| Farewell DCEU Part One with Scott Mendelson | 27 Nov 2023 | 01:52:50 | |
Following the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, it is believed we will be seeing a reset in the land of DC Comics turned movies under the new regime of James Gunn and Peter Safran. In this retrospective, Scott Mendelson and I (along with some guests) will be taking a look back at the films that made up the run, dubbed “DCEU” by many, starting with Man of Steel back in 2013. Our first installment is the origin of the films. In the year following the conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies, we start afresh with Zack Snyder and Man of Steel. This episode looks at that one and a few of its follow ups in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman. The films that made up the era in which Zack Snyder was clearly a presence. -Brandon The Brandon Peters Show will return Monday (12/4) with Part Two of Farewell DCEU (Justice League theatrical, Aquaman, Shazam!, Birds of Prey) and special guest Molly Henery TECHNICAL INFORMATION Post Production RUNTIME: 113 minutes

“An Unearthly Child”, the first episode of Doctor Who broadcast on the BBC 6o years ago this week. Being as the show means so much to me, I definitely wasn’t going to let this week or month go without doing SOMETHING for it. Rather than trying to outdo other podcasts or overthink things, I decided to go with something more relaxing and simple. I welcome back Russell McGee of Big Fish and he and I go Doctor to Doctor, staring with William Hartnell and share our 3 favorite stories from each. Hear our passion and what within the 60 years keeps us going and how our tastes with the show pan out across time and space. The concluding part of our journey sees us discussing the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann) and the entirety of the Modern series – Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker -Brandon The Brandon Peters Show will return Monday to begin Farewell DCEU with Scott Mendelson. | Products of the Panic: Indictment: The McMartin Trial (1995) with Troy Brownfield | 06 Nov 2023 | 01:31:33
Products of the Panic is already back. This time, Troy and I discuss one that has been mentioned a few times, INDICTMENT: THE MCMARTIN TRIAL. This is an Emmy Award winning television movie that HBO produced back in 1995 starring James Woods, Mercedes Ruehl and Henry Thomas. The film takes a look at one of the longest, most insane trials in our United States history. All based on fabrications and originated from a disturbed and mentally troubled individual. Despite clear evidence, the trial kept moving on. Satanism was at the blame out of nowhere and it fractured the lives of the innocent. -Brandon The Brandon Peters Show will return. Products of the Panic is back for its third installment. This time, Troy and I look at the absolutely ludicrous Geraldo Rivera prime time special from 1988 called “Devil Worship: Exposing Satan’s Underground.” This one features loads of “bull” and even Ozzy Osbourne makes an appearance. “Products of the Panic” a recurring segment on this podcast. Show regular Troy Brownfield (The Saturday Evening Post) and I use this series to take a look at some of the media and propaganda created during the height of the Satanic Panic in the 1980s. Troy is very much an expert in the field and we’ve discussed it on more than one occasion. -Brandon The Brandon Peters Show will returns Monday (10/23) with Jessica Alsman, Gregg McGoon and Rob Zombie’s Firefly Family Trilogy. Nicholas Rohrman and I met this year as roomies at PopCon Louisville. He’s a talented young lad and I was excited to finally bring him on the show. We discuss his podcast/comedy group So Far So Good as well as some of his other endeavors including “Constellation Quest” (link below). He brought to the table 2002’s The Country Bears. This derided upon arrival movie delivered a lengthy discussion both in praise humor and critical analysis from us. I loved every second of it and I hope you do, too. | Series 7 with Jamie Alvey | 02 Oct 2023 | 01:39:38
Jamie Alvey helps kick off our first movie chat of Year 4, which seems to be a trend now. But, she has exciting news as her film Bystanders is currently in post production. We talk a whole load about that. We also discuss a favorite of mine that is one of the few this side of the year 2000 to sincerely hold the “cult classic” status. Series 7 is both of and ahead of its time. A wonderful satire that also doubles as a suspenseful body count movie and endearing character piece. -Brandon The Brandon Peters Show will return Wednesday (10/9) with special guest Nicholas Rohrman. | “Podcaster Therapy” with Jennifer Wreyford | 25 Sep 2023 | 01:40:29
Welcome to YEAR 4 of The Brandon Peters Show. As I normally kick off each year, one of my guests returns to reflect on the prior year of the show and stuff I aim at looking forward to. This year, however, I wanted to dig deeper. In what I’m calling “Podcaster Therapy”, I’ve brought on the show’s resident life coach Jennifer Wreyford to dive into just how tough it is to produce this show as well as the many other trades I employ while also maintaining a full time job and having a family. I hope the episode doesn’t come across as a big gripe or whining but more so to see an understanding. I thought I went quite well, and I share some things that are a bit deeper, personal and more open than I ever have before. -Brandon The Brandon Peters Show will return next week (10/2) with Jamie Alvey (Bystanders) to discuss the film SERIES 7 (2001) Please consider becoming a patron by going to http://patreon.com/brandonpetersshow TECHNICAL INFORMATION Post Production RUNTIME: 101 minutes

PopCon week continues with more from PopCon Indy 2023! PopCon Louisville proved to be an arena of making plenty of new friends. One of the ones I valued most was that of Chris Johnson from The Normies. He subbed for Jessica on the live show and between that and this I really enjoy our chemistry and bouncing off one another. This time Chris presented a game idea and we hashed it out and ran with it. Needless to say, it caught the attention of the PopCon crowd and became a standing room only event! It’s being tweaked and going to be coming back, folks! The Brandon Peters Show will return tomorrow with cosplayer Kim Is Possible. But, as luck would have it, I was joined by Chris Johnson of The Normies and Patrick McGlinn of The KJ Today Show. Together, we put out a heck of a program with wonderful chemistry, and fun, positive vibes that the crowd enjoyed. I’m grateful for both of them and everyone who came by to check it out.
