Sea of Thieves Season 15 was poisoned and died a slow agonizing death. Did Season 16 rise from the ashes or continue the stale direction Season 15 left us in? I also discuss the recent Sea of Thieves Official Podcast where Mike Chapman and team discuss the history of story telling and the future of Lore and Story of Sea of Thieves

Enough of the spicy yelling at Rare, let's discuss the new content in Season 15 and how impressed I am with what they have created. Ok, I lied, there will be some spice!

First off a life update is needed due to the lack of episodes. Once that hard conversation is done I take the conversation to the Seas and discuss the 2024 Sea of Thieves game play and how it may be the roughest year of the game to date. Over the holidays I had dinner with Sea of Thieves friends and we discussed our thoughts over the years of the game and what needs done for the future. I'll take you into that conversation and discuss how I think 2025 will be a critical point for the game and it's future.

Off the back of a rough ending to Season 13 due to poor updates, I was looking forward to getting some fixes in place and new toys to play with. Season 14 is here and though it has brought some needed stability to the servers, there are MANY issues and broken promises.

In this episode I discuss the continued struggles between bug fix and server performance and Rare's drive for new content. Unfortunately the quality of content they are putting out is not holding the attention of players and more and more players just want a game that works. So what is Content and what does Rare mean when they say they need to add "new Content" to Sea of Thieves and not focus on game performance?

Sea of Thieves Community Day was rough. With the February update changing how Rare is developing the game for an expanded audience and updating Direct X frameworks, they caused a host of log in issues and player invite issues which really hurt players on Community Day play with their friends. Sea of Thieves is also struggling as there are many Season 11 game breaking exploits (reported by Insiders prior to release) which have not been dealt with and on Community day a decision to nerf Athena rewards to punish exploiters also punished normal players as well.

Sea of Thieves Season 11 had great promise with some of the quality of life features it previewed, unfortunately the execution was terrible and the season launched very rocky with lag, bugs and exploits both old and new. Since it's launch Rare has done several maintenances on the game and a larger patch to fix issues. Server performance is better but the Season still suffers with issues.

Sea of Thieves Season 11 has arrived and it brings with it a massive amount of QoL updates which players have been asking for. Driving, new loot, on demand events and much much more. Can Rare execute it? We will find out but first I want to look at this Season's preview and discuss why this Season has me excited to start sinking more hours into this game.

The Obsidian Banjo has returned! The drama surrounding time limited cosmetics returning is crazy and I go into it along with telling you how to claim this amazing instrument. As the Dark Deception has now come to a close, let's rate it and give it an overall score. Personally this was one of the best adventures they have done. Finally lets dive into the SoT Podcast and learn why Season 10 was delayed and what the horizon has for the increasingly cumbersome UI in game.

The Sea of Thieves  2nd mystery is solved! Also this week we received patch 2.8.3 which has a long requested feature included along with some other major changes which were previewed weeks ago. The XBOX showcase has happened and Rare showed up. During A Pirates Life Tall Tale 1 we got an Easter Egg in Guybrush Threepwood's ship from the Lucas Arts game "Monkey Island." From that moment on we knew that IP would be coming to Sea of Thieves and today we got the answer. On July 20th we will enter Season 10 and get the latest content update from Rare in "The Legend of Monkey Island" where we will venture outside the Sea of Thieves and explore new areas and new characters from the Monkey Island IP.

What cool limited time cosmetics can you unlock if you play before June? Let's take a look. In the wake of boarding changes to Sea of Thieves in the last patch, a letter from the Competitive Community was written to Rare in a plead to stop changing the game for Competitive Players. This episode I discuss the first part of the mystery and my over all experience. Rare is setting an unfortunate president on how they handle their player base. Removing features due to only 1% of players interacting with them, but developing new features which only 1% or less of players interact with fully. I go into examples and details of this.  Patch 2.8.2 is here but didn't all land well with the community. This patch has a LOT of great fixes and changes but it also filled the community with drama. I'll go over my highlights and low lights of the patch. Voyage of a Life time was a beautiful documentary which focused on Sea of Thieves core value: A sandbox game for the Community. I love it and I discuss the importance of the documentary and learning the history of the game and what Rare's focus will be in the future. Season 9 has 4 months in it, and it ends right at the time of the XBOX showcase (formally E3). With the energy currently in the game this feels like a perfect time for the next big thing for the game (Like "A Pirates Life"). I look at what I think will happen at the expo and what I expect from Rare in their big announcement.

It's almost been 5 years which we have been able to sail the seas. Over those years titles, cosmetics, loot have all had different levels of prestige and respect for those who earn them or stole them. As more and more content has came to the game some of the most prestigious titles, cosmetics and loot have lost their magic. In this episode I will discuss some of the top prestigious loot and why it doesn't mean as much. I will also look at cosmetics and titles which use to mean "that is a bad pirate" and now have very little meaning to most players. ============================================================ 💲💲Support:💲💲 Tip:https://streamelements.com/davrimgaming-5955/tip Directly Sponsor my content: https://www.patreon.com/davrimtv Crypto: https://1upcoin.com/donate/youtube/davrimtv CashApp: $Davrim 💚Patreon Rewards (based on level):💚 ✅Mention in credits - Podcast and YouTube ✅Merch ✅Personalized Holiday cards mailed to you ============================================================ Connect: Email the Show: PirateTalkRadioPodcast@gmail.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/DavrimTV Game Legion Discord: https://discord.gg/uU3dXEzSs2 ============================================================ Content: ▶ Sea of Thieves Podcast: Pirate Talk Radio: https://ptr.buzzsprout.com ▶ Davrim's YouTube: YouTube.com/DavrimTV ============================================================ WARNING: Content can be loud and crude, but we have fun.

In this episode, I look back over 2022 and discuss my top highlights and the low lights for Sea of Thieves. I look at the experience I had recently with the QoL changes to Season 8 and my 8 hour pvp session. I also offer my services to Rare to become the task master to fix the issues of the game for 2023. Join me as we take a walk through memory lane and say goof bye to 2022. ============================================================ 💲💲Support:💲💲 Tip:https://streamelements.com/davrimgaming-5955/tip Directly Sponsor my content: https://www.patreon.com/davrimtv Crypto: https://1upcoin.com/donate/youtube/davrimtv CashApp: $Davrim 💚Patreon Rewards (based on level):💚 ✅Mention in credits - Podcast and YouTube ✅Merch ✅Personalized Holiday cards mailed to you ============================================================ Connect: Email the Show: PirateTalkRadioPodcast@gmail.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/DavrimTV Game Legion Discord: https://discord.gg/uU3dXEzSs2 ============================================================ Content: ▶ Sea of Thieves Podcast: Pirate Talk Radio: https://ptr.buzzsprout.com ▶ Davrim's YouTube: YouTube.com/DavrimTV ============================================================ WARNING: Content can be loud and crude, but we have fun.
