On this episode of the Pizza Story Podcast we have Audrey Kelly from Audrey Jane’s Pizza Garage in Boulder. Audrey was born and raised in Colorado into a family of great dough makers (her family has owned bagel companies all of her life).

She fell in love with pizza as a child seeing her father’s love of the food and having pizza play a pivotal role in her family celebrations growing up. 


Audrey had studied culinary arts and was pursuing a degree in journalism, but her passion for food never truly faded. While living in Italy 🇮🇹 she fell in love with pizza all over again and started working in kitchens to gain experience. Even though she worked in places from high-end restaurants to casual dining spots, pizza was always her passion. 


After moving to San Francisco, Audrey studied under the uber-talented Tony Gemignani who has mentored so many of the amazing pizzaiolo’s and pizzaiola’s that we have on the show (we’d love to have you any time @capopizza 🍕).


Returning back to Colorado, she was eager to craft exceptional pizzas for the people of Boulder. As a family-owned venture with her brother, Audrey Jane’s Pizza Garage has a custom designed my menu, offering traditional pizzeria items as well as creative, unique dishes that are original to the place. Serving speciality pies like the Green Mountain that has a copious pile of spinach with ricotta and garlic and Castleville Toronto olives (yum). As well as a house favorite called The Spicy Pig made with natural-casing pepperoni. 


Almost everything is made in-house at the Pizza Garage including the sausage, meatballs and even homemade ranch. They even roast their own jalapeños 🌶️.


♥️ Audrey describes her love of pizza as something that’s layered. She’s constantly evolving her craft to create amazing pies.

Jeff is not just a husband, father, and registered nurse, but also a basketball coach, podcast host of Life's Essential Ingredients (which I’ve proudly been a guest), and the founder of C4 Leaders®. Tony Gemignani incredible book guided Ed as he perfected his craft. Through hard work, dedication, and a little help from Tony's expert teachings, Ed went on to become the 2022 NE Non-Traditional Division Winner at the International Pizza Expo, the 2024 Real California Pizza Contest Winner, and an Ooni Ambassador. Best of luck this year to Ed as he goes back to the Pizza Expo to compete 🏆


Ed it also a fellow Pittsburgh native and has the inside info on the best pizzeria’s in the Burgh 💛🖤.
