Some of the most valuable and REAL travel advice doesn't come from guidebooks... it comes from people who've actually seen the world.

Chris and Jessie from Seek Your Epic have explored more than 50 countries, traveled full-time in an RV, cruised around the globe, and road schooled their kids along the way.

This conversation isn't just about where they've been—it's about the places that surprised them, the travel lessons they learned, and the practical tips they've picked up after years of exploring the world as a family.

This episode is for you if you've ever wondered:

  • Which countries are actually worth the hype
  • How a family travels the world while roadschooling
  • How to make your space more harmonious according to Feng Shui

In this episode, we cover:

  • How they went from traditional life to full-time RVing
  • What it's really like traveling through 50+ countries as a family
  • Why Vietnam became one of their favorite destinations… and which surprising countries were their least favorites

They Built the RV Life They Used to Dream About—Without Leaving It All Behind | @sleepyadventurers 22 juil. 202600:54:36

Most families dream about traveling more someday.

Kristen and Brian decided they weren't going to wait for retirement.

Without living in their RV full-time, they've figured out how to spend nearly 20 weeks every year exploring the country with their kids—all while balancing work, homeschooling and the realities of everyday life.

Along the way, they've survived tornadoes, visited 49/50 states, and discovered that some of the best parts of RV life aren't the places at all—it's the people you meet.

This episode is for you if you've ever wondered:

  • How families make extended RV travel work without quitting their jobs
  • How to balance responsibilities while still chasing adventure
  • What keeps families coming back to the road year after year

In this episode, we cover:

  • Why they chose part-time RV life instead of going full-time
  • The unforgettable Alaskan hike that would have most people saying “nope”.
  • How it felt to take shelter from an Oklahoma tornado in a shower stall
  • Tire failures, unexpected breakdowns, and the reality of life on the road
  • Their favorite (and least favorite!) destinations
  • Reality of homeschooling on the road and creating meaningful learning experiences
  • Their honest thoughts about their ATC trailer - is it worth the high price tag?
  • The friendships and community that have become one of the biggest rewards of RV travel

Because building an extraordinary life doesn't always require changing everything—it starts by making room for more adventure.

She Bet on Herself, Chose Travel, and It Changed Everything | @AngieAway15 juil. 202601:05:31

What does it really take to build a life around travel—before travel creators were even a thing?

Angie built an impressive life in PR,  interviewed with Donald Trump during The Apprentice, and experienced unforgettable moments like going behind the scenes at Harry Potter and Universal. But somewhere along the way, she realized she wanted something different.

She took the leap, left her successful career in NYC, and built a life centered around travel—one unexpected adventure, reinvention, and "yes" at a time. Now, she's the host of the popular podcast - Traveling with AAA!

If you've ever wondered what happens when you stop playing it safe and start choosing the life you actually want, this episode is for you.

This episode is for you if you've ever wondered:

  • What it was like creating travel content before it became a career
  • How travel can completely change the direction of your life
  • How to keep reinventing yourself without losing who you are

In this episode, we cover:

  • The heartbreaking worst day of work that changed her forever
  • The unexpected path from a demanding PR career in NYC to a solo travel trip around the world

  • The Bali yoga retreat story that is so weird that it sounds completely made up
  • How the travel creator industry has changed over the years and Angie's expert advice/insight
  • Finding love in the sweetest story that honestly feels like the plot of a Hallmark movie
  • Why saying "yes" has shaped every chapter of her life

Because sometimes the best travel stories aren't about the destination...

They're about the person you become along the way.

Our Nightmare First RV Trip Should've Scared Us Away - But It Didn’t | Camper Van Chaos01 juil. 202600:14:08

If this had been your first RV trip... would you have ever gone again?

In this solo episode of Take the Trip, I'm sharing the kinda hilarious (but slightly traumatic) story that started it all…

If you've ever wondered:

  • How we first got into RV travel
  • If traveling by camper van is easier than a travel trailer
  • How a total travel disaster changed everything

This story includes:

  • A “luxury” Mercedes Airstream.. that was completely busted.
  • A hurricane evacuation - and why we left at 3 a.m.
  • One very questionable campground (and life decision) in West Virginia

Sometimes the trips that test you the most become the stories you tell for years—and in our case, they changed the course of our lives.

Over the last 5.5 years, they've navigated full-time RV living, homeschooling, tornadoes, freaky travel days, community building, and all the unexpected lessons that come with life on the road.

This episode is for you if you've ever wondered:

  • What it's really like to raise kids while traveling full-time
  • What living with less teaches you about what actually matters
  • How long-term RV life changes your perspective on home, work, and adventure

In this episode, we cover:

  • Leaving traditional life behind for full-time RV travel
  • The realities of RV maintenance and life on the road
  • Homeschooling and family life in a 41-foot RV
  • Decluttering, minimalism, and letting go of "stuff"
  • Navigating tornadoes, travel setbacks, and unexpected challenges
  • Building friendships and finding community across the country
  • How they unexpectedly ended up being featured in a French documentary about American RVers

Sometimes the most interesting stories aren't about where you travel—they're about the life you build along the way.

What if travel wasn't just a vacation—but part of a child's education?

In this episode of Take the Trip, I sit down with kindergarten teacher Trisha DiPasquale, who found a way to bring global travel, culture, and adventure into her classroom through a program she created called Passport Adventures.

This episode is for you if you've ever wondered:

  • How to help kids become more curious about the world
  • Why travel can be such a powerful educational tool
  • How real-world experiences make learning more meaningful

Lessons Learned - 8 Things I’d Do Differently If I Started RV Life Over Again 06 mai 202600:14:00

I thought we were ready for RV life… but we made some mistakes that made it harder than it needed to be.

In this solo episode of Take the Trip, I’m sharing the real, unfiltered lessons from our RV journey — the things I would absolutely do differently if we were starting over today.

Because RV life isn’t just about hitting the road. It’s about how you plan, spend, connect, and adapt along the way.

And a few small decisions early on? They can make a huge difference.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever wondered:

  • What actually matters when you’re starting full-time RV life

  • How to avoid wasting money on gear you don’t need

  • How to build community on the road without feeling isolated

In this episode, I talk about:

  • • Why I wish we prioritized community sooner (and how it changes everything)

    • The RV gear we bought… and barely used

    • Why starting social media earlier would’ve opened more doors • Managing expectations with family while living on the road

    • The budgeting mistakes that can drain your savings fast

    • Choosing the right RV layout (and what I’d pick now)

    • Why researching RV brands and customer support matters more than you think

    • The upgrades I wish we made from day one

In this episode of Take the Trip, I sit down with Jeff and Monica Grant — a family who didn’t set out dreaming about RV life… but found themselves rethinking everything when packed schedules and housing frustrations weren’t giving them the life they actually wanted.

What started as hesitation turned into a complete lifestyle shift — one that changed how they travel, parent, and even educate their kids.

We talk about the real transition — not just the highlight reel — from structured, predictable days to learning, living, and figuring it out on the road.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever wondered:

    • What happens when one partner isn’t sold on RV life… but you try it anyway
    • How families actually make public school work while traveling full-time
    • Whether RV life can create more connection — or just more chaos

In this episode, we talk about:

  • • What finally made them consider RV life..

    • The reality of leaving behind routine and “normal” schedules

    • How their kids are navigating school on the road

She Stopped Chasing “Perfect” — and Learned to Live “Good Enough” on the Road | @aperfectlygoodenoughlife22 avr. 202600:54:11

What if the goal isn’t to do it all perfectly… but to do it well enough to actually enjoy your life?

In this episode of Take the Trip, I sit down with Stephanee to talk about full-time RV living, motherhood, and the quiet pressure so many women carry to “do it right” — and what happens when you finally let that go.

Their first attempt at RV life didn’t work.

They stepped away. Regrouped. And came back with a completely different mindset — one rooted in flexibility, community, and embracing what she calls a “perfectly good enough” life.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever wondered:

    • What it looks like to let go of perfection in motherhood, travel, and daily life
    • How RV families create a lifestyle that actually feels sustainable
    • Why doing “less, but better” can change everything

    • Building community on the road — and why it’s not always easy
    • Work camping, flexibility, and creating a rhythm that actually works
    • Letting go of unrealistic expectations and choosing what matters most

You don’t have to do everything.

You just have to do what works for your life.

She Became Known for Her Humor — But There’s Way More to Her Story | @adventureswithgabygaby15 avr. 202600:56:04

You ever realize you’ve been following someone for years — but barely know their real story?

In this episode of Take the Trip, I sit down with Gaby from @adventureswithgabygaby for a conversation that goes beyond just the funny, relatable moments she often shares on social media — and into the real life behind it all.

Because while her content might make you laugh, there’s a deeper story underneath: family dynamics, military life, marriage, motherhood, and the balancing act of showing up online while living a very real, very full life offline.

We talk about how her journey started, what’s changed over time, and why the most meaningful parts of her life aren’t always the ones that make it to the feed.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever wondered:

    • How families make RV life work while still managing careers, school schedules, and a home
    • What content creation looks like when your real life doesn’t fit a single niche
    • How family travel changes when kids grow older and dynamics shift

In this episode, we talk about:

    • Gabby’s journey from a weight loss page to RV life and travel
    • The role humor plays in her content — and why it works
    • The parts of her life that don’t always make it online
    • Family travel, parenting, and evolving dynamics as kids grow
    • Marriage, communication, and keeping things real
    • The impact of military life on their family and lifestyle
    • The pressure of social media — and choosing authenticity anyway
    • Creating memories over material things

Our RV Broke Down on the Way to a Funeral — And No One Could Help01 avr. 202600:18:35

We thought we were prepared for anything… until our RV broke down and no one could help us.

In this episode of Take the Trip, Bill and I share one of the most stressful travel days we’ve ever had — when our Keystone RV majorly malfunctioned just an hour into a drive home for a funeral.

What started as a routine travel day quickly turned into a full-blown roadside nightmare. Our leveling jacks/slide came down while towing and just wouldn’t retract - we were stuck on the side of the road with kids in extreme heat, and to make things worse — roadside assistance told us no one could tow us because our rig was too big. Thankfully no one was injured, but it was scary and so very stressful.

    Yeah… not exactly the plan.

We walk through exactly what happened, how we handled it in real time, and what we learned the hard way about RV maintenance, coverage, and problem-solving on the road.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever wondered:

    • What actually happens when your RV breaks down mid-trip

    • Can roadside assistance always help RVers?

    • What do you do when no one can tow your rig?

    • What does insurance cover?

    • Will my RV brand have my back in an emergency?

In this episode, we talk about:

    • The terrifying RV jack failure that left us stranded in our 5 year old Keystone Avalanche.

    • Why roadside assistance couldn’t help us

    • Troubleshooting under pressure (in the heat, with kids)

    • The moment we realized we were on our own

    • How one dollar store purchased came in CLUTCH!

    • The unexpected kindness we experienced along the way

    • The emotional side of dealing with travel stress during a family emergency

    • The time Kendra told a dirty joke at a funeral

RV life comes with freedom and adventure — but also moments like this.

If you’re traveling in an RV (or thinking about it), this is one of those stories you’ll want to hear before you find yourself in the same situation.

They Lean Into The Chaos & Comedy of RV Life | @GypzyHustle11 mars 202600:52:45

RV life might look peaceful from the outside — but sometimes the stories are downright chaotic.

In this episode of Take the Trip, I sit down with Heather from GypzyHustle to talk about the wild, strange, and completely unexpected moments that come with living life on the road.

From accidental, unhinged social media moments to pet psychics to encounters with coyotes in the middle of the night, Heather shares what it really looks like to live this lifestyle.

We also talk about the deeper side of RV life — finding community, staying authentic online, and embracing the messy moments that make the best stories later.

If you’ve ever wondered what life on the road really looks like behind the highlight reels… this episode delivers.

This episode is for you if you’ve ever wondered:

    •  What really goes wrong (and hilariously right) behind the scenes of RV life

    •  How travelers deal with the unexpected (and sometimes ridiculous) moments

    •  Why laughter might be one of the most important survival skills in RV life

In this episode, we talk about:

-The accidental and shocking reel that had RVers everywhere laughing

-A surprising (and slightly spooky) experience with a pet psychic -A late-night coyote encounter that had everyone on edge

-Truck trouble, chaos, and the kind of day you can only laugh about later

-Why authenticity resonates more than polished content on social media

-The realities of building community while living full-time on the road

-The unpredictable moments that become the best travel stories

Whether you're living the RV lifestyle, dreaming about it, or just love a wild story, this episode is a reminder that the best adventures rarely go exactly as planned.

And honestly… that’s usually where the best stories come from.

Hundreds of Campgrounds — And This Neighbor Drama Was a First | "City Boy"04 mars 202600:17:47

Ever had a camping trip take a turn you absolutely did not see coming?

In this episode of Take the Trip, I sit down with my husband to share the story of a camping experience that started off very normal… and escalated into one of the strangest campground encounters we have had after 5 years of RVing.

What began as a normal, beautiful l stay quickly shifted when loud neighbors pushed the limits — and a polite midnight request to quiet down didn’t go as expected.

We made a choice that most of the internet did NOT agree with.

Sometimes the most challenging part of the adventure isn’t the mountains or trails — it’s navigating people.

    If you’ve ever wondered:

-What do you do when campground neighbors cross the line?

-What does “choosing peace” actually look like in action?

In this episode, we talk about:

    • The camping trip that took an unexpected turn

    • Awkward confrontations

    • The surprisingly intense and unhinged reactions from the internet afterward

    • What Bill REALLY thinks of our embarrassing reels and my content shenanigans.

RV living isn’t just scenic drives and cozy campfires.

Sometimes it’s midnight drama and deciding who you want to be when things get weird.

Whether you’re living full-time in an RV, love weekend camping trips, or just appreciate a wild story from the road — this episode is equal parts bizarre, honest, and reflective.

They Built a Life on the Road — Before It Was Cool | @Nomad.Nesters25 févr. 202601:09:00

Full-time RV living wasn’t trendy when they started — it was risky, uncertain, and a little bit wild.

In this episode of Take the Trip, I sit down with Vern and Katie of Nomad Nesters — a family who chose full-time RV living before Instagram, before remote work was normal, and before there was a roadmap for how to do it “right.”

What began as a spontaneous trip turned into a decade on the road. No smartphones. No curated feeds. Just lawn chairs in an empty house, a questionable RV, and a decision that changed everything.

We talk about what it actually looked like to build a family lifestyle around adventure before it was popular — the breakdowns, the early RV community built through forums and rallies, homeschooling long before it was mainstream, and how reality TV only captured a tiny fraction of their story.

This one’s for you if you’ve ever wondered:

-Can full-time RV living actually strengthen a family — or does it expose every crack?

-What’s it really like to be stars of a reality TV show?

-What did RV life look like before the boom, the influencers, and the aesthetics?

In this episode, we talk about:

    • How a spontaneous beach trip turned into full-time RV living
    • The most unhinged potluck story you will ever hear
    • What it was like to choose this lifestyle before it was popular
    • The early days of RV life — breakdowns, bad generators, and learning the hard way
    • Building community before social media made it easy
    • Homeschooling on the road and how it shaped their kids
    • How living in a small space magnifies family relationships
    • Navigating health challenges while traveling full-time
    • What is was like behind the scenes on reality TV
    • Why giving back to the communities you visit matters
    • The long-term impact of raising kids on the road

Full-time RV living isn’t just about adventure — it’s about who you become when you're following your dreams and there is no crowd to follow.

Whether you’re deep in the RV lifestyle, dreaming about family travel, or just curious what life on the road really looks like this conversation is honest, reflective, and full of perspective.

In this episode of Take the Trip, I sit down with Kelly and Oscar from Spark Love and Wellness for an honest conversation about RV living, family, sobriety, health, and the power of community when you choose a less traditional lifestyle.

We talk about the early days of full-time travel — when excitement gave way to isolation — and how intentionally building community completely changed their experience. From parenting teens on the road, to prioritizing wellness (without perfection), to navigating sobriety in social travel spaces, this episode gets real about what it actually takes to thrive as a family on the road.

This one’s for you if you’ve ever wondered:

    • Can families really build community while traveling full-time?
    • What does parenting look like in an RV — especially with teens
    • How do you protect your health, wellness, and sobriety in a lifestyle built around movement and change?

    • The loneliness many RV families feel in the beginning — and how community changes everything

    • Parenting teens while living and traveling full-time in an RV • Travel days, chaos, and why that’s part of the adventure

    • Health and wellness on the road (yes, balance > perfection) • Sobriety and navigating social life while traveling

    • How kids can thrive in non-traditional education and environments

    • Why community isn’t optional — it’s essential

Whether you’re living the RV lifestyle, dreaming about it, or just navigating family life in a non-traditional way, this conversation is grounding, honest, and full of perspective.

They Traveled the World — Then Chose RV Life | @Gills_on_Wheels21 janv. 202600:48:27

Some travel dreams don’t happen overnight — they take decades.

In this episode of Take the Trip Podcast, I sit down with Patty Gill from Gills On Wheels to talk about what it really looks like to build a life on the road after years of military service, planning, pivoting, and adapting when things don’t go as expected.

Patti shares how a dream that started 20 years ago finally became full-time RV life — and how travel doesn’t always follow the plan you imagined (especially when COVID, rough roads, and real life show up).

We talk honestly about full-time RV living, the reality of chasing big travel goals, and what travel teaches you when you’re willing to stay flexible.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • Going from a military lifestyle to full-time RV life

    • What it really feels like when the dream finally becomes real

    • Traveling through Alaska — road conditions, challenges, and surprises

    • Why Hawaii looks very different when you travel without your RV

    • How COVID forced unexpected pivots to get on the road

    • What it meant to finally visit all 50 states and a country Patty would NOT return to...

    • Content creation on the road — consistency, connection, and showing up authentically

    • The life lessons travel teaches you when plans change

Whether you’re full-time RVing, dreaming about life on the road, or just curious what happens after the dream finally comes true — this conversation is real, grounded, and full of perspective.

Some conversations hit deeper than expected — this was one of them.

In this episode of Take the Trip Podcast, I sit down with Jenn Bethune, a well-known voice in the bus/RV life community, for an honest, heartfelt conversation about full-time travel with family, vulnerability, healing, and what it really looks like to share your life online while you’re still figuring it out.

We talk about living in a bus with family and how travel doesn’t pause real life — it brings it with you. Jenn opens up about vulnerability on social media, her personal healing journey (including her breast explant experience), body positivity, and how authentic content creation can help others feel less alone.

Jenn also shares her connection to the Gabby Petito case, and how that experience shaped her perspective.

    • Life in a bus and the creativity it takes to make it work (even when renovations do not go as planned

    • Showing up honestly and practicing vulnerability on social media
