For the last episode of the 2024 season on the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don draft the top 25 for 2025. Grey and I take turns drafting through 25 and then also discuss who else belongs in the discussion. We talk about where some of the tier breaks might be and where we have different thoughts, at least for now.

On this week’s episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don are here to recap the 2024 season. Before we get into that, we have to talk about CJ Abrams being sent down and Ohtani going 50/50 (and more). We talk about how Grey is doing in the expert leagues and lessons learned from the 2024 season. 

Then, it’s on to the awards for 2024. We hand out the AL and NL Rookie of the Year. Grey thinks there are clear winners for Breakout, Bounceback, and Best Fantasy Value. Do you agree with him? We wrap up the show with the Biggest Bust and we talk about some top 50 players we don’t expect to be back in there for 2025.

On this week’s Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don talk about some of the happenings after the MLB All-Star Game. We start with some of the promotions with Jacob Wilson’s bad injury luck, Nacho(ooooo) Alvarez Jr., and Tyler Phillips coming off a strong start.

We're getting a top catcher prospect call up to discuss, and we go over a couple of young pitchers to determine their level of breakout we could be looking at. Grey and B_Don are here to go over some of them and discuss whether you should be panicking or just staying the course. We start the show by talking about the lack of offensive production in general. Then, we move on to specific players such as: Kyle Tucker, Mookie Betts, Marcus Semien, Bo Bichette, Zack Wheeler, Charlie Morton, and others. We wrap up the show with some waiver wire targets for saves and otherwise. 

On this week’s Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, B_Don asks Grey about his Top 100 rankings for the 2024 2nd half. Not much argument about the top players, but some new faces to the top of the rankings from pre-season in guys like CJ Abrams, Elly De La Cruz, Tarik Skubal, and Jarren Duran. Grey has a trio of starting pitchers in the top 20 and none of them was Paul Skenes. 

If you’ve owned Ozzie Albies, Julio Rodriguez, Matt Olson, or any other early season strugglers, see what Grey thinks they might be worth if you can’t look at them on your team any longer or what they might give you in the 2nd half. William Contreras continues to be the Rodney Dangerfield of catchers as he still can’t get any respect as the #1 or even the #2 catcher in the rankings. 


Wyatt Langford, James Wood, and Ceddanne Rafaela have finished the 1st half strong and Grey has each of these young stars in the ranks. Where do Grey’s less liked players fall? Did he actually rank Lane Thomas? No matter what the ranks say, go get whatever your team needs to finish the season strong and take that ‘ship.

We move over to the hitting side and discuss one of the top player rater guys in Owen Miller, yep, Owen Miller. Speaking of former top player rater guys, is it time for B_Don to eat some crow on Lindor or is Grey staying away still? Josh Bell is performing at a level beyond what we've seen from him before and Christian Yelich may be doing the opposite. We wrap up with some RazzSlam FAAB and general pickup talk where we discuss our RazzSlam strategy and some of our targets this week. 

Grey and B_Don are here to go over some spring training news as we approach Opening Day 2022. Despite the start of the baseball season, Grey is feeling a bit down as he has zero shares of the great Julio Rodriguez. We talk about Grey and Rudy's projections for Cubs outfielder, Seiya Suzuki, who can do wrong. 

We move on to some of the recent trades with Sean Manaea moving to the Padres and Craig Kimbrel swapping teams with A.J. Pollock. We then talk about some of the spring training injuries and what it might mean for those team's depth charts. 

Prospects are getting longer looks and we talk about some of the young middle infielders that could be early season pickups with C.J. Abrams, Geraldo Perdomo, Bryson Stott, and Diego Castillo. We wrap up the show with some bullpen changes and pickups depending on the depth of your league. 

Grey and B_Don are back to finish out the rankings podcasts with starting pitchers part 2. We talk about ADP variances and where we would potentially take some of these arms (or not draft at all) when comparing rankings and ADP. We discuss how each of the pitchers may help your team and what pitchers may fit a specific build or league. Throughout the pod, B_Don gives you some guys that he beliefs their performance can be tied to velocity, and we should monitor spring training and early season velocities on.

Grey and B_Don are here to finally finish up the outfielders. How many guys can Grey compare to Michael Brantley? Is that a good thing? If it is a good thing, why are they all in the 3rd OF podcast? And then we actually talk about Michael Brantley.

Grey Albright and B_Don are back to go over the 2nd set of outfielders for 2022. We pick up where we left off at #34 with Jarred Kelenic. We talk about the rest of Kelenic's tier at outfield and where we might be looking to grab outfielders in our leagues. We discuss some of the draft values and ADPs that don't make sense to us as we look through the ranks. We discuss how ranks and tiers should be used as you work through your roto drafts as needs may drive your draft picks, as much as the players themselves. There are a number of young outfielders that we think are worthy of taking a shot on draft's progress, unlike CBA talks. 

Grey and B_Don are back to go over the outfielders for 2022. We start the show with an outfielder that we both missed on last year, but proved us wrong and now we're believers. After mocking Geoff (formerly Ralph) about Tyler O'Neill last year, B_Don is happy to be on the train this year though. We are on opposite sides of a couple OFs in Cedric Mullins and Jesse Winker. Listen up and figure out, which of us is supporting these outfielders. Later in the show, there is a player going in the top 60 overall that Grey wants no part of at his current ADP. Then, B_Don is in on an outfielder with absolutely 0 rationale from the 2021 season to back it up. Before we head out, Grey feels like he's taking crazy pills when he's looking at other's Buxton projections. While we had planned on reaching 50 outfielders in this pod, surprise, we don't get there. 

Grey is joined by Donkey Teeth and comedian Billy Hurley for a very special all-star break show. The guys count down the top five wacky baseball news stories from the first half of the 2024 MLB season. The stories include Angel Hernandez's abrupt retirement, the Athletics relocation to Sacramento, see-through uniforms, the Grimace Effect, and more!

Grey Albright and B_Don are back to review the the barren wasteland that is 3B rankings. We start with the handful of 3B you may actually want to roster before getting in the globule that is the rest of 3B. We question some of the veteran options at the position in Nolan Arenado, Justin Turner, and Anthony Rendon. Maybe, if we're lucky, a changing of the guard is coming for the position, because it can't get much worse. 

Grey Albright and B_Don are back to talk about the shortstop rankings for 2022. It may be the deepest position in fantasy  baseball, there are still some questions hanging around even the top SS. Trevor Story is a free agent still and we discuss some of the possible options along with what we might expect from him moving forward. We talk about Xander Bogaerts 2nd half and Rudy's lowered projections. B_Don beats up on Corey Seager and Francisco Lindor while giving you some names to consider instead of these big names SS.

Grey and B_Don are back to review the 2B rankings for 2022. We talk about Grey's and Rudy's projections for the position and where there are some discrepancies. We talk about how to handle young players at the position like Jonathan India and Jazz Chisholm verses aging vets like Javier Baez or Jose Altuve. It's not a deep position and we'll talk about where we want to grab a 2B along with the categories that we're targeting with certain players.  

B_Don is joined by fellow Razzballer Steve Paulo (@StevePaulo) and Darik Buchar (@DBuchar) from the NFC to talk about the upcoming RazzSlam contest. Steve is our resident RazzSlam writer for the season and Darik is one of our primary contacts, and the two of them are here to go over the details and our draft strategies for the RazzSlam and the Cutline contest in general. We discuss how to handle some of the transitions from roto to the Cutline points set up and how to handle steals, starters vs closers, and other tricky areas. Darik walks us through the offerings from the NFBC this year. Before I let my guests go, I ask them about some of the big free agent signings of the off-season.

Grey Albright and B_Don are back to go over 1B rankings for 2022. For the first two guys, Vlad and Freddie Freeman, see the top 20 podcast. Then, we walk through the 1B tiers and determine where we might be investing at 1B in our drafts to try and find the best values for the position. See how low B_Don is on Votto and what 1B he'd be taking over the veteran 1B.

We also look at Rudy's first run of his projections to see how they compare with Grey. The 1B you take may be more about your team build than ADP or one player outproducing another by a large margin. Free Agency didn't only start in the majors. The Razzball podcast is going through its own transition as Grey has called B_Don in from the 'pen to take over co-hosting duties. In between the many times Grey interrupts a transition to tell me to transition, we talk about some of the big, pre-lockout signings. 

The Tigers brought in two players that the masses are split on with Eduardo Rodriguez and Javier Baez. Then, it's on to a couple of upside pitchers in Kevin Gausman to the Blue Jays and Noah Syndergaard to the Angles as we discuss whether we like their current draft cost. 

Somebody in the Rangers front office just got a Brewster's Millions type of deal and they HAD to spend $500 million this offseason. But really, the Rangers are moving ahead of schedule and retooled their middle infield with Marcus Semien and Corey Seager. Then, made a couple of other signings by bringing in Jon Gray and Kole Calhoun. Find out which of the 4 new Rangers that Grey and I are looking at drafting. 

We wrap up the show by talking about the rest of the big-ish signings. We look at the moves made by the Mets, Rays, Mariners, Cubs, Giants, and Cardinals. From Starling Marte to Robbie Ray to Marcus Stroman. During the show, we also come up with some t-shirt ideas for our buddies over at Rotowear.

Dear readers, listeners, and friends this is my final post on Razzball. After years of working a variety of jobs here, I have taken a full-time role with Baseball America. So this is an emotional podcast for me and not just because we discuss the CBA! I want to thank everyone for their support over the years. You know we had to do it em! We're wrapping up the year in classic Razzball fashion with our annual end of year draft for next year. Will I take Michael Conforto? Is Tyler O'Neill in the mix? Will I guilt Grey into drafting a pitcher? All this and more on this year's edition of the Top 25 Players For 2022 Fantasy Baseball. It's like January Grey but with less Crazy Uncle vibes.

It's coming to an end boys and girls. Don't be sad that it's over, just be happy that it happened. Seriously, we had a full season of baseball this year. That's reason enough to celebrate in my book. Unfortunately it led to some STRONG taeks early on in the season. One such strong taek was the demise of confirmed alien Juan Soto. Grey and yours truly, take a moment to dig in on Goato's second half, and his NL MVP chances. We talk some Shane Baz, a little Wander Franco, Robbie Ray, Hans Crouse, and Marcus Semien's record setting 2021. It's a hell of a show, we even banter less in the open!

Vlad vs. Ohtani - is there a better way to start off this week's show? Probably but we discuss it anyway. After that we slide into Shane Baz and Ryan Vilade before talking September Stars Eddie Rosario and Wily Peralta. Then we touch on all sides of Jorge Polanco. His lovefest with Rudy's WAR Room and his value this year and historically. We round it out with some 2022 discussions around Logan Gilbert, Shane McClanahan, Lindor, Javy Baez, and Jo Adell. Mr. Albright and yours truly debate which should go higher and where you're comfortable valuing each going into 2022.
