On a quiet evening in January 2018, an extraordinary horror was about to be revealed. All it took was one young girl and one decision - the decision to fight for her life. It was one action that set in motion a disturbing turn of events.. that got an entire community asking one question: How could something this horrific stay hidden for so long?

On September 11th, 2001, the world watched in horror as terrorists hijacked four planes, brought down the Twin Towers, and carried out sickening attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives.  It was a day of unimaginable loss and tragedy.

Families waiting for phone calls that would never come. Ordinary people facing extraordinary terror.

But in the aftermath of that tragedy, as the world tried to understand what had happened, a different kind of story began to emerge…

People who claimed to be survivors started to step forward.

Some were telling the truth. Others were not.

And it got the world asking: why would anyone choose to lie about one of the most devastating days in modern history?

A quiet pond. Still, dark and seemingly undisturbed. The kind of place you might glance out at without ever giving it a second thought.

But beneath the surface of this pond was a secret that would leave an entire community terrified..

Usually when a body is found, it provides closure.. it answers questions. But what if it actually just deepened the mystery?

This case is full of deeply unsettling questions. Suspicious discoveries.. and details that didn't quite add up. In the case of Casey Pitzer, the deeper you look, the harder the truth is to find..

For thirteen summers, he did the unthinkable. He walked willingly into a world most people would try to escape.

Miles from civilisation, surrounded by some of the largest predators on Earth, Timothy Treadwell lived among wild grizzly bears.

He named them.. he spoke to them.. he believed he understood them. And maybe most dangerous of all, he believed they understood him.

But in October 2003, deep in the Alaskan wilderness, Timothy and his girlfriend Amie disappeared. What happened next would leave behind one of the most disturbing tragedies in the history of human encounters with wildlife..

One swipe. That’s all it can take to let a stranger into your life. You might think you’re choosing someone based on a photo and a few lines of text, but you have no idea who is sitting on the other side of the screen.

For one young woman, one swipe would set in motion a chilling chain of events that would end in the most horrifying way.

This is the case of Molly McLaren

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare… your little girl vanishes in the middle of the night. After the unimaginable heartbreak of learning that she’s been murdered… the investigation takes a devastating turn. Riley’s own Dad is accused of killing his little girl. But after fighting to prove his innocence, one terrifying question is left..  if Kevin Fox didn’t kill Riley, then who did?

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare… your little girl vanishes in the middle of the night. As you start searching for her, it quickly dawns on you that this was no accident. And you almost forget how to breathe at the gut wrenching moment you hear… she’s been murdered.

But as horrifying as that news is… you’re about to discover that the worst is yet to come..

This is the shocking case of the murder of Riley Fox.

It started as a normal day in January 2013, at Lowndes High School. But inside the school gym was something noone ever expected to find.

Kendrick Johnson was dead. And the circumstances of his death would turn into one of the most fiercely disputed cases in America.. For his loved ones, the question was terrifyingly simple: What happened to Kendrick Johnson?

Seven minutes. That's all it took.

On a cold February evening in rural New Hampshire, a young woman crashed her car on a quiet desolate road. But when police, she was gone. A locked abandoned car and no sign of life.

No footprints. No confirmed sightings. No answers.

More than two decades later, that seven minute gap remains one of the most haunting mysteries in modern true crime. This is the disappearance of Maura Murray.

In November 2022, a usually quiet small college town in Moscow Idaho, was now a chaotic and frantic scene.

A blood soaked house stood frozen in time, and locals struggled to process what the hell was going on.

From the moment a quadruple homicide was announced, it was a race against the clock. Find the killer.. before it’s too late.

On a quiet street in the small college town of Moscow, Idaho, stood a house that was rarely silent. Friends drifted in and out and music echoed through the rooms at 1122 King Road.

It was the kind of place everyone wanted to be. Until a fateful night in November 2022.

All of a sudden for one community, the sense of safety vanished forever.

Four young lives were stolen in an attack so shocking that it left the entire world scrambling for answers.

This is the story of Madison, Kaylee, Xana and Ethan.

An investigation that gripped the world, and left one question unanswered: why?

In a quiet village in Wales, children still rode their bikes through close-knit streets and neighbours knew each other by name. And one little girl's smile lit up an entire community. 5 year old April Jones. But In October 2012, what should have been a very normal autumn day turned into every parent's worst nightmare. What followed was a desperate race against the clock.

A story that gripped the nation, and later would break hearts across the world.. this is the case of April Jones.

For the officers of Denver Police Department, every case demands professionalism, every victim deserves justice, and every investigation must remain objective. But what happens when suddenly, the name at the top of the missing persons file isn't a stranger? What happens when the woman you're desperately searching for is your own daughter?

A devoted mum of two, Heather DeWild, vanished without a trace.. and for one retired police officer, the stakes had never been higher..

The morning began like any other summer day. It was set to be another gorgeous day at a quiet Massachusetts pond.

Molly Bish arrived for her lifeguard shift, but within minutes, she was gone. Her radio, towel, and shoes all left behind.. like they were frozen in time.

In broad daylight, at a place where families gathered to enjoy nature, someone made Molly disappear.

And the mystery of what happened to her would haunt an entire community..

It was supposed to be an exciting weekend - Wrestling Star Chris Benoit was due to appear at WWE's Vengeance: Night of Champions in Houston.

But he never made it. In fact, he quietly sent texts from his family home explaining his wife and son were sick. But something about his demeanour felt .. odd.

Inside that house, horrors too horrific to comprehend were taking place..

Nancy was a mother, described by loved ones as fiercely protective of her son and determined to build a stable life away from the chaos of the wrestling world.

Her son, Daniel, was just seven years old— his life should’ve been school days, playing out with friends, and the safety of being completely loved and looked after.

Instead, their absence would become part of one of the most discussed tragedies in modern wrestling history.

In March 2021, a single seemingly normal journey, was about to take a terrifying turn. What began as a simple walk home would spark nationwide outrage, shatter a sense of public safety, and cause debates still ongoing to this day.

Today, we retrace the final movements, and ultimately the tragic death, of a young woman whose name would become known across the world.. for all the wrong reasons.

There are some cases that refuse to stay buried— Scott Peterson had his death sentence overturned and has stated 'new evidence' has come to light.

Does this change anything with his murder conviction? Is an innocent man behind bars? Or are we still certain he killed his wife Laci Peterson and their unborn son?

Scott Peterson wasn’t about to go quietly. The question is, what is this new evidence? Does everything we thought we knew still hold up when it’s examined again under a harsher light?

At first, nothing about Christina Harris’s death made sense. Something about the way she was found just felt unexplained.

But sometimes the truth in a case like this doesn’t arrive in a confession or a courtroom revelation. Sometimes, it’s something far smaller.. something overlooked.. something sitting quietly in the most ordinary place in the house - the fridge.

The apartment was locked. Outside, snow was falling across Philadelphia. Inside, 27-year-old Ellen Greenberg lay dead on her kitchen floor.

She had 20 stab wounds to her body. What happened next would spark a debate that has lasted more than a decade. Investigators changed their conclusions, forensic experts disagreed, and Ellen's parents began a relentless fight to uncover the truth.

What really happened to Ellen Greenberg? Was this a tragic suicide, or does one of America's most baffling death investigations still have crucial questions left unanswered?

A hundred miles an hour. No skid marks. No attempt to brake.

In the early hours of a summer morning in Strongsville, Ohio, a car carrying three young people slammed into a brick building with devastating force.

At first, people assumed it was a tragic accident. But as investigators dug deeper into the wreckage, examined phone records, and uncovered the turbulent relationship at the middle of the case, a far darker picture began to emerge.

was this a catastrophic mistake... or cold blooded murder?

She was 19 years old, ambitious, bright, and stepping into what should have been the beginning of her life. But after a first date on a spring evening in Milwaukee, Sade Robinson vanished without a trace.

She left behind a trail of disturbing clues that would unravel into one of the most horrifying murder investigations the city had seen in years..

On a warm Sunday morning in rural Ballarat, a mum of three laced up her running shoes, and stepped outside for what should have been a normal run. And then vanished without a trace.

She knew the bushland like the back of her hand. So how the hell did she fall off the face of the earth?

The trail abruptly ended, and the mystery gripped Australia. This is the chilling case of Samantha Murphy.

In Apple Valley in 2010, 4 people suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth. This kind of thing was unheard of in this small community.

And when police discovered a house soaked in blood, time started ticking.

A race against the clock.. track down the man responsible, and find the victims.. alive.. or dead.

What could be more terrifying in a small town than 3 members of a family completely vanishing off the face of the earth? How about when the neighbour vanishes too..

Four missing people, a house soaked in blood, drag marks along the floor.. and an eerie CCTV clip..

In Apple Valley in 2010 it was a race against the clock.. track down whoever was responsible for this terrifying quadruple disappearance, and find the victims.. alive.. or dead.

It’s been 7 years since Paige Coffey vanished without a trace.

The Bratenahl Police Department told us.. ‘Paige could be sitting on a sunny beach somewhere for all we know’

But now, a tragic update. Her remains have been found..

Lets dive back in to the unsettling case of Paige Coffey

26th April 1986 started as a normal quiet evening in the town of Pripyat, in the Soviet Union. Families settled themselves into bed, having no idea that a silent deadly poison would soon fill their city. As they closed their eyes that night they never expected to wake to a catastrophic horror. The worst nuclear disaster in the history of the world.

Up and down the country, thousands of children have sleepovers every single day. Some stay with friends, some with family. But what happens when instead of going home, they vanish? Into thin air..

In the case of Tia Sharp, her mum said it was almost like she walked out the door and fell down a hole. But she was about to learn the truth was far, far more disturbing than that. More disturbing than anyone could EVER have imagined.

It’s supposed to be a place of thrills, laughter, and unforgettable memories. But in summer 2015, an afternoon at Alton Towers, turned into a living nightmare.

One rollercoaster - The Smiler - came to a catastrophic halt and what followed was one of the most serious roller coaster accidents in UK history.

It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime - a solo adventure across the world. About to turn 22, Grace Millane had her whole life ahead of her. But what began as a night out in Auckland, would end in silence. A missing persons report, and a journey cut brutally short.

Morgan Metzer slipped away early from the New Year's Eve celebrations.

She wasn’t in the mood to celebrate - it had been a tough year.

She would happily trade the noise of fireworks for the quiet comfort of her own bed.

The night should’ve ended peacefully. But she had no idea of the terror that was about to unfold, right there in her home.

A figure dressed in black was watching.. and waiting.

She vanished without a trace… leaving behind a series of messages that painted a picture of fear, confusion, and someone clearly in distress. In the hours before she disappeared, something wasn’t right. She was asking for help, running from something, or someone. And when her body was finally found, the question wasn’t just what happened to Gaia Pope… but who or what had she been so afraid of?

She became one of the most talked-about faces on TV — the centre of a show built on shock, secrecy, and a twist that left viewers stunned. But when the cameras stopped rolling, things got even darker.

Years later, her story would end in circumstances so disturbing that people still question what really happened. This is the haunting story of the rise and fall of a beautiful reality star whose fame came at the ultimate price.

It started out as a simple psychological study..

What would happen if a bunch of students played prisons?

But The Stanford Prison experiment spiralled so far out of control that the stories are still told to this day in lecture halls.. over 50 years on.

The experiment posed the question.. are we really all capable of evil? In certain circumstances.. how far are we willing to go?

It looked like an ordinary house in an ordinary neighbourhood. But at the bottom of the staircase, was a body. A man facedown at the bottom of his stairs. A huge pool of blood and one looming question - accident or murder? This is the unsettling case of Kevin Davis

Las Vegas is the home of nightlife. Bright lights, big city. It'ss the city that never sleeps. But what happens when the dream turns into a living nightmare? What if someone was watching you.. waiting.. to strike when you least expected. This is the terrifying case of Shauna Tiaffay

A missing persons report.. an empty house.. and the smell of bleach. It doesn’t sound promising. But in cases like these, police need to go off more than just a hunch. What do you do when EVERYTHING is pointing to one suspect.. but they’re denying doing anything wrong?

This is the mysterious case of Lorraine Garcia.

The first clue wasn’t a scream. It wasn’t a missing persons report. It was a black bin bag.
In the early hours of the morning in Camden, a grim discovery was made.  And in that moment, an ordinary London street became the centre of one of the most disturbing murder investigations the city had seen in decades.

This is the case of the Camden ripper.

Imagine a place so vast and empty that anything could disappear there.
In the 1960s, children did. Buried in the vast open space.. their stories destined to haunt the UK forever.
This is the disturbing story of the Moors Murders.

Part 2 of 2. In April 1993 at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, a violent spark ignited. And what followed was one of the bloodiest prison sieges in American History.

She was a young woman with her whole life ahead of her. Bright, friendly, ambitious. But something changed. After a short stint working on a cruise ship, Hollie Gazzard seemed a totally different girl. She was withdrawn, unhappy, and gradually drifting further from her loved ones. They wouldn’t find out the truth until it was far, far too late.

Carol and Stephen Baxter were the perfect neighbours, living in the perfect neighbourhood. So when they were found dead in their home, no-one could figure out why. Theories started spreading like wildfire. But when investigators started to peel back the layers, the truth was like a Russian doll. The more they found out, the more startling the situation became.

This is the chilling case of The Millionaire Murders.

It was meant to be a wholesome trip for thanksgiving —time with family, and a fun adventure thrown in.

A quick descent into an exciting labyrinth of caves. But deep inside Nutty Putty Cave, one wrong turn changed everything.

This is the case of John Jones.

In 2017, a journalist stepped onto a homemade submarine, expecting an interview… and never came back.

“We’re either going to go into history as the greatest heroes or the greatest criminals. And I’m gonna bet it’s the criminals.” A direct quote from Kim’s killer. A haunting foreshadowing of a story so disturbing, it was almost unbelievable.

It was August, 2018 in the quiet suburb of Frederick, Colorado. The kind of place where nothing bad ever seemed to happen. To the outside world, The Watts family seemed to have it all - a stunning house, a great marriage, and two adorable little girls. But something unthinkable was about to happen. A real life nightmare.

This is the case of The Watts Family Tragedy

It looked like a typical suburban neighbourhood in Florida.

But beneath the surface, tension had been simmering for years.

Complaints and confrontations had plagued the locals - turning a row of homes into a battleground. And horrifically, on a warm summer evening in 2023 it cost one woman her life.

What followed was outrage, devastation and a nationwide debate about self-defence and race, in one of Florida’s most polarising murder cases.

On a quiet night in Durham, North Carolina, a mother was found brutally stabbed in her home while her infant son slept nearby. The police were stumped.. was this a random home invasion? Was the husband to blame? Or was something equally as sinister at play here..

This was one of those cases that the community feared would remain cold forever.

But what if the missing piece of evidence was there the whole time… and no one had noticed? Sometimes all it takes is a fresh pair of eyes..

Part 2 of 2.

It's a survival story that truly defies belief. A young boy snatched, bundled into a car and held captive for SEVEN agonising years.

His escape was one of the biggest stories that California had ever seen. Until it wasn't.

What unfolded within the Stayner family is almost so far fetched you’d think it was fiction. But it wasn’t. This case is a story of survival, trauma, and secrets NOONE saw coming.
