On this week’s podcast, we continue with the theme of love! Well, Boys' Love that is. That’s right, we investigate the rise of gay love in modern society and in the realm of fandom. We discuss our favorite boy’s love stories, how Instagram quenches our thirst, and examine common issues brought up in BL. We also hear from Emylia, who has many experiences in the realm of boys' love, and is our first Simp City Resident guest host! Happy Simpsgiving dear residents! Join us as we talk about what we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday. We discuss what we enjoy about simping, fandoms, and how much we appreciate content creators and the people in fandoms themselves. This episode is very much meant to be a catch-all, as we discuss many topics near and dear to us: anime baes, BTS, and fandoms in general. Join us in celebrating Simp City’s first holiday and let us know what you’re thankful for this Simpsgiving. 

Yuri!!! On Ice is such a fun and iconic anime that we just could not miss a chance to simp about it. Not to mention it was the first anime that we watched together! We had a wonderful time dissecting the plot, talking about what makes the show so gay, and have some fun guessing Yuri on Ice characters through a Tinder-themed game. Listen in to our many thoughts about asses, realistic figure skating, and the beauty of Yuri and Viktor’s relationship. We are truly just doing our community a favor by over-analyzing this gay icon of a show.

BTS: Ddaeng! Listen in on our first simp session over the multi-talented, inspirational, and lovable boys of Bangtan Sonyeondan. We discuss our biases, the incredible impact of BTS and their careers, and our favorite songs. At the end we take two quizzes to find out 1) which BTS member we are and 2) who our best friend, enemy, and soulmates would be! We don’t need Permission to Simp!

Kiss Kiss: Simp with Us! Simp with us over the OHSHC characters and having a reverse harem. Izzy and Emma bring forth on their agenda the important conversation of Ouran High School, polyamory and consent, and what it means to have a reverse harem. The end of the council session proposes a census concerning Would You Rather scenarios that is highly encouraged for listeners to take part in so Izzy and Emma can get a better demographic of our wonderful residents. Please carefully think over the questions we posed and feel free to give feedback.

Domain Expansion: Infinite Simp! Join us as we discuss the plot of Jujutsu Kaisen, simp over the wild characters, consider the role of women as sorcerers in the show, and then finish with a game of Fuck, Marry, Kill. JJK is an extremely fun anime and manga to talk about and we hope you enjoy listening in as much as we enjoyed talking about it!
