Tone Vays and Jimmy Song continue their series of interviews examining the current tensions between Bitcoin Knots and Bitcoin Core.

Because Tone is only releasing this series as streaming video on X and YouTube, "The Bitcoin Game" podcast feed was revived to host this interview series for people who prefer a low-bandwidth audio podcast to consume this long-form content.

This is Part 6 of the series, this time featuring Giacomo Zucco. The interview was recorded on November 13, 2025, in a side room at the Bitcoin Historico event in El Salvador.

The Bitcoin Game #72: eToro's Guy Hirsch28 Nov 201900:16:20

Welcome to episode 72 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. This episode came about in an unexpected way. I had the opportunity to speak with Guy Hirsch (USA Managing Director for eToro) at the CIS conference in Los Angeles. My plan was to grab some sound bites from Guy to use in podcast episodes as part of eToro's sponsorship. But I'm such a curious person that I couldn't help but ask a bunch of genuine questions I had about the platform. Turned out, the brief interview was interesting and informative enough that I decided to release it as a stand-alone episode. So, if you've wondered about eToro after seeing them practically everywhere in the crypto space (not to mention the snazzy eToro commercial with Alec Baldwin), this episode will get you up to speed!

The Bitcoin Game #71: Brian Lockhart25 Oct 201901:05:31

Welcome to episode 71 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell.

I met Brian Lockhart while having lunch at Bitcoin 2019 this summer. Brian recently joined the team at Casa, which happened to have just released details on the Node 2. So this seemed like the perfect time to have Brian as a guest.

I learned a lot from Brian, including how Bitcoin got on his radar (hint: it's the tech), his five-year Bitcoin Rip Van Winkle experience, and the Casa Node 2. We even review some recently highlighted security trade-offs with the Node, as well as my own case of Lightning fever.

If you've ever wanted to know more about Brian Lockhart or the Casa Node, this episode is for you!

The Bitcoin Game #69: Doug Scribner's Smart ATM05 Aug 201900:32:31

Welcome to episode 69 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. I attended Bitcoin 2019 in June and recorded a bunch of great interviews. But only one interview was with someone I kind of knew, and that was Doug Scribner. He's been in the scene a long time, and recalls buying Bitcoin at Porcfest from Charlie Shrem, Erik Voorhees, and Roger Ver. His first major project, WatchMyBit, was a bit ahead of its time (pun unintended). Now he's focused on Vault Logic, a multi-purpose, Bitcoin-capable, "Smart ATM" hardware and software platform.

The Bitcoin Game #68: Paul Sztorc18 Jul 201901:35:53

Welcome to episode 68 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. I introduced myself to Paul Sztorc at Bitcoin 2019and asked him if he'd be up for an interview. I was thrilled that he gave me an unqualified "yes." This ended up being, by far, my longest interview of the conference, and I appreciate that Paul was willing to hang out with me for a big chunk of the second day of the event. I really feel like I got to know Paul in this longest episode I've released in awhile. Hope you enjoy it!

The Bitcoin Game #66: Jeremy Rubin02 Jul 201900:59:49

Welcome to episode 66 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. My second interview at the recent Bitcoin 2019 conference in San Francisco was with Jeremy Rubin, a fascinating guy who has contributed a ton to Bitcoin. We review Jeremy's background, discuss his current project (a BIP intended to aid with scaling pressures), and we revisit his controversial idea of a Bitcoin reorg in the wake of the recent Binance hack. And a lot more! Jeremy provides some pretty compelling content; I bet you'll enjoy this interview.

The Bitcoin Game #65: Jimmy Song29 Jun 201900:37:31

Welcome to episode 65 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell, and I just got back from the Bitcoin 2019 conference in San Francisco. I'm really glad I decided to attend after taking a long break from conferences, as I had a great time and got some really good interviews. I'm going to release them in the order I recorded them, so up first is Jimmy Song.

Oh, I also want listener feedback. This interview is unedited, whereas my typical episodes are heavily edited, with the goal of delivering the most listenable and content-dense experience possible. And I really love editing out dumb things I say! But all that editing takes a lot of time, and it really reduces the amount of content I release. Just comment on this episode's show notes page, or I'm theBTCgame on Twitter. I've got some cool Bitcoin stuff to give away to a few people who give me feedback, in case you need additional incentive.

The Bitcoin Game #64: Farbood Nivi of Coinmine15 Jun 201901:01:29

The other day, an interesting post crossed my path on "Crypto Twitter." This guy was super excited about receiving his Coinmine, a device I was not familiar with. It appeared to be a plug-and-play multi-purpose GPU miner and Bitcoin/Lightning Network full node. And it looked pretty. I was intrigued. I started investigating the product, and quickly discovered that Coinminer's headquarters is right here in Los Angeles. And that's how my interview with Farbood Nivi, CEO and co-founder of Coinmine, was conceived.

I hadn't really considered multi-purpose devices such as a Coinmine, which currently can mine Ethereum, Monero, Zcash and Grin. It's not hard to imagine that future incarnations of this product could bring full Bitcoin/Lightning nodes and speculative Cryptocurrency mining to many new mainstream people who are willing to pay a premium for this level of simplicity. Could cloud-controlled plug-and-play devices theoretically give a centralized party too much control over a lot of miners? Please comment below if you have thoughts!

After arranging this interview, Coinmine offered me a $50 discount for listeners, which can be claimed using the discount code BitcoinGame at checkout, or going to this URL: https://coinmine.com/bitcoingame. The Bitcoin Game will receive a referral fee for purchases using this code, however, that did not influence the content of this episode. Before purchasing, please consider electricity usage in addition to the cost of the miner itself, and note that Bitcoin and Lightning Network features are not active yet.

This is Part 4 of the series, featuring Bitcoin Core contributor Murch. The interview was recorded on November 7, 2025.

The Bitcoin Game #60: Dr. Adam Back Part 2 - Liquid04 Nov 201801:11:04

Welcome to episode 60 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. I'm happy to bring to you part two of my interview with Cypherpunk and CEO of Blockstream, Dr. Adam Back. In this episode, we take a deep dive into Liquid, Blockstream's new federated sidechain. There's a lot more to Liquid than I realized, and it's fascinating to hear tons of details about the protocol. I lead us astray with some of my questions, but Dr. Back never fails to drop tons of crypto-knowledge.

And if you missed the first part of my interview, give episode 59 a listen to hear a great Cypherpunk history lesson.

The Bitcoin Game #58: Jennifer Zhu Scott12 Sep 201800:52:44

Welcome to episode 58 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. In January of this year, I saw lots of talk about the World Economic Forum's speeches and panels in Davos. Even Donald Trump spoke at this event. But the panel I was most interested in was called The Crypto Asset Bubble, and it featured Nobel Prize Laureate Robert Shiller. I didn't know any of the other panelists, but the one who stuck out to me the most was Jennifer Zhu Scott. She seemed very pro-Bitcoin and was a very eloquent speaker. I wondered why I'd never heard of her before. I immediately invited Jen to be a guest on my podcast, and we finally connected just a bit ago, thanks to Twitter. We cover many topics including the World Economic Forum, her favorite project, China, and her involvement in the hit HBO series, Silicon Valley.

The Bitcoin Game #57: BCH Lead Dev Amaury Séchet02 Aug 201801:10:45

Welcome to episode 57 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. I'm someone who feels a bit like a Bitcoin Maximalist, yet I still really wanted to learn about Amaury Séchet, lead developer of Bitcoin Cash (EDIT: note it's been pointed out that Amaury is the lead dev of Bitcoin ABC, the main client used for BCH, but he isn't technically the lead dev for BCH - apologies for the inaccurate wording). I like that many of Amaury's opinions seem fairly independent, rather than sticking to a party line. In this long-form interview, we talk about Amaury's initial interest in Bitcoin, why he started Bitcoin ABC, the software behind Bitcoin Cash, and what he saw as three critical mistakes he believed would prevent a big block fork from becoming the majority chain at launch. So BCH haters, put down the pitchforks for a second and give this a listen to better understand the French Bitcoiner known as Deadalnix.

The Bitcoin Game #56: Paper Wallet Inventor Peter Kroll04 Jul 201801:08:58

Welcome to episode 56 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. I met Peter Kroll at a Bitcoin conference about a year ago. When I asked Peter what his involvement was with Bitcoin, he told me he created the original Bitcoin paper wallet at BitAddress.org. I was pretty impressed, having used his tool often! Peter had kept it a secret that he was behind BitAddress.org until late 2014, and even since then, he's kept a pretty low profile. We cover a ton of topics in this exclusive interview, including Peter's introduction to Bitcoin, his paper wallet system, Bitcoin's division, and much more.

The Bitcoin Game #54: The Current State of Cryptocurrency Panel from SODM1816 May 201800:56:53

Welcome to episode 54 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. Back in 2015, I had been waiting and waiting for a Bitcoin conference to be held here in Los Angeles. I finally gave up and booked a trip to the 2015 Texas Bitcoin Conference. Of course, shortly after making arrangements to go to Austin, LA's first Bitcoin conference, The State of Digital Money, was announced. 2018 marks the third year I've participated in SODM, this time moderating a diverse panel of guests speaking on the broad topic of The Current State of Cryptocurrency.

I'll be giving away a Bitcoin Keychain to someone who comments on this show notes page! The winner can opt to receive a Counterparty token, redeemable for a Bitcoin keychain.

Bitcoin Knots vs Core v30: Part 3 with Tone Vays, Jimmy Song, and Bob Burnett11 Nov 202501:33:02

Tone Vays came out of retirement as a content creator to host a new series of interviews focusing on the current tensions between Bitcoin Knots and Bitcoin Core. Together with Jimmy Song, he is speaking with a wide range of well-known Bitcoiners on all sides of the debate to help users understand what is at stake.

Since Tone didn't set up an audio RSS feed for this series, and a lot of people prefer a low-bandwidth podcast over streaming video on YouTube or X, I brought this podcast feed out of retirement to make the audio easily available.

This is Part 3 of the series, featuring Bob Burnett of Barefoot Mining.

The Bitcoin Game #52: Mike In Space28 Feb 201800:40:53

Hello, welcome to episode 52 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. This episode I speak with Mike In Space, longtime creator of Bitcoin memes, and more recently, the host of the comedy series, Bitcoin Car Talk. I've never heard Mike interviewed, so I thought it would be fun to learn a bit more about him. I enjoy Mike's unique sense of humor enough that you'll hear me laugh just hearing his voice at the beginning of our conversation.

The Bitcoin Game #51: Jonas Schnelli, The Bitcoin Core Project Explained13 Nov 201700:50:28

Hello, welcome to episode 51 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. Since my last episode, we've seen the Bitcoin 2X fork called off, and just when it seemed everyone could relax for five minutes, the Bitcoin Cash fork went on a full scale blitz. Bitcoin never disappoints in providing interesting times.

In October, the Los Angeles Bitcoin Meetup featured a talk with Bitcoin Core developer Jonas Schnelli. Jonas gave a presentation called The Bitcoin Core project explained: What is Bitcoin Core and who is behind it. I learned a lot, hope you do too.

The Bitcoin Game #50: Jeremy Allaire06 Oct 201700:55:44

Hello, welcome to episode 50 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. This episode also marks three years since I started this podcast.

Back in 2013, when I was first getting into Bitcoin, Jeremy Allaire's interest in the space was a big validation of Bitcoin's importance as a disruptive technology. So I was pretty excited when Brian Cohen introduced me to Jeremy to arrange this interview. In today's podcast, you'll hear Jeremy talk about his early days exploring the Internet, then building companies based on innovative content delivery tools, and eventually, his decision to create Circle, a payment company built on Bitcoin. Jeremy also talks about his brand new open-source project, CENTRE.

How many billions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency did Circle trade in August? Listen and find out!

After moderating a Bitcoin scaling panel at the State Of Digital Money in Los Angeles, I followed up by arranging back-to-back interviews with Ryan X. Charles and Eric Lombrozo. I wanted to dig a bit deeper into some issues around scaling and Bitcoin forks. Last episode was my interview with Ryan, and now the yin to Ryan's yang, Eric Lombrozo.

The Bitcoin Game #48: Digging Deeper (Part One) - Ryan X. Charles22 Aug 201700:44:45

Hello, welcome to episode 48 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell.

In episode 47 you heard the Bitcoin Scaling panel I moderated at the State Of Digital Money in Los Angeles. While I loved being part of that panel, I really didn't get to ask many questions. The time allotted to that panel went by so quickly that I really wanted more! So, I was able to arrange interviews with Ryan X. Charles and Eric Lombrozo to dig a bit deeper into some issues around scaling and Bitcoin forks. In this episode I talk to Ryan; you'll hear Eric in episode 49.

The Bitcoin Game #47: Scaling Bitcoin with Paul Puey, Tone Vays, Ryan X. Charles, and Eric Lombrozo03 Aug 201701:13:15

Hello, welcome to episode 47 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. We recently had the State Of Digital Money, the first big Bitcoin conference in Los Angeles since 2015. Actually, I'm unsure if I should call it a Bitcoin conference, since the majority of the presentations were not directly related to Bitcoin. Luckily for me, I got to moderate a panel on scaling Bitcoin with notable Bitcoiners: Core developer Eric Lombrozo, longtime Bitcoin developer Ryan X. Charles, vocal trader and personality Tone Vays, and Airbitz Wallet's Paul Puey. You'll hear the discussion in its entirety on this episode.

The Bitcoin Game #46: Jameson Lopp - The Benefits of Coopetition in Adversarial Environments08 Jul 201700:45:15

Hello, welcome to episode 46 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. In these times of uncertainty and division, Bitcoin could use some fence menders. Especially if they have technical chops and experience in the space. Jameson Lopp is just that kind of person. This episode contains his entire talk from The Future Of Bitcoin, the recent Bitcoin conference held in Arnhem, The Netherlands. The conference audio includes an extended intro from me as the MC of this event, and you'll hear just a bit of my perspective.

Keep scrolling down for an embedded YouTube video of Jameson's talk, photos from the event, and more. Note I received that shirt at a meetup, I am not associated with BitPay beyond being a user.

Post a comment on this page and you'll be entered to win a free Bitcoin keychain! You're welcome to ask me questions about the event, but please listen to the episode first (or watch the embedded video).

The Bitcoin Game #45: Pamela Morgan, Crypto Estate Planning & Key Management06 Jun 201701:19:11

Hello, welcome to episode 45 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. Sometimes it's pretty cool being a Bitcoin podcaster. For instance, I was really curious about estate planning in terms of cryptocurrency and key management. So I reached out to expert Pamela Morgan, and she agreed to come on the show. Pamela has a law practice called Empowered Law, and she's the CEO of Third Key Solutions. If you've pondered about best practices in key management and estate planning, please give this a listen. You might want to ask your lawyer to listen, too!

Bitcoin Knots vs Core v30: Part 2 with Tone Vays, Jimmy Song, Luke Dashjr, and BitcoinMechanic10 Nov 202502:14:03

This is Part 2 of the series, featuring Luke Dashjr and BitcoinMechanic. The interview was recorded on October 17, 2025.

The Bitcoin Game #41 - Charlie Shrem14 Jan 201700:31:28

Hello, welcome to episode 41 of The Bitcoin Game.I'm Rob Mitchell, and my guest today is Charlie Shrem.

When I got into Bitcoin, the two ways I was most familiar with to buy Bitcoin were to wire money to Mt. Gox in Japan, or go to the local 7-Eleven to send cash to BitInstant. It's not hard to see why BitInstant became one of the biggest Bitcoin companies in the U.S., until it stopped doing business in 2013.

Charlie Shrem was BitInstant's CEO and Co-Founder, he was very active in the community, and I would guess most Bitcoiners see him as someone who took one for the team. Charlie served a two-year sentence for activities related to money laundering, lack of proper licensing, and not filing suspicious activity reports. Of course, many feel he was doing nothing morally wrong, and some argue the legal case wasn't that strong. Surely his prison sentence was an early warning shot to those running Bitcoin businesses.

Now that Charlie Shrem has served his time, he's become active in the community again. In today's episode, Charlie and I discuss his early days in Bitcoin, BitInstant, his new Mainstreet.ky venture, Steemit.com, the People's Bank of China's effect on Bitcoin, and more.

The Bitcoin Game #40: 2016 Year End Special!30 Dec 201600:47:57

My name is Rob Mitchell, and it's hard to believe this is my 40th episode of The Bitcoin Game. I was a fan of Let's Talk Bitcoinfrom day one, since it launched right after I got into Bitcoin. I reached out to Adam B. Levine early on, and worked with the LTB Network in various capacities. During that time, I recorded a number of interviews that weren't quite publishable, for one reason or another. But after attending a Bitcoin Job Fair, I eventually collected enough solid content to release my first episode of The Bitcoin Game on October 15, 2014. A bit under 20 episodes per year isn't so bad, is it?

Regular listeners are aware that my releases have been less frequent in 2016. So I felt extra pressure to do something special for my year-end, 40th episode. I sent messages to over 100 cryptocurrency enthusiasts, inviting them to record a holiday or new year greeting. I made suggestions, such as reviewing 2016 or making predictions for 2017, but I tried to make it open-ended. I ended up with submissions from 26 people who in some cases represent very divergent viewpoints. It's a jam packed, ad-free show; I hope you enjoy!

Oh, before I forget…

I want to propose that on January 3rd, the 8th anniversary of Bitcoin's genesis block, every cryptocurrency aficionado take a day to chill on the arguing, so we get a sense of what it's like to be a huge, cohesive group. Can you go so far as to find someone you typically take issue with, and compliment them on something you genuinely value about that person? I'm just asking for one day a year. Who's with me?

The Bitcoin Game #39: Roger Ver05 Sep 201600:37:55

Hello, welcome to episode 39 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell.

Odds are, if you are into Bitcoin, then you know Roger Ver, a.k.a. Bitcoin Jesus. And you possibly are aware that Roger is a huge proponent of increasing Bitcoin's maximum block size as soon as possible. But he's not just talking about it, he's taking action, as you'll hear.

Roger is certainly a doer, and besides all the Bitcoin companies Roger is involved with, he's done things like donate over $150,000 to Ross Ulbrect's legal defense fund, and offer $250,000 to the charity of Bernie Sanders' choosing, in exchange for debating Adam Kokesh (for the ultimate socialist vs. voluntaryist debate). Aside from hearing Roger's take on scaling Bitcoin, we cover a number of subjects, including how much Roger earned from his first Steemit post (it's a lot!). Roger even lets us in on his Bitcoin gut check a few weeks ago, when he sold some of his Bitcoin and bought a prominent privacy-oriented cryptocurrency (listen to find out which one). It was a real treat to have him on the show.

Stay tuned to the very end of the podcast for a blessing from Bitcoin Jesus.

The Bitcoin Game #38: Rodolfo Novak of Coinkite & Opendime21 Aug 201600:51:08

Hello, welcome to episode 38 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell.

It's always great interviewing a knowledgeable person who's not afraid to give an opinion, and Rodolfo Novak is that sort of guest. In this interview, we discuss Coinkite's early days, which started with a Blockchain explorer, custom Bitcoin payment terminals, a widely-used wallet hosting service, and a backend that utilizes hardware security modules of Coinkite's own design. And now, with Opendime, they've moved on to a fascinating new type of Bitcoin hardware that's best use cases are still to be determined.

Rodolfo was also happy to give his opinions on the $70 million Bitfinex theft, the Ethereum fork, the scaling debate, and more. Note that Coinkite's co-founder and CTO is Peter D. Gray (and Peter Todd serves as an advisor to Coinkite).

The Bitcoin Game #37: Back In The Saddle With Christopher Camp15 Jul 201600:31:26

Hello, welcome to episode 37 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell.

Everyone has a unique story. When I started this podcast, I really wanted to talk to Bitcoiners who hadn't been exposed in Bitcoin media. There are a couple of really interesting local Bitcoin traders I've tried to interview, but surprisingly, sometimes it's easier to get a Bitcoin core developer on the show, than many of the lesser-known people who also have Bitcoin-centric lives.

I met Christopher Camp at my first Bitcoin meetup, but I'd only spoken to him for a few minutes. Now, over three years later, I finally got to sit down with Chris and find out a bit more about him and his interest in Bitcoin. Christoper started an organization called Restart Democracy, he worked for Coinbase, and he currently works for Blockchain.info. For perspective, this was recorded a few weeks ago, before the halving, and when the price of Bitcoin was on a strong upward trajectory, breaching 52-week highs.

The Bitcoin Game #36: The Ethereum Perspective With Arthur Falls25 Mar 201600:37:14

Hello, welcome to episode 36 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell.

I have to admit, as cool as Ethereum has always sounded to me, I haven't kept up on it. Then, earlier this month, the market cap of Ether surpassed one billion dollars, about a sixth of Bitcoin's market cap. The price has come down a bit since then, but seeing the high valuation made me realize I'd better get caught up on Ethereum, now that it's the second biggest cryptocurrency. And who better to help me than Ethereum's golden-voiced Podcaster, Arthur Falls.

The Bitcoin Game #34: Bitcoin Core Dev Peter Todd18 Feb 201601:02:51

Hello, welcome to episode 34 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell, and my guest is Bitcoin Core developer Peter Todd.

Peter was really open in this interview, and we talked about everything from his relationship with Gavin Andresen, to mistakes he made in his early days working with Bitcoin Core, and a dozen topics in between. A lot of Peter's focus was on explaining what he feels are the differences between Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Classic, and why he believes Core is the path to follow at this juncture. Additionally, we touch on Peter's Coinbase double-spend, perceived issues with Replace By Fee, and private blockchains.

BITCOIN HISTORIC PRICE LOOKUP

Sometimes I'm doing accounting and I wish there was a quick tool to help look up the U.S. dollar value of a past Bitcoin transaction. So I asked Joe Looney to build it for me, and I'm sharing this tool with listeners. Nothing amazing here, it just looks up a historic Bitcoin price (in USD) then multiplies that rate by the Bitcoin amount you enter. Please let me know if you have any feedback on this price lookup tool.

Bitcoin Knots vs Core v30: Part 1 with Tone Vays, Adam Back, and Jimmy Song10 Nov 202502:56:50

This is Part 1 of the series, featuring Adam Back. The interview was recorded on October 16, 2025.

The Bitcoin Game 33 - Hacker J. Maurice (Wiz)05 Feb 201600:39:02

Hello, welcome to episode 33 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell.

J. Maurice is everything you'd expect in a crypto-anarchist hacker. When I had lunch with him before our interview, Maurice kept his phone powered off and explained he wouldn't use a credit card, except maybe to pay for already-tracked air travel. After our meal, he used his Trezor to sign a Bitcoin payment on his laptop, via the cafe's Wi-Fi. There's nothing in particular Maurice is trying to hide, he simply wants to live his life free from surveillance of his location and financial activities.

Also known as Wiz, J. Maurice was part of the WizSec team that performed an in-depth analysis of the Bitcoins missing from Mt. Gox. He's also been called Roger Ver's go-to guy when it comes to personal defense from hackers. Maurice has many financial clients too, but as they often turn to him after they've experienced a breach, this work is usually confidential. While Maurice calls Tokyo home, I spoke to him in Los Angeles, as he was just finishing a project here.

The Bitcoin Game 32 - Brock Pierce12 Jan 201601:01:23

Hello, welcome to episode 32 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell.

Today's interview is with Brock Pierce, chairman of the board of The Bitcoin Foundation, and a highly-accomplished VC in digital currency. Brock got involved in digital token entrepreneurship at a very young age, with a focus on gaming, an activity he excelled at. As he reached his mid-twenties, Brock's companies were doing $100,000,000 in business. By the time Bitcoin was released, Brock had become a veteran in the business of digital currency. Brock was primed to recognize the innovation that Bitcoin introduced, and he quickly became one of the most involved venture capitalists in the Bitcoin space. The first half of this episode focuses on Brock's background.

In the second half of my interview, I ask Brock to speak about various aspects of the Bitcoin Foundation, which has faced its share of criticism in the past several years.

The Bitcoin Game 31 - Bitcoin Micropayments Action With Vallerian - Bennett20 Dec 201500:55:32

Hello, welcome to episode 31 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell.

I used to run into Valerian Bennett frequently at Los Angeles Bitcoin Meetups in 2014. I thought he'd disappeared from the Bitcoin scene, only to realize how wrong I was. Valerian has taken his experience in mainstream television production, and combined it with his passion for Bitcoin, to create several online Bitcoin video services, with his partner, payment channels developer James Poole. I hope you enjoy our discussion.

The Bitcoin Game 30 - The Biggest Blockchain Company You've Never Heard Of17 Nov 201500:40:14

Hello, welcome to episode 30 of The Bitcoin Game. I'm Rob Mitchell.

What's the oldest blockchain company you can think of? What if I told you a Blockchain company in Estonia called Guardtime was founded before the Bitcoin white paper was released? And what if I told you they are now a highly profitable company, doing large amounts of business with government, the world's largest defense contractor, and a multinational communication technology company?

I only found out about Guardtime, thanks to Bitcoin journalist Brian Cohen. I was blown away as I learned about the company, because it appears my understanding of the landscape and history of blockchain technology had been flawed.

I immediately requested an interview, and Guardtime's founder and CEO Mike Gault responded promptly. We set up an interview with Jamie Steiner, Guardtime's director of business development. I hope you enjoy this interview.
