This is the trailer to my brand new podcast So, You Work In Film? - I'm delighted to welcome you to my little corner of the interwebs!
So, You Work In Film? is about chatting to the people who work in film and make this industry what it is. We discuss their careers, their life paths but also topics like AI, the challenges faced by women, the evolution of the industry and much more.
I am not aiming for perfection in any way; just genuine connections and a better understanding of the humans behind the job titles.
Enjoy!

Lindsay is a BAFTA Cymru Award Winning Costume Designer with over 20 years experience in television, commercials, theatre and live music events.
We discussed her work on contemporary projects (including Doctor Who), where she sources the clothes and where they go once the shoot has wrapped. We also revisit the infamous tin of buttons, a shared memory and the start of Lindsay's passion for costume design.

We're ending 2024 with a treat!
In this episode, I am talking to Sam Tung, storyboard artist, writer and director. Sam's love of comics and drawing landed him in Los Angeles where he has been working as a storyboard artist for about 10 years.
A dinosaur and dog enthusiast - did we just become best friends?! - Sam is also writing and directing his own stories and projects, which we discuss in more detail in the episode. Sam has also storyboarded a lot of frames for Twisters, this past summer's blockbuster and a true inspiration for this podcast.

Sarah Little - Producers' Assistant
Saison 1 · Épisode 8
samedi 3 mai 2025 • Durée 36:16
For the 8th and last episode of season 1, I spoke to Sarah Little who is a producers' assistant in London.
Sarah had a very successful career in social media until 2 or so years ago. That is when she gave it all up (in a very organised and clever way!) to chase her dream to work in the film industry.
Now, she is a producers' assistant and her days are filled to the brim by a multitude of tasks, from making cracking cuppas to organising test screenings, from production meetings to teaching Scarlett Johansson how to use boil-in-the-bag rice!
It was fascinating to chat to Sarah about her career change and a lovely, inspiring way to end the first season of the podcast - here is to many more :)

Steve Wilsher - Stunt Professional
Saison 1 · Épisode 7
mercredi 2 avril 2025 • Durée 40:54
In this episode, I chat to Steve Wilsher who is a stunt professional. He started his career in Wales in 1974 and is now living and working in Canada.
Steve has so much experience and so much anecdotes, it was really hard to edit our chat down to 40 minutes! We talked about his career, his many hats within the stunt world, Tom Cruise and his determination - the characteristic of a Welshman!
We also had a special guest - Steve's dog - who is mentioned a few times and makes an appearance with his squeaky toy :)
If you want to check Steve's impressive career, here is his IMDB profile: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1036230/
Enjoy!
