How to Set Your 2022 Goals for a Ridiculously Great Year30 Dec 202100:21:43

It’s our last week of 2021 so the last podcast episode of 2021!

And today we’re talking reviewing 2021 to set 2022 goals.

This is so you can have more fulfillment, impact, and cold hard cash in 2022.

First off -

Please fully relish in all you accomplished in 2021.

Seriously. Think back to 12-months-ago you - the you from December 2020. What did you want? How did you feel?

Really put yourself back there.

Even if you didn’t hit all your goals this year, I would bet good money that your December 2020 self would be blown away by all that you did this year.

So put your hands on your heart & fully acknowledge it all.

Be grateful for it.

Be PROUD of yourself.

And from this place, send a message to your December 2020 self.

What do they need to hear from you?

What do you want to tell them about 2021?

Okay - onto our goal setting -

Goal setting is about giving a direction so that your actions and your magic are focused on a desired outcome.

It also gives direction to the much larger support system that exists & wants to support you on your journey, be it angels, God, Jupiter, Venus, your ancestors, spirit guides, or whatever else you relate to as the massive amount of beings and energy that wants to support you in your work.

We are lucky to be magical business owners because we have so much more support than muggle-owned businesses who solely rely on their blood sweat and tears.

Before we dig into specific business goals for the year it’s important for you to clarify a larger context.

What you want out of your life.

Defining what you want in life is your key to make sure that 2022 is the year that checks the fulfillment box.

Basically… if you want to go after something, you have to first know what it is. Sounds super basic, but setting goals for what you want is a surprisingly potent kind of magic.

So. I know we all want to get to the juicy goal setting. But let’s start with talking about WHY you should be setting goals. Because that’s the best way to know what might be blocking our goals from coming true.

Some people are afraid to set goals because they’re afraid that they won’t like what they get…

They don’t want to get new, bigger, better clients, because they’re afraid they might hate them and be trapped in the contract.

They don’t want to fall in love because they’re worried their partners might be needy or take up too much of their time.

They don’t want a house, because what about property taxes? And how are they gonna clean a house that big?

And on and on. Our subconscious can come up with an endless number of reasons why we can’t have the things we want. And a lot of the time, we don’t even realize they’re excuses. We just see them as fact.

But they’re not facts. They’re fears.

I just want to give you permission right now that you can handle it. And you can change your mind. If you get your goal and you hate it, then pivot. Change your goal. Change your business. Dump the guy. Whatever.

But if a part of you deeply wants something, then the best way to get clarity is to get the damn thing. And see what happens.

You are smart enough & capable enough to know how to handle the situation when it comes and to resolve it or find someone to help you with it.

So… now it’s time. Grab your journal and ask yourself — what do you really truly totally want?

What would you want if no one would judge you for it?

If no one would get pissed about you wanting it?

If you without a doubt 100% would get it?

What would you want if there was a magic wand that would wave & instantly grant it to you?

I’m purposely asking this with these wording variations. Please answer all of these separately, because it’ll often bring up separate answers from you. 

So many of us feel guilty about what we want. We don’t even dream of having certain things bc we don’t think we could have it or we have guilt around it or whatever baggage comes along with it. Or we don’t think we deserve to have something good.

We won’t even add something to favorites on an online store because we have a twinge in our hearts that we can’t afford it, so we can’t even admit to liking it or wanting it.

So. Go into each area of life and look at what you truly want. They can be deep wants (like a more rich spiritual life) or things that you might tell yourself you shouldn’t want because they could be considered flashy or shallow (want a brand new car? A month long trip to Tahiti? Or a fully funded emergency fund? Write it down!)

Go into this for where you live, who you spend your time with, how much you work, who’s on your support team, if you have pets or children, and so on.

These goals can be diverse as you are, so don’t be afraid to include everything.

Next ask yourself:

How do you want to feel?

And how would getting what you desire make you feel?

This is an important separate step because you don’t want to fall into the trap of hitting goals while still feeling miserable, or unsafe, or stressed the fuck out.

Often we want what we want because we want to feel a certain way. We want a 7 figure business because we’ll finally feel powerful, or safe. We want a man because we think it’ll make us feel loved. Or a Tesla bc we’ll feel wealthy.

The key here is there is no guarantee that getting what you want will make you feel how you want to feel.

You need to decide that ahead of time. 

Of course, if you’re not making enough to pay your bills or live in a safe part of town or afford healthy food, that’s a different story. But after covering base needs, how we feel is affected very little by what happens externally. So building up our own ability to feel the way we want to feel is an important complementary part to goal setting. Work on your goals, while also working on feeling the way you want to feel. Practice feeling how you want to feel, especially in connection to taking action on our goals.

Practice feeling how you want to feel, with what you have right now, in this present moment, if NOTHING in your life changed.

So. Let’s talk about SMART goals.

Maybe you've heard of this before. SMART stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound. Structuring your goals this way gives you an anchor as your setting goals and a framework for how to achieve them.

And I want to add a note here about specific vs. non-specific manifestors in Human Design. You can find out whether you're a specific or non-specific manifestor by looking at the arrow at the bottom right of your chart.

There are a bunch of places to get your free Human Design chart - one of them is Jovian Archive, which is linked in the show notes:

The idea here is that some people are built to be really specific in their goal setting & desires. The more detail the better. While others - the non-specific manifestors - are built to have more vague goals.

You can google how to find that in your own human design chart, but I personally found it very useful bc I found out I was nonspecific so it’s better for me to focus on how I want to feel & more general desires versus “I want a 2 story house in Atlanta with a large backyard & 2 car garage.”

It helps some people - the specific manifestors - to get super specific about their exact vision for the future. Get super clear on what your soul is pushing you to do. The magic is in the details, so load up your vision with all the sensations and things you want to draw in. 

Then there are non-specific manifestors. The name is a little misleading, because specificity is still the key here. You need to know what you want.

The difference is that, if you’re a non-specific manifestor, you’re giving the universe a few different options to choose from for your vision. This isn’t the same as calling in every vision you have, it’s just expanding your arsenal. So if your vision is to increase your audience, instead of hyper-focusing on getting a feature in Forbes, you might say, “I want to be featured in an online publication that gets 10 million views a month by February of this year.” It’s still a specific goal, but it’s a little more flexible.

So. Pick which approach sounds like it would work better for you. You might want to consult your Human Design chart to see what it indicates about you. And then turn everything you want into a SMART goal.

So check your HD chart for that arrow at the bottom right of your chart.

If it points left, you’re a specific manifestor.

If it points right, you’re non-specific (or abstract).

Okay, so let’s look at SMART goals in action - 

Despite what hustle culture may want you to believe:

There’s more to life than your business ;)

So you want to make goals in all areas of your life!

Set 1-3 goals like this for every area of your life: work, money, love, family, spirituality, fun, and health.

For example…

In the fun category. Your goal might go from “I want to learn to kite surf” to “I’m going to find a kitesurf instructor & book a session by Feb 15. Then I’m going to practice at least 1x/week.”

In the family category. Your goal to buy a house becomes, “I’m going to buy a 4 bedroom, 3000 square foot house in Boulder (or wherever you want to buy your house) by June 2022.” 

In the spirituality category. Your goal to take more time to do magic might become “I’m going to set aside ten minutes every morning to do my gratitude ritual.”

In the money category. Your goal to make a million dollars will morph into how much you need to make each quarter in 2022 to make that million, and how much you need to make each month to hit that, and how much you need to make each launch & from each offer.

And so on.

You may need to do a little research in this process.

Reframing from a vague desire to a tangible goal could require you to have a research phase, like in my kitesurf example. I need to find who teaches this.

Or maybe you don’t have a morning ritual but you want one. Then you need to actually decide what it’s going to be. So make a date that you’ll decide by.

For the money category, I want you to set your Annual Revenue Goal. This will give you a template for what you want your income to look like, which will help guide you as you’re planning your business and career moves.

As you’re thinking through all these goals, it’s really important to ask yourself, What IMPACT do you want to make?

If you want more fulfillment, impact, and cold hard cash in 2022 you need to loop the impact you want to have on the world into this process. And this will help you get clear on what your soul is craving too.

Impact can mean a lot of things, so the first step is to define it for yourself. What is impact to you?

Maybe it’s sharing your message with 10,000 people or 1M people. Or helping 10 women fall in love. Or giving 5% of profit to charity. Or being able to retire your husband from the job he hates.

Whatever it is. Define it now.

Embodiment is so helpful for this process because, in order to dig deep and understand your desires, you have to connect deeply to your feelings. You need to go through the process of reaching your goal and feeling into it. 

So, look back over the goals you set.

How do you want to feel this year? Do each of these goals make you feel that way?

I know I’ve asked you a ton of juicy questions today — and don’t worry, all the questions are going to be in the show notes. I encourage you to take some time to journal after you're done listening to this episode and get super clear on what you want. Allow yourself as much time as you need to fully embody what it would be like to have those goals.

Or listen to it again with your journal in hand & pause every time I prompt you with a question.

Then go share your goals! At least the first draft. 

This can be with a friend, coach, in the Business As A Magical Practice FB group, or declare it loud & proud on your IG grid ;)

There is so much power in being seen and witnessed in wanting what you want & sharing your goals. I’ve seen so many women who were only able to reach the goals they set because they finally allowed themselves to get comfortable with those high sensations that come when they exposed their desires to others.

Why should anyone care about being an authority or thought leader? (12:02)

This makes business so much easier. With online advertising, there are a lot of marketers who can easily sell their stuff, make some money, and then disappear. They get a good publicist, but they;re a flash in the pan. Thought leaders are in it for the long haul. They’re on the top of the pyramid where all the money is, they’re influencing people and serving their audience. They have their finger on the pulse. And this is valuable to you as the owner of a profitable business.

Being an authority in your industry or having a cult following drives down the cost of acquisition of your customer and drives up the customer lifetime value. When your customers keep coming back to you, that’s when you will make way more money.

“Being an authority makes business so much easier.”

 

What are mistakes people make when they’re trying to establish themselves as a visionary leader & create a fanbase? (16:15)

People think their information, whatever service they’re giving their audience, is enough to create an audience of people who love them and are eager to throw money at them. But that isn’t going to keep people around long enough to help you continue to scale your business for years to come. As Teddy Roosevelt said, ‘people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.’ And it’s true: people’s brains limit them until you’ve emotionally engaged them. 

“If you're serious enough about your work that having a generational impact appeals to you, then you should be serious enough to study the greats that have come before you.”

 

What do you actually need in order to build your status and authority as a thought leader? (29:09)

First, you have to decide what kind of public figure you want to be.  Then get clear on your language, the way you want to communicate and talk to your audience that will leave an impact. And get clear on your stories! What’s your origin story for beginning your business? Start there.

“It’s not just about what you teach, it’s about your relationship with your audience.”

You might have already heard that Halloween costumes originated from pagan traditions where people dressed up in costumes to scare off negative spirits.

These days, Halloween is less about scaring demons away… and more about having an excuse to be someone or something else.

For one night a year on Halloween, we get to become a character who isn’t actually us. You’re doing your makeup differently, you’re wearing something you wouldn’t usually wear, you might even be speaking with an accent or in another voice that isn’t yours.

You become your costume. At least for the night.

And guess what? This practice can totally uplevel your business.

I’m talking more revenue, more visibility, better clients, and the works.

One of the first things I teach in my mastermind, the Alchemical Business Intensive, is the power of adopting an alter ego.

Fear of visibility is one of the main things that holds so many business owners back from hitting their goals.

And I’ve seen this impact business owners even when they’re already making multiple 6 and 7 figures. Even if they’re totally fine with being the face and name of their business, this fear shows up in smaller ways that hold them back from bringing all their genius ideas forward in their business.

Obviously, if you’re scared of people interacting with your work or you’re worried about what every one of the thousands of people in your audience have to think about you... your business is never going to be as successful as it could be.

This especially pops up when you’re reaching for the NEXT level.

Maybe you’re all fine and dandy when your 10,000 followers interact with your IG. But what about 100,000 people? Or a million?

So here’s a fun hack: create an alter ego.

Celebrities do this all the time.

They're actually trained to do this, because when you're in the public eye, you get bashed a lot. And being able to say, “They’re not bashing me, they’re bashing my alter ego” is really protective for them as individuals.

This is literally what publicists do, they help celebrities create and maintain this public image of whatever they want to show the world.

If you’re in the public eye at all, even if it’s just to a few thousand people on Instagram, stepping into a new identity can bring you so much confidence around showing up. And it gives you resilience if something that you don’t want happens, like you get a nasty message. 

Just think of how you feel when you’re wearing a halloween costume or go to a costume party. Isn’t it so intriguing that you start acting a different way than your “normal self”?

Your halloween costume may have you making out with someone you normally wouldn’t think of as “your type” or “in your league”, or going out and smashing pumpkins… Something you wouldn’t dream of in “normal life.”

And it’s not just Scorpio vibes in the air. It’s the power of an alter ego.

The bigger your business gets, the more important this is.

And alter egos are such a good fix for this because they trigger altered states.

Anytime you transcend or descend from your average waking state, this is usually coupled with releases of various chemicals in your brain (aka — an altered state).  We do this on a daily basis: exercising, drinking, caffeine, spending time in nature, listening to music, having sex, even smiling.

And there are also more potent ways to get into altered states: Shamanic drumming, meditating, hypnosis, Kundalini yoga, lucid dreaming, active dreaming.

But there's also accessing the alter ego, where you’re consciously stepping outside your average waking state and into a new identity.

And we can create alter egos from anything we want.

The classic example is Sasha Fierce: Beyonce started her career by singing for her church. And as she got bigger and bigger, it felt uncomfortable for her to be sexy or dance in certain ways coming from that church background. 

So she created the alter ego Sasha Fierce, where she felt more freedom and confidence in stepping into a new role outside of her background, and leaning into those parts of her career that she used to feel cautious about.

If you do this as a business owner or Thought Leader, it allows your brain to be able to separate itself from feedback & criticism.

Instead of people criticising YOU… they’re criticising your alter ego.

So here’s how you can actually create your alter ego:

Take a seat or lie down somewhere comfortable and open up to a new page in your notebook.

Journal on this question:

  • What fear is preventing you from growing to the next level? (i.e., being seen)
  • What quality or behavior do I need to bust through that? (confidence, radiance…)
  • Who do I know that embodies that?
  • What is my unique version of that embodiment?
  • You can use that person as your alter ego or you can envision your unique embodiment of that quality.

This is the start of your new alter ego. 

Start carrying these qualities over to your new persona.

So maybe you start wearing red on work days - or not wearing anything at all. Or you start being loud and outgoing, even though you’ve always been an introvert.

And this can carry over into every area of your life. If your alter ego is charming, you might become the person who starts up conversation in line at the grocery store. If she’s a ton of fun, maybe you start going out to bars more. Or you even start having more sex, if your alter ego is super sexy and sensual.

Just start LIVING as her.

This persona is totally up to you to define. Make her yours. Give her all the traits you envy in other people. Let her do all the things you always wanted to do. 

The whole point is that you’re not toning anything down. A lot of the time, people will actually dial up the volume on those parts of themselves that they usually silence, and let it take over.

Just remember that this alter ego isn’t you. You can even give her a name if you want to -- but you don’t have to.

Invoke her when you need to - before the sales call, when writing an email, before recording the video.

So my challenge for you is that you start showing up for your audience as this other version of yourself.

This one highly magical practice can completely transform your marketing.

Caroline is a body love coach and naked yoga teacher who makes organic cacao in the Peruvian Amazon and holds cacao ceremonies every lunation.

She guides and supports clients back to deep connection and love with their bodies so that they can access the infinite power, wisdom, creativity, intuition and juiciness that the body is a portal to. She helps people come back to their natural state of embodiment and supports them in working through the trauma and shame that is preventing them from fully inhabiting their body.

If you’ve ever felt discomfort or frustration for your body, we've been brought up in a world that has actively encouraged that. Bodies are causes of pain and shame, especially for people who have bodies with wombs. This disembodiment that human beings have is the cause of so much suffering because it divorces us from the power and wisdom that we can access through our bodies.

Caroline’s vision is to reconnect humanity with our bodies and power so we can move beyond this story of being oppressed. Doing this work on an individual level helps on a collective level. A side effect of becoming more embodied is becoming more present too.

Caroline was a self-described workaholic before she joined the Alchemical Business Intensive and started working with Sam to build a scalable foundation for her business. By combining that work with increased embodiment, and feeling into her copy and branding, she’s shed that identity and no longer feels like she should be working all the time. Through our group container, her embodiment practices, and her close relationship with the plant medicine cacao, Caroline entered a new level of consciousness and connection to her business.

How to activate full presence within your body so that you can use it at its fullest potential. (20:36)

Body positivity is the seed in someone’s mind that will take them down the path of embodiment. But it’s possible to be body positive and love your body while still being disembodied. You can celebrate your body but still not deeply feel and inhabit it.

There are different levels of relationship to your body, and many people are in the surface-level “fling” stage than the stage where they are really ready to enter a conscious relationship with their body. This path is a process, and there are many layers and shadows that need to be peeled back before true embodiment can come.

This week, I’m sharing my key insights & takeaways from the most recent launch of the Alchemical Business Intensive mastermind.

This was my second time launching the Alchemical Business Intensive… and I nearly doubled the revenue!

This podcast is heavy on the nuts and bolts because those are the questions I hear from you. So I’m diving deep into the nitty gritty!

There's a lot I did the same during this second launch...

👍 It's the same program!

I love re-launching because it’s SO much easier than the first time through a program.

👍 I reused IG posts. Like a lot of them.

👍 I had a suuuuper long open enrollment window.

A lot of people use 5-14 days as an “open cart” window. I did 3 months!

I hate the feeling of pressure, so during both my first and second launches I promoted early and gave people a lot of room to decide.

And here's what I did differently this time around...

✨ I upped the price of the entire program & used the price increase as an incentive to join the program early.

✨ I offered a second pricing tier: one for the group program and one for a VIP level for people who also wanted monthly 1-1 calls with me.

✨ I had an affiliate!

This brought in a TON of applications, which was both GOOD (way more eyeballs) & BAD (not everyone was a good fit).

As a “Shield volcano” archetype as Elyna Anderson diagnosed me in our podcast interview - I LOVE consistent growth and steady improvement, so watching this program (including it’s launch) come into its next evolution is truly satisfying for me.

Now I’m celebrating 11 truly incredible, powerful women in this round that are already on their way to getting their TIME back, their profits up, building beautiful friendships, and having an immense impact on the world through their soul’s work.

So why should you even care about this??

Because reviewing after a launch can be just as valuable as the money that came in during the launch.

I see so many people so future oriented on the NEXT sale and the NEXT launch that they miss all the juice of what just happened.

When you CELEBRATE, you INTEGRATE.

And evaluating a launch, whether it turned out how you wanted it to or not, is the key to FAST growth.

What do flowers have to do with creativity? (1:10)
Amy found in her personal experience that flower essences opened her up to being more creative, and it makes sense because flowers are the highest expression of a plant. When a plant blooms, that’s when a plant is expressing itself in all its creativity. There are some esoteric theories about flowers being the cosmic energy of the universe expressed on Earth, and Amy believes they can help us be more in flow and feel more creative because they are the expression of this god or universal energy.

Can people use plant spirit healing at home? (14:19)

You can start a relationship with a plant or flower you find in your backyard or out on a hike. You can also access healing plant spirits from anywhere, even if the plants aren’t there right now. Amy starts with her clients by using plants they have a history or relationship with already.

 

What are the best plants to communicate with to support business owners? (21:25)

Any plant that will help you express yourself, like flowers in general. Amy has a flower essence, Self-Heal, which is designed to heal your throat center and teach you how to express your needs and desires. Yellow flowers like dandelion are also very helpful in finding the strength and confidence to expand your business, it helps us grow and shine our light. Star of Bethlehem is a great plant for when you’re just starting out, and can be especially helpful to instill women with a belief in their own divinity and a capacity to channel that divine energy.

How to create more TIME & Spaciousness in your business23 Sep 202100:40:37

 

I’ve been doing a bunch of sales calls for the Alchemical BUsiness Intensive, and there’s been a recurring theme:

Whether people are at $15 a month in revenue or $30,000 a month in revenue, there is a consistent lack of focus and using more (more projects, to-dos, social media channels) to cover up business or personal issues.

This is a problem if you want to create a business that isn’t running your life.

And it has a lot to do with time.

One example:

A woman I talked with doesn;t have fully booked 1:1 session, and she’s undercharging. So there’s this lack of revenue, resources, and influx of cash coming into her business.

At the same time, she’s launched two group programs and didn’t hit either of her goals for those.

So she’s putting a lot of energy into her business promoting all these services. There’s a huge energy leak in this.

Not only does she have a wide range of offerings, but these are a bunch of different things to promote and marketing channels.

She already knows the 80% of her clients come from one affiliate source.

But instead of focusing on that, she’s spreading out her energy through all these other channels. The result is that she’s exhausted and she’s not seeing massive results.

As humans, we tned to make our life harder than it needs to be. This is often to cover up trauma or avoid scary things.

If youre someone who’s using business to avoid dealing with d epression, anxiety, or trauma… or you want to avoid a marriage you’re dissatisfied with… or your body is in a lot of pain and you want to avoid that... there are so many ways we can use time-sucking projects to procrastinate from addressing these.

This includes your business. It might mean putting off raising your prices or launching the podcast you know would serve you by putting energy into other parts of your business that aren’t serving you.

What you want to do instead is focus.

That looks like choosing one social media channel or one lead source.

If most of your business came in through referrals, put your energy in there instead of burning out on Instagram.

Obviously, as you get fully booked and you want to continue growing your business, expanding your marketing is a great idea.

But first you have to get there.

Focus on one offer at a time

If you’re a course creator, make the course you have incredibly potent, so you give your clients incredible results every time they go through it.

Get really clear on what you and your team needs to do to make it run more smoothly.

Automate as much as possible.

Make that one offer as efficient as possible.

Think of marketing and delivery as on a seesaw. 

Marketing and sales on one side, delivery on the other side.

As you put more time and energy into marketing and sales, it’s going to naturally fill up the delivery side.

But if you overfill the delivery side and overestimate how much you can deliver on, suddenly you aren’t spending any time on marketing and sales. And then when you’re doing delivering to your clients on that side… there are no new clients to serve because you haven’t been putting time into your marketing and sales.

This is what creates the feast or famine mode.

You don’t want to be overfilled on the delivery side.

What gets you out of this is…

...making sure you’re pricing things correctly.

...becoming more efficient at delivering results for your clients.

...systematizing your online course.

When you do this, 

And your offers will become more scalable.

Commit to not being busy

Being busy is a choice. 

Really.

Are you being strategic in how you use your time?

Are you saying no to things that don’t matter?

Are you focusing on the things that are actually moving the needle forward?

Committing to not being busy includes ruthlessly cutting out the projects or systems or habits that you’re doing, or that your team is doing, that don’t actually matter.

Is instagram actually getting you clients? Or are you spending 10-20 hours a week on there without getting any clients? If you do get clients from there, can you get more efficient on it?

The next step is ruthlessly delegating what you don’t need to do.

After you cut things out, delegate what needs to be done but you don’t need to do. Hand over admin and customer service tasks that are important to your business to your team.

Allow yourself to be supported and be willing to communicate what you need to the people who are supporting you.

Then, review.

Review what’s working and not working.

Get really clear on how you and your team are spending your time.

What works and what doesn’t work? What actually has a return on investment?

And get clear on why you are putting certain things off.

Maybe it’s because you’re scared, or you’re having a trauma response.

Often the things we put off are happening because there’s an underlying issue, or they don’t actually need to happen and can be cut.

Focus is a magical practice

Your attention is sacred.

When we are actually focusing on things, what will bubble up are things you need to address.

Image the sun coming down on the earth on a sunny day, hitting everything in your neighborhood.

When you take a magnifying glass, it focuses that ray of sunlight. And then you can burn an ant or a hole in a leaf, whatever… with that same sunlight that’s already dispersing around your neighborhood.

Because you are focusing all that sun’s energy in one spot.

The same goes for your attention.

If you’re choosing to focus on one project for this quarter, this big focus for the month, and you’re committed to not busying yourself with other things, like checking your DMs 100 times a day…

...what will bubble up in your free time is stuff that actually needs to be addressed.

That’s powerful healing.

And all it takes is your focused attention.

Blocking your growth

How can you grow another 50%? 100%?

If you’re already exhausted and too busy… you’re not going to.

You won’t be able to handle it. 

And you’ll be too busy or tired for your best ideas to come through.

You need to give time and spaciousness for your best ideas, the divine to channel through you.

Or an extra hour to problem-solve or think about a better way to communicate your offer and get your clients results. 

That’s a much better use of time than scrolling on social media or checking your email 10 times a day.

Plus…

When we multitask, it lowers our IQ 15 points.

And it takes us 15 minutes to get back to what we were working on in the first place.

So maybe don’t stop writing that blog post to check your email.

Your brain literally will not work at its fullest capacity.

Think you’re good at multitasking? Studies have shown the 2.5% of the population can process multiple tasks at once.

So maybe you are actually good at it… but more than likely, you aren’t.

And the average employee is only productive less than 3 hours a day.

Get willing to master time and cut out the distractions so you can avoid this.

Let’s take a look at the big picture

On a micro level, there are tasks like checking email, writing blog posts, content creation, all those things that need to happen in your business on a daily or weekly basis.

But on a macro level, you can focus your priorities over a month or one quarter…

...and that’s going to make you way more productive.

Because you’ll be focusing on your main goals. You’ll always be looking ahead and tapping into your big picture goals.

Do this exercise today

Set your top 1 - 3 tasks on your to-do list before bed (or tomorrow in the morning when you wake up, before you start working).

Then when you start working, turn your phone on airplane mode until those tasks are done.

That’s how you master time ;)

Our most-loved guest is BACK! Simone is a life coach, business mentor for coaches, and the host of the Joyful Marketing podcast. She started out as a tarot reading hypnotist who loved the work of helping people but wasn’t making much money at all, then figured out how to do the marketing and selling stuff in a way that doesn’t feel gross. 

Simone hosts the Joyful Marketing podcast and works with coaches all over the world to create a revolution in love-based marketing. Between 2019 and 2020 she made almost two million dollars and has coached dozens and dozens of coaches to get them fully booked.

How Simone developed her own fullness and sovereignty, which allowed her to show up fully in all her relationships — including her relationship to her audience. (27:33)

Years of therapy, getting coached, owning her story, and learning archetypal astrology cracked the code for Simone. This all helped her explore the paradox of who she is without viewing any of it as “wrong.” It helped her to deprogram the shame she felt around her edges of paradox. That work to understand and forgive herself helped her become available to her audiences by a deep level, because it helped her take down walls that kept her from being seen and loved — without focusing on someone else’s reaction to her full self and sovereignty.

How to get to know yourself so that you can see where you may be holding yourself back from fully engaging with your audience and selling your offer in all your wholeness. (30:37)

To show up authentically, you first have to know who you are. There are plenty of ways to get to the heart of your unique gifts, goals, and mission — and why they’re important to you.

Here are questions to journal on to help you understand the thoughts that may be holding you back from fully showing up:

What are you afraid people are going to find out about you? Why does your offer matter to you? What is the truth of what you want to offer? What do you want people to think about you? In what ways are you trying to control other people’s thoughts about you? Who do you want to spend time with? Who does it light you up to think about helping?

“What gets me jazzed is knowing there are people on the other side of my screen who feel deeply seen, understood, and loved by the content I’m putting out there.” - Simone

How to know when you’re truly being vulnerable online. (36:00)

Showing up honestly and showing your audience the true you… sometimes mean having a nervous system breakdown! Simone says the test of being vulnerable means throwing up in a bucket after posting because you are taking the emotional risk to be seen.

If you’re not taking that emotional risk, it means you’re in the space of the known and accepted, showing your audience what you think it’s safe to show them. Being vulnerable means sharing what feels unsafe, what’s forbidden, what makes you worry about being ostracized. It’s the quality of how much she trusts her audience with the real Simone, to see and love her when she is taking emotional risks to be known. This is what built Simone’s business and cult following.

And consistently, she hears that nobody communicates like her, hers are the only emails they open, that what she wrote changed their life. She believes that more business owners aren’t getting those messages because they aren’t taking the emotional risks to be known.

“People stay on the surface because they don’t want to take emotional risks. What happens is their content ends up sounding like everybody else’s.” - Simone

How you can create a cult following so people want to read everything you post and buy from you. (46:02)

The first four things you need to have: an excellent offer, a clear mission, self-awareness, and emotional vulnerability. A big part of that means asking yourself, How am I available to be known by myself and others? You’ll have to listen to the episode to hear Simone dive deeper!

Our business is the surface of the earth, and when we keep the heat alive we are able to create these incredible things with it.

When the heat goes out, it can make us depressed and constantly overthinking. The energy has nowhere to go. As women, the heat is often shut down early in life, and we have to reclaim it and get back to it to reignite that passion within ourselves. Tapping into your creation force can help you feel that deep passion in your business and also implement your ideas in a way that's sustainable and nourishing to you.

Should we focus on strengthening our inherent creation style to build our business, or is there value in learning from other kinds of creators? (37:10)

Both! Someone’s creation style is how their brain naturally thinks, and it’s a great idea to set your business up based on that for ultimate success. Other creation styles can feel like a foreign language at first that make us feel contorted in our business. You don't want to build your business completely on a creation style that doesn't reflect you, because it will leave you burnt out and unhappy. But learning from one another will allow us to grow and reach new levels in our business.

How to give yourself permission to make a business 100% based off of yourself. (39:00)

Of course, you can always look at your business and see where it’s working and where it’s not working. The best way to do this is to start asking yourself deep questions so that you can understand how to actually set your business up. What are you interested in? How do you actually want your days to look? When do you get your replenishing and creativity from?

When you move in the world from a deep knowing that you have enough and you want the best for people, there is so much more grace in life.

You will find people reacting to you differently. 

If our current society and culture in most of the world, men have better examples of healthy competition, where examples for women tend to lean in the toxic competition direction

Women are wired for community, so our potential is limitless when we come together.

You have undoubtedly experienced this…

When someone you love hits a big goal & has a big win & you feel such joy for them

If that is your base point, everything changes. 

This is wiring you for abundance.

And it’s also wiring you for a joyful life.

I see this in clients too in regards to building a team.

Then turn the volume up on that memory or vision. Allow your nervous system to access this feeling of safety.

While you're envisioning this, begin to think about what you want to experience in life. This can mean sexually thriving, moving into the next level of your business - whatever you want. Activitely imagine that scenario while feeling the somatic safety. That will start to wire those things - your future goals & the feeling of safety - together in your nervous system.

The first element of Externalized Energies is your Business’ Identity.

Your business is a separate entity from you, so you can design it to act as a house for energy to build up on its own.

It builds up its own assets. It’s own identity. It’s own network & reputation.

When you empower your business with its own identity then you gain so much more stability. Your business’ success is no longer reliant on little old you & your meat suit living in a 3d reality.

Our daily actions.

While having rhythm on a monthly and quarterly basis gives our action context & charge, daily and weekly actions are the electric pulse that give your business life.

Beyond the To Do list of what actually needs to get done to deliver and sell your life changing programs and services… as a visionary CEO there are actions to take that allow your biz to grow rapidly & to innovate.

And as the leader of your business, you are the energetic set point that everything else ripples out from. Your thoughts, beliefs, and expectations matter.

What I invite you to do today is identify what practices you can do on a daily basis to get your mind, body & spirit right.

Here are some ideas to start you off, but please use your own experience & self knowledge here because what is effective for one person won’t necessarily be for the next.

For your mind you can - read, journal, or do mindset work.

For body you can - work out, get a massage, dance to your favorite song, do yoga, have sex.

For spirit you can - meditate, do eft tapping, perform the Lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram.

When you create rituals around filling up your mind, body & spirit, the daily actions that you have to do to get project done become easier & it will actually help you grow faster bc you won’t subconsciously be blocking your growth bc you’re just so tired or stressed.

Rhythm touches every part of life, from the moon cycle, to our heart beat. A consistent rhythm brings harmony & peace to our life. It enlivens us & helps us keep momentum.

Adding the structure of Rhythm into our business slashes overwhelm & confusion because we have a pace for creation & review, for decision making & follow through.

The first way we can bring rhythm into our business is with a Monthly Marketing Flow. With each month we can plan our marketing efforts, take action, and then review.

Review is the piece that many people miss. Reviewing our action helps us to learn & optimize, so we know where we’re wasting energy & where we should be doubling down.

To honor this lunar rhythm, today take stock of what has brought in the most results for you in the past - what direct actions & campaigns have you done that have brought in more clients, money & sales.

Money is a taboo fucking subject. The collective teaches us that we definitely want to make lots and lots of money, but… it’s also a bad thing so don’t do it or else you’ll be a bad person.

We learn the rules of money from childhood. From our parents. From our trauma.

But a relationship with Money is 100% on you. As a powerful magical person you get to write the rules. So why not rig the game for your pleasure?

Hi friend - so we’re doing something special these next few days - we’re talking about the 3 keys to a business that feels juicy, fulfilling, and in FLOW.

Today we’re digging into that very first one - our relationship with our Self.

Okay, I’m sure you already realize that this is a big one.

This includes our Genius, our mindset, how we talk to ourselves… and it also includes things like our Human Design & natal chart Astrology.

When we form a relationship with ourselves then we tap into what we’re meant to do on the planet. When we follow our design then everything gets easier.

Instead of pushing to achieve things that we’ve been conditioned to want, we shed what’s not true for us & we’re able to listen to 

If you don’t base your business off of a strong relationship with your Self, then you’ll most likely want to scale super fast just to get out of actually being in your business. You’ll burn out, or close shop after a few years.

So your invitation for today is to reflect on what parts of your business you really LOVE doing & you feel like you were designed to do.

Really try to dig in here. If you haven’t done much deconditioning work then thoughts could come up like, “who am I to be a leader in this?” or “What would people think of me if I pivoted to this?” 

And that is a good indicator that you’re onto your next level.

We need to create powerful relationships with our Self, our Money, and our Clients & Potential Clients

If we don’t have these in place we feel ICKY in our business, our sales, and our marketing.

For Rhythm, we need a Monthly Marketing Cycle to plan & review, a Seasonal Rhythm, and Daily Actions that keep our momentum.

Without Rhythm we feel confused, overwhelmed, lost at sea.

The Externalized Energies we set in our businesses allow our business to grow without our constant attention. This means your biz has its own Identity and Systems.

It also means you plug into the Big Externalized Energies in the Beyond: (the Universe, God/dess, your ancestors, Magic…)

All of these things work together to give you flow.

And over the next 9 days we’ll be digging into each of these elements so you can start laying a foundation of flow.

Misfit magic is a type of magic that Serena sees often from people who are helpers, healers, and in service to the world. To Serena, Big Happy Money means she doesn’t just want to make money, and she doesn’t just want to get by. She wants a lot of money, and she wants to receive and spend money with integrity. With none of that icky feeling. A central component of this is the idea that what you put out into the world is what you get back. If you live in a scarcity mindset as a business owner, you attract people who don’t want to spend money to work with you.

Serena's biggest transformation from when she first had to borrow money from her family to start her business, to the present day when she has way more than enough money. (29:00)

Serena said the biggest difference in her business now from when she started came when she decided that instead of complaining and naval gazing, she was going to commit to the belief that she already had enough information and innate talent to help someone. Someone, somewhere, could be supported by the information and hard-won information she had. Her business could be about service. After that, she started to make offers online and the clients came rolling in.

Olga started working in the design & style world since the mid-90s. She started as a magazine assistant and worked her way up to editor. She also worked for House Beautiful magazine, West Elm, and Disney. She has a master’s degree in set design, and spent her life designing spaces. At the same time, she was studying feng shui, energetics, psychology, and doing ayahuasca ceremonies. As the years went on, she got more and more mystical as she progressed on her spiritual healing journey.

For a long time, those were two separate parts of who she was. Eventually, she started bringing in energy work and healing into her work with her design clients. She started to see how the negative experiences in her life were actually manifesting in their homes, and by shifting their homes, energy in their lives would start moving, too.

By changing your environment, you can catalyze the future you want. It’s like an online dating avatar -- you could be sleeping, but it’s still working out there. When you start shifting your home, you shift your frequency. Olga brings in a lot of psychology into her work, looking at your patterning and releasing what doesn’t serve you.

If you want to find a partner, is your home set up for that? Or is your bed pushed against the wall, with no room for someone else? If you want to lose weight, does your kitchen reflect who you want to be in a year?

How can magical business owners use Spatial Alchemy to manifest their goals? (14:00)

Olga brings in numerology, chakras, and symbols into her work. Your desk should be facing the door, not facing the wall with your back to the door. Things should feel rich. What can you bring in that your future self would love?

If you want to bring money into your life, you can start by putting a dollar and quartz into a plant and watering it. Whatever the sun hits grows, so putting this plant where the sun hits will grow more money. Have as big a desk as you can for your room.

What should we be paying attention to in our lives when designing our space? (21:50)

Look at the patterns manifesting in your home. Do you pile things up or buy things on clearance that don’t mean much to you? Do you hold onto things you don’t like? These are focal points to start on. You don’t need to re-do your entire house to call in fresh energy. All you have to do is create a corner or a table-top that you love. Just change 3 little spots to represent the life you want.

Sit back and think of your space. What do you want to experience in your life that you’re not currently experiencing?

Today we’re talking about Creating a business action plan that aligns with the seasons. And make sure you stay on ‘til the end, because I’ll be leading you through a guided summer solstice meditation!

Quarterly planning in your business is so fucking important.

I don’t think it’s talked about enough in the online business space - or it’s talked about only in the higher level spaces that fewer entrepreneurs hang out in.

While annual planning is fine - and it’s the most common planning since everyone is so rabid for change with a new year starting… we can’t realistically see beyond 1 quarter.

It’s an easy rhythm to set up NOW. And it probably takes less time than you think.

Go on, head to your Google Calendar & section off a full day near the solstices & equinoxes each year. A day for your quarterly planning, or as we’re talking about today - a day to create your business action plan that aligns with the upcoming season.

This is something I’m making all the folks in the Alchemical Business Intensive set up, too. It’s a day for them to really step out of the day-to -day & embody the Visionary CEO. The one who is steering the ship & visioning the future. The one who sees 5 years, 10 years out, while staying grounded in the present of their biz so they can make the next level steps for the next phase of their business - whether that’s hitting $1 million in revenue in the next 18 months, or hiring their next team member, getting their first client at their dream pricing for the very first time, or just taking a fucking vacation because their systems are finally in place.

So let’s get you on this train! Or on this unicorn? Onto your desired transportation unit of choice, for sure.

Summer solstice is JUST around the corner - meaning, it’s on SUNDAY! This Sunday, June 20th.

And while we COULD say that we’re heading into Q3 of the year… we’re not muggles so let’s acknowledge the very real & tangible fact that SUMMER starts on Sunday!

The seasons are a beautiful way to section off the year so that our businesses are more aligned with nature.

Whether or not you have an online business, the natural world affects your business.

And that’s a GOOD THING!

Because the natural world is a very abundant place. 

When a tree is in season, when it is bearing fruit, there is more than you even fucking know what to do with. 

There are more apples on there than you even WANT to eat. Or more than you could even COMFORTABLY eat.

 

You have way way way more than enough. You have to share. You have to give them away or sell them. 

Or even compost them so that they feed the worms and creatures and turn into fertile soil to grow even more future fruit from.

And the more-than-enough comes from honoring each season. 

It comes because you watered the tree & gave it the nutrients it needed when it first started to bloom in spring. Because you let it rest and gave it space in the winter. And now it’s summer & it’s overflowing with fruit.

Honoring the truth that there’s a season for growth and blossoming, a season for ripening and shining, a season for harvesting and reflecting, a season for recuperation and quiet.

We need it all.

Our meat suit needs it. Our minds need it.

But here’s a quick overview

Spring is about seeds being planted and taking hold. There’s fresh energy & new ideas. 

It’s all about TAKING ACTION and the flow of ideas outward. Deciding how you’re going to bring your creative projects from your heart & your mind out into the world.

Summer is like a tree laden with fruit - things are slower & juicy. It’s a social time with late muggy nights. 

You might find yourself wanting to take some time outside, spend time with family, go on vacation -- hopefully you have the systems in your business set up so you can actually do those things without being glued to a computer all day.

Autumn is the harvest. Again, a time for action and reaping what you sowed. You’re reviewing and assessing and being vigilant. 

This is a time for reflection & death. You’re thinking back on your projects & letting go of what didn’t serve you. Releasing any pent up resentment.

Winter is about calm and peace. The natural world is asleep, so our inner world turns brighter. 

We’re huddled around fires & we’re taking rest. Resting & recouping.

Obviously we’re going into Summer as I’m recording this. But if you’re listening to this episode at another time of year, all of this still applies. There just may be some energetic shifts you’ll want to make based on what season you’re in.

So. As we step into summer, you may already be feeling the HEAT.

While the sunny days bring us outdoors, the midday heat also brings siesta.

If you participated in Your Best Year Yet back in December, you heard Master Astrologer Donna Woodwell talk about this summer in particular being a time for being in a cave (lol).

(If you have no idea what I’m talking about, Your Best Year Yet was a free 5-day business alchemy experience where we dropped a new podcast every week. I’ll link to it in the show notes.)

But have you been feeling this?? I know I have.

All the planets in retrograde & the eclipses have many of us on an emotional rollercoaster, and wanting to be in quiet.

This is our first summer living in Lahaina, which is the very dry and hot area of Maui & I’ve been forcing my husband Eddy to come home midday & actually rest, out of the sun & heat.

He will easily work outside on his farm 12-18 hours a day which now, in the hot hot heat of summer, looks like headaches and exhaustion.

Not okay.

AND, a really good representation of the energy of summer!

Because of the heat, he has to be more attentive to the plants - particularly watering them more.

But still, he physically has to take a break midday…

So for our summer planning, we have to balance the energies of tending our plants -- tending to our businesses & clients… while also giving ourselves the rest and play and relishing of our physical senses that are all a must for summer.

So onto our business action planning aligned with the seasons!!

Let’s first get you excited about doing this.

Because you mayyyy be tempted to just… skip it. 

There are things to do & every things running smoothly enough.

Or you’re going full steam ahead for your next big goal and stopping to plan feels like a break in momentum.

Or maybe you’re struggling!! And your brain is convincing you that staying in action and motion and overwhelm is definitely a better option than slowing down and addressing what the fuck is going on.

These seasonal planning days are a time for both reviewing the previous season and planning for the next one.

# Elements to Include in Your Quarterly Planning Day1: The Theme of the Season

Define the theme you’d like for this season.

This can be a word or a feeling or your goal or a mantra.

2: Financial Planning

This is the big picture. 

How much revenue did you bring in last season?

How much of that was profit?

(Reminder that your profit is the total money in minus the total money you spent in your business)

(Bonus points if you’re including the SALARY you’re paying yourself as a business expense. Because it is.)

How much do you want to make this upcoming quarter?

Both gross & net.

If you sell an offer that is open all the time, like a coaching package, or an evergreen course, you can chunk that out into how much you’d like to make per month & per week.

If you have a launch model where you’re launching courses or programs every couple months, or once a season, then get clear on what that means in terms of what your pricing needs to be & how many buyers you need.

3: Goals & Results

Identify the 3 main goals that you want to commit to for this season. And yes I mean only 3.

Identify the very specific, very tangible results that are attached to your goals. What will manifest that you know that your goal is complete?

Beyond the Goal & Key Results, you want to create an actual action plan for each goal. What projects need to be completed? Who’s responsible for what? What are the deadlines?

4: Check in on your systems

There are 3 main systems in your business: 

  1. Your marketing system where you generate new potential customers for your business.
  2. Your sales system where you convert your potential customers into paying customers.
  3. Your operations system where you deliver the results that your clients and customers have paid you for (the website, the coaching, the piece of art, the marketing strategy...)

Each quarter you want to review the improvements you made to each of these systems, and then decide which parts of your systems you want to tweak or experiment with or create completely fresh in the next few months.

5: Address your Glass Ceiling

On this Seasonal Planning day you also want to identify the biggest obstacle or opportunity that you have in your business. Your glass ceiling.

This is the biggest factor that’s currently stunting your growth.

Maybe it’s not a big enough audience, or not enough sales, or not enough time.

You next want to brainstorm as many potential solutions that you can for this specific thing.

And then identify which of these are Low Hanging Fruit & then which of these would be a massive payoff if it all goes right.

The cross-over of those 2 elements is what we’re looking for - easy to implement & huge potential payoff.

You’ll want to choose 3 or 4 of your brainstormed solutions to focus on this quarter. So decide & then create that action plan.

TRANSCRIPT: Hi, everyone. Welcome back to the Regenerative Business Podcast with Sam Garcia, which is who I am.  And I have a special guest today. I have been saying this for weeks, but I'm so excited to have Robin Langford here from Wicked Veracity. She is a traditional astrologer. She is a stoic. She is a witchy human.

I don't even know if, like, do you identify as a witch?  Oh, she's a witch.  aNd she's been on for the last few years giving our annual forecasts. For those who are into astrology but don't know traditional astrology, it is  far more accurate and impressive  when it comes to actual  I guess predicting the future.

Can we just, yeah, predicting the future. So if you've worked with people who are more modern astrology or, or archetypal astrology or all the other types of astrology, and you've been like, this is bullshit. It's because it wasn't traditional astrology. So strap yourselves in

and hi Robin.  Hello.  Yes. I am a traditional astrologer and it is predictive.

I do believe fate's a thing. And. I do think that the other forms of astrology are exceptionally good at personality things and helping people get to know it, know themselves but they don't, they fall apart a little bit when it comes to predictive astrology in my experience.  Yeah, so let's just jump in.

We were talking a little bit before and I was like, I don't,  I don't want to say things.  And Sam's like, no, say the thing. So we're just going to start off. I'm going to say this.  Go ahead.

Oh, I was just gonna say, I'm, I,  Robin didn't want to say things, but I was like, no, the people listening to this podcast are like more prepper type, they're, they know that the world is going to shit and they've been sensing it, like, whether you psychically sense it or you're looking around and you're like, crossing your fingers that the American government falls apart, like, this might be our year, you guys.

Not this year, but this is the last, what I would say, But it's also a pretty semi stable year for a while. Because 2027 have a variety of things that are going to be happening that are a little  unsettling and that indicate a lot of massive change. And one of the examples that I'm going to give, and there's a bunch, but I'm only going to do the one,  is that in 2025,  it Uranus moves into Gemini and Uranus has been in Gemini in American history three times, and those three times were the American Revolution, the  Civil War and World War Two and that sounds scary, which is why I'm like, I'm not really ready to have a conversation about it, but the thing to remember is, whether you like the American government or not, all three of those movements moved social justice and liberation forward unequivocally and in massive ways  and while they were war is horrible, et cetera, et cetera.

People dying sucks, right?  It's generally necessary in the course of human events to have a war if you want things to change. So,  none of those were objectively bad for everybody,  period. Right? Like, there were a lot of people who made a lot of money. There were a lot of people who got more freedom. I would argue that's pretty fantastic.

Yeah.  And so a lot of good things come out of war, whether people want to admit it or not,  and I'm not saying that this will be a war because each thing has looked different slightly. Right. But  it's like, there could be some.  A greater degree of instability, not this year as much. But coming up, and so the way that I'm looking at this year is like a very.

almost preppery kind of year, which is what we were talking about. And a lot of my magical creatures, which is what I identify. I mean, I, my clientele tend to be entrepreneurs that are either neurodivergent or magical and sometimes both. And a lot of my magical creatures have already kind of been like, I want to solidify this.

I want. I want more security here. I want less reliance there. And I think that's a lot of what you tapped into with your book. Is that feeling that the magical creatures have been, it's been building. And the reason it's been building is because the astrology is moving in that direction. Right. And.

Yeah.

The other thing we wanted to preface was if you hear things about this year or future years, it doesn't necessarily mean that that is going to be your personal life experience, because our, this is the astrology of the collective, not necessarily the astrology that you personally will be experiencing.

If you want to know how exact things hit your chart, your personal chart, work with an astrologer because they will be able to tell you,

oh,

oh, oh, maybe not work with an astrologer. Work with a traditional astrologer, not just any astrologer. It doesn't have to be me, but like, you want to make sure that they're a Hellenistic astrologer or they say they're a traditional astrologer because.

You just do. And if you want to work with me, that's great. But if you don't, like, that's who I would go to. And you

can't hire Robin for individual readings. She's fantastic. And I've only heard insanely positive things about having a reading with her. So her or another traditional astrologer would definitely serve you.

For like a once a year check in with

how this year will look like for you.  Absolutely. Cause there's so many different things that impact whether or not a transit, which is like what the planets are doing at any given moment are going to have an impact on you. And just some of them is like, where are the eclipses in your chart?

Is your chart specifically being triggered by any of the events? What is your annual perfection? There are so many things. And if it's none of those are being affected in your chart, you might not even notice it. You might be like, I don't know. I was on a cruise. It was fine.  You know, it could be nothing for you.

All right. So those are all my caveats,  right? That's all of them. We can yeah. So I'm going to say that January is a really big new beginning in a way that most  calendar year, new years are not. And that's because Mercury station direct on new year's day, Jupiter station direct a couple of days before there's only one planet in the sky that is retrograde right now, and that is Uranus.

And he's like. He's fine that he's retrograde, right? This January, February, specifically January though, is when, if you were gonna hustle, that's, that's when I'd be hustling and I'd be planting all your seeds and kind of getting a really good idea of what would serve you well, and  what your ideal is, and working towards that as hard as you can, so that even if there's a storm later on, that you have, you know, you have your, you have your hurricane supplies, you have your You know what I'm saying?

Like you have the foundation set as an entrepreneur for what you want. You're not, this isn't maybe the best year to do wild and I don't know. Is there ever a good year to do wild and crazy things? I mean, you're going to do what you're going to do, right. But  it's a great year to really figure out like what would serve me fantastically.

And to be putting that into place and trying to get the habit down. And that's pretty much from January 1st to March 15th. I don't really have a lot of bad things to say about that period. It's pretty functional. I am going to just, if you're not on my, if you're not on my email list, you should absolutely be on my email list because I break it down every week.

Right. And there's some pretty significant things that are happening in January. I'm going to go over them very briefly here, January 20th, we have the last. Pluto conjunction with a planet that's in Capricorn and it happens at 59 minutes 50 or like 29 degrees 59 minutes was like as far as the very last inch of Capricorn and Pluto has been in Capricorn transforming that area of life for everybody since 2008.

And that was like a lot of the banking crisis stuff that we had and the housing bubbles and like all of that the  Bitcoin the new way that we worked with money like that kind of thing was pluto and in capricorn what it looks like pluto and aquarius is going to be which he we had a little preview from like March to June of last year it looks like it's going to have a lot to do with AI and, and how AI is probably going to explode over the next 19 years.

That's the best guess that we have right now. And just typically like if I look at the 200 year rotations, which I've done there's a lot of tech advancements for whatever that meant in whatever period going all tech and cultural advancements going all the way back to like 50.  So  I can go, that.

That seems to be true. And so.  That's not a bad thing. It's not a scary thing. And if, and if March to June of last year, doesn't ring any bells. It's possible Aquarius isn't super active in your chart. But if March not, not March 8th, April March to June. But if you're like, what is Pluto in Aquarius? What transformation is that going to be for me?

These are the dates I want you to remember.  February 5th,  February 14th. February 17th, and February 22nd, and the reasons for that is because the first three of those, we have Mercury, then Mars, then Venus conjunct Pluto at that zero degrees. Okay. And  if, if that was significant for you, I promise you, you're going to notice.

And the last one, which was February 22nd is there's a Mars Venus conjunction in Aquarius at like six degrees. And so that area of life is going to be super, super obviously highlighted. The other thing I'm going to say is, as far as Aquarius previews go, I actually have a few other dates, March 30th.

I'm sorry, March 31st of 2020.  There was a Mars Saturn conjunction  at the zero degree of Aquarius point, and it was probably a disagreement or warlike stance in this area of life or someplace that you encounter strong resistance or a need to change. December 21st of 2020. I know Sam's going to remember this one.

It was a great conjunction. That we did a lot of work on. That was the Saturn and Jupiter conjunction. And that was at the zero degree point. And then there was a Mars Venus conjunction on March 6th of 2022. anD so if any of those dates, feel free to go back and write them all down. If any of those dates are like, Oh crap, something big happened then.

Yeah. Welcome to your Aquarius era. Cause yeah, I promise you it's going to be a ride. What

I was just realizing is like, that is exactly when I had the, cause I'd been writing. The regenerative business book, I'd been writing it for very inconsistently for, I don't know, seven months or something. And then in March of 2023, I was just like, I need this book out.

I need it out now. And then like spent all of my free time writing to get it out by. May 26.

So

I'm like, okay, February. What is coming with?  

Yeah. And I mean, that's your  

 

house or something. Yeah. Yeah. So it's, it's relevant  or

 

North node. It's something like that. It's your 10th house. I mean, there might be other stuff there too.

 

I'd have to look. But yeah, I know it's going to be relevant for you in that particular way.  And.  You have like 19 years of transformative growth that's coming and there's gonna be a lot of things that trigger it, but it's just that very narrow window of period period of time in February that it's going to get hit over and over so often that I promise you, if you have anything there, you're not even going to need to ask anybody.

 

You're gonna be like, well, that's obvious by the end of February. Right? And I'll tell you, like, that's if you have anything in Aquaria, if you have anything around 0 degrees of Aquarius.  Leo Scorpio,  and  Taurus.  Is that right? I feel like that's right.  Big signs? Hmm, ah, I don't know. I'm, I'm not looking at anything in my, but, yeah, for sure though, Aquarius and Leo, around zero to two degrees, I'd say you, you're probably gonna notice.

 

So that's the first part. And then, then we get, so that's January. Like, March is just kind of like,  And February is only really interesting to me because you're going to get such a good preview of all the Aquarius stuff which is,  I think, useful, since it's the beginning of a 18, 19 year thing, and if you look at your Capricorn house and think about how it's changed from 2008 until now, you'll get a, you'll get a taste of how big  and how I'm going to talk about how long Pluto transits are and like how much they can change things.

 

Mine was in my fourth house. I had two kids, got divorced, built my own house, built my own business in my house,  right? That's all fourth house topics.  

 

So it's Capricorn house stuff is, is what's happening.

 

That's what you're saying? It's what's wrapping up and we're moving into the Aquarius. Okay. So like I feel like

 

this is another caveat of like this is slightly more advanced astrology topics that we're just kind of like running through very casually.

 

I'm just realizing that I'm like some people don't even know what a house is.

 

That's true. That's true. But it'll just pay attention to what's new. Like what's new and exciting in February is going to be an indicator. It's going to be a trend for a longer period. How about that? Yeah, whatever seems to be very focused.

 

Also, I think people are just going to get a lot of New insights in January and February, which is another reason that I say it's, it's not easy. It's very productive, but it is it does have, like, my green light for it, like, until March 15th. So I'm going to switch to March 17th to April 28th, which is what I call the chaos zone.

 

And I don't have really anything nice to say about it. It's a lot of confusion and aggression. We have 2 eclipses and a mercury retrograde during that period. And a lot of very challenging aspects  pretty much the whole time. So for the business people out there, if I'm launching, it's not between March 17th and April 28th.

 

I'm a hundred percent not doing that. And your vacations. I, or maybe not. If

 

you want to like

 

your family,  I mean, I've done vacate. Like when I went to Alaska, it was during an eclipse. It was during an eclipse window. Right. And you can do that, but it, I mean, ultimately it depends on like where it's going to show up in your life.

 

I'm not saying that it's a bad time, but there's going to be a lot of chaos. Right. And so one of the things that I tell the people that I work with a lot is. There's no, there's no period. There's no point in time where you just need to stop living your life. Yeah. Right. There are points in time that you're probably going to need more help managing your mind, or that you're going to need to be more resilient and more adaptable.

 

And so March 17 to April 28, that's what that is right there's more external chaos, and there may be more internal chaos depending on where it is in your chart. And you're probably  going to have the opportunity to  be more resilient, and I don't think that's a bad thing.

 

Is there any chance that, like, for people who hear chaos and are like, good things actually come out of chaos for me, like, maybe that is a time

 

to, to leverage?

 

I'm not saying that unless I look at their chart.  Okay.  I'm gonna say, like,  There is no traditional astrologer that is ever going to say the period between March 25th and April 8th is a good time  to do something. You aren't going to find a single person that's, I, I would put money down on that if they're a traditional astrologer, they would not say that because that's between two eclipses and there's a Mercury retrograde in the house of the eclipses.

 

No, no,  no. Now there are people who like chaos magic.  Go with God. I'm not recommending it.  Okay, but that doesn't mean like, don't do your business, right? Like, I'm still going to be running my business. I'm still going to be seeing clients. I'm still going to be living my life. I'm not going into a hole, but I'm 100 percent planning  just like, like a hurricane plan, right?

 

Like, just I live in hurricane alley. For those of you who don't know  we plan  for a category 5 hurricane to hit and then we hope it doesn't  right. And  if I'm looking at the year,  that period is hurricane season.  I, I'm,  it doesn't look Maybe batch

 

content ahead of time.  

 

Well, see, but like, I don't even consider writing content difficult.

 

So for me, like, I'm not anticipating me not being able to write, because I know where it's going to hit in my chart. I know where the drama is likely to be. And this is where like working with an astrologer and just knowing the areas of life that are likely to be more challenging is useful because it's not in my work sectors, it's in my relationship sectors.

 

I don't have a relationship. I'm not super worried. Right. I'm like, what can't you? Oh my gosh.

 

I can't wait to hear the behind the scenes now that you've said that

 

publicly.  But that's not going to affect my work, right? Like, that's not a work thing. That's, that's some other form of chaos. So

 

how do people figure out what sector it's in?

 

It's what the house

 

that what's what's in Aries, Aries and Libra.  Okay. I have nothing in those houses. Yeah. Like I'm not like, do we want to let's cheat and like, we'll just give a little preview of what can happen if I have your chart. Most people really like it when I talk about other people's charts on podcasts.

 

Because they are like, Oh, I didn't know you could do that. So I'm just going to pull your chart up. I have

 

no, no planets in Aries or

 

Libra. Okay. But since I don't remember that, I'm not going to,  yeah,  I don't think, but  I think you're going to probably do a lot of publicity stuff. That's my guess. Okay.

 

And have chaos.

 

I have chaotic

 

publicity.  Okay, but I want you to think about that, right? Like, think about chaotic social media publicity. That could be something going viral. Yeah. Because chaos isn't inherently bad, but you can't plan for it. That's why when you were like, would you try to manifest something? No. But I would expect things to go probably viral or for you to unexpectedly get opportunities from benefactors.

 

So like somebody So

 

this is, this is, these are conversations we've had offline plenty of like I feel as though personally and I don't know about other people but I feel like when bad things happen collectively, like. I actually like personally do really well. Like I, I, I handle it well, like, like weird miracles and opportunities pop into my life.

 

So like when I hear chaos, I'm like, okay, things could actually be good for

 

me.  

 

Yes. Yeah, they could, but not planned things, right? And, and that's the difference. It's just like, that's why I say adaptable and resilient because yes, lots of opportunities. And, and eclipses aren't inherently bad. There's sudden new beginnings and sudden endings, right?

 

And that's not bad. It's just not when I'm trying to plan something that I want to go according to plan.  You don't play.  Yeah. Just have your hurricane plan. Yeah. But even that is like, which way I evacuate is based off of which way the storm is projected to go. Yeah. Yeah. Right. I still have to be adaptable.

 

So, so what about May?  May through June is freaking delightful. I love it.  Yeah. May is great. There are a bunch of really really lovely things that happen. I have it as a green period, May 1 to June 7th.  Especially if you have a lot of Gemini or Taurus placements. And

 

for the people in the back, what does a green

 

period mean?

 

Good things. I don't really have anything bad to say. So like

 

a green light, you're saying like green light, green, yellow, red. Yeah.

 

Yeah. But yeah, I'm basically green yellowing and red. This is my other green period, so January 1st of March 15th and May 1st of June 7th are my green lights. I like them a lot.

 

If you happen to have significant TAUs or Gemini placements. Lord, it's about to be good. You have Gemini. Amazing girl, what? Yours is about to be good. You just know

 

how much I hate Taurus. I don't hate Tauruses, I just like Taurus season is like the bane of my existence.

 

Yeah but there's just a lot of really lovely things happening in Taurus and Gemini, and even if you don't have anything in that area, it's still a nice period for most people.

 

Again, when I say that there are good periods, it very much depends, like, what's happening in your chart, blah, blah, blah.  I have  June 8th through July 31st as just sort of a yellow light. It looks like working hard more than anything else. Like, it looks like there's things that people are figuring out.

 

And, but not,  not hurricane season.  I don't dislike it. August 20, August 4th to August 28th, so Mercury Retrograde.

 

Mercury Retrogrades, for those of you who have not been working with me forever, is just a period that's better for reviewing. So like, review your copy, review your funnels, review your website. You know, it's not necessarily the best time to start something new. Back up your systems. You know, just like, very functional.

 

Yeah.

 

Let's scoot back to, you said June 8th through July 31st is this yellow period.  And you're saying that it's like a working hard period. Do you mean by that, like, things don't, like, they're just taking more work or it's just a good, it's a good, like,  what is the, face the

 

grindstone? Yeah, nose to the grindstone.

 

Yeah, I think it could be, it could go either way. It kind of depends on the person. I think it'll either be like, it'll either show up as people wanting to do work that's a little bit harder, like feeling like, oh, I can tackle this thing. Or Like something happens and they just have to figure it out. It could go either way.

 

But it's it's like a productive  forward kind of movement as opposed to netflix and chill  

 

I haven't heard any Netflix and chill periods so far this

 

year.  You're not going to hear any either.  I don't have any coming up. Not a rest year. Excellent. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I don't  know.  There's a lot of opportunities for  forward momentum, I would say.

 

And then there's some really good opportunities, you know, like how you when you, oh, that's a really,  nobody, but you and I are going to get this, but scrum,  right? Like where you're doing sprints, there's a lot of sprint periods.  For,

 

for those listening, Scrum, I feel like it's less popular now, but there, it had like a moment in the online business world where everyone was doing Scrum sprints.

 

I feel like there's another, another name for it, but it's this type of,  this type of project planning and project working that was based off of, usually like app software developers and how they created apps. So like you would work for two, two weeks hard on this one very specific project essentially to try and get the next like 2.

 

0 version of the app and the 2. 1 version of the app and the 2. 2 and like you'd keep on doing these and then it kind of caught on for for a hot second. I don't know, maybe a decade ago in the online business world where people would work in sprints and do like have this two week. This is the only focus for two weeks.

 

So you're, you're saying that's for the year or specifically this June, July period.  

 

I would say like often, like I, I kind of see this whole year as there's like little chunks that people are working on one thing and they go work on the next thing. And it's like, it seems very, very distinct to me, like, Oh, you're working on X project January and February, and then March and April, there's something else you're working on.

 

And then may and June and then June and July. And then August is it's like own little beast.  And that's that's very Mercury, like, almost all of August is Mercury retrograde. And so that, to me, feels like August is very much a reviewing what you've done kind of period, even more so than some of the others, because immediately in September, we go into eclipses again.

 

And so September 6, September 16th to October 16th, I have as a red zone, for a couple of reasons, and now we're getting to the part of  the part of the story.  So September 17th is the first eclipse in Pisces. That's a new cycle. That's where the eclipses will be in 2025. October 2nd, we have our final eclipse.

 

I think it's the last one in Libra. It's for sure the last one this year. And that'll be wrapping up the Libra Aries eclipse stories. And on October 4th,  Mars It's his retrograde shadow.  Mars is gonna. Here's the thing.  Mars is gonna be  in either  Cancer or Leo for like eight months.  So I mean those two signs and So it he first goes into cancer  I didn't write it down.

 

So I'm just gonna look real quick  first goes into cancer on September

 

4th,  and then he goes into Leo November 3rd  And then he goes back into Cancer and then back into Leo and he doesn't leave until June 17th of 2025.

 

What are, what's

 

the, what are the flavors of Mars and Cancer and Mars and Leo?

 

Mars and Cancer is like a warrior in full plate metal splashing around in the ocean trying to attack somebody.  

 

And that's how, and we're the warriors and that's how we feel.

 

Yep.  Great. Huh.  Yeah, it's not a fun time. It's not where we want Mars to be.

 

So we're

 

fighting for our lives, but it's, it's, it's almost, I, what, the picture that comes in my head is, like, I had in my dream, not so much lately actually, but I used to have this reoccurring feeling in dreams where  you're running and you can't move, like you're like, you're moving at super slow speed, almost like you're, you're trying to run through really dense water.

 

That's Mars and cancer, and he's going to be there for like, Six months total. That's ridiculous. anD it's not a bad, like, if, if you're hearing this, you're like, well, I have Marsian cancer and I blah, blah, blah. Great.  You're gonna love it.

 

You're gonna feel so comfortable. Maybe not love it, but like, you're gonna feel, this is gonna be familiar.

 

Yes. And for people who don't know, don't know Mars.  

 

Mars is action. Like, it's how you take action.

 

It's like your, your masculine drive often, like this.

 

Like the, the Yang part of the, yes. It was, and people,

 

 

 

there are political correctness things that I'm going to blow out of the water right now, but Mars is masculine energy feminine and feminine energy is Venus. And it's a polarity and every human has both. You have both in your chart, you have both in your makeup, right? Like it's, it's not that I'm saying this is female and this is male, it's literally just the masculine principle and the feminine principle.

 

And  Mars does not like to be in cancer. He's not a fan. Passive aggressive sometimes. Not because they're trying to be manipulative, but because being aggressive feels so uncomfortable that the only way sometimes that Mars in cancer will make a move forward is, is in  think about, okay, you know, crabs actually move side to side,  but they still move forward.

 

That's very much Mars in cancer.  Like it has trouble going directly forward because.  I love that. Yeah. And then why isn't Leo? Yeah, I was about to ask. Tell me. But you know the, the, the dude that was in Gladiator?  Yeah, there you go. Russell  Crowe? Is it

But yeah, that movie, like, where he's like all buff and like his whole life is killing things and it's like very,  very like, warry.  So does that feel good? Like,

 

because I know when righteousness feels good, like it might not like feel good to like be against it, but I'm like, it kind of sounds righteous to me like, but when you're feeling of righteousness, it

 

feels

 

good.

 

So, so full disclosure, my Mars is in Leo, and you've seen me get angry. That's what Mars in Leo is like.  And I do get very righteous when I'm angry. Like, if I'm angry, if I really am angry, I used, I, when I was a kid, I was a Christian and I wanted to be Michael's apprentice. Not, no joke. Michael is the right hand of God.

 

He's the sword of God. He's the justice of God. I was like, I want that job. How do I get that job?  And they're like, no, Robin, that's an angel thing. Well, but y'all said when I die, I could be an angel. Well, but not literally. And I'm like, well, then why did say it?  I thought that was a possibility.  So is this

 

a scenario where We're going to get angry at things, and it's going to be

 

productive.

 

So let's look at the timeline, shall we? So the elections are in November.  Okay, so Mars is I'm just gonna I'm like, I want to make sure I'm looking at the right time

 

lines. I feel like everyone's already

 

upset about  they're gonna get more upset. It's gonna it's not gonna get better.  So Mars goes into cancer September 4th  and November 3rd, right around election day.

 

Mars goes into Leo.  Wow. So, November

 

4th is usually Election Day, yeah? So it's like literally

 

before. Oh my gosh. So, thinking about that righteous anger, right? That's what's going on. You think like actual violence will

 

happen? Because you were like referencing Gladiator.  

 

I'm not comfortable making that kind of prediction without looking at other factors.

 

I will say  that  November 3rd is when Mars goes into Leo.  And he Stations retrograde December 6th, which is generally when, around the time the elections are actually finalized and called and everything, right?  And then he goes into,  he goes into cancer again January 6th.  So there's going to be like

 

some weird, like, recalling the ballot

 

thing, and  Yeah, I mean, that's what I will say, is I think there's going to be election shenanigans.

 

And I think they're already

 

I already like, I feel like they're already happening.  

 

I'm just saying, like, I, I don't see how we get away from it. It looks very contentious or right around the election period with the way that Mars is stationing and a few other things are happening.  Pluto goes back into Aquarius, November 19.

 

And

 

main stuff happening in post eclipses. The main stuff happening on October, November is this Mars stuff, or is there also other things happening?

 

It's mostly Mars. We also had so Mars. So Pluto goes back into Aquarius for the final time on November 19th,  and then it's full steam ahead and Aquarius.

 

Because he spends like 2 months. So he comes back out like. end of August, beginning of September, he goes into Capricorn. The other thing in the end of the year, October 16th to the end of the year, I have a yellow. I don't even have it as red, right? Like the,  but we do have a Mercury retrograde from November 25th to December 15th.

 

And that Mercury retrograde shadow happens right around election time. And Mars retrograde is in Leo. It starts in Leo on December 6th and ends in  Cancer on February 25th.  Yeah, I mean, the fact that we haven't, the other thing that I didn't mention about the eclipses in  March and April is that they go across the United States.

 

One side of the other full solar eclipse. Last time that happened,

 

Trump was elected.

 

tHere's a lot and I don't even care what people's politics are about Trump, whether you love him or you hate him, or you think he's a devil, or you think he's a savior. Like, I don't really care. Nobody can deny that it created massive upheaval in the United States with him being elected. There's like families torn apart, you know, blah, blah.

 

And that happened after the other great American eclipse.  Right. And so even if it's not him, it doesn't look between that and Mars, the elections don't look.

 

Oh, easy.  No. And does that have anything to do with your business? No idea. Don't know what your business is. Might be great for business if you're a button maker and you're making buttons that say go vote for this guy and go vote for that guy, it'd be great for your business, right? Like if you're a political commentary person and you, and you make a lot of money doing that, like I can think of some Instagram influencers that I follow who are full on.

 

It's mostly politics, right? Like I fully expect,

 

I feel like even just, Okay, yes, with buttons and all those things, but often for online businesses, a key part of having a really solid following of people who will fight for you and your business, like, is having very controversial stances, like, or not necessarily controversial, but like  Very like I I'm putting my flag in the ground on this thing, whatever that thing may be.

 

And it sounds like Mars and Leo can help with that. So you could actually use this time period to and use the emotion of anger. Anger fueled posts can actually be the most viral posts. You have the most shared posts. You have the most, the most the posts that actually solidify people's love for you because it's,  

 

go ahead.

 

Let's dial that back a tiny bit. I don't want to say anger. I want to say passion. Yeah. I

 

actually think anger is a very useful emotion to feel posts by, not like all of them. Of course not. But, but there is anger and passion. This Mars is this action oriented thing. People will take action when they tap into their anger.

 

There's no question about it. So it can, I want to just lean into the potential that this could be actually an amazing time period for you to actually make a name for yourself, to have people fall in love with you, to have your business do extremely well.  Sure.  

 

Sure.  I'm calling this in for all of us. Yes.

 

I mean, I would rather people not. I mean, I know that anger is useful and sometimes that's the only way that people can make a change. It's also because it's such a volatile period. Typically, when people are angry, that becomes an us versus them mentality that is.  dehumanizing  occasionally. And I've seen it a lot.

 

No, you

 

have to do it gracefully. No, but Simone Soul, a client of mine, a client of yours, she, like one of her like top 10 tips in having a, a successful business is to tap into your anger, anger and talk about things that you're angry about because you'll actually put passion behind it. It doesn't have to be this, like we're tearing down the world.

 

Of course, I'm all for that too, but  But you actually having a stance on something is extremely useful in online business.

 

So this is where y'all can tell if you know astrology that I have a lot of placements in Libra and Sam doesn't have any. Because I am very much. I also

 

have Mars essentially conjunct my rising sign.

 

Yes, she does.  Yeah. So, and I, my anger is very  I, I'm more like, you know, I am, I mean, I'm, I'm all about  total warfare. It's just that video game. I feel like it is, is what total warfare.  Oh, it is. It is a name of, it's also a war strategy, which you, we might disagree on if you were to look it up. Where was I going with this?

 

I was going with the, I think that there's so much. contention and volatility and hate that is a possibility that if you're that I am not going to get behind, I'm just not, I am not going to say lean into your anger. I'm going to say lean into your passion and what you're passionate about while also remaining aware of the fact that even if these people have directly opposing views, they're still humans.

 

Because there's the potential for  people to forget that. Yeah. And maybe not your people, or maybe you hope it's not your people, but.  I'm, I'm a historian first  and foremost. For those of you who don't know, that's what my undergraduate degree is in. That's what I taught for a really long time. That's what I freaking love.

 

The divisive nature  of some of these transits makes me just want to remind people  that those people that you disagree with, those people who are doing horrible things in your opinion, or even if you want to put it as an objective fact, right?  There's still stuff going on in their brain that got them there.

 

And they're still humans. And.  There's still a place for compassion  and  I used to use World War II as my favorite example because it was one of the periods that I focused on. Individual Germans  didn't hate the people that got put in the concentration camps, right? They got riled up because of the political situation and because they thought that somebody else would stop it.

 

And some of them got riled up because they just wanted to feel powerful. And there are all these, all these different reasons, right? But like Germans as a whole  weren't.  Horrible people,  right?  And  I don't know, I just, I guess

 

that doesn't mean don't fight back. It does mean that not paint  with huge broad strokes.  And it's going to be real easy to do that when Mars is pissed off in retrograde. It's going to be real easy  for people to just be like, no, you like, like, let's say you like Trump. You're the devil.  There we go. Or you're a Democrat and a woman.

 

Clearly you shouldn't have any rights. You're too stupid to think  for yourself. I should be able to do all that. And for, and we've seen some of that happening already. It's not like we haven't. And I want you to think back to the Venus and Leo retrograde and how some of the women's issues got pulled up and how many rights we've lost.

but sometimes, I mean, in going back to the original, or the beginning of this conversation, where

 

Social justice and moving it forward.

 

Yeah, and sometimes war and violence and things are necessary in order to fix some long standing, horrible things that happened during quote unquote peace. And have been happening for decades, if not hundreds of years.

A

hundred percent.  Here's the thing. I just figured out how I want to say it.  There are children on both sides. The children aren't the enemies.  And so,  extremism is what I'm afraid is going to happen. It's like, you know where people get very extremist and they And they do things that even if they were on the right side of history, it was the wrong thing to do.

You know what I mean? Like, I would, I would say that people would, I think most people would be like, Hey, America going up against the Nazis and ending Nazi occupation was a good thing.  And Americans,  like, bombing children in Hiroshima, maybe not a great thing.  Maybe there was a better way.  Right? But we didn't, we weren't trying.

We were just trying to brute force and end it. And I guess that's the thing I'm saying. It's like, There's still  no, I

know. I'm just it's an interesting week to talk about this because they're literally the I've been like anti federal government for a long time, but like I was pretty confident about the local government being okay up until like these last couple months where they're trying to put a toxic waste dump.

Next to our farm and move the toxic waste from an already toxic area to a new place right above a mother coral reef and  do it in the stupid possible way with the 99 percent of the community vocally against it and they're still moving forward with it. So like we're about to do like straight up civil disobedience against it.

So like, I'm like, oh, I'm kind of in this, this Morris stuff right now. And I'm like, very, like, I don't think it might be quote unquote extreme, but there's.  Some bullshit happening. Anyways,  we have only a few more minutes. Yeah. Did we get through everything? Because I can do a quick recap. We got through everything.

Okay, so we saw January, February is a green period. It's a great time for hustling and planting seeds all the way through March 15th.  And if you have any Aquarius placements, you're going to feel it. It sounds like a pot in a positive way, right? Yeah,

maybe. I think it'll be interesting. I'm not, I mean, I don't think anyway.

Yeah,  it'll be interesting. You said March is pretty meh. But, but March 25th through no, March 17th through April 28th is like this, maybe the worst time of the year of chaos, confusion, aggression, and.  So hold, hold tight for six weeks, six

weeks is a long time. So like,  I mean, I, this is like, if you go to some of the traditional astrologers, there's some parts of the end of the year that not everybody's going to agree with me on.

It's for me, I think it's the most  most opportunities to learn resilience and adaptability. And so I'm not saying it's not a good time to, I think you're just gonna have to figure things out. I think it's going to be a lot more of a. It's also a really, the other thing I'll say about it is there's a lot of  trying to move forward, not being able to, and there's a lot of having to review and a lot of weird fact checky things.

It's like, there's just a lot of confusion around that period. Because there's some Neptune conjunctions and I mean, there's a bunch of Neptune conjunctions, which.  It's just confusion. And then

May and June, you said are delightful. Greet period, do all the things, feel amazing. If you're Gemini and Taurus, it's going to be extra good for you guys.

And then June 8th through June 31st is a yellow. Not necessarily bad, but it's going to, like, it's, it's a, it's a working hard period. It'll be productive forward momentum, but it'll definitely, like, feel like work.  

Like that, but you remember, like, whenever you were writing your book, like, you were just nose down, right?

Like, you were like, I'm just doing this, but you didn't, you didn't feel bad. Yeah,

no, I, I like that feeling personally.  August 4th through 28th, this is Mercury Retrograde. It's just a review, reflection time, nothing else really happening. And then September 16th through October 6th. Oh, oh,

oh, what?  So, okay, so July 8th to July 34th, 31st, I have is like very working focused.

I would say August is challenging. Okay. I wouldn't, I mean, it's more challenging than  the months before. Yeah. And it's like leading up to the September, October eclipse zone right like August is when it starts getting challenging September, October, we just have a bunch of stuff that sort of adds on.  

So that's like the red period when we really are like,  yeah, I don't think it's as bad as the first eclipse like the eclipses, the eclipses at the beginning of the year I think are harder.

But it's also important to just remember that this is going to start being like where the election stuff kicks up real high. Yeah, it, there's going to be a lot of sudden information that gets changed and more aggressive stances that are going to be taken.  And then we also have a mercury retrograde and mercury shadow period like.

And so it's just more,  it's less the first half of the year is more effective. I would say it's going to be easier to be effective in the first part of the year. And then, and then you said that November, December, it's. Well, after October 16th through the end of the year, it's a yellow period. So like, not, not sweet, sweet green, but it is not red.

And it'll, it sounds like a very collective time with that Mars stuff and the election stuff. So stuff is going to be like  flying around.  

Yeah, I think it's going to be a little chaotic. I think it's going to, yeah, between the eclipses and the Mercury retrogrades and everything else. I do think that there's going to be some.

And then, overall, this is our last stable year for a while. Not to say it's going to be an easy year, but 2025, 26, 27 is going to be more instability. So this is a great year to really, oops, I just broke a pen,  to really  ground into  or lean into creating stability and using this year to create stability for and prepare and create resilience, build resilience for the future years.

Absolutely.  And I mean, I don't think that's a bad thing. I think that's a lot of what the hard work looks like is like, what are you, what is it that you want to stand for? Right. And that's part of what you were saying. And I'm, I'm not disagreeing that people need to take a stand. It's just, my gosh, there's so much,  there's so much anger and there, which I'm not saying the anger is bad either.

God knows, like, I have a temper. It's just.  Figure out what your, figure out where your lines in the sand are. Figure, you know how people say, I'm not going to die on that hill. Like, you know, you can plant your flag. I think this is the year people are going to figure out where their flags are going to get planted.

Mm, yeah. Yeah, you have to, you have to hold, hold back. You can't, you can't fight for every cause.  

All the causes are valid, not all of them, but plenty of causes are valid, but, but there's so many of them, right? Like there's so many injustices in the world. There really are. Yeah. And you can't effectively fight for all of them.

Yeah. Right. And so what are you going to fight for? Yeah. And where does your family come in on that? Right? Like, how is that like you specifically, one of the reasons that this is your cause is because it's literally on your back doorstep. Yeah. Right. Right.  And there's no way that any of us who don't live there can really and truly understand the impact and the fear that comes along with a toxic waste dump being put right next to our home.

Yeah, right. Yeah. And obviously that's going to be your cause. Obviously it should be. And I think that a lot of people, instead of looking globally, they are probably going to start looking more like, okay, but what about me and my rights? Like a lot of women are focused on other areas, but in some states like where I live, our rights have been ripped away from us.

Like I'm literally like when  women have only had credit cards for like five years longer than I've been alive.  And I'm looking at some of the rights that are being rolled back and I'm like,  might be something I'm interested in because I would like to have a personal autonomy.  When I hit 70, you know,  and I think that'll be some of the decisions people are making it's like what.

Political issues. Are you going to be voting around if you can't vote for all of them because the candidates are so dispersed, right? Like, what is your issue that you're, you know, your thing?  This isso good, Robin. Thank you so much for coming on. One key to growing your business: Sales calls that give value

I definitely fall into the camp of not having any regrets because all of the fuck ups and failures and totally embarrassing & cringe-worthy experiences I’ve gone through has gotten me to where I am now…

But I did do a mental exercise the other day & ended up thinking about “What do I regret not doing sooner in my business”

And there were a good 5 things that I identified as key elements that would’ve gotten me to a successful, scalable, profitable business in 2 or 3 years instead of 10.

I’ll take you through all of them in time but one I really want to highlight today is sales.

It’s one thing that I know limited my earning potential - being unwilling to do sales calls.

Probably beyond even that was not realizing that I should be doing sales calls in the first place.

A massive perspective shift I had relating to this was going from thinking of myself as a marketer, as a freelancer, to thinking of myself as an agency owner - a business owner.

I see this over and over again with service providers. They love their craft - they love being a healer or graphic designer or coach, and they totally identify with being that identity - that service provider identity.

And it IS important to be obsessed with your craft - to think the work you do in the world is insanely important and transformative & so interesting & fun!

But to not identify first and foremost as a business owner is causing you to have a bottleneck in your business.

And a part of being a business owner is focusing on marketing & sales.

And a part of growing a business as a service provider is doing sales calls.

So many people want to avoid this - to go straight to launching a course or program instead of getting good at sales.

But the way to most easily grow your business & to hit success quickly in your business is to fall in love with sales calls.

Is that a stretch??

At least to be willing to consistently prioritize doing sales calls.

To get comfortable doing sales calls.

Maybe you call them discovery calls or initial consultations… but they’re still ultimately sales calls.

So let’s start with a little affirmation to open you up with this:

I am open to prioritizing sales calls.

I am open to sales calls being fun.

I am open to sales calls being of deep service to my potential clients.

The truth is that sales calls are money generating activities.

One big action item I have the magical people do in the Alchemical Business Intensive is to cut the fat out of their business.

To cut out the shit that doesn’t matter.

We can talk about systems and automations and delegating all day long. I love all of those things so so much.

And hiring a team & delegating things off your plate is a sexy sexy thing. It makes you feel powerful & like a boss.

But.

If you’re hiring & delegating and building systems for things that don’t actually make a large impact on your business then you’re just wasting time. And you’re wasting other people’s time. And you’re paying people to waste time.

Yikes.

So first - you got to get clear on what actually matters & what actually moves business forward in your business.

And that is on you.

You may be tempted to do research and take more courses and (procrastinate) in the most innocent and seemingly productive ways…

But if you have generated sales in your business, then you know how to make more sales. Just do more of the shit that worked.

And if you haven’t generated sales in your business then you need to commit to experimenting and taking action and doing the hard & potentially triggering things.

Like reaching out to real humans to schedule some fucking sales calls!

When you’re below capacity in your business - as in you can take on more clients - then your first order of business is to focus your attention on marketing & sales. And of course delivering stellar work & results.

But cutting out the fat in your business looks like cutting out the things that are not bringing you more clients & bringing your clients more results.

If you’re a service provider then that is most likely getting people onto sales calls with you. At least if you’re charging enough & selling larger packages & higher end offers. Which is a great way to go & focus on if you are starting out or if you’re below 6-figures or even multiple-6-figures in annual revenue.

So what happens when you cut out the fat & you just start focusing on the needle moving, revenue-generating, results-creating activities?

As in you stop spending hours a day on Instagram & instead focus on relationship building?

Time & space opens up.

And you may be tempted to FILL that time & space.

As the laws of nature will encourage you to do.

But let’s not do that, okay?

On the most practical level you need to be reserving enough space in your calendar to serve the number of clients you want to serve.

What I mean by that is if you have 5 clients right now & you want 10 clients. You really do need to reserve space in your calendar for those 5 additional clients.

Or else you’ll be on this teeter-totter see-saw of marketing versus fulfilling.

Filling up time with marketing & then getting a boat load of clients, and then all of your time is filled with delivering client results & you neglect your marketing efforts & then you don’t have a pipeline of clients gearing up to work with you so you have to then focus on marketing…

And back and forth of stressful playing catch up.

When you really just needed to be more potent with your time. To cut the fat. To proooobably raise your prices…

(But that’s a topic for another day)

So let’s go back to sales calls. The one thing I “regret” not committing to earlier on in my business.

Sales calls are all about your relationship with your work & your relationship with your potential clients.

RELATIONSHIPS are a key component in building an In Flow Business & when you don’t double down on relationships then you will feel icky in your business, in your marketing & with your money.

Sales calls are you having a conversation with someone who is interested in working with you. They want what you have to offer & they want the transformation you are an expert in giving.

Sales calls are only icky if you don’t believe in what you’re selling - so there’s some mindset homework for you right there.

Sales calls are icky when you aren’t talking to the right people - you’re selling an eskimo a fan, instead of selling an eskimo an insulated jacket.

Sales calls are icky when you feel like you’re TAKING something away from someone & you believe that your potential clients' money is more valuable to them than the transformation you provide. That you are causing harm to them by taking their money.

But you are a heart-centered intuitive magical person.

You are doing incredible, life-altering work in the world.

You would not be like a used car salesman that is pushy & is lying about the car's features or mileage.

You have an offer that you’re selling, a service that you’re selling, and honestly… it is not your decision to decide whether or not your potential clients decide to pay you.

Sure, you can choose not to work with someone because you get red flags on your end… but you making a clean offer & then waiting for their response is not fucking up to you.

Your responsibility is to instead get reaaalllllyyyy clear on the value of your offer & you need to get reaaalllllyyyy clear on who it is perfect for.

You have a responsibility to demonstrate the potential future reality for your potential client if they decide to work with you.

Okay?

SO let’s get into some Sales Call best practices.

In an ideal world your prospect knows of you already. But it’s not required.

Ideally they were referred to you.

Ideally they are already a fan of your work & they read your articles & emails & listen to your podcast.

They already know, like, and trust you.

If that’s the case - sales calls are very easy.

You’re just quickly connecting to be clear about the nuts and bolts and to feel each other out in a 1-1 setting.

A step away from that ideal scenario - you gotta think about the level of awareness your prospect has:

* Unaware. These are prospects who don't realize they have a problem. They simply don't know a better way exists. If you have a new product that addresses a major drawback of previous solutions, most of your prospects may be at this level.

* Problem Aware. Problem aware prospects know they have a problem, and have some idea of what that problem is, but they may not completely understand it. They haven't dealt with this problem before. They're totally unfamiliar with possible solutions.

* Solution Aware. Solution aware prospects know about solutions like yours, but don't know your specific product or service. If your company isn't well known in their industry, they may not have heard of you.

* Product Aware. These prospects know your product, but haven't bought it. They're familiar with what other people in your industry are offering. They're just not sure if your solution is best for them.

* Most Aware. These are your best customers – your multi-buyers. They're brand loyal. They're enthusiastic about you. They read your emails & watch your IG Stories & all the things.

I gotta say - don’t go after Unaware people. It’s an uphill battle.

The easiest sales calls will be the ones with the Most Aware, Product Aware, and sometimes Solution Aware level people.

So let’s look at some stats…

92% of buyers find a meeting valuable if you provide industry/market insights and give them a new perspective and help them better understand their needs. 92%!

This is in stark contrast to the fact that only 20% of people value conversations with salespeople. Or, put another way, 80% of people find a conversation with a salesperson to be useless.

So here’s your big differentiator. Give the people what they want.

Instead of just talking about pain points and desires & painting a picture of their future… (which is standard sales call flow) … Give value - give information - change their perspective.

Go out there & try this out for yourself - prepare for a call by doing some research. & you’re the expert - you’re the thought leader - so ask yourself - what big perspective shift can I give my potential client?

This is how you up your sales call closing rate.

This is how you deeply serve your potential clients whether or not they buy from you.

This is how to feel really good about doing sales calls.

Excited to do these calls!

Because you’ll see the transformation you’re able to give people before they even hire you.

The sales call is valuable in and of itself.

So…

And it’s a big one.

So I’ll leave you with a final bit.

So much of this is mindset. If you believe your offers or services are the shit & your people would be crazy not to buy from you then selling becomes real easy.

And you can create any belief you want.

Creating new beliefs is a skill you can develop.

Building relationships is a key part of doing business - with yourself, with money, and with your clients + potential clients.

This is a major part of the framework I teach in the Alchemical Business Intensive.

When you actively build relationships then you build a larger pool of people who are already a YES before they even get on a call with you.

Why is business an excellent medium for spiritual growth? (4:00)

Marketing is all about relationship dynamics. It’s always human to human — even if it’s B2B or B2C. Part of being a spiritual business owner means deprogramming the idea that your work is tied in with your worth — especially if you own a business and care deeply about what you put into the world. Being a business owner means working on your relationship with other humans and with yourself.

 

Why magical people often have a block around being paid to do what they love. (18:20)

A lot of us think we should be paid the most for things that suck, that we don’t enjoy doing. But we should actually be paid the most for things we do in our sphere of genius — the things that feel easy and come naturally to us. And we should be spending 90% of our work time in that sphere of genius. But to get there, you have to let go.

Why you need a deeper mission or “big why” in your business. (31:00)

Maybe you started your business because you hate working for someone, you can’t sit in an office, or you wanted to have access to a lot of money. That’s all great! But if you don’t create a bigger “why” to your business, you might hit a level of sustainability where you’re happy with your income, but suddenly the money doesn’t really matter. And you have to find a new fuel for your business… especially when things get hard. Having a bigger mission is important to prevent you from falling into the slump.

The most important lessons Alexandra and Sabrina learned about creating an online business dream team. (8:55)

Alexandra has always been a creative, and she knew she needed someone to take care of the details and corral her big ideas. She found Sabrina through a mutual friend and they’ve been professional partners for the past 4 years.

Two years in, they almost ended their partnership due to hard lessons about learning how much is too much to put on your plate & the best way to collaborate. It’s been a transformative journey in understanding the best ways to communicate with your team and create stronger, better relationships.

 

What the average day in Alexandra’s business looks like. (28:20)

Alexandra and Sabrina have grown through different phases and titles together. When the roles of assistance, Queen of Operations, Online Business Manager don’t seem to resonate for Sabrina to embody anymore… they have leveled-up together into new roles. It’s all about tuning into what feels right and being willing to make adjustments and changes to the dynamic.

How can business owners keep their business partners and team members happy? (37:35)

Allow your team to work and be in their own strengths. Create boundaries that support one another in being themselves. By learning what people are great at and what pulls each other out of their zone of genius, you can find the flow of what is best for the team and for the business.

Alexandra also recommends using The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks so you can determine where your area of genius is and figure out what’s best for you to do in the business.
