On the final episode of Series 4 we hear from The Great British Bake Off’s Sandy Docherty who talks about Parkin, Moggy and her recipe book Sandy’s Great Northern Cookbook. Sandy talks about the power of baking, the stories connected to recipes and how food can break down barriers. Plus Duncan Swainsbury, founder of Bounceback Food, talks about Staffordshire Oatcakes, Bounceback’s journey to date and their upcoming 10-year anniversary celebrations.

This week on Share Your Secrets, host Miriam Rendell speaks to Naomi Thomas and Laura Crowley, who both completed our 2024 Social Enterprise Internship Programme. Naomi tried out the Fidget Pie recipe and Laura perfected the Bedfordshire Clanger! Both share their experiences of the different projects they completed during their time with our Community Cookery School team over the summer.

On the final episode of Share Your Secrets Series 2 we hear from Char Binns, festival director of Homotopia, the organisation we teamed up with in Liverpool. There is also an interview with Nisha Tandon, founder of ArtsEkta in Belfast and artist Rong Gen Yin talks about his work for the Chinese section of the book. This week on Share Your Secrets, Duncan speaks to Ashlynn Wardle from Able Arts CIC about setting up a social enterprise during a pandemic. Bryony Murray, co-founder of Bazooka Arts, explains how the name for their artwork ‘The Sharing Table’ not only describes their piece for the Ukrainian section of the book but also the fundamental way in which they work. Artist Gail Robinson explains her idea to use lino-cutting and printing for the piece and how it has led to further projects. Plus Bazooka Arts member Karen Calpin bravely shares her story about what a lifeline the arts charity has been for her.

This week on Share Your Secrets, host Miriam Rendell speaks to Breezy Willows who created the artwork for the Indonesian section of the book.
