Today I am interviewing Lysette Smith. She was born in Wales in 1990 and started riding ata very early age. Her talent and determination were quickly noticed, and by theage of 15 she was already riding racehorses in Newmarket.

However, a seriousinjury forced her to stop this demanding career — her way of life — andsuddenly she found herself searching for a new path that would still allow herto live and work with horses.

Shetravelled around the world, moving from job to job, until she discoverednatural horsemanship… and fell in love.

At themoment, Lysette is based at Sundance Ranch in the south of Portugal, where sheworks with horses and teaches.

Today, weexplore the journey from jockey to natural horsemanship, how one horse changedLysette’s life forever, and how our most fragile moments can become ourgreatest teachers.

Today I am interviewing Nina Wind. Nina is Austrian, living and working in Portugal in Arien Aguilar´s farm. She has studied Centered ridding or Seat trainning, Coaching with Horses and she is a Life coach for Humans. She has been in the USA and Canada learning horsemanship for 1 year.

Befor she embarked on a journey to Costa Rica, we had an amazing conversation, where Nina shared simple but profound insights about how to connect to your horse in a much more deeper level, and explains her view on how the horse is going to keep us gounded and experiencing life in the present moment ...

Arien comes from a Swiss-Mexican background and has lived in the United States,Germany, and now in Portugal. He studied Animal Science at Texas A&MUniversity, graduating in 2016, and went on to become a researcher focusedon the human–animal relationship.

He is a renowned equine trainer, teaching his approach tohorsemanship in clinics across Europe. Arien is also the author of the recentlypublished book entitled - Creating Language, in which he aims togo a step further in improving the way we communicate with our animals.

Today, we’re going to have a nice conversation where we explore manyfascinating topics, including how a training experience with a giraffe turnedinto an extraordinary book, or how language shapes who we are and how weperceive the world, and whether creating taboo words is useful in ourevolutionary development.
