I'm excited to have Bob Burg, co-author of The Go-Giver, on The Career Transition Experts!

Join Bob and Jonathan as they discuss these strategies and how they apply to your job search and career advancement. You'll learn how to influence others and learn how to attract others to yourself and your ideas by aligning your message with their needs.

You'll also learn how to ask the right questions in order to find out how to learn what those needs are, equipping you to quickly build rapport and bring your networking relationships to a higher level.

By applying Bob's advice - by approaching networking with an intention to serve and give immense value to others - you'll likely notice that your own professional goals are easier to reach as well.

Your "customers" as an intrepreneur includes your hiring parties, your networking contacts, your colleagues and the people you lead, among others. These are people you, as a leader, want to consistently provide immense value to.

Bob Burg, an award-winning speaker and author, explains how this mindset shift works.

Ep31: Applying a Marketing Mindset to Your Job Search16 Jul 202000:03:48

Competition in the job market is tough, now more than ever. In order to land the job you want, you have to be willing to do what the majority of your competition won't.

Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are often considered the "gateway" to getting your foot in the door, but there are times that the algorithm can weed out the best candidates. When you proactively treat your job search like a marketing campaign, you open new avenues to reach decision makers and position yourself for a role that best fits you.

The "What the Hell" approach, designed by Marty Gilbert, is designed to help leaders apply a marketing mindset to their job search. In this episode, Marty explains his approach and how it's helping leaders in many different industries break through the red tape and get hired.
