Update (1/28/2021)

Ryan, and I both are extremely sad to hear about the death of Resident Evil Actress Jeanette Maus. She passed at the age of 39 from colon cancer. Way too soon for a person to leave this world, she will be dearly missed. Our deepest condolences go out to her friends, family, and close loved ones.

I'd also like to say rest in peace to the fantastic Cicely Tyson, who also has passed at the age of 96. For those of you unaware, Tyson was a black actress who paved the way for many, breaking numerus stereotypes for African Americans, specifically black women. She will be deeply missed by all.

May both live on through their legacy, and their impact to their respective industries.

And we are back and feeling good! Happy new year everyone, well at the time of recording and uploading this, it's still 2020, but you'll be hearing this new years day. Season 4 is finally here, and the surprise I was telling you guys about has arrived too. That's right, finally we have a cohost, my boy Ryan (Daze) has joined the party, and I'm sure you'll enjoy him since he's just as much as drunk ranting nerd as me. Lets all make the best of the new year, and work to do the best we possibly can.

 

Also a few things to note:

-The podcast will now be biweekly, gives us more time to prep what we wanna talk about, and more time for me to better edit. If we aren't feeling the biweekly flow of things, we will move back to weekly so let's see how it goes.

-Audio quality isn't the best it could be due to the fact they we can only use one mic with audacity (recording software), but we should be getting an equipment overhaul soon. I'll also be looking into using another program to record so expect better audio within the next 2 to 3 episodes.

Hey all, this week I'll be discussing fanservice, and I'll be using Fairy Tail as an example of when it's used far too much in a story. While I don't think fanservice is inherently a bad thing, too much of a good thing is always bad for you, and Fairy Tail as series is pretty much fanservice the anime. I'll also briefly talk about the Future Trunks arc of Dragon Ball Super too, kinda all over the place, but just wanted to get all my thoughts out for it. Hopefully you have a good time giving this one a listen, it was fun to just talk about a subject that's kinda silly and at the same time serious. Next week is the season 3 finale so don't miss it!

I'll be mainly using examples from My Hero Academia, a series I feel uses a lot of context and deeper meaning within the dialogue to give their fight the extra push they need. I'll also be using an example from Yu Yu Hakusho (of course), the scene where Genkai & Toguro talk that final time. Yo all! Hope you're staying safe, and healthy in these wild times. I'm getting over a COLD, so don't think I'm out here infected. Well, I have a lot more free time since work hours got cut (Nervous laughter, and finger guns) I should have more time to get better topics, planning, editing, etc. this one is a little weaker though due to me getting over being sick, and with my family also being home, I have to record down stairs for now.
