Recent legislation requires state schools to reform or cut low enrollment degree programs. This raises a broader question about when you can cut an academic program. If you’ve ever wondered what I think about when you cut programs, then this is one you should check out.

Episode #14: Fabio v. Amy Wax, Revisited29 Oct 202401:36:08

A few years ago, the Tocqueville Center at Indiana University invited conservative fire brand Amy Wax to give a talk and I was asked to be the respondent. Given her recent sanctioning by the University of Pennsylvania law school, I felt it was time to revisit this talk. This is the audio recording of that event. Here is a link to the video if you want more than the podcast. Briefly, Wax argues in favor of traditional family values and conservative sexual mores. In my response, I agree with her that people shouldn’t trash bourgeois family values but she’s wrong about many other issues and she should drop the extreme rhetoric. Tell me what you think.
