Week fifty-one:  As the heat ramps up to furnace levels, the wildlife springs into action with a gusto! Lockdown starts to take its toll, plus adventures in dental hygiene.

Week forty-seven:  As so many of us are alone, wherever we are, I think about being in a foreign country at a time of crisis and am confused by some Americans' reaction to coronavirus.

Week forty-six:  As Phoenix shuts down for the coronavirus, our neighbours disappear, but insects move in. The reality of being so far away from family hits home.

Week forty-five:  The whole week is wet, with the humidity of Florida and the rain of Arizona. I'm confused by a random pizza delivery and wonder what it will feel like to be back in England, until the CoronaVirus comes calling.

Week forty:  A shopping trip to a local supermarket reminds me of what we have done and our first Superbowl in America reminds me what a country of contrasts we live in.

Week thirty-nine:  We make two big decisions about the future - eek! I make an hilarious discovery about the most popular British TV shows iin the US.

Week thirty-eight:  The local news goes into meltdown over some "weather" and we finally get some American TV channels working.

Week thirty-seven:  I become Arizona's unofficial royal correspondent and head to the deep south of the state: Tombstone and Bisbee.

Week thirty-six:  We explore the pineforests and moonscapes around the stunning city of Prescott, spend Friday night in a saloon and Dave goes full Arizona.

Week twenty-seven:  We visit the amazing town of Jerome and learn about wine, ghosts and women of the night! We wave goodbye to family and I leave Arizona again!

Week twenty-six:  A throwawy tweet about airbrushing on school photos goes viral and we experience our first Halloween in the desert! Spoiler: the Americans LOVE it!

Week twenty-three:  Phoenix gets busy as the snowbirds come to town. The Vice-President pops to my street and we dip our toe in the American Healthcare system!

Week twenty-one:  Mum and I keep driving north, through desert, alongside dramatic cliffs and reach a kind of paradise. But all good things must come to an end...

Week twenty:  Faced with a dreadful prognosis, we decide not to wait for someone to tell us how long my mum has left to live and decide to go out and find life.

Week nineteen: I head to Australia to wait and see how sick my mum is.  Its the second time in my life I hadn't planned to go to Perth, but ended up there....

Week eighteen:  I finally pass my driving test...28 years after taking my first one! Life throws us a curve ball and I need to leave the USA.
