That Love Podcast Presents: AMERICAN BOLLYWOOD — Episode 9
Format/Genre: A heartfelt coming-of-age romantic audio drama blending first love, teen romance, friendship, family, ambition, sharp comedy, and the messy emotional reality of trying too hard to hold onto someone you love.
Logline: With Miles preparing to leave Chicago, Izzy Lopez launches an ambitious plan to prove she is worth staying for—but the harder she tries to build their future, the more she risks missing what everyone around her is desperately trying to tell her.
Izzy Lopez wakes up with one goal: give Miles enough reasons to stay in Chicago before he leaves, beginning with a driving licence, a new job, an apartment, and finally the courage to tell him she loves him. Selina, Mason and Gloria can all see the flaw in the plan—Izzy is trying to build an entire future before Miles has actually promised to be part of it—but Izzy is convinced that action is better than waiting.
Her first challenge is a driving test with long-suffering examiner Derek, where one perfectly timed text from Miles turns a nearly flawless drive into an automatic failure. Then Izzy heads to a trial shift at Rafael’s restaurant, only to discover Miles sitting in her section with Dina, forcing her to somehow balance jealousy, professionalism, tiramisu, and a water jug that appears determined to betray her. Through every mistake, the message becomes clearer: Izzy does not need to perform, prove, or reinvent herself to deserve love—she simply needs to stop panicking long enough to be herself.
When Derek gives her one final chance, Izzy finally quiets the noise, focuses on what is directly in front of her, and earns something real for herself. But even as she celebrates one major victory, a seemingly innocent comment from Miles leaves her wondering whether all her carefully constructed plans are leading toward the future she wants—or preparing her for one she never imagined.

That Love Podcast — original audio romance, romantic comedy, love story podcasts and cinematic audio drama for anyone who believes falling in love is sometimes the easy part.
Hey everyone, just a quick American Bollywood update.
There’s no new episode this week, but don’t worry — we’re still here, and we’ve been very busy behind the scenes editing and putting the finishing touches on the final few episodes of the series.
And next week, we’re making it up to you with Episodes 9 and 10.
Izzy is running out of time before Miles potentially leaves Chicago, so naturally, she decides the answer is a plan. Actually… several plans.
She wants to prove she can build a life of her own — starting with getting her driving licence, finding a job and searching for an apartment. But this is Izzy, which means absolutely nothing is going to happen the easy way.
There are disastrous driving tests, an increasingly traumatised driving examiner, one very awkward restaurant shift, Miles showing up with Dina, an unforgettable tiramisu speech, and Izzy desperately trying to convince herself that everything is going exactly according to plan.
Then comes Episode 10.
Prom night.
The Bollywood performance Izzy has been preparing for.
And a moment that forces her to question everything she thought she knew about Miles, their relationship and the love story she believed she was living.
These next two episodes are funny, romantic, emotional and incredibly important for Izzy.
So, no new American Bollywood episode this week — but Episodes 9 and 10 arrive next week on That Love Podcast.
Thank you for listening, thank you for sticking with us, and trust us…
That Love Podcast Presents: AMERICAN BOLLYWOOD — Episode 8
Format/Genre: A heartfelt coming-of-age romantic audio drama blending teen romance, family conflict, dance, friendship, emotional growth, and warm character-driven comedy.
Logline: After weeks of fighting for the dance studio, Izzy Lopez finally gets the breakthrough she desperately wanted with her father—only for Miles to arrive with news that threatens the future she has been quietly imagining for them both.
Izzy Lopez takes one final risk by bringing her father, Michael Lopez Campbell, face-to-face with Gloria Okafor, hoping that seeing the woman behind the headlines will finally change his mind about the dance academy. What begins as an uncomfortable confrontation slowly forces Michael to question the assumptions he has made about Gloria, Izzy, and why his daughter has fought so hard to keep dancing. When the truth behind Izzy's determination finally comes to light, Michael begins to understand that her lessons have never simply been about impressing Miles—they are about giving something meaningful back to a family she has grown to care about. But just as Izzy returns to Gloria's studio with new hope and growing confidence, Miles arrives carrying life-changing news that could alter everything they thought prom, their relationship, and the weeks ahead would look like. That Love Podcast Presents: AMERICAN BOLLYWOOD — Episode 7
Format/Genre: A funny, heartfelt coming-of-age romantic audio drama blending teen romance, family conflict, friendship, dance, sharp comedy, and the emotional chaos of figuring out who you want to become.
Logline: Grounded, desperate to return to dance, and running out of ways to convince her stubborn father, Izzy Lopez launches one increasingly disastrous plan after another—while boyfriend Miles quietly carries a family crisis of his own and prepares to tell her something that could change everything.
Izzy Lopez has a problem: her father, Michael Lopez, has absolutely no intention of letting her return to Gloria’s controversial dance studio. After missing two lessons and fearing Gloria may close the studio before she ever gets the chance to prove herself, Izzy turns persuasion into a full-scale campaign—complete with video testimonials, Selina as backup, and one spectacularly ill-advised story about a charitable soup kitchen.
Unfortunately, every brilliant plan Izzy thinks up somehow makes things worse, leaving her more grounded, more frustrated, and more determined than ever. But when Miles suggests that Michael needs to meet Gloria himself instead of judging her through news reports and second-hand stories, Izzy finally sees the beginnings of a plan that might actually work.
Meanwhile, Miles is dealing with his own changing family life as he helps his father move out of the family home and protects his mother’s privacy from rumours spreading around town. And when he tells Izzy that there is something he wants to discuss face to face, what begins as another chaotic fight over dance suddenly carries a much more personal question beneath it.
Funny, romantic, awkward and full of heart, American Bollywood Episode 7 continues Izzy’s journey through first love, family expectations, friendship, independence and the terrifying possibility that growing up sometimes means hearing the things you would rather avoid.

American Bollywood — Episode 6
Saison 52 · Épisode 6
mercredi 23 septembre 2026 • Durée 29:54
That Love Podcast presents: American Bollywood — Episode 6
Format/Genre: A cinematic coming-of-age audio rom-com and romantic audio drama about first love, fake dating, jealousy, emotional honesty and the terrifying moment when two people finally admit what they really want.
Logline: What begins as Izzy Lopez’s carefully staged fake double date turns into the night she has secretly wanted for years, forcing her and Miles Pires Shah to confront the feelings they have both been trying not to say out loud.
Izzy Lopez arrives at an impossibly romantic restaurant expecting a double date with Miles Pires Shah, Dina and her newly recruited fake boyfriend Mason Ramos, only to discover that Dina is not coming and Miles had apparently imagined something far more intimate. With Mason suddenly sitting between them, the evening becomes an awkward collision of jealousy, competition and badly hidden feelings as Miles watches another boy openly choose Izzy in a way he never expected to see.
But Mason’s attempts to prove how well he knows Izzy uncover something even more important: Miles has been paying attention too. He remembers details about her that Izzy never realised he had noticed, and when Mason briefly leaves the table, Miles finally admits that Dina is not really his girlfriend and that he invited Izzy because the moments they shared at the bus stop and dance studio felt real to him.
With the fake-boyfriend plan exposed, Izzy is forced to admit why she needed Mason in the first place: she has spent so long believing that someone like Miles could never genuinely choose someone like her. Miles answers by telling Izzy what he actually sees — her kindness, determination, honesty and the way she refuses to abandon people when they need her most — leaving her to confront the possibility that the person she has spent years trying to impress may already like the person she is.
By the end of the evening, the fake double date has quietly become a real one. Miles and Izzy finally admit that they like each other, revealing that the red scarf, the bus stop and every awkward little moment between them meant far more than either was willing to say. But just as their relationship seems ready to cross a new line, Izzy’s father Michael Lopez Campbell steps in with another problem entirely: Gloria Okafor’s growing controversy has reached home, and Izzy’s dancing may be over before it has truly begun.
American Bollywood — Episode 5
Saison 52 · Épisode 5
dimanche 20 septembre 2026 • Durée 30:56
That Love Podcast presents: American Bollywood — Episode 5
Format/Genre: A hilarious and heartfelt coming-of-age audio rom-com about first love, fake dating, friendship, secret crushes and discovering that sometimes the people who truly see you have been watching all along.
Logline: With only hours to find a fake boyfriend for her double date with Miles Pires Shah, Izzy Lopez turns to Selina for help — and what begins as a ridiculous school-wide search unexpectedly reveals just how many people have been quietly noticing Izzy for years.
Izzy Lopez has created a boyfriend who does not exist, Miles Pires Shah expects to meet him that evening, and Selina has decided there is only one reasonable solution: find a real boy willing to play the part. Her search leads to Mason Ramos and Jake Geller, two book-loving classmates who reveal that they have both secretly liked Izzy for years and are remarkably enthusiastic about competing for the position. Selina transforms an empty classroom into a bizarre game show where Mason and Jake must prove who knows Izzy best. What begins as a ridiculous competition quickly becomes increasingly unsettling as both boys demonstrate an astonishing knowledge of Izzy’s favourite books, movies, habits and embarrassing secrets — leaving Izzy to discover that she may not have been nearly as invisible as she always believed.
The questions become more personal until Selina asks something neither boy can answer with simple facts: what has Izzy wanted to feel more than anything since she was fourteen? Mason’s answer cuts through Izzy’s jokes and books and gets frighteningly close to the truth — she wants to know that she is enough exactly as she is, without having to perform or transform herself for somebody else.
With the double date getting closer and Miles waiting to meet a boyfriend who was invented less than a day earlier, Izzy finally has someone willing to step into the role. But the line between pretending and genuinely caring may already be much messier than she expected, especially when her chosen fake boyfriend has feelings that are anything but fake.
American Bollywood Episode 5 delivers romantic comedy, fake-dating chaos and surprising emotional depth as Izzy’s plan to make Miles finally see her raises an uncomfortable new question: what happens when someone else already does?
American Bollywood — Episode 4
Saison 52 · Épisode 4
mercredi 16 septembre 2026 • Durée 24:19
That Love Podcast presents: American Bollywood — Episode 4
Format/Genre: A cinematic coming-of-age audio rom-com and romantic podcast episode where Bollywood dancing, forbidden feelings, friendship and disastrous romantic misunderstandings collide.
Logline: As Izzy Lopez finally begins finding her rhythm alongside Miles Pires Shah, one unforgettable dance brings them closer than ever — until a harmless lie leaves Izzy facing a double date with Miles, his girlfriend and a boyfriend who does not actually exist.
The music begins, Miles Pires Shah takes the floor, and Izzy Lopez finally gets to see what years of dancing have made him capable of. With Gloria Okafor guiding her through every step, Izzy watches the boy she loves move with effortless confidence before deciding she is tired of watching from the sidelines and stepping onto the floor herself.
Then something extraordinary happens. For eleven glorious seconds, Izzy actually dances — her feet land correctly, her body finds the rhythm and Miles begins moving with her until, for one brief moment, they forget to be self-conscious and simply dance together. Naturally, Izzy then falls flat on her face, but even Gloria admits those eleven seconds prove that somewhere underneath the chaos there may actually be a dancer waiting to emerge.
Miles stays to help, and an afternoon filled with teasing, falling and unexpected chemistry leaves Izzy increasingly aware that something between them may be changing. Gloria also makes a life-changing decision: Izzy will become her final student, and the prom performance will be the last chapter of Gloria’s career as a dance teacher.
Outside the studio, Miles waits for Izzy and asks if she would like to go out after school. For one glorious moment, Izzy believes the impossible might finally be happening — until Miles explains that Dina will be coming too and asks Izzy to bring the boyfriend she previously claimed to have. Unfortunately, that boyfriend exists only inside Izzy’s increasingly complicated imagination.
With a double date approaching, six weeks until prom, a dance routine she can barely survive and absolutely no boyfriend, Izzy has managed to transform one impossible romantic plan into several simultaneous emergencies. But after Miles leaves her with an unexpected kiss on the cheek, giving up becomes even harder.American Bollywood Episode 4 is a funny, heartfelt audio romance about chemistry, confidence, terrible decisions and those dangerous little moments when friendship begins feeling like something else.
American Bollywood — Episode 3
Saison 52 · Épisode 3
dimanche 13 septembre 2026 • Durée 28:18
That Love Podcast presents: American Bollywood — Episode 3
Format/Genre: A warm, funny and emotionally charged coming-of-age audio rom-com and romantic audio drama about first love, Bollywood dancing, family, second chances and discovering who will stand beside you when everything falls apart.
Logline: Just as Izzy Lopez finally finds the money to chase her impossible Bollywood dream, Miles Pires Shah arrives with a revelation that changes everything — while the woman meant to teach Izzy how to dance faces the possibility of losing the legacy she spent forty years building.
Izzy Lopez has a problem: she needs £2,000 for Gloria Okafor’s dance lessons, and desperation leads her and Selina to a street book fair with one of her father Michael Lopez Campbell’s most treasured manuscripts. What begins as another questionable money-making scheme quickly becomes something far bigger when collectors realise exactly what Izzy has put up for sale — and Michael himself arrives to discover what his daughter has been doing in the name of love. Then Miles Pires Shah appears carrying Izzy’s forgotten red scarf. The small romantic gesture feels like the breakthrough she has been hoping for — until another girl arrives, takes Miles’s hand and introduces herself as Dina, his girlfriend. Suddenly Izzy’s carefully constructed dream becomes considerably more complicated, forcing her to decide whether loving someone means chasing them at any cost or giving them room to make their own choices. Meanwhile, Gloria’s world begins collapsing when former students publicly accuse her of bullying and toxic teaching methods. Her once-busy dance academy empties almost overnight, leaving Izzy to become the unlikely person trying to remind Gloria that forty years of changing lives cannot simply disappear because of one terrible morning.
And when Miles unexpectedly walks into the abandoned studio, Izzy discovers a connection between him, his mother Mira Shah and Gloria that she never knew existed. Miles was once Gloria’s student too — and as music finally returns to the empty room, Izzy begins to see another side of the boy she loves and another reason why dance means so much to him. American Bollywood Episode 3 is an emotional love story podcast about disappointment, loyalty, unexpected connections and the people who show up when everyone else walks away.
American Bollywood — Episode 2
Saison 52 · Épisode 2
mercredi 9 septembre 2026 • Durée 24:16
That Love Podcast presents: American Bollywood — Episode 2
Format/Genre: A cinematic coming-of-age audio rom-com and romantic audio drama combining first love, friendship, Bollywood dance, family complications and one wonderfully impossible plan.
Logline: Determined to learn the language of dance before Miles Pires Shah disappears from her life, Izzy Lopez finally finds a teacher willing to believe in her — only to discover that chasing the boy of her dreams comes with a £2,000 price tag and the frightening possibility that Miles may finally be starting to notice her.
Izzy Lopez returns to Gloria Okafor after being rejected by four different dance teachers, but this time she finally has an answer to Gloria’s question. She wants to dance because Miles Pires Shah finds something in movement that Izzy has never been able to express with words, and if she can learn that language, perhaps she can finally reach him. Gloria agrees to teach her, beginning what promises to be one of the most difficult dance-training relationships either of them has ever experienced. The first lesson confirms something everybody already suspected: Izzy is spectacularly terrible. Gloria, however, believes that technique can be built around whatever spark exists inside her, and promises that if there is something there, she will find it and turn Izzy into someone capable of making Miles stop and look. Then comes the catch. Gloria’s training requires a £2,000 deposit, leaving Izzy with an impossible financial problem, no real savings and the sudden realisation that learning to dance may require far more than determination. But just as the dream begins to feel further away, a quiet encounter at a bus stop finally gives Izzy something she has wanted for years: a genuine conversation with Miles. For a few brief moments, Miles laughs with her, remembers her name and allows Izzy to see beneath the carefully controlled version of himself he shows everyone else. Izzy leaves believing she still has a long way to go before Miles truly sees her — unaware that a forgotten red scarf may already have given him a reason to look twice. American Bollywood Episode 2 deepens this romantic podcast into a story about perseverance, vulnerability and those tiny moments when two people who have always existed in the same world finally begin moving toward each other.
American Bollywood — Episode 1: His Name Is Miles Pires Shah
Saison 52 · Épisode 1
dimanche 6 septembre 2026 • Durée 33:44
That Love Podcast presents: American Bollywood — Episode 1: His Name Is Miles Pires Shah
Format/Genre: A warm, cinematic coming-of-age audio rom-com and romantic audio drama about first love, impossible dreams, Bollywood dancing, friendship, family, and finding the courage to finally be seen.
Logline: When bookish high-school senior Izzy Lopez learns that Miles Pires Shah — the boy she has secretly loved for years — is leaving town in just eight weeks, she decides that confessing her feelings is far too simple and instead creates an outrageous plan to learn Bollywood dancing and win his heart before time runs out.
Izzy Lopez has been completely, inconveniently in love with Miles Pires Shah for years, but she has never found the courage to tell him. When her best friend Selena reveals that Miles’s parents have separated and he will soon be moving to Florida with his mother, Izzy suddenly has just fifty-six days to stop being the girl watching him from a distance and become someone he might finally see. After some highly questionable reconnaissance, Izzy discovers that dancing — and Bollywood in particular — connects Miles to his mother, his childhood and a part of himself that means far more than she realised. That discovery inspires an extraordinary plan: learn Bollywood choreography, perform at the school prom and show Miles exactly how much he means to her. There is only one small complication — according to almost everyone unfortunate enough to watch her try, Izzy Lopez is catastrophically bad at dancing. Rejected by teacher after teacher, Izzy refuses to surrender and eventually finds her way to Gloria Okafor, an experienced dance teacher who asks her a much harder question than whether she can dance: why does she want to dance at all? Izzy may not have the answer yet, but for the first time in her life she is doing something that genuinely scares her — and perhaps that is where this love story really begins. American Bollywood Episode 1 launches a funny, heartfelt audio romance about first love, teenage courage and the ridiculous things we are sometimes willing to do for the person who makes our heart beat differently.
