Today on the State of the Old Republic Podcast… we’ve reached the end of an era. Game Update 7.9 — Legacy Reborn — is almost here, and with it, the finale of the Legacy of the Sith storyline. It’s been a long trek: from Elom, to Ruhnuk, to Voss, Hutta, Ilum, and more. And now it’s taking us to a world steeped in ancient Sith history. We’re going to Khar Shian.

 As they say, when one door closes, another door opens. As Legacy of the Sith ends, the next era is set to begin. I’ll share the first details about 8.0.

And finally, this week, I’ll give you an update on DirectX12, May the 4th, and everything else happening in the Old Republic.

Art Modernization is a big part of 7.6. Tython, Korriban, and Ilum are looking great, but how about our characters? I’ll tell you about where we are with character modernization.

Dynamic Encounters, the Lair Boss, new augments, and a new Comlink UI are all coming in 7.6. Story is not. I’ll tell you about the new features in this Game Update.

Finally, this week, I’ll discuss Life Day, Cartel Mark additions and sales, and all of the other events happening in December.

Game Update 6.1.1 released in April, it’s now June, which means it’s Summer in many parts of the world, but what about the Old Republic? I’ll tell you what’s in store for the Summer of SWTOR 2020.

We know that in Star Wars: The Old Republic that Darths are a dime-a-dozen. That doesn’t mean one doesn’t come along that grabs our attention. This week, I’ll explore the mystery of Darth Rivix.

It’s the greatest Star Wars movie ever made and it just turned 40. I’ll share some thoughts and memories of The Empire Strikes Back.
