Welcome to The Burnout Rebellion Podcast.

Hello!

I am super excited to be sharing with you the introductory episode of The Burnout Rebellion Podcast. This episode provides you with an overview of what to expect in Season 1 of the podcast.

Over the last 2 months I have been having some truly wonderful conversations with some amazing humans who have navigated their own burnout. They have pivoted their lives in a direction that is more aligned with who they truly are. It has been truly inspiring. I also have guests who are experts in their field and are sharing their advice on how to navigate burnout. This includes tips on how to manage businesses, social media and ourselves in a way that remains true to our values but is not overwhelming.

My guests include;

Selina Barker, a career and design coach. Author of Burnt Out: the exhausted person’s six-step guide to thriving in a fast-paced world’ and the design of the Project You journals. She also writes the Substack Another Way.

Thomas Winward, an award winning documentary filmmaker making waves with his immersive documentaries on Nature and his Substack Urban Nature Diary.

Emma Simpson, the author of the upcoming book ‘Breaking Waves’, and the Substack Lemon Soul.

Amanda B. Hinton, an editorial strategist, writer and editor who writes The Editing Spectrum, a bestselling newsletter that helps creators sharpen their newsletter skills.

Elizabeth Austin, a writer has written for HuffPost, Today.com and The Sun amongst others. She is also the author of Writing Elizabeth on Substack. She challenges the idea of polished survival stories, and openly discusses life following her daughters leukaemia diagnosis and treatment.

Jane Galloway, an award-winning coach and Founder of Quiet the Hive, supports individuals to find a life they love, ensuring they have the confidence to get it. You’ll find her here on Substack.

Sarah Robertson, a brand designer and creative mentor. You may know her from her incredibly successful kickstarter for the Brand Seasons playdeck. She also writes the newsletter Brand Seasons.

Caroline Harris, a former banking professional turned sustainability advocate and founder of Direction Aligned, helping to guide individuals at pivotal points in their career or business. She writes Reconnect to Redirect.

Marisa Guthrie, a business coach who helps solopreneurs move out of shame, claim their value, and grow profitably without compromising their ethics. She also writes The Reluctant Capitalist here on Substack.

Nicola Washington, a social media manager, runs Too Much Social, and is here to tell us how to use social media sustainably. She specialises in working with authors and has a fantastic understanding of how to grow our audiences while remaining aligned and burnout free.

Sara Chandran, the founder of Fresh and Fearless, a diversity, equity and inclusion consultancy and also the host of the fantastic podcast Out of the Office.

Phoebe Brookes, a freelance writer, packed up her life in London after being made unexpectedly redundant. She took the opportunity to completely change her life moving to the Isle of Arran and embracing a slower paced life. She writes Island Tales on Substack.

I’ll also be sharing short mini-episodes that support you in your own journey with everything from how to chose your word of the year, to meditations to help you recentre and return to your soul.

We’ll be starting off with a special episode before Christmas with Selina Barker who I have a wonderful conversation with about burnout and recovery.

I would so love to hear from you in the comments, whether that’s to share your excitement about the episodes, or to ask for specific topics for the minisodes. So happy that you are here!

See you later on in the week!

Much love,

Anna xx
