's talents as a filmmaker). So in this episode, we dive into the fourquel to discuss what we liked, what we didn't like, what could have been done differently to make this a more successful movie, what makes this one stand out from the rest, and as always, we'll be choosing which character we think was most deserving to die.
