Shelby Taylor blends folk music with comedy to weave musical stories. Coming to us from northern Colorado by way of Florida, Shelby released her debut EP "Taylored World" in 2020 after dropping a string of catchy singles. Many of her songs have a theatrical quality to their storytelling, and she has built a massive following on TikTok with over 183 thousand followers. In late 2021, Shelby signed her first recording contract with So Fierce Music, a label founded as a haven for those marginalized and disadvantaged by the mainstream music industry because of their age, race, gender or sexual identity.

Sarah Christine isn't your typical singer/songwriter. Hailing from the ski Mecca of Aspen by way of Minnesota, she moved to Colorado to be closer to the outdoors, and the outdoors have responded in kind, providing inspiration for songs like "Aspen", which you'll hear on this episode.

We begin our series with Denver's own, and our friends, The Mazlows. The Mazlows are a pop punk powerhouse that hails from Denver, Colorado. Formed in 2017, the four-piece band released their debut album "Community Locker" in August 2020 after a year and a half in the making.

You might recognize The Mazlows as one of the acts that performed on The Hallow Stream, our Halloween streaming fundraiser we did back in October, and this episode comes from that session. Recorded and mixed at The Keep studios in Denver by engineer Nick Sullivan, The Mazlows were kind enough to perform several songs from their new album "Community Locker". Loudspeaker is also partnering with The Mazlows to bring "Community Locker" to vinyl through our ColoRadio Selects program. Pre-orders are now available with shipping in early 2021.
