266. Ruined Cards and Tarot to find who we truly are12 Aug 202400:36:19

Welcome to Mailbag Mondays with Lindsay! Today on the podcast we dive into three beautiful questions sent in to us by listeners: how can we redefine our relationship with our decks when have a pattern of going to the Tarot in challenging times (and times are no longer challenging), what do we do when one of our Tarot cards gets ruined, and how might we consider engaging with our decks as helping tools in the midst of an identity crisis, from religious guilt and shame?

257. MONTHLY MEDICINE: March is Fullness01 Mar 202400:36:45

Welcome to a new Monthly Medicine, loves!

March always represents a powerful turning point on the wheel of the year, as it is the gateway into which we exit Pisces season (and all that that previous cycle represented and held for us) and enter a new astrological year on the wings of Aries season. Between that threshold and our first Eclipse of 2024, this March is shaping up to be quite momentous.

Our theme for the month of March is Fullness. We're being invited to explore a few things around that theme: 1. the "fullness," zenith, or completion point of this cycle we've been in, and allowing that to be a jumping off point for deeper reflection about what we want to grow and foster on the other side, and 2. how to open to a greater sense of fullness and fulfillment around our own well being this month and beyond.

Our Soul Tarot Reading for March

Card for the month ahead: Queen of Pentacles

How the month will feel to us: The Magician

How can we marry these two cards together?: Ace of Wands

Deepest lesson of the month ahead: Nine of Swords

What we’re being invited to pay attention to most: King of Swords

An aligned action to take: The High Priestess

What we’re being invited to make space for and welcome in: The Emperor

166. Beginning Anew with The Sun + Extended Podcast Pause!04 Jun 202100:58:55
Today's episode of T-WS podcast is super special for two reasons: 1) we are officially going on an extended pause with the podcast, and 2) we are diving into the luminous heart of The Sun card, exploring it as an invitation into self celebration. Ruled by the Sun, and by extension, Leo, The Sun card marks an important moment of clarity and perspective in our lives, and often shows up as a new beginning -- one that can help us to understand more about ourselves, and honor how much we've grown and changed. It is a powerful energy, one that may seem sweet and simple on paper, but is radically potent and beautiful in it's depths. Thank you so much for being here, Wild Souls! 157. Soul Tarot 101: The Tarot is an Invitation19 Mar 202100:57:57
On today’s episode of T-WS, we talk about the upcoming Spring Equinox, and the significance of moving from Pisces season (The Moon card) to Aries season (The Emperor). We also continue on our exploratory deep dive of the Four Pillars of Soul Tarot by considering each Tarot card as an invitation, rather than a symbol of what will be, or not be. We look at some ways that we can consider the invitations of Three of Swords and Queen of Wands, and I answer a listener Q about how to begin to take our readings from understanding to implementation. Welcome back to Part Three of our journey through the second Vertical Line of the Major Arcana! We are completing this exploratory deep dive with The Tower — our sacred initiator and teacher for this week. Ruled by Mars, The Tower card invites us to return home to our foundations, to offer our love to a deep wounding, or a part of ourselves that is asking for our attention. Within the context of rewilding intuition, and inviting Spirit into our lives in a more meaningful way (which is what the second Vertical Line is all about), The Tower can also be a signal from our souls that something is ready to be cleared, released, or processed. How can we surrender to those deep calls? How do we show up for ourselves in those moments? Together we will explore all of this and more, as we spend time with this transformative archetype. 148. Deepening Tarot Connections: The Hierophant, The Lovers, and The Chariot15 Jan 202101:05:04
On today’s episode of Tarot for the Wild Soul podcast, we continue our exploration of how certain Tarot cards work together with The Hierophant, The Lovers, and The Chariot. These three cards invite us to come back home to ourselves, to reclaim our power, autonomy, self love — everything we have a tendency to give away to others. Who are we following, worshipping, or paying attention to? What are we giving away to others that is actually ours to cherish, hold, and celebrate? How would our life change, evolve, or transform if we began to reclaim these birthrights? In today’s episode, we will explore how The Hierophant is showing up as a teacher and anchor for us in these times, as well as how we can begin to lean into these three archetypes as a unit, and call back to ourselves what we’ve lost or given away. Indeed, much of the 8/Strength energy that we're going to be cycling through in 2024 is starting to come online. The seeds we've been sowing are coming to fruit, and we're opening to some newfound excitement and fresh energy in February. Our work will be to hold ourselves with gentleness and compassion through the expansions and contractions of the cycle ahead -- to root into our most restorative practices, and open to the supports (both internal and external) that feel the most accessible to us.

Our Soul Tarot Reading for February

Card for the month ahead: The High Priestess

How will this quickening of the pace feel: Death

Deepest lesson of the month ahead: Nine of Swords

What’s asking for our attention most: Nine of Cups

What’s being cleared out: Seven of Cups

What’s cycling in: Knight of Wands

147. Deepening Tarot Connections: Four, Five, and Six of Cups08 Jan 202100:57:09
How do multiple Tarot cards influence and interact with one another? What kind of medicine do they bring to our lives? It can be so powerful to reflect on the essence of a particular Tarot card, one that can take on a whole new meaning when we look at it as a pair or a unit. On this episode of Tarot for the Wild Soul podcast, we explore the relationship between the Four, Five, and Six of Cups. These cards invite us to integrate our emotional experiences, and create ample, compassionate space for our grief. When we work with these energies as a unit, we cultivate the capacity for radical self tending, transformative reparenting, and greater spaciousness in our hearts for ourselves and others. In honor of the many Retrogrades that we are currently transiting through, we are kicking off a new three part series on TFTWS podcast, all about Reversed Cards! This series is devoted to touching into the medicine of Reversals, to begin to see them as both beautiful invitations for our growth and profound opportunities for personal reflection. In each of the three weeks, we will explore a different category that a Reversal can fall into, the teachings of which are rooted in Soul Tarot. This week, we are looking to the moments when Reversals can be indicators of our resistance. How can we offer tenderness, compassion, and love to these places? How can we begin to shift from fear to empowerment in these moments? This episode will explore all of this and more, looking to Death, The Magician, Three of Pentacles, Knight of Swords, The Hermit, and The Hanged/Tethered One as anchors for this work. 136. Monthly Medicine: October is Completion29 Sep 202001:07:28
October is a powerful month for completions, for laying things down on the fire that no longer serve us, and/or have been dead for a long time. This month invites us to walk away from who we thought we were, and what we thought we were, for who we *actually* are. Who are we becoming? What are we growing up to be? There is much that we will be leaving behind and discarding in October, thanking and blessing it for the work it’s brought us, for the treasure it’s laid at our feet. It's a huge time of maturation and evolution, one that is inviting us into a big inner harvest cycle, where we get to decide what we will keep, what we are ready to compost, and how we can surrender to the things we cannot control. 132. Rebirth, Part One: The Chariot04 Sep 202001:01:42
There are many Tarot cards that invite us into the process of transformative rebirth, but only three represent the kind of root level change that can totally altar the structure of our being: The Chariot, Temperance, and The World, the final cards in the three respective lines of the Major Arcana. In this three part series, we will dive deeply into each these cards and the three lines of the Major Arcana, exploring their significance, their medicine, and how we can lean into them in times of great personal evolution and change. Today’s episode is centered on Line One of the Major Arcana and The Chariot, and how these energies can present us with a powerful and important invitation to graduate from where we’ve been to where we are meant to travel to. Ruled by Cancer, and the final card of the first line of the Major Arcana, this archetype supports us in times of big releasing, shedding, and regenerating into new incarnations of ourselves. 131. MONTHLY MEDICINE: September is Coming Home to Ourselves28 Aug 202001:22:34
The third season of Tarot for the Wild Soul is here, and we are kicking it off with a potent edition of Monthly Medicine and some big updates from yours truly. To say that this is a radically life altering, transformative, and utterly liminal time is the understatement of the year. We are living amidst frequencies that the planet has never experienced before. Absolutely nothing is clear or certain. Everything we’ve ever known (including who we thought we were) is radically shifting, the ground like quicksand beneath our feet. How do we show up to these times? How do we find our roots and stability? By coming home to ourselves and our bodies, befriending the parts of us that we’ve abandoned or neglected for so long, making amends and reconnecting with them. We are building this new world, this new paradigm together. The more we show up to ourselves, the more we will be able to robustly, resiliently, and solidly show up in the world, answering the call to be of service in the way that only we can. August is inviting us to work with the theme of soul centered reckoning — reviewing, reflecting, clearing things up and making changes. In order to rise up and create the kind of lasting, evolutionary change that is needed on this planet, this rhythm of internal to external evolution cannot be rushed or overlooked. 129. MONTHLY MEDICINE: July is Transition01 Jul 202000:48:00
We are transitioning as a collective this month, leaving behind one state of being for another (far more evolved) state. Transition is slow and spiralic. It happens over time, through applied layers of continual work, shedding, and growth. Transition asks for our attention. It changes us, personally and collectively, in lasting ways. The month of June was a line in the sand, an awakening on a massive, planetary level, and this month is a deepening into what we discovered in that space of waking up. The times are huge, crucial, and intense. How can we meet them with grace? And more importantly, how can we *stay in them*, rooting and fortifying ourselves so that we do not go back to sleep? In this episode, we explore The Chariot and The Tower as Anchor Cards for these transformative times, and drop deeply into the Wild Soul Collective Reading for the month ahead: CARD OF THE MONTH — Six of Swords LESSON OF THE MONTH — Nine of Wands WHAT WE ARE RELEASING — Six of Cups WHAT WE ARE EMBRACING — Ten of Cups WHAT WE’RE BEING INVITED TO PAY ATTENTION TO — Ten of Wands C/W: The content in this lesson contains references to trauma, violence, systemic oppression and racism, extinction. 128. MONTHLY MEDICINE: June is Awaken29 May 202001:06:08
It is challenging to overemphasize the enormity of this month, on an energetic scale. Between Eclipse season, the Solstice, and us reaching the half way point of the year, we are being called to review, reflect, and more importantly, to awaken. We can no longer continue forward as a planet, a species, or a collective without beginning to tend, caretake, and nurture the parts of ourselves that are crying out for our attention. We are ready to hugely expand as individuals and as a planet, and it will not be possible to step into this evolution of soul service without digesting, clearing, and honoring what no longer matches the truth of who we are. We are clearing out the old, dead roots, making space for what is ready to grow and nourish us in a whole new way. What part of you wants to be seen, loved, and embraced? How can you make space for these parts of yourselves? What stories do you hold about expansion? What do you feel afraid of? Where are you experiencing contractive resistance? All of these inquiries are breadcrumb trails, pulling you closer to yourself and your heart. We are being called to awaken to ourselves, opening our arms to all of us, making space for what wants to be birthed in this new cycle of our lives. 125. Devotional Discernment with Two of Pentacles15 May 202000:54:50
On today’s episode of the podcast, we are dropping into the medicine of Two of Pentacles, and how we are being called to work with it as a collective Anchor Card. In this time when the majority of us are so stressed, working so hard to care for ourselves, our families, and our communities, it has never been more important to deepen our discernment with what is worthy of our energy and time. Two of Pentacles reminds us that we only have two hands, and energetically, we can only feed, nourish, caretake, or devote our energy to a limited number of things on any given day, or at any given time. What are we devoting our energy to? Who or what is deserving of it? How can we sink into our devotional discernment around this, reclaiming some of our precious inner resources for what matters to us? 123. The Myth of Not Enoughness with Seven of Swords08 May 202000:56:13
All Sevens in the Tarot represent a call to engage with inner work that often feels like it needs to be resolved externally, with an external action. With Seven of Swords, we are called to explore the ways in which we get caught up in the myths of not enoughness that our brain presents to us: the fear that we are not okay, that there's something wrong with us, or that at our core, we are fundamentally not good enough. How do we respond to these invitations? Do we typically attempt to mitigate or resolve the discomfort of those feelings through some kind of distraction, or external response? Or are we willing to courageously tend to the deep internal wounds that lay underneath those thoughts? Are we willing to come back home to ourselves, lay a hand on our heart, and just be with ourselves when things feel tender, or uncomfortable? In today's episode of the podcast, we will explore Seven of Swords as a huge and beautiful ally for these kinds of experiences, and concrete ways to begin to work with the energy of this card, and with ourselves, in these moments. C/W: The content in this episode contains references to extinction, environmental degradation, religious structures, loss, death, illness, trauma, systemic marginalization. 121. MONTHLY MEDICINE: May is Choice01 May 202000:59:50
Welcome to a new month, Wild Souls! We cross the threshold into the month of May on the Bealtaine/Samhuinn portal, a time where we are invited to sense the intersections of birth and death. We are working with the theme of choice this month. How do we engage with this the energy of choice in a time when so many of us feel so powerless, so totally devoid of choice? By coming home to ourselves — by choosing ourselves, no matter what. By coming home to what resides within ourselves, giving it our attention and acknowledgment, even in the midst of challenging situations. What and where are we birthing? What are we growing, nourishing, giving our time, attention and energy to? How are we moving through a death process? Are we giving space for our grief, our anger, our bewilderment in the midst of that process, and more importantly, can we choose to be in both at the same time, honoring both/and, instead of either/or? C/W: The content in this episode contains references to trauma, white supremacy/privilege, climate change, extinction, and environmental degradation, cultural appropriation, addiction, body dysmorphia/gender dysphoria, birth, death, loss and grief.
