Cette semaine c’est Yuki Berthiaume Tremblay qui a accepté notre invitation à composer une heure de playliste. Yuki est une figure de la scène musicale Montréalaise. Musicienne, chanteuse et Dj, on l’a vue et entendue dans Jesus Les filles, à l’instar de Benoit Poirier qui nous présentait sa mixtape il y a quelques semaines. Actuellement elle est membre du collectif de création interdisciplinaire Beats et muscienne chanteuse dans Yocto aux côtés de Jean Michel Coutu, lui aussi, figure de la scène musicale alternative Montréalaise, avec lequel elle jouait dans idalg (Il danse avec les genoux). Yuki Berthiaume Tremblay est de tous les bons coups et sa sensibilité de Dj de devrait pas vous laisser indifférent•es. Cette semaine, c’est Benoit Poirier, Directeur musical de la station de radio universitaire Montréalaise CISM qui se prête au jeu de la mixtape. CISM est une Radio cousine de la Ferarock. La Ferarock est une fédération de radios associatives françaises, Belges et Québécoises, qui s’emploient depuis 30 ans à défendre l’émergence musicale et dont Radio Mega, notre radio de coeur, est membre. Benoit poirier vient tout juste de quitter son poste chez CISM et s’en est allé vers de nouveaux horizons, mais son passage sur la station Québécoise aura laissé de sacrées belles fondations musicales. Par ailleurs musicien, on a pu l’entendre dans nombre de formations Montréalaises dont Jesus les filles et dernièrement Pust, son duo de EggPunk, ou le voir aux côté de Bon enfant et collaborer alors pour Vice Canada. Vous l’aurez compris, Benoit Poirier est de ces personnes passionnées dont la bonne énergie irradie ! Au programme : Jessica Pratt, Cindy Lee, ChloÈ Jara-Buto, pataugeoire ft. Les Shirley, Possibles, Bibi Club, Bon Enfant, La SÈcuritÈ, Mathieu SÈguin, Lemongrab, CANICHE, PUFFER, PUST, Faze, Poison Ruin, Secretors, et Agriculture.

Depuis l'Auvergne, CITY OF EXILES concocte des disques qui auraient pu voir le jour en Amérique du Nord. Sur leur troisième et excellent album sorti en 2024, Sleeper hunter, compositions originales au romantisme sombre et chaleur vocale de Guillaume LEBOUIS mettent en valeur poétesses et écrivains anglo-saxons (Emily BRONTË, E.E. CUMMINGS, Emily DICKINSON). Pour cet été 2024, le chanteur nous a fait une sélection sans faute de goût. Grand merci et au plaisir de voir CITY OF EXILES sur scène !
