| Alec Maxwell: Vogue insider reveals all, how to be creative and break into the industry you want | 10 Jul 2023 | 00:41:01 | |
In this week’s episode, I delve into the extraordinary life and career of Alec Maxwell, the visionary behind Kloss Films and husband to the brilliant Edward Enninful. Originally from the Wirral, just outside Liverpool, we chat about Alec’s path from studying fashion at university, becoming a lecturer to founding Kloss Films - Alec offers a really interesting insight that anyone wanting to get into the fashion and film industry needs to hear. We also explore his perspective on breaking into fashion today, why he hates the word ‘networking’ and the controversial topic of unpaid internships. Plus, he shares a behind-the-scenes glimpse into some of his most famous collaborations, including a shoot with Rhianna, which I was obsessed with. We also talk about his meticulous planning schedule and why he lives by the mantra of "failing to prepare is preparing to fail."

| Krissy Cela: From trauma to triumph, how to change your life fast | 03 Jul 2023 | 01:00:04 | |
In this episode of The Break, I get to sit down with entrepreneur and business owner - Krissy Cela, founder at ONER active. As fellow business women, it was such a pleasure to talk about how she has built and scaled her fitness brands. I get into the growth of Krissy's business, her journey towards financial success, as well as the lessons she learned along the way. As a trailblazing creator who has built several thriving online communities, Krissy largely credits her immigrant mentality in driving her mindset and ambition. What I also love about this episode is Krissy’s story behind her journey of healing and empowerment - another way she’s ultimately connected more with her followers and created a community that is authentic and honest.

| Dr Esho: Cosmetic doctor reveals true cost of the Kardashian look | 26 Jun 2023 | 00:57:37 | |
In this week’s episode I’m joined by the famous cosmetic surgeon behind the UK's first black doctor-owned cosmeceutical brand, ESHO. Dr Esho and I sit down to discuss the boom in cosmetic treatments over the last few years, and how trending procedures and social media filters have led to a rising phenomenon of younger people seeking cosmetic surgery. As more and more of us consider expensive and often sometimes irreversible injectables or cosmetic surgery, I think it’s important to get an honest take from one of the leading Dr’s before you make any decisions. I ask: what are the impacts of cosmetic surgery on our mental health, how has the influence of social media informed beauty standards and if you were to start today, how much would lip filler cost across your lifetime? We delve into the all aspects of the cosmetic industry: is getting tweaks good for confidence? Or is the industry profiting off essentially, people’s insecurities?

| GK Barry: From drop out to TikTok millionaire, Grace Keeling unlocks the secrets to social media growth | 19 Jun 2023 | 00:41:09 | |
Hilarious, relatable and inspiring: I can’t think of anyone better than GK Barry to kick off the new season of The Break with. In this episode, I speak with the TikTok creator turned podcast host, Grace Keeling - widely known as GK Barry. Over the last 3 years, Grace has become a TikTok sensation and chart topping podcaster, all thanks to her outrageous stories, characterization of GK Barry and brutally honest humour.
Her life is as wild as it seems but like most creators who shoot to fame, Grace has faced challenges in her career. Grace takes us through her early life, discussing her experiences growing up in Cambridge, her university years and the challenges she faced while balancing her creator life with her Masters Degree. We discuss what makes Grace so likeable: her relatability, and the pressures of being “always on" as a creator. I love this episode because I think it’s so important to hear creators thinking long term and Grace is doing exactly that: she talks about how she makes her money, and how she’s planning to spend it.

| The Break: Coming Soon | 12 Jun 2023 | 00:01:11 | |
The Break represents the gap between what you see as an ideal lifestyle and how you build a plan to actually get there. For me, Patricia Bright, this began in 2009 when I was creating beauty and fashion content for YouTube alongside being a student and working at an investment bank. After seven years I hit one million subscribers and learned a lot of financial lessons the hard way en route. So, in 2018 I founded my first company, The Break.
I founded this network for women like me, to demystify the journey to personal success and provide access to the tools and education needed to improve financial literacy and bridge the gap to our ideal lifestyles. Now, in 2023, The Break community is 500k+ strong. I was able to navigate the world of personal finance as a fashion-lover, parent and content creator because of open and honest conversations with my own network of family, friends and mentors.
This podcast is an open door to those conversations I’ve been having, so you can learn from the people that I look up to. In each episode expect to hear well-known voices delivering never heard before insights, success AND failure as well as a level of honesty about personal development that you won’t get elsewhere. The Break will support you in learning, growing, navigating life like a boss, and making money move in the process.
Please subscribe, rate and review and if you like what you hear tell a friend to tell a friend.

I've tested a lot of ways to build wealth. In this video, I'm ranking my 5 best investments from worst to best.
I break down:
Property, I own 7 properties, but I think the UK housing market is a bubble.
Picking Individual Stocks - My Nvidia investment returned 15x, but 90% of active stock pickers underperform index funds over 10 years
Angel Investing - The uncomfortable truth: 60–70% of individual angel investments return nothing. But one 10x exit changes everything.
2 Index Funds & ETFs - The S&P 500 has returned ~10% per year for 30 years. A Stocks and Shares ISA lets you invest £20,000/year completely tax-free. Time in the market beats timing the market
1 Building a Business - My #1 wealth-building tool. Working for someone else has an income ceiling. Building an audience and selling to them removes it entirely
This is not generic money advice. This is how I actually think about building wealth.

Linda Ayoola is one of the most powerful women in UK music. She went from a banking graduate scheme to joining an 11-person startup called Platoon, which sold to Apple for nine figures — and she was part of the package. As Global Head of Music, she's worked with Mr. Eazi, Ayra Starr, Amaarae, Adekunle Gold, and more. Now she's left Apple to build what's next.

4. The real cost of making a music star — why labels invest £10M+ into artists like Olivia Dean before they blow up
5. Drake's $300M deal, Rihanna's contract freedom, and why Beyoncé still has to deliver albums
6. Why AI-generated music on Suno is "detrimental to real art" and the controversy behind viral AI tracks

This week I'm breaking down the 7 unsexy habits that make women wealthy.
I've been lucky enough to speak to some of the most successful women in business - Emma Grede, Grace Beverley and Conna Walker - and trust me when I say the women who become millionaires have mastered the art of doing things that are VERY unsexy. Because if you do what only 1% of people are willing to do, you'll get what only 1% of people have.
I left a career in investment banking to build a multi-7-figure business, and I've seen first hand that hard work alone isn't enough anymore. It takes a whole new set of habits. Stay until the end, because you'll be surprised how simple some of these are.
In this video I break down:
1. Why wealthy women check their accounts obsessively — and the 8 accounts I personally run
2. The "buy cheap, buy twice" trap and why owning fewer, better things saves you thousands
3. How talking about actual numbers out loud makes you better with money in real life
4. Buying freedom before luxury: the delegation maths that changes everything
5. The exact script I use to negotiate bills and salary - and why the silence after matters most
6. Why net worth beats salary, and the reason almost 30% of £100k earners still can't cover their bills
7. The small print habit that quietly saves you hundreds every single year
