On this episode of the Scandalous Podcast, I sit down with Jaret Reddick of Bowling for Soup for one of the funniest, most honest, and heartfelt conversations I’ve ever had.

We revisit moments from nearly every era of Bowling for Soup — the songs, the stories, the memories, and the evolution of a band that somehow managed to soundtrack generations while never losing its sense of humor or heart.

We also talk songwriting, longevity in music, staying grounded, being genuinely happy for other people’s success, and the well-lived-in joy of everyday life.

This episode is funny, nostalgic, emotional, inspiring, and a reminder of why Bowling for Soup has remained such a special part of pop punk culture for so many fans. If you’ve ever grown up with Bowling for Soup, needed a laugh during a hard time, or wondered what keeps a band going after decades in the industry — this one’s for you.

There I was at a Fit for an Autopsy show biding time until the guys went up on the stage. I heard something heavy on the stage that I liked. As I got closer to the stage I didn't just like it, I loved it. It wasn't just heavy, it was a wave of intensity that engulfed me. Watching Ingested that night made me an instant fan. Today, we welcome frontman Jason Evans of Ingested to the podcast. Catch their new album "Ashes Lie Still" dropping November 4th, 2022. You can see them on the road for their US Fall tour with Lorna Shore, Aborted. As well as their Europe tour in the Spring with Cannibal Corpse, Dark Funeral. I'll never forget the time I saw Eli Santana live in Dallas, TX at Gas Monkey. Opening up for Black Label Society shredding with his band Huntress, fronted by Jill Janus (RIP) who taught me a lot about being a woman in metal that night. It was a visual and auditory feast. This woman so strong, so fierce, so unashamedly threatening, yet beautiful. Then I saw Eli, the epitome of a greek god, up on stage that made me feel like a mere mortal out in the crowd while watching. Beautiful long hair, good looks, and intense power pouring out of him through his guitar while he was playing. I've been following his career for years ever since, and this guy does not do down time. New frontman of staple hardcore band, Ignite, continuing to shred in Holy Grail, all while growing his budding acting career. Join us as we discuss it all. You can catch Eli on tour with Ignite this fall!
