In a much belated episode of Sequel Decay, Chris and Stefan look back on Frank Herbert's sci-fi masterpiece, the book's ecological and political implications, as well as the several adaptations that failed to or successfully came to be. From Alejandro Jodorowsky's seemingly pompous, overlong, and wildly self-indulgent attempts to adapt the novel in the 70s, to David Lynch's inability to keep creative control on his adaptation in the 80s, to the first half of Denis Villeneuve's vision that (thankfully) Warner Bros. is going to let him finish, it's about as long and dense an episode as Herbert's novel, except we have more dick and drug jokes.
