It's SUMMER SLAAAAAAAM (We hope you read that in Vince's voice). This is the show that made Justin fall in love with wrestling...and it's not just because of the romantic wedding at the end either! Mr. Perfect vs. Bret Hart for the IC Title was pure magic. Oh and guess what? Hulk Hogan wins the main event. Shocker. 

"THEY SHOULDA CANCELED IT!" yelled Michelle, several times in this episode. This episode was snakebitten (and not by Damien, ha!) from the beginning. The show was almost entertaining with how wrong every thing seemed to go... and the solutions WCW came up with at the time were a bit questionable. Oh, and with alllll the cluster f*ckery going on... we see Oz again. Woof. 

Oh boy. Justin and Michelle cover WCW SuperBrawl 1991, which includes one of the most "WTF" moments in wrestling history. Poor Kevin Nash. How his career took off after this, is beyond us. Not only did we get to see the Great and Powerful Oz (but he's not Oz? But he is?), but we also see a stretcher match, in which the stretcher isn't used in the match at all. Thank goodness we get the debut of SCOTT HALL to redeem this show for us! Man. This was a weird one. Enjoy!

Coming off of last weekend's WrestleMania 41, Justin & Michelle cannot get the "fein fein fein" off of their brains (unfortunately). They are, however, pleased to announce that the ending of this show was significantly better than the WrestleMania 41 ending! Along with that positive note, Bobby Heenan has finally joined commentary. In addition, we finally get the man that completes the Undertaker picture...Paul Bearer. This was a pretty controversial show, which caused a change of venue and... oh yeah! Hogan is still a heel. 

It's WAR GAMES!! Dusty Rhodes is back in WCW, but on commentary! He's a funny guy with great insight, once you get used to his voice and can understand him. We also get our first women's match in YEARS...well, a couple months in our show's timeline. Justin squeezes in some Rick Knox jokes. Lastly, we see our first major botch since beginning RassleRecap. We are glad that Flyin' Bryan was okay! Who the hell built that cage?!?!?

1991 is starting off with a bang! The best show of the year, The Royal Rumble, is always a favorite with Justin and Michelle. However, this was kind of a weird show! Especially because Justin won't stop doing his cringey "neckbeard" voice. Gross. We DO get probably the best Royal Rumble entrance and exit (within about 5 seconds of each other) of all time in this show...thank you Bushwhacker Luke. Also, a mega heel wins the Rumble... we just didn't know it at the time. 

Starrcade is typically a fan favorite (especially with Justin and Michelle). This year is a bit of an exception. It's a worldwide tag tournament, with some random non-tournament tag matches thrown in, a SHOCKING (ha), yet terrible reveal of the Black Scorpion and, according to Justin, shiny oatmeal?!

Oh man, we've made it! It's THAT time! The Gobbledy Gooker makes his first appearance on this special Thanksgiving show! That's not the only someone that makes their first appearance, but the Gobbledy Gooker isn't quite as legendary as... THE UNDERTAKER. Every thing is now right in the world. Lastly...for Pete's sake, keep politics out of wrestling!

Warning: This is a BIZARRE wrestling show to watch! Justin and Michelle discuss the Black Scorpion and his big magic trick that had JR speechless, the Phantom of the Microphone Tony Schiavone and the weirdest ending to a match that we've seen yet. To top it all off... this episode of RassleRecap ends SO hilariously, yet so perfectly for this particular show.

Michelle met her HERO, Sting, along with wrestling legend Mick Foley this weekend at Permian Basin Comic Con. She asked them a few questions that they probably don't get asked too often.

Just when Michelle said she appreciates how the excessive backstage interviews have gone away, WWF SummerSlam 1990 happened! With many matches under 5 minutes, this show was an interesting one! Sweet Sapphire was kidnapped (or was she?), we get the debut of a famous Von Erich and Rick Rude cut off his mullet. Lastly, Psychosis also makes his WWF debut at SummerSlam, but oddly sounds like Sensational Sherri?

The Great American Bash is always a great show and 1990 is no exception! Although there is some pretty problematic gear on the Southern Boys, Justin & Michelle feel redeemed with Sting's classic American look. Vader arrives with a 2 minute squash match (poor Z-Man). Lastly, this is the last time we see Mean Mark as...not the Undertaker.

Regardless of what Justin thinks, WCW Capital Combat 1990 has an incredible appearance by THE RoboCop, as well as a return of the Junkyard Dog, Cornette in a cage, and another banger from Ric Flair and Lex Luger. What more could you ask for in 1990?! Well... maybe a little less guyliner on Tony Schiavone. 

WWF WrestleMania 6 is a long one! 13 matches. However, 11 of them are less than 10 minutes long. Thankfully, Justin and Michelle wrap it all up into one hilarious hour (and a half) package for you!

This is the last time we will have Jesse Ventura on commentary, which is devastating to Michelle. In addition, this is Andre's last time in the ring on pay-per-view. Hopefully, it's the last time we see Rhythm & Blues perform in the ring because...WOOF. Oh... and The Genius is still here.

This is a VERY exciting show, simply for the fact that we get our debut of not only Mean Mark Callous aka THE UNDERTAKER, but also, Cactus Jack Manson aka Mick Foley. Spoiler alert: Cactus Jack was... kind of hot? Along with that, JR talks a lot about education and seemingly predicts the future regarding Woman attacking Lex Luger. Join Justin and Michelle as they navigate this hella exciting show, with the best match between Lex Luger and Ric Flair yet!

Justin & Michelle turned that dial on the ol' time machine and have entered the greatest decade of all time, THE NINETIES!!!  What better way to start it off than with the best show of the year (subject to opinion) the ROYAL RUMBLE? Along with some other great matches, we get the debut of Sapphire, a return of Brother LOVE and we say bye-bye to The Genius. Oh yeah... and Big Bossman is SWEATY. 

Welcome to the shortest episode of RassleRecap yet! One match, one movie, and a whole lot of dookie. Vince McMahon & Hulk Hogan supposedly wrote this movie in one day. After seeing the film, we actually kind of believe it. After the movie, there is a PPV with ONE tag team match. Why did Brutus and Randy need to be there?! There is a LOT to unpack in this short episode.

Although Starrcade 1989 has 2 round robin tournaments, there isn't a lack of excitement...because Jim Cornette is on commentary. Never a dull moment!

Justin & Michelle tackle the feat that is WWF Survivor Series 1989. Five matches, 4 wrestlers on each team, 2 teams per match, one dang format for all the matches. Thankfully, the dynamic duo finds a way to make this exciting! However, Michelle is NOT happy with Jake slapping the head of his snake over and over. #metaphor

Welcome to 2025, everybody! New year, old shows! It's what we do! Join Justin and Michelle as they dive into the FIRST ever Halloween Havoc. There are some new faces (The Cuban Assassin?), along with a questionable cage match with some hot talent for the main event. Most importantly, Justin makes a confession that he's held in for over 30 years...until now.

Justin & Michelle have made it to the back half of 1989! WWF SummerSlam 1989 was a weird one, with a few snafus that led to Mean Gene dropping the F bomb on live television. Another large snafu is not having Gorilla Monsoon with Jesse on commentary... which Justin & Michelle have thoughts about. However, DUSTY RHODES RETURNS in his signature black and yellow polka dot attire. Does his muffler have dots too?!

The duo travels back in time to Baltimore to watch WCW Great American Bash 1989! The show starts off hot with a 14-man battle royal, then the poor wrestlers all have a second match on the same show....well, most of them do. There's a Bloodhound, a Komodo dragon and Bill Irwin. Most importantly, Ric Flair heads to Funky town for the main event with his old buddy, Terry Funk. 

Join Justin & Michelle as they head to Nashville for WCW WrestleWar 1989! Junkyard Dog didn't show up, The Iron Sheik returned, and Rikishi is working under an alias known as "Fatu." We also learned that Justin did taekwondo?! Who knew?! Lastly, why the heck wasn't the Flair vs. Steamboat match not the FINAL main event?

Justin and Michelle tackle WWF WrestleMania 5 and it's a long one! 14 matches in one show makes for a tedious watch. However, Tony Schivaone makes his first WWF appearance. Mr. Fuji is shirtless. The Bushwhackers are licking people. Elizabeth can't pick a man. Hulk Hogan is a heel.

It's 1989 and we are in CHICAGO for the Chi-Town Rumble! WCW is continuing to get its feet wet in the world of wrestling pay-per-views. However, they do have a bit of an identity crisis on if they want to be called "WCW" or "NWA." Nevermind that! Chi-Town Rumble might be a "one and done" pay-per-view, but many consider the main event of this show to be the GREATEST wrestling match of all time. Do Justin and Michelle agree? 

We have finally made it to 1989!! The Royal Rumble is always a hit with Justin and Michelle! Join them as they discuss what they liked, disliked, and the one thing they HATED...the Posedown. Who need a 17 minute segment with Rick Rude and Ultimate Warrior posing?! Not us! However, the tense situation between Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan made up for it....almost. 

We have finally arrived at WCW...except, it's still technically an NWA show? Regardless, Starrcade 1988 has leveled up! Unfortunately, after this show, several key pieces of talent will move to the WWF. Dusty Rhodes gets fired after this show for being TOO hardcore! Lastly, the ending of the final match has Michelle PISSED and Justin knew it was coming. Lex Luger 4 Life. 

It's Thanksgiving, once again, at WWF Survivor Series 1988! Jesse Ventura is dressed like a pilgrim, Shawn Michaels has finally arrived and we see butts. Well, just one, since one was blurred out! Join Justin & Michelle as they laugh their way through these long, 10 to 20 man matches, and of course, discuss a much needed format change!

Justin & Michelle cover the inaugural SummerSlam from 1988! Unfortunately, Justin finds a way to bring up "the muffler" again, ew. Although the duo believes a lot of these matches weren't necessary on this pay-per-view card, there were definitely a few stand outs...and a very depressing story about KoKo BWare's parrot, Frankie. RIP, dear bird.

Justin & Michelle discuss NWA The Great American Bash 1988, the very last NWA show under Jim Crockett Promotions before heading to World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Despite selling over 14,000 tickets to this show, JCP was struggling. One would never know with how HOT the crowd was for this show! Apparently, Dusty Rhodes was also hot...and had something shoved in his pants. #muffler

With WrestleMania 4 having 16 MATCHES, this is a bit of a longer episode, but it's a great one! Justin & Michelle discuss the zoo of show (literally, there was a snake, a dog and a parrot). Bob Uecker will not stop talking about his obsession with Vanna White. Hulk Hogan gets his main event moment...even though he's not in the main event. 

Justin & Michelle discuss the FIRST WWF Royal Rumble from 1988. This show was broadcast in direct competition with NWA Bunkhouse Stampede. Will it come out on top? The duo definitely has strong feelings about having a random tag team match after what was seemingly the main event. Also, you'll never hear the word "needle" the same way again....

Justin & Michelle team up this week to talk about NWA Bunkhouse Stampede 1988! The rules of the match are simple. To eliminate your opponent, you must throw him over the top of the cage OR put him through the door...but there are plot holes in the execution of this wild match. However, Dusty Rhodes looks fantastic!

Justin & Michelle discuss the upcoming Vince McMahon documentary on Netflix, Bret Hart's appearance on Monday Night Raw, and the exploding popularity of The Outrunners in AEWQ Then, the brother/sister duo heads back to 1987 to talk about the inaugural SURIVOR SERIES, brought to us by the WWF.

Justin and Michelle are beyond thrilled with the arrival of Sting. The war continues to heat up between NWA and Vince McMahon...err WWF. With WWF premiering the inaugural Survivor Series on the SAME NIGHT as Starrcade 1987, how will the NWA hold up? Well, according to Justin and Michelle, pretty darn well!

After Justin and Michelle give their quick predictions of 2024 AEW All Out and NXT No Mercy, the brother/sister duo covers THE record breaking Wrestlemania that is considered to be the one that "put WWF on the map." With such a great show, what could be bad? Well... wait until you hear the latest @RassleStats count for this episode. Ah, the eighties.

Justin & Michelle give their predictions for WWE's upcoming "Bash in Berlin" before discussing NWA's Starrcade 1986. The competition between NWA and WWF is really heating up! Starrcade '86 may only be in two cities, but we get at LEAST 3 buttcracks! Not to mention, a whole rickety scaffold for Jim Cornette to fall from and break his knees. Yep. That happened. 

Justin & Michelle give their predictions for 2024 AEW's All in before chatting about WWF WrestleMania 2. Will WWF be able to do it again? Will they have another great show? Will New Susan be better than Old Susan? All we know is, if Rowdy Roddy Piper said half the stuff he said on this show in 2024, he would be canceled.

Justin and Michelle discuss NWA Starrcade 1985, as it was a great improvement from the previous year. With the great success of Wrestlemania, NWA had to compete! Two cities, one show....and one Banana ref.

Justin and Michelle talk about WWF's "The Wrestling Classic," the first pay-per-view after Wrestlemania! It's a whole tournament, completed start to finish, in one show...but there is still an unanswered question to this day... What did they win?! What were they fighting for? The only winner was some random in middle America that won a Rolls-Royce!
