| We Thought They Were Pirates! The Real Dangers of Sailing Around the World | 20 oct. 2026 | 00:16:01 | |
How dangerous is it really to sail around the world? Are pirates something sailors should actually worry about?
While sailing through Indonesia, we stopped at a tiny, remote atoll hundreds of miles from civilization. Just as we were preparing to leave, a wooden boat carrying six men headed straight toward us. With only me and two women aboard, we had no idea what they wanted. What happened next was something I'll never forget!
In this episode of The Bobby White Podcast, I share the incredible story of that encounter, complete with original footage, and discuss the real dangers of piracy while cruising.
I also share the terrifying story of a father and son who were attacked and robbed aboard their catamaran in Brazil, discuss the tragic murder of an American sailing couple in the Caribbean, and give my thoughts on dangerous cruising destinations and whether carrying a gun aboard is a good idea.
Is sailing around the world actually dangerous, or is the fear of pirates mostly overblown?

| I Was a Flydubai Pilot… Here's What Went Wrong | 17 oct. 2026 | 00:22:24 | |
I was one of the very first pilots hired by Flydubai back in 2009, and I was there for the airline's very first passenger flight. But after a little over a year flying the Boeing 737 for them, I decided to leave.
Following the recent shocking incident involving a Flydubai first officer, I'm sharing my firsthand experience working for the airline, the problems I saw with management and scheduling, and my concerns about pilot hiring standards and background checks.
I'll also discuss the major differences between American and international pilot training, why I prefer certain airlines when I travel, and why I believe AI and automation could make the traditional airline pilot career obsolete much sooner than people think.
As a former airline and corporate pilot, I've got some strong opinions about where aviation is headed.
| 4 Years Flying Private Jets in Africa — Bribes, Guns and Gaddafi | 12 oct. 2026 | 00:40:20 | |
Before YouTube, I spent four years living in Nigeria and flying a Gulfstream III all over Africa for a wealthy businessman.
In this episode, I tell some of my favorite stories from that time — living in Maiduguri and Abuja, dealing with police bribes, flying across Africa, mechanical problems in the middle of nowhere, bird strikes, armed guards, and some very unusual passengers and destinations.
I also tell the story of flying the Prime Minister of Somalia to Libya and unexpectedly finding Muammar Gaddafi waiting for us on the ramp.
It was one of the strangest, most interesting chapters of my flying career.
| Why I’m Selling My 56-Foot Sailboat | 04 oct. 2026 | 00:30:34 | |
It probably looks like my 56-foot CT56 is falling apart, but there’s more to the story. After sitting on the hard unattended for over a year, I’m compressing a year’s worth of maintenance into just a few weeks.
In this episode, I break down what’s gone wrong, what I’ve fixed, what still needs to be done, and why I’ve decided it’s time to sell Nauti Dogs. I’m ready for something different — a smaller motor yacht for cruising Florida, the Bahamas, and maybe the Great Loop.

| Aerosmith Never Knew Their Private Jet Had a Serious Problem | 29 sept. 2026 | 00:17:55 | |
Before Sailing Doodles, I spent years flying Gulfstream private jets around the world, and for about six to eight months I was one of the primary copilots flying Aerosmith on tour.
Most nights we'd watch the show, leave halfway through to get the jet ready, then fly the band to their next city as soon as they came off stage.
But one night, flying Aerosmith home to Boston, I noticed something strange in the cockpit. One of our fuel temperature gauges was climbing rapidly—and eventually pegged at 110°C.
There was no warning light. No alarm. And Aerosmith had no idea anything was wrong.
In this episode, I tell the story of what it was really like flying Aerosmith on tour, what happened that night, and how we got them safely home without the band ever knowing there was a problem.
| What's Really Happening with my Electric Catamaran? | 29 sept. 2026 | 00:36:26 | |
In this episode I’m answering your questions about what’s happening with my electric catamaran, whether I’m keeping it, selling it, or moving back to diesel.
| I Flew Snoop Dogg… Then Customs Brought the Drug Dogs | 21 sept. 2026 | 00:14:01 | |
Back in 2004, I was a young Gulfstream III copilot flying celebrities around the world—and one of our regular passengers was Snoop Dogg.
On one particular trip, our company was bringing Snoop and his entourage home from Brazil. I joined the trip in Brownsville, Texas, where the airplane had to clear U.S. Customs and Immigration before continuing on to California.
Customs knew who was coming, and they were ready. Officers met the airplane with a drug dog and thoroughly searched the jet. They even tested the dog during the inspection. Nothing was found, everyone cleared Customs, and we departed for California.
Then, shortly after takeoff, I smelled something coming from the back of the airplane that sure smelled like marijuana.
To this day, I have no idea what actually happened. I never saw anyone with marijuana, didn't know of anything being aboard, and don't know whether what I smelled had ever been on the international flight. But after watching that Customs inspection firsthand, I remember sitting in the cockpit thinking, “How the hell is this possible?”
In this episode, I tell the full story, along with what it was like being a young charter pilot flying Snoop Dogg and other celebrities during one of the wildest periods of my aviation career—and why I'm glad smartphones weren't around back then.
| Superyacht Ownership Explained by an Actual Owner | 15 sept. 2026 | 00:44:13 | |
What is it actually like to own a superyacht?
I sit down with my friend Bob, who has owned yachts ranging from 65 feet all the way up to 165 feet, to get an inside look at the reality of superyacht ownership.
We talk about what these boats really cost to buy and operate, hiring and managing crew, maintenance, scheduling, fuel, marinas, itineraries, and all the logistics that come with owning a yacht of this size.
If you’ve ever dreamed about owning a superyacht—or just wondered how the ultra-wealthy actually manage these massive boats—Bob gives a candid look at everything that goes on behind the scenes.
From a 65-foot yacht to a 165-foot superyacht, how much does the experience really change, and at what point does owning a yacht become more like running a business?

| Burning Man Is Getting Older, More Expensive… and Losing Money | 03 sept. 2026 | 00:23:07 | |
I’m recording this episode from the roof of my RV in the middle of Black Rock City at Burning Man 2026.
Burning Man has grown from a small gathering on a San Francisco beach into a temporary city of more than 70,000 people in the Nevada desert. But after decades of explosive growth, something is changing.
Tickets that once sold out almost instantly are now easier to get. The average Burner is getting older, fewer people in their 20s are attending, and the cost of participating continues to climb. At the same time, the nonprofit organization behind Burning Man reported a loss of more than $10 million in 2024.
In this episode, I look at the history of Burning Man, how it became what it is today, and some of my own experiences attending the event. Then we dig into the numbers: attendance, ticket prices, demographics, rising production costs, and Burning Man Project's finances.
So is Burning Man actually dying? Has it simply become too expensive for a younger generation? Or is this just the natural evolution of an event that's been around for 40 years?
And most importantly—what does Burning Man actually feel like in 2026?

| He Climbed Everest, Sailed Around the World & Conquered the Northwest Passage | 25 août 2026 | 01:29:43 | |
In this episode, I sit down with Gabriel, whose list of adventures is almost hard to believe.
Most recently, he completed the legendary Northwest Passage aboard a 48-foot steel-hull trawler, navigating some of the most remote and challenging waters on Earth.
But that’s only one chapter of his story.
He has also circumnavigated the globe on a 48-foot sailboat, climbed Mount Everest, completed the Seven Summits, and swam the English Channel.
We spend nearly an hour and a half talking about what it actually takes to attempt adventures like these—the preparation, the danger, the moments when things go wrong, and some incredible stories from places very few people ever get to experience.
We talk about sailing through the Arctic, climbing the highest mountains on every continent, crossing oceans, swimming the English Channel, and what keeps someone searching for the next big adventure after already accomplishing so much.
This is a different style of episode for the podcast, and one I’ve been wanting to do more of: sitting down with interesting people who have lived extraordinary lives and letting them tell the stories themselves.
Enjoy the conversation.

| RV Life vs Boat Life — Which Is Actually Better? | 19 août 2026 | 00:27:01 | |
I’ve spent years living and traveling on boats, but lately I’ve been back on the road in the RV — and it got me thinking: which lifestyle is actually better?
In this podcast, I compare RV life vs boat life from someone who has lived both. We talk about the cost, maintenance, freedom, comfort, travel, adventure, social life, living with dogs, and all the little things that make each lifestyle amazing — and frustrating.
RV life is definitely easier in a lot of ways, but does boat life offer something you just can’t get on land?
And the bigger question… could I ever give up boat life for RV life?
Let me know in the comments: if you could choose only one, would you live on an RV or a boat?
| There Are No New Frontiers Left | 02 août 2026 | 00:19:33 | |
For most of human history, people who felt trapped by their circumstances could leave everything behind and head toward a new frontier. They could escape their social class, family reputation, past failures, or limited opportunities and try to build something entirely new.
But do those kinds of fresh starts still exist?
In this episode, I explore why starting over may be harder today than it was for previous generations, why fewer people are willing to risk everything, and whether the world has simply run out of places where your past does not define your future.
I also share a story from my own family history about an ancestor who, according to the story passed down through my family, was the thirteenth son of an English lord. With little chance of inheriting anything, he left England for the New World to build a life of his own.
We discuss the influence of the frontier on American ambition and entrepreneurship, the uncomfortable truth that these lands were never actually empty, and whether technology, space, artificial intelligence, international living, and online businesses have become the new frontiers.
Maybe there are no truly undiscovered places left. But perhaps the biggest frontier has always been the decision to walk away from the life you were given and attempt to create a different one.

| Will Nika Be Coming Back? | 01 août 2026 | 00:35:30 | |
In this Ask Me Anything podcast, I answer some of the questions patrons and viewers have been asking most.
I start with Nika—whether she’ll be joining me again, how we got along, and what might be next. I also share the scariest experience I’ve ever had at sea: the night my old boat nearly caught fire and sank near Cape Hatteras. I included clips from the original video and explain what happened from my perspective.
I also give an update on my health, future cruising plans, the Great Loop, the Great Lakes, Maverick, and several other questions submitted by viewers.
There are a few major questions about Maverick and my discussions with Island Spirit that I’m not ready to answer publicly yet. I did answer them fully in the uncut patron version of this podcast.

The full 40-minute documentary about the Cape Hatteras incident is also available as a pay-per-view video on my website.

| My New Yacht Has Some Problems—Here’s the Full Story | 27 juil. 2026 | 00:19:13 | |
Owning a brand-new hybrid-electric yacht has been exciting—but it has also come with a much steeper learning curve than expected.
In this podcast, I give an honest update on my first few weeks aboard the Island Spirit 525e. I walk through the technical issues we’ve experienced so far, including repeated generator faults, problems within the drive-battery system, charging limitations, and some of the other complications that have interrupted our cruising through Thailand.
I explain what happened, what the technicians and builder have done to investigate the problems, and why the generator and battery systems are so important on a yacht designed around electric propulsion.
This isn’t meant to attack anyone or declare the entire concept a failure. New boats often have issues, and this yacht uses relatively new and complex technology. I simply want to be transparent with the audience about the good, the bad, and the decisions still ahead.
Do we continue improving the hybrid system, make major changes, or consider a more conventional setup? At this point, I’m keeping an open mind.

| What Kind of Boat Should I Buy Next? | 21 juil. 2026 | 00:20:27 | |
I’m back with the second half of my patron Q&A, and this time we’re talking about what kind of boat I should buy for my next adventure.
Would a diesel Sea Ray-style express cruiser work for Florida, the Keys, the Bahamas, and potentially farther into the Caribbean? Or would I be better off with a trawler, a traditional motor yacht, or something designed for longer-range cruising? I discuss the features, size, speed, dinghy setup, and practical limitations I would consider before buying.
I also answer questions about whether I would collaborate with high-performance powerboat channels, meeting up with other content creators while traveling, and how Cougar and Merlin react to the constant stream of new people joining the boat.
Thanks to everyone who submitted questions. Let me know what boat you think would make the best next chapter for Sailing Doodles.

| I Was Wrong... Here's the Better Plan | 17 juil. 2026 | 00:25:29 | |
A few weeks ago I shared an idea that I thought could completely change the way people experience luxury sailing.
Then I asked for your feedback.
Hundreds of comments later—and one incredibly detailed blog from a viewer—I realized I had made some major mistakes.
In this episode I explain what I got wrong, why the original model probably wouldn't work, and the new direction I'm considering. We dive into whole-boat memberships vs. cabin memberships, pricing, charter economics, premium weeks, refundable deposits, and how this idea might actually become a real business.
I still don't know if this will ever happen, but it's already a much better idea because of your feedback.
As always, I'd love to hear what you think. Would you join something like this? What would you change?

| Why Does My Crew Keep Leaving? | 15 juil. 2026 | 00:38:11 | |
In this patron Q&A podcast, I answer some of the most common—and most interesting—questions viewers have been asking.
I talk about what happened with recent crew members, how I find people to join the boat, the couple who were supposed to launch a Sailing Doodles spin-off channel, whether I’m in a relationship, my changing thoughts about Thailand, plans for the new catamaran, the Mediterranean, the flotilla, and whether I’m seriously considering buying a motor yacht and doing the Great Loop.
I also tell a disturbing offshore story about a friend who hired a delivery captain to sail his yacht from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean. In the middle of the Atlantic, the captain suffered a serious mental-health crisis and threatened to jump overboard. My friend had to change course and divert the yacht to the Azores so the captain could safely get ashore and receive help.
It raises an important question: what do you do when someone panics, becomes unstable, or simply cannot handle being at sea—with nowhere nearby to get off the boat?
Thanks to all the patrons and viewers who submitted questions.

| I'm Buying YOU a Yacht? | 13 juil. 2026 | 00:21:27 | |
What if there was a better way to own a luxury yacht?
I've been working on a business idea that I honestly can't decide is brilliant... or completely crazy.
Imagine having access to a $1.4 million sailing catamaran that cruises the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Thailand and beyond, without having to buy the whole boat yourself.
In this episode I walk through the concept, the numbers, the challenges, and the biggest objections I've already heard. Most importantly, I want YOUR feedback.
Would you join something like this? What would make you say yes... and what would make you run away?
Leave your thoughts in the comments. Your feedback may completely change this idea.

| Getting a Motor Yacht Instead? | 08 juil. 2026 | 00:21:38 | |
In this episode, I talk through a big realization about the future of Sailing Doodles: because of location, weather, and cruising seasons, I may only be able to film on my new catamaran about four months a year.
That creates a real problem. If I want to keep making consistent boat content, I may need a second boat.
So I’m thinking about buying a smaller motor yacht to keep in Florida and use for cruising the Bahamas, and maybe even doing parts of the Great Loop. I go through the different types of boats I’m considering, what makes sense for the channel, what fits the budget, diesel vs gas, speed vs efficiency, and whether a motor yacht could be the right move for the next chapter.
Is this a smart backup plan, or am I just trying to talk myself into buying another boat?
| Stop Waiting Until You’re Ready | 24 juin 2026 | 00:19:55 | |
Most people have a dream.
Maybe it’s sailing around the world, building a cabin in the mountains, starting a farm, opening a business, moving overseas, or just walking away from a life that looks successful on paper but doesn’t actually make you happy.
But most people never do it. Not because the dream is impossible, but because they keep waiting until they’re ready.
In this episode, I talk about why I believe you have to set a date, prepare as best you can, and then go. My dream was sailing around the world on a yacht, but this isn’t just about sailing. It’s about risk, freedom, time, work, and the trap of waiting for the perfect moment.
I also talk about leaving a good career, the idea of “no risk, no reward,” why doing nothing is also a risk, and why chasing the dream might not work out exactly how you planned — but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth doing.
You can always get another job. You can’t always get another life.

| The Questions I’ve Been Avoiding… Health, Olivia & What Happens Next | 22 juin 2026 | 00:32:03 | |
In this episode, I’m answering your questions from Patreon, YouTube members, and the Sailing Doodles app.
We start with the big one: my recent health scare, the blood clots and thrombosis, whether it could be connected to my past stroke, how medical care has been overseas, and what recovery might look like from here.
Then we get into the questions everyone always wants answered: What’s going on with Olivia? Is she coming back to the boat? What happened with the Brazilian girl? Will Chloe or Sailing Miss Lone Star return?
I also talk about the dogs, the future of the new Island Spirit 525e, what the delivery crew thought of the boat, the electrical and solar questions, the damaged old hull, possible cruising plans, the Med, the Pacific, RV travel, Burning Man, and what’s next for Sailing Doodles.
Thanks for all the questions, support, and well wishes. It has been a strange and stressful chapter, but I’m doing my best to stay positive and figure out the path forward.

| Is This the End of Sailing Doodles As I Know It? | 19 juin 2026 | 00:17:09 | |
After a big health scare, I’ve had to ask myself some hard questions about the future of Sailing Doodles.
I just bought my dream yacht, but now I’m dealing with blood clots and thrombosis in major abdominal veins, and I still don’t have all the answers about what caused it or what the long-term prognosis looks like. For a while, there was even concern it could be cancer, which thankfully seems to have been ruled out.
In this episode, I talk honestly about what this could mean for my future: whether I can keep sailing long term, what happens to the new yacht if my health changes, whether I’d sell the boat, hire crew, slow down, or pivot the channel completely. I also talk about what retirement might actually look like, whether I regret buying the boat right before this happened, and what happens to the dogs, the crew, the travel plans, and Sailing Doodles as a whole.
This one is personal. I don’t have all the answers yet, but this scare has definitely changed how I think about life, health, travel, and the future of the channel.
Thanks for watching and for all the support.

| My Health Scare: Cancer Fears, Blood Clots, and What Happens Next | 16 juin 2026 | 00:19:49 | |
In this episode, I talk about the medical issue that suddenly interrupted my life and my plans for Sailing Doodles.
It started with abdominal pain that I thought might be something minor, but after hospital visits, scans, and more tests, doctors found inflammation around my pancreas and blood clots in the portal vein. For a short time, there was a real fear that it could be pancreatic cancer, which was obviously terrifying.
Right now, I’m still waiting on a proper diagnosis. It could be something autoimmune, it could be related to pancreatitis, or it could be something else entirely. I’m on blood thinners, getting more testing done, and trying to understand what this means for my future.
I also talk about what this could mean for Sailing Doodles, cruising plans, the new boat, and how something like this makes you rethink everything pretty quickly.
This is a more personal episode, but I wanted to be honest about where things stand and what I’m dealing with.

| I Really Don’t Want To Do This | 28 mai 2026 | 00:17:07 | |
After years of delays, setbacks, and finally taking delivery of my new Island Spirit 525e… I’ve run into another problem.
Because of Thailand’s import and customs rules, I now have to sail the boat roughly 72 hours to Malaysia, clear customs, and then sail all the way back to Thailand just so the yacht can legally return as a tourist vessel.
It’s expensive, time consuming, exhausting… and honestly pretty frustrating after everything it took to finally get this boat in the water.
In this episode of the Sailing Doodles Podcast, I break down:
Why I have to leave Thailand
The confusing customs/import situation
My planned route to Malaysia
The risks of an offshore passage this soon
Costs, timing, and logistics
What this means for the future of the boat
Owning a yacht overseas definitely isn’t always as glamorous as it looks online.

| The Truth About My New Electric Catamaran | 25 mai 2026 | 00:32:45 | |
After years of planning, delays, factory visits, and a whole lot of frustration, my new Island Spirit 525e electric catamaran is finally in the water — and sailing.
In this episode, I talk through the last few crazy weeks of the build: inspecting the boat at the factory, the Buddhist blessing ceremony, the nerve-racking truck move to the marina, launching the yacht, and finally taking her out for the first sail and sea trial.
I’ll share what went right, what still needs work, what surprised me most about the boat’s performance, and whether this electric catamaran project is turning out the way I hoped.

| Is Electric Sailing Finally Safe? Lithium, Lightning & My 210 kWh Catamaran | 07 mai 2026 | 00:40:02 | |
Electric boats are no longer some far-off future idea — they’re here, and my new Island Spirit 525e is a perfect example. With a 210 kWh battery bank, two 65 kW electric motors, and around 80 nautical miles of electric range at 6 knots, this is a serious electric propulsion system.
In this episode, I talk about the safety side of modern electric boats: lithium batteries, battery monitoring, cooling systems, electric propulsion, installation quality, and why today’s systems are much safer than they were just a few years ago.
I also get into one of the biggest fears on any modern sailboat: lightning. A lightning strike can cause massive damage, destroy electronics, and create electrical gremlins that last for years. That’s why I installed the CMCE Sertec lightning prevention system on my boat. I explain how it works, why I think lightning protection is essential on a modern electric catamaran, and why protecting all these electronics and batteries matters more than ever.
We’ll also talk about maintenance, reliability, generator backup, energy management, and what life is really like with a modern lithium and electric propulsion system onboard.
Topics in this episode:
Lithium battery safety on boats
Electric propulsion systems
Battery monitoring and cooling
Lightning protection
CMCE Sertec system
Generator backup
Marine electronics
Electric sailing catamarans
Island Spirit 525e
Modern boat reliability
Big takeaway: electric boats are not scary when they’re done right — what’s scary is powerful technology installed casually.

| Dating in Paradise Is Harder Than You Think | 07 mai 2026 | 00:34:50 | |
Dating while sailing around tropical islands sounds like it should be easy… but the reality is a lot more complicated.
When you live on a boat and cruise full-time, you are constantly moving from one place to the next. You are rarely in one place long enough to casually date, and most cruising destinations are full of couples, families, honeymooners, and retired cruisers — not single people looking to date.
Then add YouTube into the mix.
In this episode, I talk about what it is really like trying to date while living on a boat, traveling internationally, filming my life for YouTube, and dealing with the audience speculation that comes with every new woman who appears on the channel.
We talk about dating apps, meeting people in cruising destinations, why relationships can move so fast on a boat, the difference between crew and dating, privacy, jealousy, and how hard it can be to know whether someone is interested in you, the travel, the lifestyle, or the camera.
Dating in paradise is not always what people think.

| The Bahamas Raised Fees Too Far… Now They’re Reversing Course | 13 avr. 2026 | 00:15:16 | |
The Bahamas pushed cruising fees too far in 2025, and the boating industry says the fallout was immediate: fewer boats, weaker marina occupancy, and millions in lost economic activity across the islands.
As of April 1, 2026, they’ve changed the system again. I’m breaking down the new official fee structure, comparing it to the old one, and showing what it means for a typical cruising boat heading to the Bahamas today.

It’s a fun, honest episode where you really get to know her beyond what you see in the videos…
But we also share some important news.
Chloe will be leaving Sailing Doodles for now to head home and take care of some medical things. We talk about what’s going on, what this means moving forward, and what’s next.

| This Scares Me… AI Might Replace Creators Sooner Than We Think | 14 mars 2026 | 00:21:32 | |
For years I assumed I had another 5–10 years as a content creator before technology really started disrupting things. After seeing how fast AI video is advancing… I’m not so sure anymore.
AI can now generate voices, scripts, music, and even realistic video scenes. I recently watched several AI-generated reels and videos that honestly fooled me at first. And the scary part is this technology is improving incredibly fast.
In this episode I talk about:
• AI-generated videos that fooled me
• How fast AI video is improving
• Why creators might actually lose this battle
• How AI could flood YouTube with unlimited content
• Whether real creators will still be able to make a living
Even if people prefer real creators, the amount of AI content coming could make it almost impossible to compete.
But there may still be one thing AI can’t replicate…
real life experiences.
So is this the end of creators, or just the next evolution of content creation?

Ever wondered how hard it is to move pets internationally?
visit AE Pets https://www.aepetsgo.com
In this episode of The Sailing Doodles Podcast, I break down exactly what it took to move my two dogs from the United States all the way to Thailand. There are a lot more steps involved than most people realize — health certificates, government approvals, airline regulations, quarantine rules, and more.
To help explain the process, I sit down with James from AE Pets International, the company that handled the logistics of transporting my dogs. We talk about how international pet shipping works, what pet owners need to know before moving abroad, and how professionals coordinate everything from paperwork to flights to make sure pets arrive safely.
If you’re planning to travel or relocate overseas with your pets, this episode will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the process and how to make it much easier.
Topics we cover:
• The paperwork required to ship pets internationally
• Health certificates and vaccination requirements
• Airline cargo vs passenger transport
• What happens when pets land in a new country
• Common mistakes pet owners make
• How pet shipping companies simplify the process
Whether you're moving abroad, sailing around the world, or just curious about how pets travel internationally, this episode will walk you through everything.

| Why I Bought an Electric Catamaran (And What Could Go Wrong) | 21 févr. 2026 | 00:29:30 | |
In this episode of The Sailing Doodles Podcast, I dive into one of the biggest decisions I’ve ever made… going all-electric with the new catamaran.
Why did I choose an electric propulsion system?
How does it compare to boats like Fountaine Pajot’s electric cats?
What are the real risks — lightning, reliability, long-term maintenance?
And what spares and tools will I be carrying to prepare for worst-case scenarios?
Then we pivot into your most asked personal questions…
– Will there be rotating crew in Thailand?
– What’s happening with Flying Doodles and Emma?
– Can I get my pilot’s license back?
– Does Chloe ever get tired of keeping her real name private?
– And yes… how dating works when you’re constantly moving.
We also talk YouTube growth “experts,” long-term life plans, the Bronco, and my favorite episode I’ve ever created.
Big changes ahead. Let’s get into it.

In this Ask Me Anything episode, I answer the question everyone keeps asking…
Who is actually coming with me to Thailand to pick up the new boat?
There’s been a lot of speculation about crew, plans, and what’s happening next — so I finally address it. I also talk about:
Whether Chloe is joining me
Lauryn?
Thailand flotilla details
What I actually have planned once I get there
The current status of the boat raffle
RV updates and the Camping World situation
Craziest sailing mistakes I’ve ever seen
And how to get hired on a sailboat
Big year ahead. New boat. New adventures. Possibly new crew.

In this update, I share where the build is at, what’s left to finish, and why this moment feels different than anything before. After months (and years) of planning, I’ll be flying to Thailand next month to finally step onboard and start the next chapter.
I know a lot of you have been following this journey from the beginning, and I can honestly say… I’m just as excited (and nervous) as you are.

| Why Most Sailing YouTube Channels Fail After 2 Years (And Why It’s Harder Now) | 26 janv. 2026 | 00:23:29 | |
Sailing YouTube looks easier than ever — bigger audiences, better cameras, more success stories.
But the reality? It’s harder now than when I started, and most sailing channels don’t even make it past year two.
In this episode, I break down why channels really fail — not because they can’t sail, but because they run out of money, burn out, struggle with people, or misunderstand how YouTube actually works today.
I talk honestly about how long it took me to break even, living on beans and rice, dealing with burnout that never really goes away, why subscribers matter less than they used to, and why AI might be the biggest challenge creators face next.
This isn’t meant to discourage anyone — it’s meant to prepare you.
If you’re thinking about starting a sailing channel, or you’ve wondered why so many disappear, this episode is for you.

In this podcast, I answer one of the biggest questions I’ve been getting lately: who’s coming with me to Thailand on the new boat?
We talk about the new boat timeline, potential crew lineup, and what this next chapter of Sailing Doodles is really going to look—both on and off camera. I also address questions about Chloe, future appearances, and how I handle bringing new people into the videos while balancing privacy, reality, and the internet’s opinions.
We also dive into:
Who may be joining the boat in February
How crew decisions actually get made
Viewer questions about drones, sailing, and life on the water
What changes (and what stays the same) with the new boat
Big changes ahead—this episode gives you the real story.
| RV Nightmare UPDATE: How Camping World Stepped Up & Made It Right | 11 janv. 2026 | 00:12:52 | |
A month or so ago, I shared a podcast about the nightmare I was dealing with on my RV — and at the time, I hadn’t even gotten to the worst part yet: needing a full engine overhaul.
In this episode, I give a full update on everything that happened afterward, how the situation evolved, and how Camping World ultimately stepped up and made things right.
It was a long, stressful process, but in the end they took care of the problem, made me whole, and even got me into a newer and better RV.
I believe in being fair and transparent — good or bad — and this episode is about how things actually turned out and why I’m satisfied with the resolution.
If you’re an RV owner, considering buying one, or just curious how these situations really get handled behind the scenes, this update is worth listening to.
| My Thoughts on the Greg Biffle Crash | 24 déc. 2025 | 00:18:43 | |
In this episode, I share my personal thoughts on the tragic aviation accident involving Greg Biffle and his family. I had the opportunity to meet Greg and his wife Kristina about a year and a half ago at Spanish Cay Yacht Club, and they were incredibly kind, welcoming people. This is not an episode about speculation or assigning blame, but rather about acknowledging the human loss, explaining what is currently known, and offering perspective on how unforgiving aviation emergencies can be—especially shortly after takeoff and in marginal weather conditions. Investigations by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are ongoing, and it will be many months before definitive answers are available. My thoughts and condolences are with everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

| Everything You Think About Sailing Is Wrong | 07 déc. 2025 | 00:23:14 | |
Ever wondered what sailing is really like?
After years living aboard, crossing oceans, rescuing boats, breaking boats, and teaching new crews how to sail, I’ve heard every sailing myth in the book… and today we’re busting the big ones.
In this episode, we break down the 12 most common (and most misleading!) sailing myths that stop people from getting on the water — including the truth about boat costs, storms, sharks, catamaran safety, anchoring, YouTube crew life, and whether you actually need experience before buying a boat.
Whether you’re dreaming of cruising, already sailing, or just love the lifestyle, this podcast will give you a real-world look at what sailing is actually like… the good, the bad, and the hilarious.

What this means for the new boat build
And what’s next for the channel
Thank you to everyone who supported me during this ordeal — the comments, messages, and patience meant more than you know. Time to move forward and get back to sailing!

| Sailors Invented Half Our Language?! | 28 nov. 2025 | 00:35:20 | |
Ever wonder where everyday expressions like “three sheets to the wind,” “overboard,” “the bitter end,” or even “windfall” actually came from?
Turns out, tons of common words in English were invented by sailors, pirates, and old-school sea captains, and today we still use them without even thinking about it.
In this episode of the Sailing Doodles Podcast, I break down over 80 everyday words and sayings that all started on ships — from naval terms, pirate slang, emergency commands, rigging language, and old maritime traditions. Some of these are obvious… but most of them will absolutely blow your mind!
If you enjoy sailing, history, language, or just fun trivia, this is a super entertaining deep dive into how much of modern English came from life at sea.

| Stop Wasting Money on These Boat Fixes! | 13 nov. 2025 | 00:15:08 | |
What upgrades are actually worth the money on an older sailboat… and which ones you should avoid?
In this episode of The Sailing Doodles Podcast, I break down the most valuable upgrades I’ve done across all the boats I’ve owned — from my classic CT-56 to the newer catamarans and charter boats we’ve sailed.
I cover which improvements truly make your boat safer, easier to sail, and more enjoyable… and which “fancy” upgrades usually end up being a waste of money. If you’re shopping for an older cruising boat or planning a refit, this episode will save you thousands.
Topics Covered
Why buying a boat already upgraded is often cheaper
Rigging, sails, and critical safety upgrades
Ground tackle & anchoring systems worth investing in
Autopilots, instruments & navigation upgrades
Electrical systems, lithium, solar & charging
Refrigeration: why it’s usually a later priority
Comfort upgrades: electric winches, watermakers & more
What to skip… and what will absolutely transform your cruising

| Drove Off the Lot — and the RV Broke Down Immediately! | 04 nov. 2025 | 00:08:05 | |
I just bought a brand-new RV… and it didn’t even make it off the lot before breaking down. Within minutes, the engine started smoking and I quickly realized the EGR cooler had failed, dumping coolant straight into the exhaust.
In this episode of The Sailing Doodles Podcast, I talk about what happened, how I diagnosed the issue, and what comes next. The dealer says they’ll cover the repair — but we’ll see what really happens.
I’ll share what I’ve learned from years of owning boats, planes, and RVs about mechanical failures, warranty claims, and how to handle breakdowns the smart way.
Topics:
How to spot EGR cooler failure symptoms
What happens when coolant enters the exhaust
Towing and dealer negotiations
Lessons learned when buying new rigs

| Avoiding Disaster: The Truth About Hurricane Season for Sailors | 01 nov. 2025 | 00:19:02 | |
In this episode, I dive into how sailors and cruisers deal with one of the biggest threats on the ocean — hurricanes.
Fifty years ago, crossing an ocean meant hoping you didn’t run into a storm. There was no internet, no satellite tracking, and little warning. Today, we carry a weather computer in our pocket, with live hurricane data, Starlink connectivity, and routing tools that can literally save lives.
We’ll talk about:
How hurricane forecasting has changed in just a few decades
The role of Starlink and modern weather apps at sea
What the “hurricane box” is — and why insurance won’t cover you inside it
How cruisers migrate north and south each year to stay safe
Where sailors ride out storms (the famous “hurricane holes”)
The truth about insurance loopholes and “named storm” clauses
Real stories, lessons learned, and what it’s like to live with hurricane season as a full-time cruiser
If you’ve ever wondered how modern sailors dodge hurricanes — or how it was done before the digital age — this episode will blow your mind.

| Dead Diver, Lost Cocaine, and the Australian Superyacht Scandal | 29 oct. 2025 | 00:14:09 | |
A Queensland superyacht agent was offered $300,000 for a “simple” job — help two divers enter Australia. Days later, one diver was dead, another had vanished, and 100 kilos of cocaine were floating in Newcastle Harbor.
In this episode, Captain Bobby White of The Sailing Doodles Podcast breaks down the true story of James Blake Blee — how financial desperation led to a deadly smuggling plot, what “parasite smuggling” really is, and why this growing underwater drug tactic is spreading around the world.
All details sourced from court reports, News.com.au, ABC Australia, and VICE News investigations.

| Yacht RAID in the Bahamas! Guns, Cash & Chaos | 28 oct. 2025 | 00:13:36 | |
A U.S.-flagged motor yacht was raided by Bahamian authorities in Bimini after a tip-off — and what they found shocked everyone. Ten people were arrested, including the crew, and officers seized a cache of weapons, ammunition, and cash.
In this episode, Captain Bobby White of Sailing Doodles breaks down the facts, shows footage from the local news, takes a look at the yacht’s charter listing, and shares his honest opinions about carrying weapons onboard and the risks every cruiser faces when crossing borders.
I’m not a lawyer — this is my perspective as a captain who’s checked in at Bimini many times. Always verify local laws before you travel.
