S2 EPISODE 1 | Professor Laura Vandenberg: Could chemical exposure in the womb predispose us to diseases later in life?
Saison 2 · Épisode 1
lundi 19 mai 2025 • Durée 40:35
To kick of season 2 of the B Well Club Podcast, we’re going back to the very beginning, as Breast Cancer UK CEO Thalie Martini and Professor Laura Vandenberg (Professor of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst) discuss the long-term health implications of chemical exposure in early life. Professor Vandeberg’s research explores how small but regular doses of the Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) present in our everyday environments, both during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding, could potentially have repercussions for mothers and babies.
Professor Vandenberg explains what we mean by EDCs, delves into the dangers of “chemical cocktails”, and explains why the precautionary principle is so important when it comes to protecting ourselves and our children.
