I’m your host Corey Little, a nutritionist and weight loss specialist with 2 degrees, 3 certifications, and 20 years of experience. I've been a champion bodybuilder with 3% body-fat and I’ve also pigged out at all-you-can-eat buffets and have a deep love of food and enjoying life like crazy! So, I’m not some Nutrition Robot or extremist. I’m a real person just like you who loves the good things in life - friends, family, and all the delicious food that comes with it. So, make no mistake - this podcast is NOT about how to get six-pack abs or how to drop as much weight as possible in 8 weeks. Have you ever wanted a reset or fresh start? I don’t know anyone who hasn’t!  It’s part of being human. And it’s especially true when it comes to losing weight and dieting. 


We mess up. We get really disappointed in ourselves. Our body feels like crap. Our brain is beating us up. And all we want is to just hit some magical reset button. We want a cleanse or a detox. We want to “flush our system.”


We really want a fresh start! Wipe the slate clean and feel good about ourselves. That’s what we want. 


But is this possible?  Does it actually work?  Does a “reset” even exist? 


We’ll cover all that today, plus I’ll explain a solution that’s much better than a reset or detox.

Do Baby Steps Help You Lose Weight?

Can you lose weight doing baby steps? 

Are small steps the best way to lose weight?

One of The Biggest Misconceptions About Losing Weight

The past few weeks, I've had clients ask the following questions and I've coached them through all sorts of things like . . . 

 

“Anytime I start to make food changes, part of me just feels rebellious. Why am I like this? How can I lose weight if I'm like this?”

 

“I know strength training is important, but I just can't seem to get myself to do it. I really prefer cardio. What should I do? What do you recommend?”

 

“Since I stopped weighing myself every single day, I don't want to weigh myself at all. I have so much less stress now. Is it okay to not weigh at all?”

 

“I was doing SO good and then I went on a little vacation with my family over the weekend. And now I feel like I just can't get back to it.”

Knowing what to do is just one small piece of the puzzle. Losing weight is actually about so much more.  


Losing weight is really about finally SEEING and changing our thought patterns, beliefs, and daily habits that have probably been ingrained for 20, 30, sometimes even 40 years! 


And that doesn't magically happen just because you suddenly know WHAT you should do.
