Gameweek 5 didn’t disappoint.

We look into the Merseyside Derby at Anfield, where Liverpool side who refuse to lose edged Everton 2–1. Brighton and Spurs shared four goals in a thrilling 2–2 draw.

At the other end of the table, Burnley and Forest battled to a 1–1, while Palace snatched a big London win over West Ham. Over at Molineux, Leeds were clinical in their 3–1 victory against Wolves, and in West London, Fulham outclassed Brentford with a commanding 3–1 result.

Saturday ended cagey on the south coast with Bournemouth and Newcastle cancelling each other out in a goalless stalemate, but Sunday brought the blockbuster clashes. Manchester United beat Chelsea 2–1 at Old Trafford in a fiery showdown, Sunderland and Villa shared the points in a 1–1 draw, and finally, the headline fixture, Arsenal versus Manchester City at the Emirates, delivered a tense 1–1 draw between two title contenders.

Elsewhere, Wolves fell short at St James’ Park, Chelsea still search for consistency, and Everton look sharper with Grealish pulling strings, however only managed a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa

Bournemouth stay firm in a 2-1 win against Brighton.

Crystal Palace and Sunderland played out a goalless draw, while Leeds were unfortunate to lose to Fulham to a late own goal.

It was the battle of Manchester as City piled on the pressure for Amorim as the questions remain for Manchester United ahead of tougher fixtures.

However, Manchester City slipped to a secondconsecutive defeat, undone by Brighton’s relentless attacking display at the Amex.
