The Journey. Full album without voice !

This week I am taking a break from normal affairs of the world, the living and the dead, as there is just too much happening around me to be in a decent frame of mind!

So luckily Ester has finished today the re-recording of all her interpretations of the music I channelled this Summer from Neil Peart. As mentioned I would love to make an album project out of this, and if you would like to contribute art or anything that you feel about any individual song to this, I can include it.

First, St. Maria Church in Kupfergasse; home of the Black Madonna !

Then the  EL-DE house at Appellhofplatz 23-25 ​​which was the headquarters of the Cologne Gestapo from 1935 to 1945. The name became the epitome of the Nazi reign of terror in Cologne, but also for the way in which the city's Nazi history was dealt with after 1945.

The "Gestapo Prison" memorial in the cellar of the building is one of the best preserved detention sites of the Nazi era. Here, more than 1,800 wall inscriptions bear witness to persecution, torture and murder. 

The prisoner cells and inscriptions of the prisoners are the most immediate and most vivid reminders of the horrors of the Nazi era associated with the EL-DE House. 

Titan comes at the end to reveal the shocking truth as to why I felt the need to see these two places today, as well as how they are deeply connected to the previous two episodes, and my very soul......

Today I visit the Cologne-Müngersdorf deportation camp memorial. Here I feel various remnants of Jewish Men, Women, and Children who passed through this half way point to Hell on Earth - the death camps in Poland and other occupied Eastern Countries.
 
Between 1941 and 1945, around 3,500 people from Cologne and the surrounding communities who were persecuted as Jews were interned in the Müngersdorf deportation camp. It therefore played a central role in the persecution and extermination apparatus of the Nazi regime and was the starting point of the Shoah in Cologne. 

Approximately where a gate now leads to the “Waldfrieden” allotment garden in Müngersdorf, the gates to the final stop on the way to hell used to be located. A barracks complex stood there between 1941 and 1945. With Fort V, a former Prussian fortification a few hundred meters away, it served as a deportation camp for the Nazis. From here, thousands of people, primarily of Jewish origin, were deported to the extermination camps. 

I meet the energy consciousness of a few former inmates, and describe the feelings I have.

The Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene and Lazarus is a sacred building in the early Gothic style in the Melaten Cemetery in Cologne-Lindenthal Germany. The foundation stone for the chapel was laid in 1243 and consecrated . It is therefore several years older than Cologne Cathedral , whose construction began in 1248.

It is located in the western part of the cemetery, on Aachener Straße , near the “Melaten” tram stop. It goes back to the time when there was a home for lepers on the site of today's cemetery. 

Leprosy was a terrible affliction and the sufferes had a life of social exclusion, persecution, and were outcasts from society.  

I meet a few dead visitors from the 13th Century, and the 21st Century!

In this episode I went to the Köln Dom (Cologne Cathedral.) I was introduced to a range of Guardian Spirits who have spent hundreds of years protecting, purifying and managing the energy transferance from the living to the dead - and in reverse!

Cologne Cathedral is a Catholic cathedral in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1996. The Cathedral is also Germany’s most visited landmark, attracting an average of 20,000 people a day, and currently the tallest twin-spired church at 157 m (515 ft) tall, second in Europe after Ulm Minster and third in the world. Construction of Cologne Cathedral began in 1248 but was halted in 1473, unfinished. Work did not restart until the 1840s, and the edifice was completed to its original Medieval plan in 1880.
The cathedral suffered fourteen hits by aerial bombs during World War II. Badly damaged, it nevertheless remained standing in an otherwise completely flattened city. The twin spires were an easily recognizable navigational landmark for Allied aircraft bombing.

This week I go to an ancient Graveyard for the first time to meet the spirit energy of many souls that still remains there. The Geusenfriedhof, founded in 1584, is the oldest Protestant burial site in the Rhineland. Today it is located in the middle of the densely populated Cologne-Lindenthal residential area. At that time, however, it was outside the city gates and, according to current law, was the only way for the Reformed community to receive a burial. The cemetery has been a listed building since 1981.

In this next chapter of the podcast, I have been asked by many souls to get out of my usual place, and go and visit them in places their energy still resides. This week I go to the St. Maria Lyskirchen, in Cologne, which at neally 1,180 years since its founding in 948 is one of the oldest churches in Cologne ! I meet Titan, and the Church Organist I believe, during the Second World War. Hans tells me of the love and tragedy he witnessed before he died after the war in a refugee camp from disease.

About the Church.

It was founded in 948, and the present building dates from 1210 to 1220, with some later additions in the Gothic style.[2] The upper parts of the west front were rebuilt in the 19th century.[3] The church is in the form of a three-aisled basilica, with a chancel flanked by two towers, only one of which was constructed to its full height, and an eastern apse.[3] The building received only minor damage during the wars.

So finally we are at the end of Neil Peart's journey, and I decided that I would combine all the songs together as one last album as Neil has inteneded. It is called simply "The Journey." The seventh and last song "Life Lessons" is complete and presented here for the first time.

I hope you have enjoyed this project as much as Ester and I, and I really look forward to starting a new chapter next week where we are returning to the normal format of Talking to the Dead. So many are waiting to come though and talk !
