We talk to Greg Stewart about coming up through the Rangers the Hearts youth systems. Playing for Sygenta amateurs before playing for Cowdenbeath and Dundee in the SPFL. A move to England with Birmingham City during a tumultuous time for the cub with multiple managerial changes and loan moves to Aberdeen and Kilmarnock. A move Rangers followed winning a Scottish Premiership on the way before moving to the Indian Super League with Jamshedpur then current club Mumbai City.

The latest in our series of interviews with Scottish footballers who have played outside of the UK. David Bates talks to John Walker about his career in the Scotland, Germany, England & Belgium.

David started his football career with his local side Raith Rovers where he spent 5 years developing his style including loan moves to East Stirlingshire & Brechin City. In 2016 he moved to his boyhood team, Rangers, as a development loan that turned into a full signing.

In the summer of 2018 he moved to Germany to play for Hamburg. The historically successful side had just suffered their first ever relegation to the Bundesliga 2. A huge impact made Bates an instant fan favourite until injuries hampered his season both in Hamburg and his loan to Sheffield Wednesday.

He is currently on loan at Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Pro League. We discuss his hopes for the seasons ahead and his ambition to add to his 4 international caps so far.

We talk to Anthony about his youth, being born in Cyprus before moving to Scotland a few months old and his childhood Celtic fandom.

The striker started at Livingston before joining Hearts where he stayed for 8 years. He graduated to the first team in 2017 and also had loan deals with Inverness CT and Dunfermline Athletic. Earlier this year he signed for Spanish Segunda Division B side Cordoba. Injury has prevented him making his debut and we discuss the impact of this on Anthony as well as his reasons for moving abroad.

Graham Hunter, a passionate Dandies fan from Aberdeen, started in journalism in the mid 80's working his way through writing football reports for the Sunday Mirror and Sunday Times before taking on a role at the Daily Mail.

In 2002 he relocated to Spain to cover Spanish football just in time to see the Spanish Golden Generation.

This episode we have a chat with broadcaster Derek Rae, originally from Aberdeen he broke into radio commentary at BBC Radio Scotland before moving to the United States in the early 90's taking up a job with the World Cup '94 organising committee. From there he has covered the beginnings of the MLS as well as covering South American & European football for ESPN.

In 2009 he returned to Scotland to commentate on the Scottish Premier League for ESPN UK & BT Sports. He currently can be heard on ESPN and also on FIFA video games.

We chat to Derek about his career, the decisions he's made along the way and how he's watched football change during his lifetime.
