I am very excited to share with you the story of Peter Klutt. Peter is the founder of Legendary Motorcar, and I’ve wanted to speak to him since the day I first started this show. In fact, I wanted to have a good excuse to speak with him LONG before The Bucket Seat existed. So, I hope that you’re settled in, and are ready to be taken for a journey down the path of LMC, with the legend himself, Peter Klutt.

Keiron is an automotive photographer who ended up on my radar solely through his work. I'd certainly admired it through multiple media outlets, but really zeroed in on him through his work for speedhunters. Finding him online is easy, seriously, just google Keiron Berndt - and you'll be overwhelmed by the combination of volume and quality that he has produced over the years. He has an photographic style that you can't deny, and a eye for those moments where we all wish we had camera in hand. It's behind the scenes, but from the front lines..... for as much sense as that makes.

Gary has an incredibly interesting background in the automotive industry, and has been around some of the most interesting cars that have been built, found, and restored in this country - so it's no wonder he ended up behind the wheel of an incredibly fast one, as a professional race driver in the NASCARnext series.

In this episode my guest is Olivia Scaffidi, a super talented automotive photographer, writer, and complete gear head. She takes us through the things that inspire her in the automotive world, the impressive body of work she's developed relatively quickly since beginning her time as a photographer, and how she's been able to work here way into the tightly knit muscle car community to shoot & document some seriously cool cars across north america.

What I loved about our conversation is how Adi has a finger on the pulse of new cars in North America - but he's also quick to give you a history lesson on old benzs, hondas and lexusesssssssesssesssss....... Ryan is an incredibly interesting (and Canadian) individual who I came across in another automotive podcast, (go figure), called Maximum Driftcast - a show that you can very easily find yourself being lead down the rabbit hole of drifting.  So Ryan came up as a person of interest to me through a lot of conversation about his involvement with the FIA and how its role plays out in the motorsport of drifting.... his clout in this role comes from years upon years of judging drifting across the globe, piloting his own drift car once-upon-a-time, and generally being a celebrity figure in the drift scene due to his tremendous knowledge and experience.  If you've ever wanted a peak behind the curtain of drifting, from one of the most qualified to reveal it, this is certainly going to be an episode for you.

Having the opportunity to sit down with the founders of Radwood was humbling, gratifying, and inspiring all at the same time. Motorsport, or not. If you love drift, haven't ever experienced drift, or run events every week, you can't miss what these guys are putting on - its epic.

In this episode I chat with Kyle Patrick, Editor in Chief of GTPlanet. As the name probably leads you to believe, GT being Gran Turismo originally, this episode is about the online world of cars, racing, and the tremendous amount of enthusiasm that is had for them around the world.  We touch on trends in the gaming world, how the online world is integrating some pretty incredible technology to give drivers in simulators, some of the same feedback we experience in the real world. Force feedback wheels are one thing, but beginning to feel understeer in a wheel set up is pretty damn cool if you ask me. We finish with what Kyle and GTPlanet have evolved into, which keeps its roots in Gran Turismo and the gaming world, but is now impressively crossing over into how cars are behaving in the real world too.

This past weekend I was on location for the second time, at Fitted Toronto's 9th annual event. Serious kudos to David Soo and Arthur for the near decade of running such a successful event. While at Fitted my first two guests are Senior Editor Micky Slinger, and Associate Editor Adam Gordon from Performance Auto & Sound Magazine (PASMAG). These guys undoubtedly have an endless supply of cool car stories, and that was apparent after the first few minutes of talking to them. So I tried to dig into some top level topics about the magazine, and then as I always do,  get to know what it was that got them into cars in the first place. A quick apology for the wind noise and fluctuating volume levels of this episode. I was working with a brand new rig, made a rookie mistake and didnt have proper wind covers for my lav mics...... as a result I ended up fighting to regulate the levels the whole time.

in this episode I Have Sasha Anis on the show. Sasha has had such a cool history in automotive. In motorsports, in the analytics and tuning of races cars and road cars, and now, it's no exaggeration to say he's breaking ground in the electric sports car world. Sasha and I start where we always do, with the beginning. Where it all started and what it was that got Sasha into the automotive world....from there we dig into Sasha's mainstay business, OnPoint Dyno. That's his mobile dyno tuning business which has thrived since he started it, but then we get into one of his project cars. It's named Blue Lightning, and has been named as a bit of a throw back to his imaginative childhood. This piece of engineering wizardry is based on a Lotus Evora, and completely powered by a Tesla electric motor.You'll want to stick around for the tail end of the episode for some news Sasha shares about an exciting new business venture he's launching in 2018, named Mountain Pass Performance...... I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of it in this, and the coming years.

I had Jover Poppa-G and Devo Dunbar on the show to talk about what they've been up to with Vice, Scraped Crusaders, and a wicked new event they're working on for 2018, called Drift Jam. As we have been doing, we start with where Devo got his spark for cars, we did the same with Jover back in episode 16 so check that out to hear the same for him. In a bit of a new twist, this time we end with where Jover and devo think the whole future of the industry is going - they've got a finger on the pulse, so stick around for their predictions. I really loved shooting the shit with these guys, so I hope you enjoy the show.

I had a chance to sit down with Lane Skelton of Driving While Awesome, the day before the most epic of car shows I've ever been to, and it goes by the name of Radwood. This was only the second, of what I expect to be many. The cars were staggeringly cool. Some wildly rare in their vintage, and others simply badass mementos to a generation some of us hold near and dear to our hearts. In this episode you'll get a chance to understand Lanes perspective on how he, and the DWA crew have approached Radwood, Cars & Coffee, the Costal Range Rally, and of course their very own very awesome, twice weekly podcast. Lane and I were sitting down at Cerveteca, a patio bar in Venice Beach, so you'll get a distinct ambiance that I think was fitting for this one. I was also rolling off a wicked cold, and into a night of brutal flu - so bare with me!

In this chat with Laurance we start out with the move he recently made at Pfaff automotive, to become Creative Director. Sasha Anis is the mastermind behind both mountain pass performance, and on point dyno. I spoke to him nearly two years ago right when he launched MountainPass, an EV oriented performance company  with a deep rooted history in motorsport.You’ll hear stories of Sasha’s exploits in racing with his lightning fast Model 3, his groundbreaking build of a hybrid race car and its mission to set Mosport lap records, and how he sees the electrified future of automotive shaping up.

Now that we've heard about Targa Truck's path to Newfoundland, we resume the episode with Marks in depth look at where Targa Truck is going, and what that build is shaping up to become. It's crazy, legitimately, and the lengths that Mark is going to with this vehicle are absolutely astounding.

Targa Truck, Part 1 with my guest Mark Bovey. In keeping with my favourite line of questions, we start off the episode with the things that got mark into cars (and trucks in this case). Land Yachts, and restorations at the mere age of 16 - its pretty damn impressive.  We then move through to the genesis of Targa Truck, all the the set up, and race at itself at Targa Newfoundland. There are few who can say they've raced the Targa Newfoundland, fewer that can say they were competitive there, let alone end up in the position Mark & Miles finished.

In part 2 of 2 I continue speaking with Tamir Moscovici. In this episode we really focus in on the making of Tamir's films, and spend a considerable amount of time on Urban Outlaw. We also chat about another one of his great feature length films after Urban Outlaw, Kaz. This is certainly one of the highlights of my short time building The Bucket Seat, it was truly an honour and a privlage to having Tamir on the show. Enjoy!

A 1974 911 RS which was heavily inspired by the '87 RUF CTR Yellowbird, and a 914 that Magnus Walker set him up with. Warning: these are drool inducing moments. The Porsche Passion runs deep with Tamir, and I love it. Part 2 will focus primarily on the making of Urban Outlaw, and Kaz.
