Often with awe and devotion, we watch Swami when He materializes gifts - a big diamond ring for one, a beautiful emerald for the other or an out-of-the-world sweet dish for the third one. But the most amazing gift that Swami has bestowed on some chosen few is the 'Gift of Life' itself by bringing them back from the brink of disease and death.

Of course, it's nothing new. It has happened with all incarnations, be it Rama, Krishna, Jesus or Buddha. And for every one story of resurrection that we have read or heard like the story of Mother Subbamma or the coming back of Mr Walter Cowan or Brigadier Bose, there are scores and hundreds we do not know or probably will never know. In this satsang, Mrs Sundaravally Suresh, a teacher of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Prasanthi Nilayam, enthusiastically shares her life-altering experiences.

The celebration of Onam is the glorification of the virtue of complete surrender that King Bali exemplified. Fondly hailed as the 'Little Nightingale of India Cinema', Ms K S Chitra was awarded India's third-highest civilian award Padma Bhushan in 2021 and Padma Shri in 2005 for her valuable contributions towards the Indian musical fraternity. Few singers have accomplished the heights and have won the hearts of as many people as Padma Bhushan KS Chithra has. A singer with a voice as sweet as a human voice could ever be and a personality equally sweet, she has recorded over 30,000 songs in various Indian languages, as well as foreign languages such as Malay, Latin, Arabic, Sinhalese, English and French. But little is known about how she performed in front of Bhagawan Baba in Prasanthi Nilayam way back in 1994. In this exclusive conversation recorded in April 2024, she shares how she has experienced the most edifying shower of His grace at every step of her life, helping her especially to deal with the trying vicissitudes of her life. She also shares some precious memories of performing before Swami, the guidance from His unseen presence and the life lessons that she has learnt in the process. Swami has been her anchor and she continues to be grateful for every ray of grace that has not only sheltered her but also made her shine as she strives to walk on the path shown by Him.

In our ongoing series featuring Artists sharing their experiences with Swami, we present Ms Nandinii Rao speaking about Sri Sathya Sai Baba and her musical journey. As part of the Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana Mahotsavam, Ms Nandinii Rao and her team presented a devotional music program at Sai Kulwant Hall in Prasanthi Nilayam. Following her concert, she graciously shared her reflections at the studios of the Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre.

An engineer with a passion for science and mechanics, when Sri V Ramalingam heard about Bhagawan materialising Vibhuti and other objects, he dismissed him right away as a magician. This was in late 60s. In the early 70s, a colleague gave him a book about Bhagawan. He felt the book was too good to be true, it seemed like a fantasy to him. However, when an opportunity knocked for him to visit Prasanthi Nilayam, he decided to take that chance to investigate himself directly and then come to his final conclusions. And as they say, "He came, he saw and he was conquered." Conquered by the aura of Sai, overwhelmed by His omniscience and transformed by the touch of His love. This is the thrilling tale of Sri V Ramalingam who has been serving in the Sri Sathya Sai Information Technology Centre of Prasanthi Nilayam since 2003. Even though he is an octogenarian now, he continues to be active in His divine mission.

An engineer turned litigator Mr J Sai Deepak practices as an arguing counsel primarily before the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law from IIT Kharagpur’s Law School in 2009 and has carved a niche for himself as a litigator in civil, commercial and constitutional matters. He has been part of several landmark cases, such as those related to the Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple, the Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and is also the counsel for the royal family of Kashi in the case demanding a constitutional review of the Places of Worship Act, 1991. In 2019, he was awarded the Young Alumni Achiever’s Award by his alma mater IIT Kharagpur. Apart from delivering scholarly lectures on constitutional issues, he writes prolifically for leading newspapers and magazines. He is author of the bestselling first book of the Bharat Trilogy, "India, That Is Bharat: Coloniality, Civilisation, Constitution." While he is a much sought-after speaker in the current times on issues related to Bharat's culture, constitution and civilisation, what most of us do not know is that he was born with the Divine blessing of Bhagawan and in fact shares his birthday with Swami Himself. In this conversation, he opens his heart to share what Swami means to him and how without Bhagawan's indelible Presence in his life he would not have been where he is today.

Bhagawan laid the foundation stone for the first hospital in Puttaparthi - the Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital way back in 1954. That was the beginning of the medicare mission which later had a new and expanded General Hospital and two Super Speciality Hospitals, one each in Puttaparthi and Bengaluru. Even though thousands of poor and needy were served in these Temples of Healing, Bhagawan said that this was not enough. In 2006 He launched the Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital which is literally a 'hospital on the wheels' so that now in stead of the downtrodden coming to the hospital, the hospital could go to the door steps of the poor. Dr K Narasimhan, the Director of the Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital gives us a glimpse into the genesis and the growth and philosophy of this noble initiative of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust.

As a young chemical engineer from the University of Madras who excelled in his professional career, Mr S Thyagarajan was dismissive of Bhagawan when He heard about Him in the 1990s. But during this period, one day in a flight he met an American who told him something about Bhagawan which literally shook him. Now he wanted to discover who Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is. And he says, "I came, I saw and I was conquered." This, however, is only like a trailer of his awesome journey with Swami since then. Once 'he was conquered' he decided to dedicate his everything to Him. The way he did it and continues to do even now when he is in his seventies is like a textbook for anyone who wants to lead the life of a true sevadal and exist only to serve. Ms S Thyagarajan is the former All India Coordinator for Disaster Management Teams of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations. He is the one who initiated and managed the 'Liquid Love' project of the Sai Organisation for decades. There are many such projects of the Sai Organisation where he has been deeply involved in and even now serves in many capacities guiding the young sevadals of the Organisation.
