From Prophecy to Promise: Unpacking Jesus' Fulfillment in Scripture

Hey friend!

It's almost one of my favorite weeks of the year, Holy Week. It's the week where every single day we celebrate something significant happening that leads up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

In today's episode, we are digging into some scriptures from the Old Testament and some from the New testament that show us Jesus fulfilling prophecies perfectly. Why does any of this matter?

- Jesus fulfilling prophecies validates His identity as the promised Messiah. It confirms His divine nature and establishes His authority as the Son of God.

- The fulfillment of prophecies provides a bridge between the Old and New Testaments, showing the continuity of God's plan throughout history.

- Seeing prophecies fulfilled in Jesus reassures believers of God's faithfulness to His promises. It demonstrates that God can be trusted to fulfill His word, bringing comfort and confidence to those who follow Him.

- Understanding these prophecies helps individuals grasp the depth of God's plan for redemption and salvation through Jesus Christ.

If He did it before, He will do it again. His promises are true and He keeps His Word

I emphasize the importance of maintaining the fire and passion of new believers and not allowing it to diminish over time. I encourage you to put Jesus first in the new year and to prioritize your relationship with Him above all else. One of my favorite parts about God is His unchanging nature we talk about that a little bit too.

We hear the verse, sing the song, see it in a football stadium and yet, sometimes still there's a disconnect. There's a disconnect between knowing this truth in our heads and truly believing it in our hearts.

What is a Wiccan? What is Wicca? What do they believe? And why is it on the rise today?

These are just a few of the questions that our guest today, Amy Davison, answers for us. Throughout the episode, Amy shares her own story of Wicca and how she was led down a different path before she met the Lord.

Amy is an Air Force vet turned apologist with Mama Bear Apologetics. She received her MA in Apologetics from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and speaks on cultural challenges to the faith, biblical sexuality, and how to raise children to be warriors in the faith. She and her husband Mike are currently raising 3 teen boys with a little girl on the way in a little house in Texas.

In the month of all things scary, this topic is one that is worth talking about again and again. But we are not just talking about halloween or the boo scared- we are also talking about actual fear. Panic. Late at night worrying, can’t sleep, anxiety, the never to do list, the afraid to do the thing because of the unknown, the medical diagnosis, the list goes on.

 

Fear manifests itself in so many different ways but today we are talking about ways to combat and overcome fear. 

We are going to chat about 4 questions to ask ourselves when fear or worry or anxiety knocks on the front door and discuss four ways to beat fear every single time.

 

When you walk around with a spirit of fear you take space away from the victorious joy-filled life God intends for you.

A spirit of fear robs you of life; fear is a distraction and an all-consuming force. But with Christ, overcoming the spirit of fear is possible!

In this episode of the Abundant Woman Collective Podcast, Vivian Cummins shares her personal journey of battling perfectionism and striving for control. Vivian, a federal employee with over 24 years of civilian service, talks about how her need for perfection and control led to an unbalanced life filled with stress, burnout, depression, and anxiety.

In 2020, she rededicated her life to the Lord and vowed to relinquish control and submit to God's will.

However, in 2021, her life took a challenging turn when she was diagnosed with stage three melanoma. Despite the fear and difficulty of this season, Vivian claims it set her free from captivity and taught her to embrace imperfection, recognize unbalance, and trust God.

Today, Vivian not only shares her testimony with other busy women but also provides valuable lessons and helpful tips for actively seeking balance. She emphasizes the importance of recognizing when you're feeling unbalanced, being intentional about self-care, and relying on the power of Scripture and prayer to combat perfectionism.

Vivian's story serves as a powerful reminder that you're not alone in your struggles, and God is always there to provide guidance and healing. Embracing vulnerability and seeking His help can lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

She helps them turn their businesses into their ministries.  After leaving the military, she had a lot of learning to do. She learned about herself, her gifts, and what she was created for. She knew her next job had to be for God. She knew she had to have the creator of the Universe as her CEO. She prayed and partnered with God.  As a mentor and speaker, Jeanette knows that your divine purpose is unique and only for you. When you walk in purpose you will no longer feel shame or pain, but joy, peace, and love.  It's time to live unapologetically unstoppable!
