S2E13 Feeling the Burn[out]
Saison 2 · Épisode 13
mercredi 6 octobre 2021 • Durée 01:00:11
This week I’m joined by the Broadway Husbands, Stephen Hanna and Bret Shuford. In addition to a slew of incredible Broadway shows and Ballet between them, they also host their own podcast, have a Broadway clothing line, and are avid Disney lovers too! This week, we discuss the burnout factor in both the arts and mediumship, and explore ways to acknowledge it while still loving what we do. We’ll also discuss ways of tapping into our full potential, trusting the multiple pathways the Universe presents to us, in addition to sharing tips for maximizing our full potential creatively. As usual, we’ll discuss Stephen and Bret’s reading (I read them as a couple), the Soul who made total sense AFTER the reading, and I’ll also answer what happens during a reading when the person you were expecting to come through doesn’t. I also debunk the rumor on if some of us are just “unreadable” as well as share the story about the time I went to read someone and got NOTHING. If you’d like to learn more about Bret, Stephen, and the Broadway Husbands, feel free to check out the following!

S2E4 No Costco Sandwiches
Saison 2 · Épisode 4
lundi 21 juin 2021 • Durée 56:28
This week I’m joined by the incredibly talented, grounded, bright light that is Emma Hunton. Broadway credits include Spring Awakening (B’way debut), and Next To Normal. Tour: Wicked (Elphaba), Next to Normal (Natalie), and Les Miserables (Young Cosette), Freaky Friday (Ellie). Emma can currently be seen on tv in Freeform’s Good Trouble as Davia. This week is probably one of my favorite episodes, as we spend such a good amount of time talking about Emma’s reading, and her incredible Mom, Erica, who passed away a few years ago. Emma shares some really beautiful stories of her mom, in addition to many details from our reading together including a special party where no Costco sandwiches were allowed! Wait until she shares the autocorrect moment that validated her choosing me as the medium, it’s nuts! In addition, we’ll talk about the power of manifesting, but still working our ass off to get there. Don’t forget, manifestation merely provides the opportunity coming our way. From there, it’s all hard work, networking, and skill. Or another explanation: Manifestation provides the job interview. From there, we have to sell it and EARN that job. We also chat about reincarnation, coming back within the same family unit, and the big questions to ask before booking a reading. Finally, we’ll discuss which character could benefit the most from a medium, in addition to our favorite Showgirls (Yes, THAT movie) drinking game, and the glory of the movie Spice World. Thanks for tuning in for this really special episode, and don’t forget, the instagram giveaway closes tonight for a free reading with me!

S2E3 The Double Windsor
Saison 2 · Épisode 3
lundi 14 juin 2021 • Durée 54:05
This week I’m joined by Broadway’s ridiculously talented Michaeljon Slinger. MJ’s Broadway credits include Billy Elliot, West Side Story, How to Succeed, Evita, Matilda, Side Show, Hello Dolly, and the upcoming Mrs. Doubtfire. In addition, MJ has also appeared at the Met in La Traviata as well as countless film and tv performances. This week, I discuss the most frequently asked question (and my favorite): Do pets come through during readings? MJ also shares his Juilliard experience and the inspirations that make up every step of choreography we see on stage. We’ll also discuss knowing our body, our limits, and using it to tell a story. I share my entire list from head to toe of what means what on mine during a reading, as clairsentience (clear-feeling) is one of my strongest abilities. We’ll also discuss MJ’s reading in-depth, as well as chat about his incredible father who passed ten years ago and the beautiful evidential information his Dad provided during the reading. I’ll also share my experience on what it looks like on my end if someone is meant to be a parent.

Welcome back to the Stage Door! This week I’m joined by the incredible Nicky Venditti! Nicky has some pretty impressive credits including the Broadway, 1NT and 2NT tours of Wicked where he served as the dance captain for almost a good 12 years, in addition to the NT of A Chorus Line, Contact, and off-B’way Trip of Love. A native Buffalonian, Nicky has returned to his roots and is pursuing a lifelong goal and passion for fitness through the launch of his new business Nicky Venditti Fitness and Wellness. This week, we discuss grounding in the dirt, pre-show or pre-reading diets, why it’s ok to get frustrated, bored, or restless with our dream job without needing to feel shame, and the limits we have to set for ourselves to protect our energy. Nicky also shares some Michael Bennett and Baayork Lee stories, why the ghosts of a Chorus Line, and Jimmy gives his best Moira Rose impression. S2E1 When We’re Done
Saison 2 · Épisode 1
mardi 1 juin 2021 • Durée 58:18
Welcome to the Season Two premiere of Stage Door Medium!
I hope you’re well and ready for some more in-depth discussions on energy-work, mediumship and the arts! This week, I’m joined by the ultra-talented Sally Wilfert. Sally has appeared in the Broadway productions of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Assassins, and King David, as well as the National Tour of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and countless others.
In addition to being one of the most talented folks out there, she’s genuinely one of the kindest and most grounded people as well.
This week, Sally and I discuss the importance of making time for ourselves before the job and why it’s so important if we’re to bring our whole selves to the work. We also share some tips to ensure we enter the room and leave the room (audition or reading) with our own energy versus that of others. Trust me, as a Medium, it’s a real thing and I call it the "energetic gunk build up". In addition, Sally shares some beautiful memories, pieces of advice, and funny stories of her best friend, Rebecca Luker, who passed away in December of last year. We also discuss the beautiful new album, “All the Girls” that Sally and Rebecca created, in addition to the mind-blowing story about how the album transformed from a live soundboard recording into a full-blown studio album. In addition, we’ll discuss Sally’s reading, the best Adam Guettel advice for anyone playing Margaret in Piazza, and the characters Sally has played that could benefit most from a Medium. If you’re interested in developing your own Spiritual abilities, I’ll also share a bit more on Clairsentience and why it feels like the old Operation Board Game to me at times.
Next week, we’re back to our regularly scheduled episodes on Mondays at 7PM!

S1E18 The Movie In My Mind
Saison 1 · Épisode 18
lundi 19 avril 2021 • Durée 57:22
Content Disclaimer: Please note that this week’s episode contains discussions on eating disorders and suicide.
Welcome to our final episode of season one of Stage Door Medium! This week, I’m joined by the insanely talented and insightful Tony Award nominated performer, Eva Noblezada! Eva’s Broadway credits include Kim in Miss Saigon and she is currently set to return in the role of Eurydice in Hadestown when Broadway resumes. This week, Eva and I discuss the importance of finding levity amidst heavy work, both in mediumship and the arts, as well as the need to separate ourselves from our job when we’re off the clock. In addition, we’ll talk all about the solar plexus chakra this week, the importance of remembering our wings, and I’ll share some tips I use before a reading to help stay grounded as well as protected. As usual, Eva will discuss her reading this week and I’ll share some insight on what I’ve learned in terms of who chooses to come through first and why. As usual, we’ll play our rapid fire wrap-up, as well as discuss why Patti LuPone might not like the turntable too much in Hadestown, and how Audra McDonald singing “Flowers” just might be the performance we all need. Also, be sure to check out Eva’s page and podcast, @theamarilloproject which focuses on growth through affirmation and conversation!
Thanks for tuning in this season! Stay tuned for Season 2 announcements as well as some exciting live events I’ll be doing locally this summer. See you soon!

S1E17 Working With Block[ages]
Saison 1 · Épisode 17
lundi 12 avril 2021 • Durée 56:43
Welcome to an extra special week of Stage Door Medium!
This week I’m joined by Broadway star and Tony award winner, Stephanie J Block. Stephanie’s Broadway credits include The Boy From Oz, Wicked, Anything Goes, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Falsettos, The Pirate Queen, 9to5, and The Cher Show (For which she won the Tony for Best Actress). Broadway aside though,Stephanie is quite possibly one of the kindest, most gracious humans I’ve ever met, so needless to say, it was a thrill and an honor to sit with her for a reading and then get to meet again for this episode.
This week we cover so many topics, so fasten your wigs because it’s a good one! This week, Stephanie and I sit down to discuss the importance and power of saying “No”, or better yet, “No, and here’s why…” We’ll also talk about Stephanie’s time in The Boy From Oz, one of Jimmy’s future guests who was a professional Liza Minnelli paparazzi decoy, and how to shrug off those less than kind reviews.
As usual, we’ll discuss Stephanie’s reading I gave her, but we really go in-depth this week, so if you’re equal parts interested in both Broadway AND mediumship, then this is the reading recap for you. I’ll also share a little bit of my prep-work beforehand with a White Light visualization, how to protect your energy during a reading, as well as discuss what the “loud-clap” sound means for me regarding someone’s passing when I channel.
We’ll also discuss The Cher Show and the deeply Spiritual connection present through the use of three Cher’s and why it’s no different in real-life: We can call on past, present, and future versions of ourselves when we need it most.
To close, we’ll play the usual wrap-up game, as well as discuss why you’ll never look at the “It’s a Small World” ride at Disneyland the same way ever again.
Thanks for tuning in, and get ready for our final episode of Season 1 next Monday at 7PM!

S1E16 The Name Game
Saison 1 · Épisode 16
lundi 5 avril 2021 • Durée 57:08
S1E16: The Name Game Featuring Lindsay Heather Pearce
Welcome back to another episode of Stage Door Medium!
This week, I’m joined by the incredibly talented and equally kind Lindsay Heather Pearce. Lindsay made her Broadway debut last year starring as Elphaba in Wicked just a few weeks before the Broadway shutdown. You may also recognize Lindsay from a little show called Glee as the character Harmony (The Gerber Baby), a contract that was offered to her after being a runner up on the tv show, The Glee Project.
This week we cover all the topics! To start, Lindsay and I discuss growing up in the 90s (Sega Genesis Lion King) and both being born with extreme hearing issues. It’s so interesting to talk about, considering that Lindsay’s career is centered around the importance of pitch, and clairaudience is one of my strongest abilities as a medium. We’ll also discuss Glee, working under tense conditions, and of course, Wicked.
This week, we discuss Lindsay’s reading in-depth, starting with the concept of Spirit Animal Totems and Lindsay’s connection to crows. I’ll also share how to best identify yours! (Hint: it’s not via a FB quiz). From there, we’ll chat about Lindsay’s amazing grandfather, Bill, and how he had me up at 6AM ready to go for her reading at 1PM. If you’re a big Wicked fan, you’ll appreciate the specific show reference her grandfather gave about opening night right before that iconic entrance. Finally, we close with the “Lindsay Banana” comment that left us both super confused for a while and why it ties back to tonight’s episode title!

S1E15 Compare & Despair
Saison 1 · Épisode 15
lundi 29 mars 2021 • Durée 55:12
S1E15: Compare and Despair Featuring Josh Lamon
This week, I’m joined by the incredible Josh Lamon! Josh’s Broadway credits include Hair, Into the Woods, Elf, Finding Neverland, Groundhog Day, and most recently, The Prom (This show was just so so special!).
This week Josh shares his experience making his Broadway debut in Hair. Fun fact, it’s one of my favorite topics to ask because each time an artist retells that story, I can still see the excitement and magic in their expression on their face, and it’s so special to witness. Josh and I also talk about finding the joy and beauty in our singularity, and remembering that what we have to offer the world is unlike anyone else!
We’ll also discuss the too-short-lived smash, The Prom, what the experience was like, and why it may not be losing its relevance anytime soon.
Josh shares what it’s like to work as an understudy and standby, fighting the temptation to copy another actor’s work, and gives the most beautiful piece of advice with the “Compare and Despair” mentality and why we only set ourselves up for failure when we do this.
As usual, we’ll discuss Josh’s reading, the beautiful message from Spirit right out of the gate, and why you should always come into a reading open, but not gullible. I’ll also share some tips to make sure that when you go into a reading you’re not offering up too much information. I’ll be doing a blog post on this in the future, as there’s so much to be said on the topic!
In addition, we’ll discuss our love for Angela Lansbury, Murder She Wrote (I’d crush this category on Jeopardy), as well as discuss Josh’s podcast, Josh Swallows Broadway!
