🎙️ DAN, AVA & VICKI | 89 Miles, One Incredible Little Girl & An Unforgettable Story ❤️
This week on Probably Shouldn’t Say This…, we’re joined by Dan Lloyd, Ava and her mum Vicki for an episode that is emotional, inspiring and, in true PSST fashion, full of plenty of laughs too.
Ava was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer, which resulted in her losing her eye. Vicki opens up about their family’s journey through Ava’s diagnosis and treatment, and what life has been like for their incredibly brave little girl.
Then there’s Dan… 👀
Dan decided he wanted to do something special to help and took on the ridiculous challenge of running 89 MILES from Pembroke all the way to his football club in Port Talbot, raising money towards a very special prosthetic eye for Ava. 🏃♂️❤️
He tells us exactly what it took to complete the challenge, the highs, the lows, the pain… and why the word “Llanelli” may haunt him for the rest of his life 😂
At the heart of this episode, though, is Ava - an amazing little girl with a huge personality and an incredible family around her. ❤️
A massive thank you to Dan, Vicki and of course Ava for coming in and trusting us to share their story.
