Welcome to Ready for Love, the podcast for women who are ready to stop orbiting everyone else’s needs, expectations, and opinions and become the center of their own lives.
I created this show to to have counter-culture conversations on love, power and modern womanhood. Each episode turns your attention inward, toward the beliefs, patterns, choices, and self-betrayals shaping the life you have now, because when you change, everything in your life changes, too. And you can finally start creating the life you actually want.
Being ready for love reaches far beyond finding a romantic partner. It means becoming grounded enough to trust yourself, honest enough to face your own bullshit, and self-led enough to decide what belongs in your life. That includes the people you love, the work you pursue, the standards you hold, the pleasure you allow, and the future you are willing to create.
I spent 15 years as a clinical psychotherapist before becoming the paradigm-shifting, script-flipping life disrupter you hear today. I’m part woo, part neuroscience, and entirely uninterested in recycled advice about fixing yourself, becoming more palatable, or performing your way into someone else’s approval.
On Ready for Love, we challenge the ideas women have been handed about relationships, ambition, confidence, aging, anxiety, power, pleasure, success, and what it means to be a “good” woman. Some of those ideas may already feel uncomfortable. Good. Discomfort is often what happens when an old belief realizes it is about to lose its job.
This is your invitation to become self, centered: more self-trusting, self-aware, self-assured, and fully in possession of your own life. You are not here to shrink, settle, or spend another decade proving how much you can tolerate. You are here to become the woman who gets what she wants without abandoning herself along the way.
New episodes drop every Friday on all podcast platforms and YouTube.
Follow the show and leave a five-star review. Unless you hated it, in which case your mother was right: some thoughts are best kept to yourself.

#86: From Walls Up to Wide Open: Meryl’s Reset on Love & Life
vendredi 17 octobre 2025 • Durée 24:15
If you’ve ever rejected a man because his name annoyed you… this episode is for you.
Hilary sits down with award-winning interior designer and unapologetic former love-skeptic Meryl Stern, who admits she once dismissed perfectly good men for crimes like “bad vibes” and “unfortunate first names.” (Her words.) But beneath all that discernment? A woman hiding behind a beautifully curated emotional wall.
Inside Ready for Love, Meryl didn’t just “work on herself” — she resigned from decades-old childhood roles, stopped earning love by overgiving, and rewired her identity from martyring do-it-all to woman who actually receives. Now, she runs a luxury design firm with her daughter, just completed a 12,000 sq ft project featured in Architectural Digest, and treats dating the same way she treats client selection: You don’t pick me. I pick YOU.
She’s single, self-possessed, and fully uninterested in settling, which, around here, counts as a success story.
Episode Highlights:
When “I’m just independent” is actually code for I don’t trust myself to choose well
Why nitpicking men is just fear in fancy clothes
The homework assignment that broke her identity wide open
How healing self-worth bleeds into business, leadership, and money
Dating rule #1: You don’t get picked—you pick
Episode Breakdown:

05:40 How journaling cracked her open
08:10 The resignation letter that rewired her self-image

#85: The Worst Dating Advice for Women...And Yes, I’m Mad About It!
Épisode 86
vendredi 10 octobre 2025 • Durée 10:15
Ever seen those videos promising to “make him obsessed with you in 5 texts” or “7 tricks to make a man worship you like a queen”? Yeah… Hilary’s not having it.
This week, she’s calling BS on the toxic, clickbait dating advice flooding YouTube. From “dark psychology” tactics to straight-up patriarchal conditioning, this advice is designed to manipulate women, keep them second-guessing themselves, and—let’s be honest—get them to buy something.
Hilary breaks down four reasons why these tactics are not just wrong but harmful—and why they’ll never lead to real love. Instead, she gives you the only dating advice you’ll ever need: trust yourself. When you stop twisting yourself into a pretzel to please men, you stop attracting the wrong ones and start naturally attracting the right one.
If you’re tired of playing games and ready to finally show up as the woman you actually are (and be loved for it), this episode is your wake-up call.
Episode Highlights:
Why “clickbait” dating advice is built on manipulation, not empowerment
The four major problems with toxic, prescriptive dating tactics
How inauthenticity sabotages real connection (and yourself in the process)
Why advice centered on him keeps women stuck in patriarchal conditioning
The simple, powerful truth: trusting yourself is the only dating advice you’ll ever need

01:39 Dark Psychology Tactics in Dating Advice
03:05 How Manipulation Backfires in Relationships

#76: Anxious Or Avoidant? Why Attachment Theory Is Keeping You Single
Épisode 77
vendredi 8 août 2025 • Durée 11:39
Everyone’s suddenly an expert on attachment styles. Anxious, avoidant, disorganized—it’s all over your feed, and maybe even your therapist’s office. But here’s the truth: if you’re trying to use attachment theory to decode every date and relationship, it’s keeping you stuck.
In this episode, Hilary is breaking down why obsessing over your (and his) attachment style is doing more harm than good, and what actually matters when you’re looking for real love.
If you’re a smart, self-aware woman who’s done the work but still isn’t seeing results in your love life, this might be why. Because knowing better doesn’t automatically mean doing better. And the answer isn’t more information—it’s radical self-trust, embodied confidence, and knowing how to assess how a relationship feels instead of overthinking why someone acts the way they do.
Episode Highlights:
Why therapy, books, and expert advice often lead to “knowing better but not doing better”
The trap of over-intellectualizing your love life
What to look for in a relationship that actually matters
How long-term love evolves, and why labels won’t help you grow it
Episode Breakdown:
00:00 Why Attachment Styles Are Keeping You Single
02:21 Information Doesn’t Equal Transformation
04:46 The Problem with Overthinking and Intellectualizing Love

08:02 What a Healthy Relationship Actually Looks Like
09:16 Stop Fixating on Him, Focus on You
If you're ready to stop psychoanalyzing every text and start showing up as the woman who knows what she wants and how to get it—this episode is for you.

You’ve got the career, the confidence, the killer heels… so why are all the men you're meeting either emotionally unavailable, totally underwhelming, or gone after two dates?
Here’s the hard truth: It’s not about them. It’s about you.

Episode Highlights:
The subconscious beliefs sabotaging your love life (yep, even if you’re “putting yourself out there”)
Why men aren’t intimidated by your success, they’re turned off by your walls

10:08 You Must Become the Woman Who Can Receive Love

12:26 Stop Searching. Start Showing Up Differently
There’s no underground speakeasy of good men you haven’t been invited to. They’re all around, you just can’t see them until you become the woman who’s ready to meet them.
Door #3 is waiting. But first, you’ve got to stop playing defense and start playing real.

#74: Why You Attract Emotionally Unavailable Men
Épisode 75
vendredi 25 juillet 2025 • Durée 11:57
Ever feel like you're on date #200, with the same guy?
In this episode, Hilary breaks down emotional unavailability for what it actually is: a lack of real intimacy. If you're attracting men who can't go deep, there's a reason. And it may have more to do with you than you think.
For high-functioning women especially, this is a sneaky blind spot. You might be warm, flirty, and fun—but still totally guarded. You might talk about your emotions, but not feel them in real time. And that performative intimacy? It’s what keeps real connection out of reach.
Episode Highlights:
Why emotional unavailability isn’t just a “man” problem
The two biggest reasons people avoid true intimacy
The subtle difference between being expressive and actually being emotionally available
How to finally break the pattern by turning inward
Episode Breakdown:

vendredi 18 juillet 2025 • Durée 11:33
You saw the red flags. You felt the gut punch. And still, you stayed.
If you’ve ever looked back on a relationship and thought, “How did I miss that?”, this episode is for you.

The chemistry was strong. The checklist looked good. And he did have potential. So you minimized, rationalized, and convinced yourself it wasn’t that bad… until it was.
Episode Highlights:
What happens when logic wins out over emotion (and why that’s not always a good thing)
The quiet ways high-functioning women betray themselves in love
How “I see the good in people” becomes a self-sabotaging mantra

#71: Why Strong Smart Women Accept Crumbs
Épisode 72
vendredi 4 juillet 2025 • Durée 09:07
They run companies, manage households, juggle a million responsibilities—and still find themselves accepting the bare minimum in love. Why?

From doing all the emotional labor to accepting the bare minimum in return, Hilary spells out what “crumbs” really look like, and why so many women accept them without even realizing it.
The truth? Starving women eat crumbs. If you’ve spent a lifetime feeling emotionally underfed, even the smallest scrap of affection can feel like a meal. But that won’t get you the love you want, and it’s not your fault. The fix? Stop looking outward, and start filling yourself up from within.
If you’re ready to quit the chase and start receiving real love, this episode is your wake-up call.
Episode Highlights:
