I had a conversation with a friend recently where I mentioned all of the things I wanted to get done by the end of the day. I wanted to record a podcast, finish off an old project and start on a new one, edit the week's content, and take the girls to the park. Within two hours because that seemed reasonable. When I say the silence was LOUD. My friend just stared at me before she said “You want to do two full days of work in two hours.” I didn’t even realise, and yet I would have been angry with myself if I hadn’t gotten all that work done. Today’s episode is all about the expectations that we put on ourselves, and how to move past the negative self-talk. This episode is something that is so incredibly important to me, Health and fitness is something that I prioritise every day now but it wasn’t always. Even though I’m only 33 years old I’ve been through a LOT with my health and fitness journey, There was a time when the only liquids I drank were Coca-Cola or Beer, I had Maccas for breakfast, ate a pub lunch every day and I gained 25 kilograms in the space of 12 months. Something happened (which I’ll tell you about in this episode) and I began the journey of losing it all only to find that when I had the abs, and hit my goal weight I was more miserable than ever before.
