With our 100th episode nearly upon us, I have decided to delve into the archives and listen back to some of my favourite episodes from the past 3.5 years! Sliding Doors 25 is a four-part series that delves into the iconic film’s backstory. Speaking with cast and crew about their very own ‘Sliding Doors’ moments alongside a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this iconic 90s movie classic, 25 years after its release. In the final episode of the series we take it back to our roots and delve into some amazing Sliding Doors Moments…..not only do we hear from the cast and crew but celeb fans Laura Whitmore, Steven Bartlett, Bradley Walsh and Rachel Stevens discuss their sliding doors moments and love of the film. And we reflect on the impact the film has made to our everyday culture, 25 years on!

With our 100th episode nearly upon us, I have decided to delve into the archives and listen back to some of my favourite episodes from the past 3.5 years! Martin Kemp is an actor, musician and director, best known as the base guitarist in Spandau Ballet and for playing the role of Steve Owen in Eastenders. Spandau Ballet became one of the biggest bands of the 80s, touring the world and having huge success with songs such as 'True' and 'Gold.' Martin is equally known for his acting career staring in films such as 'The Krays' and playing Billy Flynn in the West End, as well as winning best male actor at the NTAs for his villainous role as Steve Owen. He has also written two books including one with Shirlie, his lovely wife of over 30 years, and success runs in the family with his son Roman and daughter Harley. Today he can be seen on our screen as a fan favourite on Celebrity Gogglebox and touring around the UK with his Back to the 80's DJ sets!


In this episode Martin opens up on his amazing life journey and all the stepping stone moments that have got him to where he is today, as well as some great stories and memories! We chat about his dreams and visualisations of being a pop star and the moment when that finally came true! Martin opens up about the traumatic time when he discovered his brain tumours and how being offered a role in Eastenders ultimately saved his life. He has a brilliant outlook on life and embracing the opportunities we are presented with. And when we really drill it down, if he hadn't have gone to drama club....would he be where he is today?

In this episode Barbara reflects on an early Sliding Doors decision to leave her job for a music gig - and how if she hadn't, would most definitely not be where she is today! We chat about her cautious nature and how taking chances in acting opened up the doors to her pop career. Sliding Doors with Ade Adepitan14 Mar 202401:06:04

Ade Adepitan is a TV presenter, Paralympic Medallist and Journalist. With a career spanning over 20 years, he is a disability advocate and one of the first physically disabled television presenters in the UK. Born in Lagos, Nigeria and raised in East London, he survived polio as youngster after he began to lose the use of his legs. Becoming a wheelchair basketball player, he was part of the British team that secured a Bronze medal at the Paralympics, Silver in the European Championships and Gold in The World Championships; And in 2005 he was made an MBE for his services to disability sport. He has won many awards for his work as a presenter at the Paralympics (including a BAFTA) and has hosted countless documentaries and Children in Need. 


In this episode we get stuck in with the many Sliding Doors Moments Ade has had in his life, including catching Polio and the 'what if' moment he met his wife. Ade has an incredible outlook on life, sports and the challenges we face, especially growing up as a Nigerian family in the 70s in the UK. We delve into the life saving decision Ade made in his teenage years to move to Spain to play basketball. He opens up about the incredible achievement of crawling up a volcano for a documentary, however if it wasn't for his strong will and a courageous decision things would have been very different. And of course we discuss the Paralympics - and how being part of the Channel 4 bid to host them- changed his life!

Will Best is a presenter, broadcaster and entrepreneur and is currently best known as the co-host of Big Brother alongside AJ Odudu. He began presenting on some of the UK's biggest youth music channels including MTV, T4 and 4 Music and since then has hosted live coverage across global music festivals, broadcast for BBC Three, Sky Arts and Channel 5 amongst many other impressive credits. Will is also the co-founder of the award winning drinks brand Bloody Drinks and is currently on our screens presenting the revival of Celebrity Big Brother.

Bradley Walsh is an actor, comedian, television presenter, singer and former professional footballer. He presents some of TV’s most loved shows such as The Chase, starred in Coronation Street and Doctor Who, has sold out countless comedy shows and also has two top 15 albums! Growing up in Watford, he went on to become a professional footballer. However, when his career ended due to injury, he went on to become a blue coat and got his big break on the Royal Variety show in 1993 and the rest is history! This propelled Bradley into his career in entertainment and then on to become an established actor and a true national treasure!


In this episode Bradley tells us all about his incredible journey across his multi-facetted career. We chat all about how breaking his ankle in a football match ultimately led him to the world of entertainment and straight on to the comedy scene. Chanté Joseph is a writer, journalist, presenter and host of the Guardian's Pop Culture Podcast and frequently writes for publications including British Vogue, the i paper, Gal-Dem and the Huffington Post. She is a versatile journalist, with her work ranging from celebrity interviews to cultural commentary and first-person reportage. Chanté also presented Channel 4’s How Not To Be Racist for two seasons and she is a skilled public speaker and regularly gives keynote speeches and hosts panel discussions. She is also currently writing for her first book A Quick Ting On: The Black British Power Movement.

This week's episode is a little different than usual....To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the film Sliding Doors, and to mark the 160th anniversary of the tube, we have come together to bring you an exclusive compilation episode. We reached out to TfL staff, customers and the general public- to find out some amazing Sliding Doors moments you have had in your lives and we have put some of our favourites together! We will be hearing from 8 different people all about their own Sliding Doors moments and decisions and what might have been if they had never happened...from love stories to life changing moments we have it all, and we will hear from TfL's Commissioner Andy Lord all about the tube's anniversary celebrations.
