#235: Two Market-Beating Stocks You've Never Heard Of

Reminder: Nexus II launches next week. Don’t miss out!
MyWallSt is extremely pleased to announce Nexus II.

Nexus II will debut in November but we have decided to cap membership to this exclusive club. To reserve your spot email us at pod@mywallst.com

#234: Robinhood is Now Officially a Gambling App
jeudi 31 octobre 2024 • Durée 41:12
Headlines were aflutter this week with news that Wall Street’s problematic cousin, Robinhood, will begin offering users the ability to gamble on the upcoming United States election. Mike and Anne Marie unpack the offering and what it means for Robinhood’s topline and “trustworthy” branding.
Later on, Mike discusses Calloway Golf’s decision to spin off Top Golf. The acquisition was only completed in 2021 but the economics of chicken wings and corporate events have obviously lost their luster.
Finally, Anne Marie dives into Snapchat and Reddit’s latest earnings calls to understand how their advertisement models differ and what their futures might hold.

#225: Your Next Buy: Nike or SpaceX?
jeudi 29 août 2024 • Durée 50:45
Nike’s stock hit a hot streak in August, up almost 15%. However, it’s coming off a five-year low. Tune in and decide if this legendary sportswear brand is worth a buy or if years of mismanagement have left the swoosh high and dry.
The team also discusses SpaceX’s efforts to save the astronauts stranded in space by the Boeing Starliner. SpaceX is now the U.S. government’s default space contractor but the rocket launcher seems unlikely to IPO. Don’t fret though Elon fans! Mike has some ideas how you can still get a slice of the SpaceX pie.
Finally, we run through Eli Lilly’s latest release, Chick-fil-A’s streaming service, and Canada’s EV tariffs.

The IPO market has been pretty dry in 2022, so when a company soars more than 4-fold on its public debut, people take notice.

In this episode, we also:
- Discuss why private equity is buying up so many public software companies,
- Take a deep dive into Hubspot,
- Give you two elevator pitches on Arcos Dorados Holdings and Aritzia.
Plus lots more.
