Zinda Blake is on a mission to bring some sort of final justice to Killer Shark, who is carrying out the legacy his grandfather started, which is quite horrific. Also, Black Alice is in town. Is it room for both she and Misfit? Yes. A whole-hearted yes. Write to us at wrightonnetwork@gmail.com
| Episode 73: Web of Lies | 22 Feb 2018 | 01:34:38 | |
Batgirl and the Birds of Prey, written by Julie Benson and Shawna Benson, are embarking on perhaps the last story arc by these two writers. Mark, Sarah, and Ashford discuss this intense story arc opener. Batgirl has hacked into the Calculator's computer system, extracting his database to prevent crimes before they happen. Although Barbara is trying to do the greater good, perhaps she is placing her loved ones in harms way.
| Episode 72: Blind Spot | 12 Feb 2018 | 01:20:07 | |
The final contribution to the Bruce Wayne Murder crossover by the Birds of Prey...well, for Feathers and Foes: A Birds of Prey podcast. Oracle is so close to proving that Bruce is innocent, and Black Canary may have to get her Marty McFly on with Doctor Orenstein. Yes, he is back. Tachyon Particles! In addition, Death Stroke has returned, so it definitely isn't safe any more. Protect Your Neck!!!!

| Episode 71: Karen's Story | 06 Feb 2018 | 01:23:03 | |
Finally, we have reached the issue where we get to discuss the backstory of why Power Girl has had beef with The Oracle. Yep, we are interrupting the Bruce Wayne Fugitive saga with this back story between the early days of Barbara Gordon and Power Girl. Yes, before there was Oracle and Black Canary, this could have been the team; however, with plans sinking like a ship, these two have never been the same.
| |||
| Episode 70: Batgirl and the Birds of Prey in Paris!! | 01 Feb 2018 | 00:59:37 | |
Yes, the Birds are in Paris, but this is not a love story. Well, actually...this is a love story between the reader and creators. This is a rocking story, Batgirl and the Birds of Prey 18 is. We have Spyral, Paris, future tech, a connection with other books in the DCU, and the Birds of Prey! When Huntress is propositioned a case in Paris from Tiger, a player in the Spyral organization, which Huntress used to be apart of before joining the BOP, she recruits the Birds of Prey to come along. As it happens, Barbara Gordon was in route to the City of Lights for a Tech Talk, and we all know Black Canary is down for whatever, so how can we not love this bottle issue? HAP-E, we are! | Episode 69: Felony Matters | 24 Dec 2017 | 01:09:29
The Saga Continues with this whole Bruce Wayne being accused of murder, and now he is on the run. Displaying loyalty, and ensuring that justice is done, Barbara Gordon is still on the case. She commissions Black Canary to rob a bank in broad daylight, which Black Canary obliges, for she is also displaying loyalty to The Oracle.
| |||
| Episode 68: Manslaughter 3 - Patient Zero | 16 Dec 2017 | 01:17:36 | |
Julie and Shawna Benson are back with the finale of this 3-Part Story Arc with Roge Antonio on pencils. The Daughters of Gotham are not playing around with the males in Batgirl's city. As convincing as the D.O.G. are with their sales pitch, Batgirl and the Extended Birds of Prey are not buying. What do you think about the finale and the story arc as a whole? This is the last story of the year. Did it end the year with a bang? Ashford believes that this is one of the most interesting villains in Gotham that needed some more story. For all intense and purposes, the Daughters of Gotham achieved their goal. Too bad the best heroes in Gotham happen to be featured in this title. Bam!!
| |||
| Episode 67: Switch Back | 06 Dec 2017 | 01:10:52 | |
Birds of Prey 40 is a second tie-end with the Bruce Wayne Murderer saga. Babs, Dinah, and Stephanie Brown are trying to solve this murky case while helping Stephanie with her personal problems at home. Even though saving Batman from the legal system and himself is a first priority, the Birds are still about helping the unforgotten, the luck ran out, the left for dead. And in the B-Plot Story line, Ted Kord is suffering from a weak heart, and not just from losing out on a chance to date Babs, but literally having cardiovascular issues. What's a Bird to do...
| Episode 66: The Gun | 27 Nov 2017 | 01:20:07 | |

Sarah, or @helenadinah on Twitter joins Ashford for this Wright On Network presents: The Justice League movie. Although both podcasters enjoyed the movie to pieces, they are still aware of the flaws and are not afraid to talk about it. What did you think of the Justice League movie? Where do you think the DCEU is going? Do you agree with the direction? As fans, do we need to fight to get the Zach Snyder cut? | Episode 65: The Next Little Thing | 20 Nov 2017 | 00:52:03
Issue 38 of Birds of Prey is half one shot/half origin story, but one thing is for certain, it is back to basics. Yes, Oracle in the chair, and Black Canary in the field. Together again...well together via comm links. New Future Tech is going down at a company that may cause terrorist like espionage, and Black Canary is there to make sure that doesn't happen. Listen to Mark and Ashford thoughts about the issue that is the dawn before the Batman Murderer crossover, which we are really excited about to tell you the truth. Sorry, I didn't want to end the sentence with about. Like I did right there. You know, ending sentences with prepositions and the like. I'm rambling. | Episode 64: Crisis Mode | 16 Nov 2017 | 01:33:18
The Benson sisters have something to say with the Manslaughter story arc. Ripped right out of today's headlines, the themes and issues covered in this book are relevant to all the scandals going on in the media. As much as we want to be entertained by our entertainment, there are times where entertainment has a responsibility to comment on the social issues of today, yesterday, and tomorrow. The Daughters of Gotham, a terrorist organization, primed and ready to rid Gotham of the adult male population are ready to do whatever it takes by any means necessary to accomplish their goals. Can the Birds and Company stop this organization in time? Tell us what you think about issue 16. What are you predicting will happen in the next issue? feathersandfoes@gmail.com Donate to the show at www.patreon.com/wrightonnetwork

| Episode 63: Manslaughter Part 1 - Quarantine | 06 Nov 2017 | 00:53:32 | |
"Never met a wise man/if so it's a woman" Kurt Kobain shouted that lyric on the song Territorial Pissing. The wise women of Gotham and beyond must find a cure fast in order to save the men of Gotham. The Benson sisters, Shawna and Julie, craft an excellent beginning opener, sprinkled with guest stars, suspense, and mystery. Roge Antonio created some great scenes of horror, and the reveal at the end, which is spoiled by the cover, but is still bad "behind", is worth the price of admission. Please e-mail us at feathersandfoes@gmail.com We would like to hear from you. If you would like to contribute to the show, please go to www.patreon.com/wrightonnetwork.com
| Episode 62: Red, Black, and Blue | 11 Oct 2017 | 01:11:20 | |
Blue Beetle and Robin join the Birds of Prey this issue to assist with capturing the remaining criminals who not only escaped from prison, but was also Jokerized. Yep, this is kind of the aftermath of the crossover event, Joker's Last Laugh. And the other side of town, Oracle is trying to coach Dick Greyson, who is still ashamed of himself and brooding because he attempted to murder the Joker. Mark and Ashford really enjoyed this one. Guys, the Condiment King is in this one...and he is not playing around with the Birds and Gotham.

| Episode 61: City Limits | 23 Sep 2017 | 01:22:32 | |
Helena, Black Canary, and a group of high school kids are on a bus. Destination: Out of City Limits. Yep, this sponsored school trip is taking this motley crew to a site where the students can learn more about their hometown's history. Hopefully, nothing in the woods will make these present day school children history. Meanwhile we have Barbara Gordon playing dual roles as Oracle and Batgirl. Special guests are invited in this issue as well. So get your ingredients for smores, weenies, and sleeping bags, for ghost stories around the campfire are what's up for Batgirl and the Birds of Prey 14. e-mail us at feathersandfoes@gmail.com Click the link below to read the Wizard Con article about the effects of how the current hurricanes affect local comic book stores. http://wizardworld.com/wizard/how-your-local-comic-shop-survives-a-hurricane If you would like to donate to the show, please visit the site: www.patreon.com/wrightonnetwork

| Episode 60: Caged Canary | 04 Sep 2017 | 01:10:13 | |
Ride the Snake! This is the best part of the trip. This is the trip, the best part. Sorry, Jim Morrison said that...I couldn't help myself. Black Canary is on the run in the slab! Yep, a penitentiary that is holding the crazy of the crazies, and I am not using the term lightly. Some of this comes off as a dream sequence. Black Canary is able to display her cunning, athletic prowess, martial arts, and leading lady ability all in this one book. Join us as we discuss Chuck Dixon's Caged Canary.
We mentioned that my cousin, who is a wonderful artist named David Anderson, has a Go Fund Me Account. Search Harvey Relief for David, or David Anderson He just wants to create art again. | Episode 59: Source Code Finale | 24 Aug 2017 | 01:16:04
Black Canary, Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and The Huntress are all in this action packed story by Julie and Shawna Benson. There is a lot of buzz going around about corporate greed, and Poison Ivy is seeing green with anger. Can the Birds talk her out of making an irreversible decision? Will Gus be able to break free from Calculator's blackmail?
| Episode 58: The Shout | 07 Aug 2017 | 01:14:33 | |
Finally, the conclusion of The Big Romance between Black Canary and Ra's Al Ghul. You heard right. Chuck Dixon chose to have Black Canary leave one wonky romance with a pre-Columbian explorer to getting back to the present and falling for the Demon. Only Dinah, right? This issue has a "No Take Back" that you are not going to forget. Joining Feathers and Foes this time around is Ryan Daly of the Power of Fishnets podcast over on the Fire and Water Podcast Network. | Episode 57: Heart Breaker | 02 Aug 2017 | 01:06:01
Black Canary and Ra's Al Ghul's relationship is coming to an end, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, this may be curtains for our hero, The Black Canary, unless Oracle and crew can come to the rescue. Desperate measures will be the only option to save Dinah, and you are not going to believe what the solution is until you read this issue. You are going to want to hear this one for sure.

| Episode 56: Source Code 2 Vial Not Found | 17 Jul 2017 | 01:26:41 | |
Batgirl and the Birds of Prey 12, moves the story right along with guest appearance from Selina Kyle...Catwoman. Calculator has gotten himself in too deep, and now his family are being held hostage at Terracare, a company claiming to be eco-friendly. Although they are not keen on helping out former foe the Calculator, the Birds agree that with a mother and children involved, they must lend their service to saving innocents.
Catwoman stole something from the vaults of Terracare that has lead to the kidnapping. The Birds are a little hesitant about contacting Catwoman. They don't know how she might react with them telling her that she is going to have to return the jewels back to Terracare. Batgirl was right. As you can see above, Catwoman for one, didn't appreciate the ruse that Batgirl played on her, which involves the Batman, and Batgirl placing her nose in Catwoman's business. I'm totally surprised that Bruce played that game. He will answer to Selina later, I'm sure. Belle and Sebastion Link The Cartoon Ashford mentioned during the preamble.
https://www.facebook.com/saygirlsay/ Say Girl Say is the music you heard during the break. The song is called Feather People
https://www.facebook.com/saywhitnow/ Great Houston band. Female lead singer with a wonderful voice, and the band gets funky and rock out.

| Episode 55: The Courtship | 01 Jul 2017 | 01:11:58 | |
Chuck Dixon ramps the drama up in this intense, romantic story involving Black Canary and Ra's Al Ghul. And yes, Talia is not happy about the proposition her father offers to Dinah Lance. Beautiful art by Butch Guice and Gloria Vasquez, who really capture the romance and horror of this book. Mark and I are still puzzled by the characterization of Dinah, but there are so many talking points in this book that we really enjoyed discussing this story. The emotional beats displayed in the writing and art are quite masterful. Contact us at feathersandfoes@gmail.com Twitter @feathersandfoes Websites: Feathersandfoes.com or wrightonnetwork.com
| Episode 54: The Stray | 22 Jun 2017 | 00:58:25 | |
Feathers and Foes are back with another Pre New 52 adventure of Birds of Prey. This one is called the Stray. Mike McDonnell brings some interesting art to this one. Chuck Dixon kind of has me confused with the characterization of Dinah, but I'm just going to ride with it. Kind of like what Jason Bard is doing, while trying to remain alive. Ra's Al Ghul and Talia are all in this one action packed book. And I do mean action. Don't be shy. We really would like to hear from you guys. | Episode 52: The Big Romance | 08 Jun 2017 | 00:55:01
Issue 31 of Birds of Prey is one of those stories where the main characters (Oracle and Black Canary) are peripheral, and the guest, Jason Bard, is our protagonist. You know Jason Bard, he was featured in issues 1-3 of Birds of Prey. We covered those issues about a year ago exactly. Jason was Bab's fiance. This is a cool issue. We have a dated gumshoe, France, and Barbara Gordon doing her thing where she is "mad" manipulating everyone. And a special surprise ending that will make you want to read issue 32 immediately. www.wrightonnetwork.com has more of our programming. Go there for a review of the Wonder Woman movie. Sarah of the burtinelli.tumblr.com and Ashford are going to analyze the movie.
