| Why Better Sex Starts Outside the Bedroom | 02 Oct 2026 | 00:38:59 | |
Let's talk about why foreplay might be the most misunderstood thing in your sex life… because the way most couples think about it is exactly backwards. In this episode I'm breaking down why foreplay doesn't start in the bedroom and what to do when your partner goes straight to penetration every single time, when the sex has gone stale and neither of you knows how to say it, when one person won't reciprocate, and when a medical situation forces you to get creative in all the best ways.
If you have ever wished your partner understood what you actually need before sex even starts, this one is for you.

| What Nobody Taught You About Vaginas | 30 Sep 2026 | 00:22:53 | |
Sexual communication isn’t a sign that something is wrong—it’s how sex gets better. When your partner says “slow down,” “stay right there,” or asks for something different, they aren’t rejecting you. They’re giving you the roadmap to what feels good for them right now.
In this episode, I’m talking about how to create the safety to give and receive direction during sex without anyone getting defensive, embarrassed, or shutting down. We’ll explore why learning basic anatomy is only the beginning, how bodies and desires change over time, and why staying curious is the real secret to being a great lover.
If you want more connected, responsive, and satisfying sex, this episode is for you.

Let's talk about what actually gets in the way of connected, present, pleasurable sex… because it is almost never what you think it is. In this episode I'm taking live listener calls from people who are done settling for sex that feels disconnected, performative, or just plain stuck. A divorced mom of two who spends every sexual encounter watching herself from the outside instead of actually feeling anything. Someone navigating intimacy after leaving a religion that made sex feel like something to be ashamed of. A 19 year old who wants to take control in the bedroom but freezes every time. And more. If you have ever felt like you were in the room but not really there, this episode is going to give you a way back in.

| Why You Don’t Want Sex Anymore | 18 Sep 2026 | 00:28:42 | |
Low desire isn’t always about your relationship or something you need to “fix” inside yourself. Sometimes, feeling more connected to your sexuality begins outside the bedroom: with creativity, friendship, novelty, connection, and getting back in touch with the parts of life that make you feel alive.
In this episode, I’m talking about why libido is shaped by so much more than sex, how to get curious before diagnosing yourself, and the small ways you can spark eroticism without putting pressure on yourself or your partner. Because a better sex life might not start with another conversation, supplement, or dating app—it might start the moment you step back into the world.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected from desire, stuck in a rut, or wondering whether it’s you or your relationship, this episode is for you.

| Five Unsexy Tips for Better Sex Every Time | 15 Sep 2026 | 00:20:31 | |
Let's talk about five things that are quietly killing your sex life that have absolutely nothing to do with attraction, technique, or how much you love your partner… because after 20 years of helping people improve their sex lives, I can tell you we are way too quick to assume low desire means something is wrong with us. Sometimes the conditions around your sex life just suck. In this episode I'm giving you five very unsexy tips that can make your sex life a whole lot better, and I promise at least one of them is going to make you go, oh that's exactly us. Fair warning: number three is the one everyone rolls their eyes at. And it's the one that actually works.

| The 5 Love Languages: How to Feel More Loved & Have Better Sex | 11 Sep 2026 | 00:46:45 | |
What if the reason you keep having the same fight with your partner isn't that you don't love each other, it's that you're speaking completely different love languages? You may be giving love exactly the way you'd want to receive it, while your partner is waiting for something totally different.
In this throwback episode, I'm breaking down the five love languages, acts of service, gift giving, physical touch, quality time, and words of affirmation, and how understanding yours (and your partner's) can help you move through resentment, feel more connected, and bring more intimacy into your relationship. We also get into how each love language can show up sexually, what to do when yours don't match, and simple ways to make your partner actually feel the love you're already trying to give.
If you've ever wondered why your efforts don't seem to land, why the same relationship frustrations keep coming back, or how to create more love and better sex without overcomplicating it, this episode is for you.

| The Ultimate Guide to Initiating Sex (Without the pressure or Weirdness) | 08 Sep 2026 | 00:15:29 | |
Let's talk about why initiating sex in your relationship started feeling like a test… because somewhere along the way, that moment of reaching for your partner stopped feeling like closeness and started feeling like a pass-fail question hanging in the air. Am I about to get rejected? Am I going to disappoint them? And when initiation starts to feel that way, both people stop doing it. In this episode I'm giving you five concrete steps to change the whole dynamic, starting with one reframe that makes everything else possible.
We're talking about how to read the room before you even reach for your partner, what to say instead of do you want to have sex, how to bridge the gap when one of you has been thinking about it all day and the other just got done folding laundry, and the one response to a no that either builds or destroys trust over time.
If you've ever felt guilty for saying no, talked yourself out of initiating, or noticed that the affection in your relationship quietly disappeared along with the sex, this episode is for you.

| Squirting, Threesomes & the Sex Skills No One Teaches You | 04 Sep 2026 | 00:35:54 | |
Let's talk about the sex skills nobody teaches you and why most people are still waiting for their partner to figure it out instead of just saying it out loud… because that's exactly what today's callers are done doing. In this episode I'm taking live calls from people who are done leaving their pleasure up to chance. We've got a 27 year old who wants to learn how to squirt on her own without relying on anyone to do it for her, a couple who wants to bring others into their play but can't figure out how to find the right people, and a woman whose new partner flat out refused to try to make her orgasm. I promise that last one goes somewhere really good. If you have ever felt like you were the only one carrying the weight of your own pleasure, this episode will change that.

| Curious About Anal? | 01 Sep 2026 | 00:15:01 | |
If anal play sounds like something you'd have to grit your teeth through, I want to change your mind about one thing first: a painful first try isn't your body's final answer. It's usually a sign something was rushed, unprepared, or out of your control, not proof this isn't for you.
In this episode, I'm walking through my five-step, comfort-first framework for exploring anal: getting a real yes before anything starts, setting yourself up for success, warming your whole body up first, moving in layers instead of straight to penetration, and learning to actually read your body's feedback. I'm also busting a few myths along the way, including the one that penetration is the goal at all.
Pleasure, not performance. Let's get into it.

| Pegging, Threesomes & the Sex Breakthroughs That Changed Everything | 28 Aug 2026 | 00:26:52 | |
Let's talk about what actually happens when real people finally stop holding back in the bedroom… because the best sex education doesn't always come from experts. Sometimes it comes from a husband who spent months asking for something his wife wasn't sure about, or a couple whose 20 year marriage took a very unexpected turn on a dance floor in Anchorage, or a woman who spent years unable to orgasm with a partner and finally got there in the last way she ever expected.
In this episode I'm reading three real listener success stories out loud, and I promise you will learn something from every single one of them.

| Why YOU Don’t Want Sex With Your Husband Anymore | 25 Aug 2026 | 00:15:16 | |
Let's talk about why you don't want sex with your husband anymore… and why the answer probably has nothing to do with your libido. If you've been lying next to him quietly hoping he doesn't reach for you, and then hating yourself for feeling that way, this episode is going to change the way you see what's actually happening in your body and your relationship. Because the story most women tell themselves at this moment is the wrong one entirely. I'm walking you through a four part desire check in that will help you stop asking the question that keeps you stuck and start asking the one that can actually lead you somewhere.
If desire has gone quiet in your marriage, this one is for you.

Can you love one person and still want someone else? Are you and your partner actually on the same page about your relationship rules, or just assuming you are? And is porn really the problem it gets blamed for? In this episode, we’re getting into the conversations couples rarely have out loud, because there’s no single “right” way to do a relationship. The goal is getting honest about your desires, your boundaries, and what you’ve actually agreed to together. If you’ve been assuming your partner agrees with you on things you’ve never actually talked about, or wondering whether porn is really the issue in your relationship, this one’s for you.

| What You Got Wrong About Men & Sex in Marriage | 18 Aug 2026 | 00:13:53 | |
Let's talk about the five lies about men and sex that might be quietly destroying your marriage… because most couples aren't fighting about sex. They're fighting about connection, rejection, and feeling unseen, and nobody ever gave them the language to say that out loud. In this episode I'm breaking down the five most harmful myths about male sexuality that I see playing out in long term relationships over and over again, from "he just wants sex" to "men don't take rejection personally." Once you see these lies for what they are, the dynamic between you can start to shift. I'm also giving you one conversation to have this week that can completely change how you and your partner understand each other. And the best part? You don't have to do a single thing you don't want to do to get there.

| The Sex Questions Everyone Is Secretly Asking | Sex With Emily | 14 Aug 2026 | 00:25:58 | |
Chicago and Philadelphia showed up big for the Best Sex Ever tour, and I couldn't get to every question live. So here's the rest.
We're getting into the real first move before opening up a marriage, what alcohol actually does to your libido, and why your body tightening up mid-sex is information, not a red flag. Plus how to ask for foreplay in a way that actually lands, the cuddle trap where touch always seems to lead to sex whether you want it to or not, and a low-pressure way into kink and BDSM if you're curious but nervous.
Save sex with me, one city at a time.

| The Wisdom of Saying YES to Intimacy in Your Relationship | Sex With Emily | 11 Aug 2026 | 00:19:44 | |
Let's talk about what actually happens when desire disappears in a long term relationship… because most people assume their libido is just gone, or something is broken in their relationship, when the truth is usually something completely different. In this episode I'm breaking down how desire actually works, why spontaneous desire is mostly a myth for couples past the honeymoon phase, and the one simple 20 minute practice you can try this week to start feeling connected again without forcing anything. I'm also getting into the difference between duty sex and responsive desire, because those are not the same thing and confusing them is making a lot of people miserable. If you've ever thought something is wrong with you because you don't want sex the way you used to, this episode is for you.
Spoiler: nothing is wrong with you. Your desire just works differently now.

| The Sex Advice I Got Wrong After 20 Years | Sex With Emily | 07 Aug 2026 | 00:23:20 | |
For 20 years, people have asked me the same questions: what's the best position, how do I get better oral sex, is anal sex supposed to hurt. And honestly? I still love answering those. But after two decades of doing this podcast, I've realized something. People rarely come to me with the real problem. Underneath the sex question, there's almost always shame, rejection, resentment, or the big one: "am I normal?"
In this episode, I'm doing something I've never done before going back through 20 years of advice and telling you what I'd change. I'm a Doctor of Human Sexuality and I've talked to millions of people about their sex lives, and here's what I know now that I didn't then: "just communicate" isn't enough, "spice it up" doesn't fix resentment, spontaneous desire is mostly a myth for people in long-term relationships, and sleep and stress matter more than any toy in your nightstand. I'm breaking down the five pillars of sexual intelligence, why I think we're all obsessed with the wrong metrics, and what actually predicts great sex (hint: it's not technique). If you've ever wondered whether you're normal, this one's for you. You are.

| Why People Cheat Even In Happy Relationships | Sex With Emily | 04 Aug 2026 | 00:48:42 | |
Let's talk about where the line actually is when it comes to cheating… because most couples never have this conversation until it's too late. In this episode I'm sitting down with licensed holistic psychologist and trauma expert Scott Lyons to unpack what cheating really means in the digital age, from liking thirst traps and DMing an ex at 2am to full on affairs and everything in between. I'm also sharing something I've never talked about publicly: I'm a reformed cheater, and I'm getting honest about what was really going on underneath that.
Whether you've been cheated on, done the cheating, or just want to get ahead of it before it becomes a problem in your relationship, this episode gives you the real talk, the research, and the tools to define your boundaries, rebuild trust, and have the conversation most couples are too scared to start.

Let's talk about the small habits quietly killing your connection… because most relationships don't fall apart from one big betrayal, they drift apart from the little things we let slide every day. In this episode I'm breaking down the biggest mistakes I see couples make over and over, from protecting your partner from the truth to keeping appreciation stuck in your head instead of saying it out loud, and giving you a practical workaround for each one. I'm also answering your live questions on setting boundaries in short-term relationships and how to start the sex conversation with a new partner. Whether you've been together six months or 60 years, every one of these skills can be learned, and I promise there's at least one mistake on this list you didn't realize you were making!

| What Actually Counts as Cheating? | 28 Jul 2026 | 00:50:32 | |
Throwback to another one of my favorite conversations! Have you ever wondered where the line actually is between loyalty and betrayal? In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Scott Lyons to unpack the messy, subjective world of infidelity in 2025. We get into the questions couples almost never ask each other… is porn cheating, is a flirty DM cheating, is fantasizing about someone else cheating… and why avoiding these conversations is often what leads to bigger ruptures down the line. I also get vulnerable about my own history as a self-described "reformed cheater," and Scott and I both open up about being on the receiving end of infidelity ourselves. We break down the real stats on who cheats and why, talk through micro-cheating and emotional affairs in the age of social media, and walk through what genuine repair looks like when trust has been broken. If you want a real, no-shame framework for defining your own relationship boundaries, this one's for you.

| Debunking the Biggest Myths About Sex and Desire | 24 Jul 2026 | 00:36:57 | |
In this episode, I'm busting the biggest myths that are quietly running your relationship and your intimate life… the idea that men want it all the time, that women don't think about it nearly as much, that low libido means something's broken, that toys replace your partner, that your partner should just know what you like without you ever saying it out loud, and more. I'm walking through each one and replacing it with what's actually true, plus practical tools you can use tonight: how scheduling can bring back anticipation instead of killing it, why communication is its own form of intimacy, and how menopause and libido shifts don't have to mean your best years are behind you.

| How to Ask Your Body What It Actually Needs | 21 Jul 2026 | 00:54:11 | |
In this episode, somatic practitioner Dolly Josette (aka The Pleasure Muse) is teaching us something that changed my life… how to actually listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us. We walk through a body anchor meditation to help you find your most grounded position, then move into what Dolly calls the vulva hug and cock cradle, a practice that has nothing to do with arousal and everything to do with presence, safety, and building trust with your own body. If you've ever felt disconnected from your body, gone numb during sex, or struggled to know what you actually want, this episode is your foundation. Somatic work like this is how we learn to stop performing and start truly feeling, and it's a practice you can bring into your life daily, not just in the bedroom!

| Why the Spark Always Fades (& What Actually Lasts) | 17 Jul 2026 | 01:04:29 | |
Throwback to one of my favorite conversations! That "spark" you're chasing? It might not be attraction… it might be a trauma response. I sat down with Dr. Scott Lyons to break down the difference between real, sustainable chemistry and what he calls the "trauma tingle,” that hyper-magnetic pull toward someone that actually has more to do with old wounds than genuine connection. We get into why the honeymoon-phase spark always fades (it's biochemistry, not a sign something's wrong), why "getting the spark back" might be the wrong goal entirely, and how to build the kind of attraction that actually deepens over time instead of burning out. If you've ever wondered whether you're in love or just chasing something familiar, this one's for you.

| How To Know What You Really Want in Bed | 14 Jul 2026 | 00:35:08 | |
Today, we're diving into pillar four of Sex IQ: self-knowledge. This is the pillar that ties everything together, because once you understand your body (embodiment), your health, and how to collaborate with a partner, the real magic happens when you actually know what turns you on. I'm breaking down core erotic desires using Jack Morin's erotic equation: the struggle we overcame plus the triumph on the other side often reveals exactly what turns us on most. We'll talk about the pleasure thieves that block self-knowledge (stress, trauma, and shame), why mindful self-pleasure is one of the fastest paths to understanding your own arousal, and how naming what you want to feel during sex changes everything about how you ask for it. If you've ever felt like you're just going through the motions in bed, this episode is your permission slip to get curious about yourself again.

| What I Wish I Knew About Sex in My 20s | 10 Jul 2026 | 00:44:43 | |
In this episode, I'm going back to my 20s and telling you everything I wish someone had told me about sex back then. The reality is that almost nobody has a clue in their 20s, and we're all just figuring it out together. I talk about why I confused being validated with actually being desired, why I thought pleasure was someone else's job instead of my own responsibility, and how much shame was quietly running my entire sex life. I also get into why attraction alone was never enough to sustain a relationship, why stress and anxiety were wrecking my desire, and why confidence in the bedroom comes from taking action, not the other way around. If you're in your 20s trying to figure this all out, or you're older and realizing you're still carrying some of these same beliefs, this episode is for you.

| Why Self-Acceptance is the Key To Better Sex | 07 Jul 2026 | 00:34:07 | |
In this episode, I'm covering the fifth pillar of Sexual Intelligence: self-acceptance. This is the pillar that ties everything else together, because no matter how embodied, healthy, collaborative, or self-aware you are, none of it lands if you can't accept yourself as you are right now. I'm talking about the "pleasure thieves" that steal our self-acceptance, like comparison, judgment, and perfectionism, and why so much of our sexual shame was programmed into us before we even knew what was happening. I walk through a mirror exercise you can try this week, share why orgasm isn't the measure of good sex (pleasure is), and answer more listener questions. If you've ever felt like you're not enough, not sexy enough, or not doing sex "right," this episode is your reminder that you already are worthy of pleasure, exactly as you are today.

| What I Wish I Knew About Sex in my 30s | 03 Jul 2026 | 00:24:54 | |
In this episode, I'm breaking down everything I learned about sex and relationships in my 30s… because this decade taught me lessons my 20s never could. I used to think if the chemistry faded, the relationship was over, but I discovered that real intimacy is something you build, not something you stumble into. I'm talking about why stress crushes desire more than attraction ever could, why responsive desire is normal (not broken), why boring sex doesn't mean a boring relationship, and why communication really is a lubrication. If you've ever wondered why talking about sex feels harder than having it, or worried that losing the honeymoon phase means you're with the wrong person, this episode is for you.

| The Secret to Magnetic Chemistry in Long-Term Relationships | 30 Jun 2026 | 00:34:35 | |
Are you and your partner really collaborating in bed, or just going through the motions? In this episode, I'm diving deep into the third pillar of Sexual Intelligence: Collaboration. I break down why two people can be having sex without truly connecting, how sexual polarity creates that magnetic charge we all crave, and why desire mismatches don't have to drive a wedge between you and your partner. I also walk you through one of my favorite practices — the Sexual State of the Union — and share simple, actionable tools like the Yes!No!Maybe? list and 60-second eye contact to help you and your partner start co-creating the sex life you actually want. Whether you're partnered or flying solo, this episode will change the way you think about intimacy.

| Why Your Mind Is Blocking Your Pleasure (& What to Do About It) | 19 Jun 2026 | 00:26:57 | |
Disclaimer: Today's episode is a recording from a live class I taught for my community on Embodiment: the first pillar of the Sex IQ Framework. You might hear some audience questions throughout, and the audio isn't our usual quality. Thanks for your patience!
If you've ever found yourself distracted, disconnected, or just going through the motions during sex, this episode is for you. Today, I talk through the very first sexual intelligence framework pillar: Embodiment. Being truly present in your body during sex isn't something you're either born with or not, it's a skill you can actually learn and practice. I walk you through exactly what embodiment means, why so many of us lose it (and why that's not your fault), and the simple techniques I use myself that can completely transform how you experience pleasure, intimacy, and connection. Whether you're single or partnered, this is the foundation everything else is built on, and I promise once you start practicing it, you'll feel the difference in and out of the bedroom.

I'll walk you through exactly how to introduce the list to your partner, how to fill it out (solo or together), and most importantly, how to turn your “yeses” into real plans you'll actually follow through on. | The Real Reason Sex Feels Like Pressure Instead of Pleasure | 05 May 2026 | 00:53:53 | |
In this episode live recording of Sex With Emily, I break down what’s really getting in the way of your pleasure, from the way most of us were taught about sex to why so many people feel disconnected, pressured, or stuck in their heads during intimacy. I explain how performance-based thinking replaces sensation, why desire changes over time, and what it actually takes to build trust with your body again.
We also get into how to communicate what you want with a partner, how to bridge the gap between solo pleasure and partnered sex, and why slowing down is the key to feeling more present and connected. If you’ve ever felt like something is off in your sex life or struggled to relax and enjoy it, this episode will help you understand what’s really happening and how to create more confidence, clarity, and pleasure moving forward.
Note: This was a live recording from November 2025.

| The Real Reasons You’re Not Satisfied in Bed | 01 May 2026 | 00:51:48 | |
In this live episode of Sex With Emily, I answer your real questions about sex, desire, and relationships while breaking down some of the biggest myths we’ve been taught, from porn shaping unrealistic expectations to the truth about size, pleasure, and communication.
I also dive into why so many people feel blocked or “not normal” in their sex lives, how fantasies actually form, what really leads to better sex (hint: it’s not performance), and how to talk to your partner about what you want without shame or shutdowns. My goal is to help you understand your body and your desires more clearly, release the judgment around them, and ultimately create more pleasure, confidence, and connection in your sex life.

| How To Ask For What You Want in Bed: Fantasy Edition | 28 Apr 2026 | 00:32:49 | |
In this live episode of Sex With Emily, I’m diving into the truth about fantasies… why we have them, why so many of us are afraid to share them, and how to talk about them with a partner without pressure or shame. I break down what fantasies actually are (and what they’re not), why silence in relationships often comes from self-protection rather than secrecy, and how to create space for honest, judgment-free conversations about sex. I also take live questions from a caller who’s navigating dating transparency, emotional boundaries, and how to communicate clearly without rushing intimacy. This episode originally aired as a live stream, and I’m so excited to bring it to you as a podcast- real talk, real questions, and practical tools to help you feel more connected, confident, and open in your sex life.

| Missionary Isn’t Boring, You’re Just Doing It Wrong | 21 Apr 2026 | 00:32:24 | |
I know what you're thinking. Missionary? Really? But hear me out, because I genuinely believe missionary might be the most underrated position in existence, and the reason most people are bored by it has nothing to do with the position itself. It has everything to do with what they're not doing in it.
In this episode, I'm breaking down every missionary myth, sharing the techniques that actually work for clitoral stimulation during penetration, and answering your listener's questions on everything from G-spot orgasms to asking your partner to bend you over the kitchen table.
In this episode, you'll learn:
• Why the porn version of penetrative sex works for only about 30% of vulva owners and what the rest of us actually need to get there, including the CAT technique that makes missionary the best position for clitoral stimulation
• How to tell your partner you want them to dominate you, talk dirty, and bring more intensity to sex without making them feel like they've been doing it wrong this whole time
• Why incorporating a vibrator into partnered sex is one of the best things you can do for your sex life, and how to ask for it even if you're a people pleaser who's spent years putting everyone else's comfort before your own pleasure

| The Sex Conversations You're Too Afraid to Have | 14 Apr 2026 | 00:47:37 | |
I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again, the number one thing standing between you and the sex life you actually want is probably one conversation you haven't had yet. Not a new position. Not a new toy. A conversation. And I know that sounds simple, but if it were easy, you wouldn't be talking yourself out of it every single time.
Today, I'm taking live listener calls on some of the most awkward, most avoided, most necessary conversations in sex and relationships, and giving you the exact words to have them.
In this episode, you'll learn:
• What to do when everything in your relationship is great except the sex — and how to bring it up without making your partner feel like the last nine months were a waste
• How to give feedback about a smell, a skill, or a habit that's getting in the way of your pleasure — without shame, without cruelty, and without killing the mood
• Why if you're freezing up every time you want to initiate, the problem probably isn't your partner's response — it's the story you're telling yourself before you even open your mouth
