With our 100th episode nearly upon us, I have decided to delve into the archives and listen back to some of my favourite episodes from the past 3.5 years! Over the coming weeks we will re-release the Sliding Doors moments from some great guests and discuss some of my thoughts and feeling. Sliding Doors 25 is a four-part series that delves into the iconic film’s backstory. Speaking with cast and crew about their very own ‘Sliding Doors’ moments alongside a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this iconic 90s movie classic, 25 years after its release. In the final episode of the series we take it back to our roots and delve into some amazing Sliding Doors Moments…..not only do we hear from the cast and crew but celeb fans Laura Whitmore, Steven Bartlett, Bradley Walsh and Rachel Stevens discuss their sliding doors moments and love of the film. And we reflect on the impact the film has made to our everyday culture, 25 years on!

Martin Kemp is an actor, musician and director, best known as the base guitarist in Spandau Ballet and for playing the role of Steve Owen in Eastenders. Spandau Ballet became one of the biggest bands of the 80s, touring the world and having huge success with songs such as 'True' and 'Gold.' Martin is equally known for his acting career staring in films such as 'The Krays' and playing Billy Flynn in the West End, as well as winning best male actor at the NTAs for his villainous role as Steve Owen. He has also written two books including one with Shirlie, his lovely wife of over 30 years, and success runs in the family with his son Roman and daughter Harley. Today he can be seen on our screen as a fan favourite on Celebrity Gogglebox and touring around the UK with his Back to the 80's DJ sets!

In this episode Martin opens up on his amazing life journey and all the stepping stone moments that have got him to where he is today, as well as some great stories and memories! We chat about his dreams and visualisations of being a pop star and the moment when that finally came true! Martin opens up about the traumatic time when he discovered his brain tumours and how being offered a role in Eastenders ultimately saved his life. He has a brilliant outlook on life and embracing the opportunities we are presented with. And when we really drill it down, if he hadn't have gone to drama club....would he be where he is today?

Ade Adepitan is a TV presenter, Paralympic Medallist and Journalist. With a career spanning over 20 years, he is a disability advocate and one of the first physically disabled television presenters in the UK. Born in Lagos, Nigeria and raised in East London, he survived polio as youngster after he began to lose the use of his legs. Becoming a wheelchair basketball player, he was part of the British team that secured a Bronze medal at the Paralympics, Silver in the European Championships and Gold in The World Championships; And in 2005 he was made an MBE for his services to disability sport. He has won many awards for his work as a presenter at the Paralympics (including a BAFTA) and has hosted countless documentaries and Children in Need. 

In this episode we get stuck in with the many Sliding Doors Moments Ade has had in his life, including catching Polio and the 'what if' moment he met his wife. Ade has an incredible outlook on life, sports and the challenges we face, especially growing up as a Nigerian family in the 70s in the UK. We delve into the life saving decision Ade made in his teenage years to move to Spain to play basketball. He opens up about the incredible achievement of crawling up a volcano for a documentary, however if it wasn't for his strong will and a courageous decision things would have been very different. And of course we discuss the Paralympics - and how being part of the Channel 4 bid to host them- changed his life!

Sonny Jay is a Presenter, Radio DJ, host of Capital radio’s late show and former winner of 13th series of ITV's Dancing on Ice. Sonny rose to fame in 2012 when he got to the finals of Britain's Got Talent as part of the band Loveable Rogues. In 2015 pop’s loss was radio’s gain, as Sonny dedicated himself to a broadcasting career. He joined Capital in 2017, initially presenting overnights before joining the Capital Breakfast Show alongside his great friends Roman Kemp and Sian Welby.

In this episode we chat about Sonny's new lease of life a year on from going solo with his late night radio show and we find out all about why he got on to and went on to win Dancing on Ice. We discuss the Sliding Doors moment of Sonny not going to 6th form and how this was the catalyst to his career in entertainment and starting Loveable Rogues. Sam McKnight MBE is a hairstylist renowned for creating the most iconic looks and his work with celebrities such as Kate Moss, Princess Diana and Lady Gaga. Early on in his career Sam was an independent session stylist working for high-profile editorial shoots and a firm favourite at Vogue. In the early ‘90s Sam was best known for creating Princess Diana’s iconic slicked back hairstyle and became her personal hair stylist for 7 years and he has, and continues, to work extensively with supermodels Christy Turlington, Kate Moss & Naomi Campbell. He now has his own range of luxury haircare products - Hair by Sam McKnight and last year he was awarded an MBE for services to the fashion and beauty industries.

Will is a sixth generation farmer who spreads his passion for farming through documenting his warm, entertaining and uplifting adventures on his farm. Over the coming weeks we will re-release the Sliding Doors moments from some great guests and discuss some of my thoughts and feeling. Kelvin & Liz Fletcher are the dynamic duo who both star in the hit ITV Be show, Fletcher's Family Farm. Kelvin is an actor best known for playing Andy Sugden in Emmerdale for 20 years and also as the winner of Strictly Come Dancing in 2019. Liz is an actor and voiceover artist who has appeared in a number of roles both on stage and screen. Together they live on their farm in the Peak District with their four children, and have released their first book 'Fletcher's on the Farm.'

In this episode Kelvin & Liz delve into the moments that have shaped their lives and how through their aspirations to find a new way of life and taking risks, they manage to live their lives to the fullest. We discuss how a few moments of fate are how they eventually got together in their mid-twenties, and how getting the call to be a replacement contestant on Strictly- was a twist of fate that led Kelvin to win the show! Liz discusses how her life path took her to where she was meant to be by pushing herself to go to an audition, and Kelvin chats about his decision to leave Emmerdale after 20 years. And of course we find out how their dream of moving to LA turned into buying a farm on the Peak District!

Owain Wyn Evans is an award-winning television and radio presenter- best known as the BBC North West tonight and BBC Breakfast weather presenter, as well as the host on the early breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 recorded in Cardiff. In 2020 Owain found international fame when a video of him drumming went viral and became the platform for his record breaking 24-drumathon for Children in Need. Bradley Walsh is an actor, comedian, television presenter, singer and former professional footballer. He presents some of TV’s most loved shows such as The Chase, starred in Coronation Street and Doctor Who, has sold out countless comedy shows and also has two top 15 albums! Growing up in Watford, he went on to become a professional footballer. However, when his career ended due to injury, he went on to become a blue coat and got his big break on the Royal Variety show in 1993 and the rest is history! This propelled Bradley into his career in entertainment and then on to become an established actor and a true national treasure!

In this episode Bradley tells us all about his incredible journey across his multi-facetted career. We chat all about how breaking his ankle in a football match ultimately led him to the world of entertainment and straight on to the comedy scene.
