Trepp is devastated when she finds out about the real death of her father and quits the team. Kovacs Prime convinces her to return and use her coils to delay the Angelfire that threatens to destroy Harlan’s World. Danica is convinced to broker a deal with the Elder residing in Carrera and offer her the stack of her father who she overthrew and killed in exchange for sparing the planet. Danice betrays the deal and is real deathed by the Elder. Kovacs makes the ultimate sacrifice taking on the Elder in his consciousness and using his mental strength to destroy himself and the Angelfire system. Poe reboots and returns 3 months later witha promise of gettin gback his memories and housing a DHF in his core which appears to be KOvacs who sacrficied him earlier. Trepp gets a happy ending, apparently retiring from bounty hunting, living with her wife and kid and taking over her father’s shop. Trepp gets answers about her brother Anil. She discovers he woke Quell whose stack was infected by the consciousness of an Elder. We discover the Founders killed the Elders to take their planet, and this consciousness has made a pact with Quell to kill the Founders but let the planet live. Kovacs and the team (Poe and Digg) help separate the Elder from Quell, breaking the pact and putting Harlan’s World in peril. At the end of the episode, Carrera appears to be carrying the consciousness of the Elder infected in the VR world used to separate Quell from the consciousness. Kovacs survives his fall, thankfully to survival mode tech built into his sleeve. Danica and Carrera/Jaeger face off, with Danica ultimately having him arrested for double sleeving Kovacs.  Kovacs prime learns more about Quells and his sister Rei through holographic captures of the past. Eventually a talk with Kovacs revealing Rei wanted to die persuades Kovacs prime to abandon his loyalties. The truth about Kemp’s deception is revealed, however Danica has him shot down before he could repeat his claim that he worked for her. Quells taps into a new power that saves their lives. Carrera/Jaeger uses Kovacs Prime, to track Kovacs. Kovacs Prime battles Kovacs, besting him and throwing him off a cliff. Poe investigates the Renouncers and discovers Konrad never Renounced and they were being paid to agree to the lie. Poe barely escapes using his internal glitch to infect the Renouncers system. Trepp reunites with her father who is subsequently killed by Kovacs Prime. Kovacs Prime attacks the hotel and extracts information from Dig despite a courageous effort from the AI to protect humans. Jaeger questions the technicians to find out who helped Kovacs. Danica holds a party to celebrate Founders Day and eliminates any technicians who may reveal a secret she’s hiding. Quellcrest questions who she is and continues her hunt of the Founders. Poe is fired by Kovacs and Dig is hired. Dig tries to help Poe with his issues. Poe finds an ally in another AI, a retired excavator, who agrees to help him to find some purpose. Kovacs is taken through the extraction process, which reveals to Carrera who we learn is Jaeger, that Kovacs is truly the last envoy. Kovacs is placed in the circle where foe after foe, wearing the faces of those he loves, attack him  until the real Quel shows up, saves him and reveals her memory is lost. The Protectorate wolf pack is on the prowl for their stolen wolf pack sleeve. Kovacs takes out criminals to coax information out of Trepp. Kovacks tracks down Durov and Okada, partners of Axley only to have Quell appear, kill them and make an impression. The Wolf Pack using a biotracker arrives shortly thereafter and take Kovacs in,  who is incapable of taking out Carrera due to his wolf dna incorporated into his sleeve. Meanwhile Poe is dealing with an AI Alzheimers like corruption and is faced with rebooting himself which will wipe out his memory and make him essentially no longer himself or continue to glitch and put Kovacs in possible danger.
